One more thing, in the next few days prepare for the OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT of AL Jorgensen's birthday party after their Chicago show at NEO. If you were at the release party on that Monday you know I can draw them in. This will be the party of the year. With maybe the exception of Nico and Edie's Factory Party in Sept. Members of TKK, MINISTRY and REVOLTING COCKS will all be in attendance on Oct 10, which is a Sunday. Al's B day is the 9th, but he wants to celebrate in Chicago with his good friends. Hey Alex! Where The HELL Are you?
That has been the question of the summer. I'm alive and well, where am I? I'm in Chicago preparing to move into a new place and I really like it. Just me and my cats and it's staying that way. I have been biking my ass off and spending time with old friends and making new friends. I feel like I live at Street Side. I end up there to rap with my friend Gina and eat their incredible food.
Thursday night El Grego and I went out late night bar hopping. And Friday I was at a Lincoln Park deck party with my new friends Rachael and Cassie and some other girl whose names escape me. (Sorry) But I'm not sorry for the political retard who was offended by my tales of the porn industry. HA! Trying to out smart me doesn't work you right wing fascist bitch. I guess you won't be back.
Saturday was Street Side for Metal Night and we came back to a wild wild party that we did not expect. Marcos, John and I hooked up with Tommy and we hung with Lesley and a Melissa and Matt and then when we got back, like I said there was a massive party going down.
But it was at this place that I met the two coolest babes I've met in Chicago and maybe just about my whole life. Real artists, who live in their art, real fans of Iggy and best of all Andy Warhol. In fact I was amazed to hear they are throwing a Factory Party in Edie's Loft. They are going as far as to do everything in silver. Their names are Shena Shanell and Paige and NO SHIT they totally fucking rock. They have their own styles and are open honest and un-offended.
I cannot wait to get photos of them to share with all of you. I know they were taking some of us all together that night so maybe those will pop up.
I didn't get any sleep at all that night and we had to pick up more of my stuff and then play kick ball. Well I had to sit it out because I would have had a stroke this day. So I called the ladies and after we were in the midst of the game they came walking down the boulevard, Paige in a short dress white with cherries patterned on it, and a big black at, and Shena Shanell in a dress as well. And we sat on a blanket drinking beer and I'm sure it looked like I was the luckiest man alive and the envy of everyone on the field. But we are friends and getting along famously. Fiends prepare to see a lot more of these babes. After the game we returned to Street Side and then for some reason I found myself at the Pontiac Cafe the same bar who lost the kick ball game to the Street Side Homicide.
I slept early that night and spent all day Monday biking all over this city. And for the first time in my life got a cell phone. Something I swore I'd never do. The I finally ate at Kelsey's, went and had wings at Street Side, then went to a party at Ranallis where drinks we $1 and tried to go to Neo but Mr. RUDE was so shitty we had one drink and left. However the party at Ranallis was a Hawaiian Hula theme and they had grass skirts etc. Laura and Rachael wore them and danced around John, Marcos and I. And we had a total blast there. So it made up for the rudeness being displayed by that guy who hates us for being us.

LAINIE ROCKS

So, AZ and Marcos went sailing yesterday and it was a fuck of a ride. The waves were pushing 6 ft, the wind was up to 24 knots and Marcos was a natural.
After that we went to Street Side for Metal Night then to the Double Door for my boys American Motherload. Staci and her friend taught me the definition of the word "hanger on" which is a lifeform that lower than a groupie.
Went to AML ' after show party at LIARS and saw everyone except for someone who I was told was there who never even popped up on my radar in the first place. I woke up at 2PM on their sofa and Gary gave me a lift back home as we blasted their killer tunes.
Went back to sleep missed kick ball and now I'm coming back out baby.

Sound Bar Blues

Today began just about as fucked up as any day in any schmucks life could. Somehow after breaking sweat in the Chicago humidity and ridiculous heat, it got better once I got out of the house.
#1) Got an email from Angie and Al Jourgenson and MINISTRY are going to play a one -off Chicago show on Al's B day. They want me to throw another party at NEO for the afterparty and for the birthday boy.
#2) Mortiss is for sure flying from Norway in Sept. to stay with me and appear in person at his record release party I'm doing at NEO. He's in NYC today filming his video then Earache are paying for his flight in Sept to come play in Chicago. You have to see the two of us in rare form.
#3) We are plugged again, this time at www.ainews.com/story/7111/ so that's 3 in a row that I'm aware of this week for some MK promotion. Being that today everyone should have received their issues I imagine next week will be huge. Single orders are coming in from all over through pay pal.
#4) My brother is coming in August to stay with me and go to Ozzfest. Now that's going to be a hoot.
Last night my friend Lesley picked me up and took me to what was supposed to be a cool fashion Show at The Sound bar downtown. Now fucking Jesse Jane could of been there and it wouldn't have made it any better. She was wearing a really hot black dress with her tats showing as sleeves and I of course was in black with my cowboy boots. We made a few observations and after about an hour and a half of downtown yuppiedrone BS we spilt looked for the car and came home. It was cool hanging out and chatting with her, but I have no use for clubs like Sound Bar and neither does she.
Lesley is running the Chicago Underground film fest this year. And there are bands after the showings everynight after the screening. This years guest is MK's favorite Jim Van Bebber.
Big weekend planned and and even BIGGER week next week. I'm actually pretty excited about it.

