If Gina Lynn is Eminem personal muse, then call Corina Taylor the inspiration for Monster Magnet's Dave Wyndorf and the rest of the band. The Little Rock native and adult film star makes her debut in the bands latest video Unbroken (Hotel Baby).
The 24 year old Arkansas beauty was tabbed by the band after she was asked by them after seeing her pictures on the internet. After a couple of days of shooting with the band, Corina Taylor found herself enjoying the switch to music videos from adult videos.
"It was a blast to work with them. They were very professional to me throughout the shoot. It was hard work, we showed up on time, had to shoot for a couple of days, have everything choreographed so that it would look good for the video."
Currently the band is in the process of devastating the European continent with a slew of festival appearances and sold-out solo dates. Meanwhile, back in America, the new single "Unbroken (Hotel Baby)" continues to receive massive support at active rock, mainstream rock and college stations.
Meanwhile Corina Taylor is in the process of negotiating through agents wanting to represent her in the adult industry and even in music industry. The young Arkansas native is planning to go back to the Howard Stern show later in August and then a one hour special on Body Shots and Money Shots (CyberStationUSA.com)
"I am going to get my name out to the rest of the world and I got a big surprise planned for the fans on the Howard Stern show. You better catch it."

When Jack Black was cast in Peter Jackson's "King Kong" remake, people wondered why he was chosen. Today he finally spilled the beans to MTV about the role:
First, don't expect his usual comic antics - "There are some funny things about my character but, yeah, it is a different thing for me. But I'm not approaching it differently. I'm approaching it with the same balls-to-the-wall attitude".
Black also says the film should be much darker than the last one - "I just read the script for the first time. It's so rad. And it's top secret. I can't tell you much, but I can tell you this. King Kong is going to be scary as hell, dude. He's not gonna be sweet and cuddly. It's not gonna be the cute kind [of movie]. He's a f---ing carnivore, as in, eats flesh!"
The movie will be shot in New Zealand with Jackson's team re-creating parts of 1930s New York. Black will be joined in the movie by Naomi Watts ("The Ring") and Andy Serkis, who will provide motion-capture work for the computer-generated Kong, a role similar to what he did for Jackson when he played Gollum in "The Lord of the Rings." Serkis will also play a smaller part in the movie, sans effects
"King Kong" is scheduled to begin filming in August, with a December 2005 release date.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - That brief glimpse of Janet Jackson's breast during the Super Bowl could cost 20 television stations owned by Viacom Inc. a total of $550,000, sources familiar with the federal regulatory case said on Wednesday.
During the National Football League's Super Bowl halftime show in February, Jackson's costume was ripped away by fellow singer Justin Timberlake, briefly exposing her breast and sparking a public outcry.
The move accompanied the performance of a song that concludes with the lyrics: "I gotta have you naked by the end of this song."
Flooded with complaints, the Federal Communications Commission staff have proposed commissioners fine Viacom Inc.'s 20 CBS television stations $27,500 each for a total of $550,000, said a source familiar with the case.
The staff did not recommend fining the scores of other CBS affiliate stations that aired the show but are not owned by Viacom, the sources said. Spokesmen for CBS and the FCC declined to comment.
The recommendation is circulating among the five FCC commissioners, who could take weeks to reach a decision.
The Super Bowl garnered almost 90 million viewers, the most since 1998, and Viacom raked in an average of $2.3 million per 30-second commercial. The media conglomerate posted a $711 million profit in the first quarter.
The halftime show was produced by another arm of Viacom, its MTV music television network. Network and NFL officials were hauled before Congress to answer for the flash, which lasted about half a second.
Viacom apologized but said it did not know about the skit. It pledged to use a mechanism that causes a brief delay in the broadcast of live events.
Federal rules bar radio and television broadcasters from airing obscene material. They are also limited to broadcasting indecent content to late night hours when children are less likely to be listening.
The FCC has been cracking down on indecent acts, proposing maximum fines in many cases, and Congress is poised to raise fines to as much as $500,000 per violation.
This month, Clear Channel Communications Inc. , the largest owner of U.S. radio stations, agreed to pay $1.75 million to settle all complaints against its stations. It recently dropped shock jock Howard Stern, who is known for his sexual antics on the radio.

UGLY WOMEN GO HOME ALONE
A vending machine selling porn films for £6 could soon be seen in gents' toilets across the Midlands.
The device has already been on trial for a month in three of the region’s pubs and has proved so popular that the porn film company behind the venture is considering supplying the vending machines nationally.
