The stepdaughter of legend JOHNNY CASH, and daughter of country singer JUNE CARTER CASH has been found dead.
Rosey Nix Adams was found yesterday (October 26). Her body lay alongside Jimmy Campbell, a Nashville fiddle player, in a parked bus in circumstances the Montgomery Country Sheriff's department believe to be "suspicious", according to the BBC.
The news will come as a shock to the Cash family, who have lost both Johnny and June in the past five months.
The pair are believed to have died from carbon monoxide poisoning, though drug-related items were found at the scene.
Kirt Webster, spokesperson for the family, issued the following statement: "The Cash and Carter families are shocked and deeply saddened by the untimely death of Rosey Carter Adams. The family has suffered greatly this year by the successive passing of Rosey's mother, June Carter Cash, and her stepfather, Johnny Cash."
Johnny died on September 12 this year following diabetes complications, aged 71.
As previously reported on NME.COM, a Johnny Cash box set will be released at the end of next month, and features 64 previously unreleased tracks. A tribute gig also takes place next month, on November 10, and features tributes from Bono, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen.