Irony or Nirvana
So is this ironic? I watched the sun come up from North Ave. beach around 5am and later that evening watched the sun go down from a sailboat on Lake Michigan. Alice Cooper was playing at Navy Pier and we could hear him as we circled the pier and at 10:20 watched the fireworks before heading back to the dock. Now is that ironic?
One of the other sailors called it Nirvana.

I really have to thank Vera Blue for coming 60 miles outside of the city to rescue a confused and inebriated AZ. I spent a lot of time with a lot of girls and nobody and I mean NOBODY ever came so close to dragging my drunk ass out to North Ave. Beach stripping off my Harley boots and leather pants and dancing in the surf in our underwear like to frolicing children. And then the sand up my ass and hers as we sat and watched that bright orange sun creep it's self over the bright blue Lake Michigan. Almost made it worth everything I'm going through that got me there. Did you see drifting wood? BOOOOOOOOING? Vera that shit was fucking awesome.

Had a hectic day today. First thing in the AM went with I LOVE RICH to Arlington Heights for a meeting with Sonic Wave Records. Met a rap artist who drove all the way from Alabama hoping to get the same deal.
10 days ago I left my bike which was giving me trouble (from being hit by cars so much) tied up at the corner of Broadway/Clark and Diversey, and IT WAS STILL THERE. I would have been ecstatic if the lock alone was still there. Anyway, put it on the front of a bus after dragging it 6 blocks and dragged it 3 more blocks from my stop home.
Then saw Chris Connelly to give him a magazine, bought 2 footlong veggie subs at SUBWAY(tm), sweat more coming home and am now tring to slap envelopes together.
So far it's been a 3 shower day.
Now if all goes well I'll be putting together an I LOVE RICH tour with them playing at the AVN Awards show.

To have a ball
It's noon and I've just watched Al on VH-1 Classics premier of the Alternative. He was pretty funny in his own way. I know Eddie Trunk the host is more of a KISS fan than that of MINISTRY, and he doesn't come off very well. Al did announce for sure that PUPPY will tour with them in the fall. Prior to that he mentioned MINISTRY will play a couple one off warm up gigs. Some of the videos were pretty good, some were pretty bad, and it's all older 120 minutes kind of shtick.
Preparing to eat a huge rectum busting burrito Taqueri El Palenque, and then in one hour meeting for kick ball. So far Street Side in undefeated, and being I didn't have but 4 beers all yesterday we may win another. But it's hot out and I'm sweaty already. And with the combo of Gina's Gatorade and Vodka, we will surely dehydrate and rehydrate. Tomorrow taking I LOVE RICH to meet Anand at Sonic Wave to see if they want a record deal. Should be a productive week since I really have no plans but to work and pack. - AZ

Hanging With ZO2 At Liars Club
What a great couple of days. The party at Liars Club w/ ZO2 was amazing, and they gave me and Greg ALL ACCESS VIP passes for KISS and we had front row center, which was pretty awesome. We were backstage and on the stage itself. We had a really good time hanging out with everyone. Nothing like see KISS from where we were. Thanks so much to all involved and thanks to you beautiful people showing up and showing your support. I even got to hang out with my bro Moe. More details later. And lots more photos to come.

The Scoop 4 The Snoops
Okay snoops, since you have all felt it to email me wondering why I haven't updated the Diary Of A Damned Man, here you go.
Friday and Sat I just rested, got a good solid 8 hours of sleep each night to prepare for Sunday. On July 4th Tony and I loaded up a cooler full of beer and grub and went to the wonderful TWEETER Center to see the Loop Fest 2004 show. Now we new going out there that we may as well be going across the state line because it sure felt and looked and smelled like Hoosier Heavy. he mullets were a plenty as were the Hill Jenny's. Lots of guys in blue jeans with their shirts off. It is something familiar that you build up a tolerance for when you go 30 miles any direction out of the city. But it still isn't a happy site.
So we got our tickets and sold the extras for more beer money and proceeded to go into the show. BLUE OYSTER CULT went on first which was sad to see them go on before TESLA. And we were about 4th row center and enjoyed their nice long set. BOC are one of my old faves and it's always a pleasure to see them. The old boys were full of energy and extremely polished.
After BOC it was TESLA and that means I wasn't in my seat. And neither was T Bone. We were meeting people and making friends and I gave out all of my business cards. We took a lot of pictures with the people as well. They were being extremely nice to me for some reason. These photos will pop up in the AZ and Fiends 2 gallery either tonight or tomorrow.
We took our seats for the THE DOORS, and of course they were amazing. Ian is the perfect guy to fill Morison's boots. I mean even in the late 80's everyone raved about how much like Jim he was during the Cults period. They played a lot of tunes and some stuff from LA WOMAN as well as a nice long extended version of one of my favorites, BACK DOOR MAN. They did ALABAMA SONG and a ton of others. I think they played close to 2 hours. T got a lot of photos and they will be posted tonight if not tomorrow.
ZZ TOP took the stage next and they were extremely slick. It has been over 20 years since I've seen them and it was better than I remember it was back in the 80's. before the whole ELIMINATOR phase.

