It's that time of year again that things begin to get unusually busy. It's gets so overwhelming that it gets exhausting especially now that I'm back in the 40 hour plus work
Over the last 2 weeks it has been so busy Kelly and I have been eating out at places like Heaven On Seven, twice, O'Neil's about 5 times, inside the Saks building, at Foodlife in Water Tower, Holiday Club and Luna Mexicana as well as various Mexican and Asian restaurants. The odd thing of this is it has nothing to do with my love of and great skill of food preparation. And it doesn't look like things will change anytime soon.
Tomorrow I get half a day off to go out on teh lake with my co-workers on a yacht to watch teh air and water show. I guess they are all going to Greektown afterwards, YUM. Next week both Garbage and DEVO are coming to town and Sat and Sun are Glamour Con out in Rosemont. And if you read last years confession "Glamour Is A Rocky Road" you'll see that it can be quite a vivacious as well as exhausting experience.
My only solace remains in a planned camping trip to Sweet Minnihaha in WI and in Oct a trip to Sedona where I will take my mothers ashes high up into the red rocks and place her remains in the most beautiful and peaceful place I've been, at a vortex where John, Kelly and I will hold a ceremony to her passing.
It will by then have been one year since my mother passed ad in that time I've taken inventory of my life. I made some life changing decisions about how I would go on with my life and found a peace within me I never knew existed. Her sudden and unexpected journey to the other side really made me take another look at the life I've been living and how I plan to go on. And most of that has to do with choices. What can I do to avoid teh mistakes I've made before and how can I learn from them. That is why I am where I am today.
And with that said I invite you to join my growing friends list on my space at www.myspace.com/206599 FYI I do look at everyones profile before I accept or deny them as a potential friend. If I have nothing in common with you or don't already know you, I more than likely won't add you. This is not a numbers game to me. It is for networking and keeping in touch.
Yesterday a few of my friends had the following to say about me in the bulletins section of the popular site. Some of them made me laugh. The topic was , "Judgment Day": Say something about the person who posted above you.
Alex. Something happened to Alex at a very young age which destroyed his ability to act like a normal adult. Whereas some people would seek therapy for such a trauma, Alex has turned it into a career. A personal hero. - Vincent
