Flashback Weekend will host a three-night tribute to the Drive-In Theatre July 30-August 1, 2004. Convention activities will be held at the Holiday Inn O’Hare International in Rosemont, IL. The hotel's west parking lot will be transformed into the suburb's newest drive-in!
Nightly Outdoor Drive-In events!
Our nostalgic Drive-In festival will feature an outdoor full-size Drive-In screen with 35mm projection and stereo sound. The event will feature celebrity guests, 35mm screenings of classic short subjects, several full-length features, vintage drive-in intermission trailers, classic Horror coming attractions and many other surprises. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will each feature a different drive-in program.
The weekend will feature the Chicago premiere of the new Dario Argento film "THE CARD PLAYER". Also being screened are "DAY OF THE DEAD" (introduced by director George Romero), "THE HILLS HAVE EYES" (introduced by Dee Wallace Stone), and the infamous, retro-drive-in "classic", "INVASION OF THE BLOOD FARMERS". Our Drive-In event will actually be a “walk-in”. Attendees will be able to enjoy the evening’s motion picture entertainment from the comfort of their own lawn chairs, blankets, or folding chairs.