The machine contains films called Weapons of Mass Satisfaction, Naughty Nurses and Lessons in Love.
The DVDs are sold in a plain red case without pictures on the outside.
Cheltenham’s Midland Hotel is one of the pubs involved in the trial - and it has proved so popular with regulars that manager Russell Coglan has decided to keep it.
The 25 year-old from Gloucester said: “People are often embarrassed about buying porn in shops. This machine sells soft porn from the comfort of a pub toilet so our customers feel less inhibited.
“There is nothing wrong with it because we are not a family pub - we only allow over-18s in. I think it is a good idea which will catch on.”
The two other pubs involved in the trial are in Gloucester.
The move to sell blue movies from pub toilets has sparked the wrath of morality campaigners who say the machine allows children to access porn more easily.
Miranda Suit, from watchdog Mediamarch, said: “This is extremely worrying. There is no way with the best will in the world that pubs will be able to stop under-18s from buying the DVDs.
“The fact that such films are getting to be in easy circulation is a problem.”
But Jasper Duncombe, managing director of Tongue in Cheek - the firm behind the vending machine, said: “There are many venues who want to try and see whether the machine is successful. They should have the freedom to do that.
“What right do these campaigners have to say that people shouldn’t watch these DVDs?”
Cheney Losing It? Sen. Jack Ryan In Sex Club Scandal

In the age where Broadcasters are being fined for indecent language by the right wing, the conservative hypo-Christians sure have gone out of their way to use offensive language and lead immoral lives. Our example are the recent actions by VP John Cheney and U.S. Senate in Illinois, Jack Ryan. But as you'll read below, they are above the standards that people such as Bill Clinton and Howard Stern are required to live by.
I particularly enjoyed the loophole that Cheney got through as you'll red at the end of these two lengthy articles. Rule 19 of the Senate rules -- which prohibits vulgar statements "unbecoming a senator" -- does not apply, according to a Senate official. Even if the Senate were in session, the vice president, though constitutionally the president of the Senate, is an executive branch official and therefore free to use whatever language he likes.
The bottom line is we're all human, and this finger pointing and hypocricy need to end. - AZ
PART 1
Cheney Losing It?
Tells Senator To Go Fuck Himself
--The Washington Post
Washington D.C.- A brief argument between Vice President Cheney and a senior Democratic senator led Cheney to utter a big-time obscenity on the Senate floor this week.
On Tuesday, Cheney, serving in his role as president of the Senate, appeared in the chamber for a photo session. A chance meeting with Sen. Patrick J. Leahy (Vt.), the ranking Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, became an argument about Cheney's ties to Halliburton Co., an international energy services corporation, and President Bush's judicial nominees. The exchange ended when Cheney offered some crass advice.
"Fuck yourself," said the man who is a heartbeat from the presidency.
Leahy's spokesman, David Carle, yesterday confirmed the brief but fierce exchange. "The vice president seemed to be taking personally the criticism that Senator Leahy and others have leveled against Halliburton's sole-source contracts in Iraq," Carle said.
As it happens, the exchange occurred on the same day the Senate passed legislation described as the "Defense of Decency Act" by 99 to 1.
Cheney's office did not deny that the phrase was uttered. His spokesman, Kevin S. Kellems, would say only that this language is not typical of the vice presidential vocabulary. "Reserving the right to revise and extend my remarks, that doesn't sound like language the vice president would use," Kellems said, "but there was a frank exchange of views."
Gleeful Democrats pointed out that the White House has not always been so forgiving of obscenity. In December, Democratic presidential candidate John F. Kerry was quoted using the same word in describing Bush's Iraq policy as botched. The president's chief of staff reacted with indignation.
"That's beneath John Kerry," Chief of Staff Andrew H. Card Jr. said. "I'm very disappointed that he would use that kind of language. I'm hoping that he's apologizing at least to himself, because that's not the John Kerry that I know."
This was not the first foray into French by Cheney and his boss. During the 2000 campaign, Bush pointed out a New York Times reporter to Cheney and said, without knowing the microphone was picking it up, "major-league [expletive]." Cheney's response -- "Big Time" -- has become his official presidential nickname.
Then there was that famous Talk magazine interview of Bush by Tucker Carlson in 1999, in which the future president repeatedly used the F-word.
Tuesday's exchange began when Leahy crossed the aisle at the photo session and joked to Cheney about being on the Republican side, according to Carle. Then Cheney, according to Carle, "lashed into" Leahy for remarks he made Monday criticizing Iraq contracts won without competitive bidding by Halliburton, Cheney's former employer.
