Good-bye Johnny Ramone

I woke up today to some pretty bad news. Johnny Ramone died and The Blackest Of The Black tour has been cancelled. So needless to say my great mood has sorta gone south. I posted the story abut Johnny Ramone first thing, and will leave that as the only post till about noon, being it is the most significant. Must not be to MTV because as of right now thy still haven't posted it and their top story is about Nelly. There seems to be a lot of news today so I will be pretty busy this morning.

Last night we did the I LOVE RICH album cover and back cover photo shoot. I found a throne from a prop store and they had it delivered and it was pretty cool after Karlton put the rest of the backdrops and lights up. He also found 2 girls to do shots with the band. Blake and Shena were there and I walked in the rain down Milwaukee to a convenience store called Always Open to grab some beer. The lady behind the counter saw my "I LOVE MY RUIN" T-shirt and asked, "MY RUIN...aren't they..? " I said a great LA band. To which she replied, "They have that girl, what's her name?", and I answered, "Tairrie B, she's a friend." And the woman went on about how she discovered them 2 years ago and that she though Tairrie to have the best voice in rock n roll. Well, I can't argue with that, but I'm more happy that there are people out there in Chicago who are fans of the band.

Miss B and I are back in touch and she's been sharing some of what they are working on and details about her meeting with Henry Rollins. She also has a myspace.com account or two.

The shoot though, going late actually went very well. Rich rented a scepter and a Kings robe, to go with the title "Year Of The Rich". The record is done, and they have officially sign with SONIC WAVE INTERNATIONAL, the same label who is putting out Ron Marks new SUBSONIC record. Wonder boy Blake was there helping Karlton out and I kinda ignored everyone long enough to hear Cartman sing one of my favorite songs on South Park. Something I suspect everyone thinks was strange, even for me.

Oh, and speaking of myspace, a couple of my porn star friends have added themselves to my friends list, and we're all getting wound up for Vega$. This will be my 2nd AVN trip and my 4th trip to Vega$, but my first as a single guy, which could prove to be quite a different experience than my other visits out there. Maybe or maybe not who knows. One thing I am looking forward to is that this time the entire industry knows who we are and in that respect in is going to significantly different experience for me, one which I am looking forward to.

The new issue is taking shape. We already have Slayer, Macabre, Scum Of The Earth (featuring Riggs of Rob Zombie) as well as Blaskos (of Rob Zombie) new project The Death Riders, Shadows Fall, Lamb Of God and of course Die Warzau. Also, Roxy Saint! The horror film industry has taken notice as well and we'll be doing a whole lot more with them.

This puppy will be out a lot quicker than the last one.

And specking of Puppy's, it looks like the Skinny Puppy tour is on it's second leg and the band should be swinging through here relatively soon. So will Roxy Saint!

That's all for now from HQ!
