AVN introduces an important website for the adult industry, designed to serve as a resource for producers, manufacturers, webmasters and everyone else who has to deal with the Federal record-keeping and labeling regulations, 18 U.S.C. §2257.
It will be of special importance to advertisers who must comply with AVN's new advertising standards.
Documents to be found on this site are the new AVN advertising standard and advertising standards checklists. There is also a letter to producers and manufacturers concerning submissions of images and box covers used for editorial content for AVN and AVN Online explaining the revised standards.
Make sure to read the text of the lawsuit challenging the regulations, Free Speech Coalition et al v. Gonzales, filed in the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
There are headlines above each section and the stories posted will continue to grow and be revised as this complaint for declaratory and injunctive relief will play out in the District Court of Colorado before the date of June 23, 2005, when the new regulations will otherwise become law.