Leahy, Carle said, retorted that Democrats "have not appreciated White House collusion in smears" that Democrats were anti-Catholic for blocking judicial nominees such as William H. Pryor Jr. Democrats demanded that Bush disavow the allegations by conservative groups, but the White House did not.
The Democratic National Committee has declared this to be "Halliburton Week" to portray administration ties to the controversial company. "Sounds like it's making somebody a little testy," Kerry spokesman Chad Clanton said.
Republicans did their best to defend the vice president. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah), while pointing out that he was unaware of the incident, described Cheney as "very honest" and said: "I don't blame anyone for standing up for his integrity."
There is no rule against obscene language by a vice president on the Senate floor. The senators were present for a group picture and not in session, so Rule 19 of the Senate rules -- which prohibits vulgar statements "unbecoming a senator" -- does not apply, according to a Senate official. Even if the Senate were in session, the vice president, though constitutionally the president of the Senate, is an executive branch official and therefore free to use whatever language he likes.
Part 2
The Ryan Apologists
GOP goes out of way to defend its own
from adultfyi.com by William Saletan
Six years ago, Republicans demanded that Bill Clinton be investigated and impeached for having sex with an intern and covering it up. Now their nominee for the U.S. Senate in Illinois, Jack Ryan, is brushing off his then-wife's allegations that he repeatedly pressured her, despite her protestations, to have sex with him in front of other people. Instead of denouncing Ryan, many Republicans are defending him.
Here's what Ryan's ex-wife, Jeri, claimed in a divorce filing four years ago:
On three trips, one to New Orleans, one to New York, and one to Paris, Respondent [Jack Ryan] insisted that I go to sex clubs with him. They were long weekends, supposed "romantic" getaways. ... The clubs in New York and Paris were explicit sex clubs. Respondent had done research. Respondent took me to two clubs in New York during the day. One club I refused to go in. It had mattresses in cubicles. The other club he insisted I go to. ... It was a bizarre club with cages, whips and other apparatus hanging from the ceiling. Respondent wanted me to have sex with him there, with another couple watching. I refused.
Respondent asked me to perform a sexual activity upon him, and he specifically asked other people to watch. I was very upset. We left the club, and Respondent apologized, said that I was right and that he would never insist I go to a club again. He promised it was out of his system. Then during a trip to Paris, he took me to a sex club in Paris, without telling me where we were going. I told him I thought it was out of his system. I told him he had promised me we would never go. People were having sex everywhere. I cried, I was physically ill. Respondent became very upset with me, and said it was not a "turn on" for me to cry.
How did Jack Ryan respond to this testimony? Here's what he said in his own filing:
I should not have to respond to the ridiculous allegations Jeri Lynn makes in these two paragraphs. I was faithful and loyal to my wife throughout our marriage. I did arrange romantic getaways for us, but that did not include the type of activities she describes. We did go to one avant garde nightclub in Paris which was more than either one of us felt comfortable with. We left and vowed never to return. I feel very badly for Alex [Ryan's son] that his mother would mischaracterize our activities and try to libel me and our relationship in this manner. Jeri Lynn knows I have political aspirations, because I had them throughout our marriage. She attended many political functions with me and testified about them at her deposition. In addition, Jeri Lynn is a celebrity and it is extremely likely that the press will go to our public divorce file. Apparently, Jeri Lynn did not consider how Alex will feel about his parents or himself when he learns of this type of smut.
When a judge unsealed the testimony this week, Jack Ryan reached for every spin in the Clinton playbook—and then some.
1. I kept it secret to protect my family. At a press conference Monday, Jack Ryan said he had fought to keep the divorce records sealed in order to "keep information about [my] child … private." He ducked most questions, claiming, "It's not helpful to our son." According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Ryan mentioned that his son had "special needs." Ryan didn't mention the "political aspirations" he had raised in his 2000 filing when he complained about Jeri Ryan making their marital troubles public. And according to the Chicago Tribune, "in September 2000, Anne Kiley, an attorney for Jeri Ryan, said in a court filing that one of Jack Ryan's attorneys had told her a few months earlier that Jack Ryan wanted parts of the file blacked out, removed, or sealed because he was 'concerned [it] would negatively impact his political aspirations.' "
2. It wasn't illegal. In a radio interview, Ryan said, "I think my character has been proven by this. There's no breaking of any laws. There's no breaking of any marriage laws. There's no breaking of the Ten Commandments anywhere." CNN showed Ryan saying, "No one has ever said that I haven't abided by every single law or abided by my marriage vows."
