Stray Cats Howl Again For Hootenanny

The ninth annual southern California rockabilly/car culture festival
Hootenanny will be held July 5-6 at a new location, Cal State
University-Fullerton Field in Fullerton, Calif. The festival's headliners
will be Stray Cats (July 5) and Social Distortion (July 6). Over 300 classic
cars will be on display, courtesy of a number of local car clubs.

The festival, which had been a one-day concert in previous years, has been
expanded into a full weekend this year. It will also include performances by
the likes of the Blasters, John Doe, Little Richard, Junior Brown, Rocket
>From The Crypt, Cadillac Tramps, and Dave Vanian and his Phantom Chords.

The performance by the Stray Cats -- guitarist/vocalist Brian Setzer,
bassist Lee Rocker, and drummer Slim Jim Phantom -- will be the group's
first since 1992, as it celebrates the 25th anniversary of its inception.

Tickets for the festival are available through Ticketmaster for $45 per day
or $80 for both days. For more information, including a full festival
lineup, visit the Hootenanny's official Web site
