Look for MTV to put the "M" back in its programming. The channel will return to a significant music video rotation in the middle of this month, and continue through the summer, giving its support to an ailing music industry in a partnership that goes back to the early days of the station. At the same time, MTV2 will also boost its commitment to rock & roll.

Speaking of MTV, the channel is one of several cable entities that will offer an alternative to reruns and second-rate reality programming on the over-the-air networks this summer. The channel will air 10 new episodes of its Emmy-winning series The Osbournes, all shot before 17-year-old Jack entered rehab in April, after getting "caught up in [his] new lifestyle" as a part-time A&R rep for Epic, dad Ozzy and sister Kelly’s former label. In related news, Ozzy claims in People that he’s cleaned up his act and is now running five miles a day.