3. It's irrelevant to public office. Refusing to discuss the truth or falsehood of Jeri Ryan's account, Jack Ryan told reporters Monday, "There's nothing there that impacts my ability to be a U.S. senator." CNN showed him saying, "We're in a campaign that talks about the issue that should address our country: the defense of our country or our workers or the pro-family issues or the issues in parts of the state, in the suburbs. And so, think of just—what just happened. We had someone spending a lot of money to break into a file that a mom and dad wanted to have sealed to protect their son, and now we're asking what happened between a husband and a wife in the most intimate part of their relationship."
4. It's a left-wing conspiracy. According to the Tribune, Ryan's talking points "railed against a 'despicable' decision by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Robert A. Schnider to unseal portions of the divorce file" and falsely alleged, "This judge was appointed by Jerry Brown, the most liberal governor of California in history."
5. The woman's discomfort is no big deal. "She says three times over eight years [of marriage], we went to places that she felt uncomfortable," Jack Ryan said Tuesday. "That's the worst of it. I think almost any spouse would take that as, 'Gosh, if that's the worst someone can say about me after seeing me live my life for eight years ... ' then people say, 'Gosh, the guy's lived a pretty clean life.' " In another interview, Ryan said, "What's in those documents at its worst is that I propositioned my wife in an inappropriate place."
What are Republicans saying about Ryan's spin? They're parroting it and hoping the revelations will blow over. Sen. George Allen, R-Va., chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, told reporters: "We fully support Jack Ryan. Jack Ryan has the ability to forcefully articulate issues and ideas that matter, such as national security and better job opportunities for people as well as education for our children. His ex-wife Jeri has said he's a good man and a loving father."
Phyllis Schlafly, one of the chief agitators for Clinton's impeachment, told the Sun-Times she still supports Ryan because the charges are unproven and were made during a custody fight. "Sure they're disturbing. They're unpleasant," said Schlafly. "But considering where they're coming from, I would wait for the proof before judging him."
Robert Novak, the conservative commentator, said on Crossfire, "The judge allowed joint custody of their now nine-year-old son to the two parents. Number two, it was Mrs. Ryan, not Jack Ryan, who was guilty of adultery. … Jack Ryan, unlike Bill Clinton, did not commit adultery and did not lie."
House Speaker Dennis Hastert "still has a Thursday fund-raising event for Ryan on his calendar," according to Wednesday's Sun-Times. Hastert's spokesman told reporters Hastert had no comment.
Sen. Peter Fitzgerald, R-Ill., who voted to find Clinton guilty on both articles of impeachment five years ago, said, "Divorce cases and child custody cases are by nature acrimonious, and allegations on all sides are often unreliable or sensationalized. The Jack Ryan that I know very well is a good and decent man. … I support him and continue to support him with enthusiasm and confidence."
Bill O'Reilly, the Fox News host, fretted about the politics of personal destruction. After O'Reilly's legal analyst pointed out that Ryan hadn't denied the story and "in a Clintonesque way, splits hairs" about it, O'Reilly complained, "Just think about it, any politician or somebody thinking about running for office, if they have an ex-wife who is mad at them or an ex-girlfriend, they are dead, they are toast, because you can make any accusation in the world. … It discourages everybody from getting into the arena."
Now we know why Bill Clinton got impeached. He was in the wrong club
from adultfyi.com by Gene Ross
Porn Valley- Confusion or clarification? Greg Robinson and Mike Warner from USA BioMed were on The Wanker Show, www.ksexradio.com this week. According to Robinson & Warner, what they have is a self-adminstered test for HIV Zero, 1 & 2.
"It's the same test that they use in laboratories in hospitals throughout the world, they said. "You get your results in about three minutes. It also detects it in dormancy." They stressed that it was for HIV-only and had no applicability to STDs.
"On the set obviously they have to have a PCR-DNA test because they have paperwork. "We don't want to replace that; we're trying to assist that," Robinson said. "The best thing to us is the frequency and how often you do it. Obviously the sooner you can catch someone who's positive, the better off you are. Fewer people are going to get infected. The economical value of this, the PCR-DNA test runs $100 to $110?. They do it every 30 days. In that time, obviously, you can come up with HIV positive prior to taking it the next time."
