New York, NY: Gloom 'n doom may decorate TYPE O NEGATIVE's sonic landscape,
but the band sure has a lot to smile about these days! Sure, Peter Steele
and his delightfully miserable cohorts might perish the thought of ever
turning their permanent frowns upside down, but since the release of Life Is
Killing Me, everything's been coming up roses for TYPE O NEGATIVE.

The band just returned from a successful European tour, playing nearly all
sold-out shows in over 12 countries, and is about to grace U.S. soil for the
first time in way too long. The band kicks off its tour on July 25 in
Worcester, MA and remains on the road through September. Female-fronted doom
metallers Lacuna Coil will be the main support act for Type O throughout the
tour, while a bunch of early September dates have just been added to the
band's itinerary.

Also, Life Is Killing Me remains lodged in the #1 slot at CMJ Loud Rock, CMJ
Spins, and FMQB's Metal Detector radio charts. The album sunk its fangs into
the #1 slot 4 weeks ago and has not loosened its grip once. Additionally,
the album has been #1 on local New Jersey station WSOU's chart for the past
ten weeks, logging over 40 spins per week and shows little signs of giving
up that lofty position. On the sales front, Life Is Killing Me remains on
the Billboard Top 200.
