Rewind

Miss me?
It has been an uneventful week, but not one that I haven't enjoyed actually. The stereotypical Chicago winter is upon us in a way it hasn't been since 4 years ago. There is snow, it keeps snowing and it's freakin cold.

Been talking to Sabrina Satana every night or so. She's now in LA. Looks like a lot of our team are heading west. Was Morrison correct? "The west is the best, come out here and we'll do the rest." Sounds tempting.

Sunday I got the word that our video for SUBSONIC's "Dream American" was online. I posted a story about it, several other websites picked up on it and a lot of people ended up, and so far, have continued to view it. Another job done.

Monday after boxing more of my belongings, what is left, we went to Tony's and stocked up on produce to do some fancy work in la cocina. Ang and I both worked together on our own separate Mexican specialties. It was fun. She made some of the best guacamole I've ever had. I made salsa and burritos by blending together a la variedad de ingredientes. The result was incredible.

Tuesday night I watched Gene Simmons equal Simon what's his name in being condescending on American Idol. It's the first time I've ever seen that show. Gene was a prick, but that's to be expected by now. And someone, anyone needs to give that guy a lesson is how to dress. Whatever he wears, which is the same all the time, is not flattering. And what's that on his head. Yeah, I hear ya', and you're right, there WAS a time, when in my eyes, the Demon could do no wrong. But those days are long gone.

The comic relief came when some crackhead named Leroy came on the show and crackd us all up. I couldn't wait for Greg to come over, which he did with a 1/5 of Makers Mark which we had no problem in extinguishing.

Al and Angie J wrote from LA where they were preparing to have dinner with Ogre. DAMMIT! But WTF are these doom rockers doing in fucking LA dammit? I wanna go!

Got a box of toys from Eric at Toxic Toons and he also sent me a few new shirts. I've been reviewing Eric's work for several years, he sent me a couple fun books a while back. Recently he did the artwork for former Rob Zombie axe grinder Riggs on his SCUM OF THE EARTH CD. Last week I was at Tower and saw a line of his toys, I wrote to congratulate and voila, I got a check and some swag. See his banner above on the site and visit his domain. And BUY HIS STUFF.

Yesterday, it should come as no surprise, Motley Crues management canceled their commitment to doing a Motley release party with us at NEO. So far there is SO MUCH trouble brewing in that camp that one cannot help but wonder, will the tour actually get to the point where it will endure or will it implode like last time they were all four together. It's not a good sign when all 4 members refuse to get along to the point that they each need their own coach in which to travel. Let the circus begin, and it's certain to be a spectacle. I guess troubling thing about this is that it was the bands people who asked us if we'd do something with them. FUCK, if they cannot make that happen,, how are they going to deal with a whole tour? I mean, it's not like they don't need the PR, especially in a large market the likes of Chicago. The single the band released isn't exactly burning up the airwaves. The latest Priest on the other hand, well...... Fuck em.
Yesterday the snow came again, we drove around in it, and found the rush hour traffic and conditions, ridiculous. Going out was not in the cards so we chilled in. Tonight it's off to the bowling alley. Wanna go?

Sunday night, I LOVE RICH at Darkroom.