"When you go out and meet someone and you decide that you want to be together, you can grab a kit- it fits right in your shirt pocket and you go take the test with her and three minutes later you got your results," Warner said. The comment however seemed at odds with a statement Robinson made just before that claiming that the test detects within three to four weeks.
Wankus said he's definitely concerned about HIV but is concerned as well about the "little diseases." Wankus asked is there a reason why the test doesn't pick up the STDs. Robinson said it wasn't designed for those. "The thing is you can get rid of those. Those are curable. This isn't." Robinson, also making the bar analogy, said the test was so convenient that you could take the test then and there. "But we're not saying don't use a condom, either."
Again, Robinson said the results were three minutes. Wankus said he'd take the test on the spot but joked that he wasn't going to take anything in his ass. Robinson claims that the test is 99.8% accurate on specificity and 100% accurate on sensitivity. "What that means," said Robinson, "is the specificity refers to being positive; the sensitivity is being negative. If you come up with a negative result, that's 100% accurate. They ran this test against Western Blot, ELISA and some other tests. They ran some 6,000 tests and came up with three false positives."
According to Robinson, included in the kit is a cassette, an alcohol swab to clean the spot which you'll use for a lancet. "The lancet is automatic; you depress it. It's used one time. The needle retracts. It can't be used again so there's no chance of infecting anything else," Robinson explained, noting that the cassette gives you the results. "The little sample well's where you put a drop of blood [via a finger prick] and three drops of a solution that's included." Wankus obliged with self- demonstration. Wankus' immediate results were that he was negative but Warner joked about him being pregnant. As if it needed to be stressed, Warner said they'd like people to take the test before they have sex, not afterwards.
Wankus said it would also be nice if they could come up with some testing device for all the other STDs. According to Robinson, Annie Body, for instance, said she wouldn't use the test because of a puncture to the skin. Wankus said he didn't get the reasoning because needles are used in the process. Warner noted you could do it virtually on any part of your body where you can draw blood. "It doesn't have to be part that you use during sex."
With possible reference to Tony Sexton, Wankus joked about some "asshole" male talent could sample from their bloody noses.
Warner said the test sells for $19.95 on the Internet. It's good for one time. Robinson pointed out that there has been one HIV test kit so far that's been FDA-approved for home use. "What's crazy to me, is, you take a sample of the blood put it in the mail and mail it to them and you get your results back in the mail; or you can call them. Three days is the fastest they can get your results. But they're going to charge you $50 to $60. To me how they figure that's safe with any number of people coming in contact with that. We've checked with labs and the HIV virus in best conditions can possible stay active for about a week. The way we lokk at this, even if you threw the thing away in the trash, you would have to pick the thing up, stick it in your mouth, chew on it and have a bleeding gum or something in order for you to get the remotest possibility of getting a virus."
Warner said he'd like to see their test used in conjunction with current HIV testing in the industry. "You can't replace the piece of paper results from the PCR-DNA test," Robinson conceded. "We don't want to do that." But Warner also pointed out that blood sent to a lab runs the possibility of risks. "You have a lab tech sitting with 40, 50, 100 blood samples he's running tests on. Who's to say he doesn't screw up and put the wrong results."
Wankus noted that he heard "there's between 5 to 15 fuck ups a month like that in the adult industry." Robinson knew of an instance where a woman, 70, went to have a blood test done and came back positive. "She flipped out; she hadn't had sex in over 20 years."
Warner, citing statistics, said that about 50% of people who get tested at hospitals and clinics do not go back for their results. "The reason being they're nervous or scared to find out."
Warner said, what a lot of people don't know, is, that when you go to a lab or doctor and test positive, you're put on a national registry. "A data base that anyone can access. You're screwed for insurance."
Warner said you can go to www.usabiomed.com for more information and to purchase the test.

Brooklyn based trio, ZO2, has secured the prestigious opening slot for this summer’s KISS/Poison tour. More on ZO2
It has been said that good chemistry is the key to success in any working relationship. One has to wonder what would happen if you combined the talents of two brothers with a third, like-minded soul whose family bond has been forged by a shared vision. The answer is simple. A new formula is created. A formula for rock + roll...ZO2!
After many changes, brothers Paulie Z and David Z finally found the correct blend of sound and talent. These two brothers from Brooklyn connected with Joey Cassata to form the hard hitting, forceful, vigorous and ever so tasty sound of ZO2. Though a young band, they aren't new comers to the concert and recording scene having worked with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Blue Man Group as well as members from Megadeth and Testament.

