Greetings, its your ol pal Alex Zander and yes I have been pissed. And now I get to explain to you where the hell the site has been and why it was down. Its really good and bad. Good because of www.mkultramag.coms growing popularity and success, and bad because the server we chose last summer to host the site, and seemed promising, was not able to handle the traffic. And to add some drama to the saga, the man who we signed up to host the server with took off to Thailand last fall without letting us know. Bad because we could not contact him or locate the guy for weeks when we began experiencing problems with the service. Upon locating him, we continued experiencing problems. I SHOULD have seen this as a sign, but instead of switching to another server at the time, I renewed our agreement with him, although he was still in Thailand and sent a check to his USA address. That was when the site ceased to be. After we finally were able to get a response we were told we had too much traffic. BUT my email also went down, which has caused the most sever business problems and monetary losses. Frustration set in and when we had no other choice but to stop payment on his check (6 mos. Advance payment) we had to shop for a worthy server who could handle, host, and maintain a site the size and traffic tat we get. Then there were contracts, arguments, blah blah blah. And nobody has been more stressed and frustrated than yours truly. And thats mainly because Ive been good at and done my best at keeping this site fresh every damn day for all of you true believers and new friends and fans. There are so many sites out there for you to go to for your daily dose and you keep coming back to MK ULTRA Online. And I want to make that worth your while. In this time, and with these problems I have also been dealing with labels, advertisers, bands and distribution. Just check out where MK is available to buy now. Its pretty amazing because things are growing really fast here. Not too bad for only having two new issues out there. And now the third, biggest, and best is at the printer today! I cant wait for you to see it
.. There is much-too-much to talk about, but Ill start fresh on new diary happening tomorrow. There is a HUGE PIGAFACE Tour that we are sponsoring that has Thrill Kill Kult, Bile, and Zeromancer on the bill (perhaps this genres greatest tour package ever!) Fashion Bomb is playing all over the place and has an ever-growing fanbase that is sickening. Im going to do some work with Apocalypse Theatre in about a week on their Primal-Tek movie Zombie Nation and lot of other exciting things going on. We have two new writers on the staff whose bios and photos youll be able to check out in the next few days. (Alex from California and Nina from Texas.)
. But right now I feel the desire and need to clear the air about one issue. This diary! Now, I am flattered that people find my adventures and misadventures interesting enough to read on a daily basis. I do a lot of crazy shit and antics that sometimes get me hurt in a JACKASS sort of way. But I have never, nor would I ever go out of my way to use this rant to attack anyone for any reason. I do not do things on the sly. When I have something to say, I will say it to your face. This has earned me a bit of a reputation in the past because Ive learned to apologize when I get over dramatic and passionate when Im heated, but that comes with being a man. However, I will never say something behind someones back that I would not say to their face. What I do I use this space to write about are things from my point of view only. This is not an editorial; it is a diary, and a public one at that. It is sad that some people need to misinterpret what I do and write about, as personal attacks to lash at someone, especially in one case someone I don not know. I am simply NOT THAT KIND OF GUY. I write about my observations and they may be what I think my pals are up to etc. but those are my observations and persona feelings. People who are ignorant and close-minded enough to interpret these writings are of the same caliber as those who think KISS stands for KNIGHTS IN SATANS SERVICE and think OZZY songs make you kill yourself. I like to write about my good times with my good friends many of who are people in or coming into the national spotlight. That is one of the reasons I love and embrace this career the way I do. I am not content with just listening to the band and watching them perform, I like to go to the party, and at my expense, sometime have become the party. If you wanna come to the party, then be our friends, dont accuse me of writing about a topic as a way of harming someone. I just dont have time for that kind of bullshit
...Now with that said, lets get back to rebuilding this website. I have a lot of catching up to do. And I intend on doing it. AZ (now you know why I drink)