On the way home we stopped into Estelle's and had a few nite-cps and I came home and crashed.
Monday I was feeling pretty bored, it was a government holiday which meant everything decent was closed, and if it wasn't it was ungodly dead. so Grego came over and we walked down to Dorothy's and to Street Side. After that we ended up at Heavenly Bodies where we created a stir with our long hair. They don't get many of our types there they told us and to make a long story short, we weren't exactly welcome so we left and ended up at Crazy Horse where for once I actually had a pretty good time. It was kind of dead so we got lots of attention. They weren't happy that we didn't take lap dances or buy them drinks but they still hung out with us. I actually met someone from my hood working there.
Really late I got a call from one of the new ViXXXens who lives in Vega$ her name is Talia Juliette check out her hot images on the ViXXXens page. And then the next morning Kiva woke me up, she is a new ViXXXens and it turns out she had a 3 hour layover at midway, but it would have been a hassle to meet up with her, especially considering I thought I would be getting the mag that day. My friend Sharon from Boston and chatted and she emailed me some photos of her and Trent Reznor. Look for those in AZ and Fiends 2.
Both Talia and Kiva have ironically worked in Adult Films. Seem to be a new trend for the ViXXXens.
Tuesday I was hoping to go to Kenosha to pick up my copes of MK that they printed, but though they had shipped to eth distributors, they didn't have my balance ready so I won't be getting that till tomorrow. So I finished up some business and took the train out to Rosemont where Bob picked me up and we grilled out at his place. He has a new beautiful Cadillac and it was really nice to ride in. People kept pulling up to him and complimenting him on his ride.
So Vera said she would come out to hang out and since she works 3rd shift I figured it's be about 2 AM when she showed up. NO, it was 4AM and I was dead and most likely not a lot of fun. I mean I was dragging. I felt bad because at 6 I had to ask her to leave because I was ready to fall asleep. (see her new nude pix by Karlton in her gallery) At 830 AM I was awake again, feeling exhausted but still couldn't get back to sleep. I didn't think to tae any of my sleeping pills, but Bob had taken 4 and wasn't up till 2 PM, which sucked because was pretty bored all morning and there's nothing to do out there. I got home at 4 and immediately began taking and returning calls. The guys from ZO2 called and asked if it was cool to bring POISON and the road crew with them to LIARS CLUB tomorrow night. I gave them a hearty HELL YES! And told them it's going to be a pleasure meeting them. Then Elizabeth Starr called and she has pneumonia and had to cancel her trip here tomorrow. But it's cool cause she'll be here in two weeks and hopefully my schedule is going to be a lot less eventful. I'm telling you, when it rains it fucking pours.
Also the actress Glenda Cole emailed me from LA and asked if she could put the photo of her kissing me on the cheek on her site. WELL, OF COURSE. She is so cool. See her at www.glendacole.com
So I am getting my copies of MK tomorrow and throwing the Pre KISS show party at LIARS and the concert is Friday, Saturday is Metal Night at Street Side with Charlie and Rodney, the Sunday is kick ball. I actually think Grego is going to play with us this time.

Thanks to all the wonderful bartenders of Chicago. My boring self-imposed isolation/exile of late last week was worth it.

Seeing Starrs, Spiderman, and Legendary Bands

Hot and sweaty today, like good sex, dripping wet. And dehydrating. It's been a pretty weird week. As I tried to nap yesterday a guy from HUSTLER called me, now try talking business with them for the first time as you're half awake. Talked to a lot of porn companies last night and it turns out porn star Elizabeth Starr (www.elizabethstarr.com) is going to be in town next week and she is coming to the pre-KISS concert party at LIARS CLUB on July 8th. I actually met her and her husband Kevin Starr at the Key Club in W Hollywood for the Cleopatra 10 year party and saw them again last Jan at the AVN Expo in Vega$. And then on Friday I'm meeting them at Ranallis to talk about advertising. Turns out they are big fans of MK and have been waiting for our crossover issue, which comes out next week. Kevin is one of my favorite LA Dudes.
So as I've been biking my ass off in the wonderful Chicago heat (at least it stopped raining, for now), I decided to treat my self and I went to see Spiderman 2 today, and I swear it was the best $6.50 I've ever spent. Way better than the first which I loved and way exceeded my expectations. I could have paid $13 and it would have been worth it. And being I grew up on the comic and literally had over 1000 Spiderman comix this was like scripture for me. It's no wonder it's breaking records. And it was a roller coaster ride as well, with every element to make a great film, romance, action, violence, drama, adventure and the best villain the screen has ever seen.
I have 2 meetings tomorrow and one is to bring in another band to do PR for. I'm not going to discuss who it is at this time but they are one of my all time favorite Chicago rock bands. Sunday it's off to the burbs to see ZZ Top, The Door, and Blue Oyster Cult.