ZO2 is a power trio in which all three members shine as instrumentalists as well as vocalists. Each member is a capable lead vocalist who takes turns with the melody and layers harmonies with a unique and special resonance that only a family can provide. This fraternal feeling is strong and inclusive and when you see them live you at once feel at home with this remarkable band. ZO2 combines showmanship and talent with an electrifying stage show that is full of the funk and swagger of the 70's with the sensibilities of modern rock. ZO2 has just released their debut album "Tuesdays & Thursdays" and are prepared to explode onto any stage and share their unique formula with any and all audiences. When all their talents and experiences are combined, the result is pure magic.

The retired Hollywood lawyer who played golf with Max Fink -- the attorney who defended Jim Morrison on the 1969 Miami obscenity and indecent-exposure charges -- said in 2002 that he believed Fink might have received a warning concerning Morrison about a month before Jim left for Paris, which would have been in early February 1971. According to this attorney, who spoke on condition of anonymity, Fink was given a tip by an associate of Mickey Rudin, the prominent Beverly Hills attorney whose clients included Frank Sinatra and who had ties to the Nixon administration. This retired lawyer was given to understand that Fink was quietly told that his famous client would be neutralized in prison -- murdered or incapacitated -- and should get out of the country before his legal appeals were exhausted and his passport confiscated. France, which has no extradition treaty with the United States for so-called sex crimes, was suggested as a logical place for Jim to take refuge. No direct or documentary evidence for this warning exists, only the unverifiable word of a respected former associate of both Rudin and Fink. Whatever the accuracy of this account, within one month Jim Morrison was in Paris, living incognito as a lodger in an apartment house, under the assumed names of James Douglas and/or Douglas James.

MINISTRY frontman Al Jourgensen has told Release magazine that he has his life exactly planned out now that he's quit using heroin. "I was a heroin addict for 20 years and was asleep for like nine," he said. "Now I know exactly what I want to do: Two more MINISTRY albums, one more LARD album and one more REVOLTING COCKS album. Then I'm going to pick up my career as a teacher again. I have a master's degree in history, so I am going to teach at a university, maybe the University of Texas as a professor."
MINISTRY's new album, "Houses of the Mole", was released last Tuesay week through Sanctuary Records. Jourgensen worked on "Houses" with guitarist Mike Scaccia (RIGOR MORTIS), guitarist Brian Kehoe (M.I.R.V., JERRY CANTRELL, THE LES CLAYPOOL FROG BRIGADE), bassist John Monte (replacing longtime member Paul Barker, who quit in January), keyboardist Darryl James and ex-FEAR drummer Mark Baker. The musicians are currently in the studio — with ex-SKATENIGS singer Phil Owen and Frankie Nardiello from MY LIFE WITH THE THRILL KILL KULT — working on a new album by REVOLTING COCKS, tentatively August year.

"What really lifts him (Ron Marks) above any other contender is his extraordinary guitar playing, executed with the feel of someone who has a god-given talent for the instrument...His musical horizons extend and eclipse Martins and my own technical capabilities." - Tom Gabriel Fischer founder of Celtic Frost and author of the Frost biography "Are you Morbid?"
The legacy of Frost continues with the artists guitar heavy solo project: Subsonic. Celtic Frost have been hailed as a big influence by Kurt Cobain and has helped spawn the styles of Nirvana, Metallica and Marilyn Manson. Subsonic brings Ron Mark's sound into the new era.
Marks, former guitarist for Celtic Frost follows up his debut "Super Vel" which was released on Canada's Outlaw Entertainment in 2002, with brand new, hard hitting material titled "No Such Soul", and a lead single that is perfect for the state of the world today with "Dream American". The album will be available worldwide at such stores as Best Buy, Tower, Borders and many regional and independent retail chains.

Anand Bhatt President of Sonic Wave International says, "I'm really excited to release the new Subsonic project! Celtic Frost and Ron Marks fans will be VERY pleased. We have always been a strong
independent force in heavy music, and its an honor that Ron chose us to put out the new release."
Ron is a resident of Hermitage PA and has performed in several music related projects as well as recording as Subsonic for the last 5 years. In his youth he and friend Dan Laudo (drummer for Prong) played in a band with none other than Trent Reznor. He has been called "an unusual and almost heavier version of Frank Zappa."

WASHINGTON - A conservative group asked federal election officials on Thursday to investigate whether television ads for director Michael Moore (news)'s anti-Bush documentary "Fahrenheit 9/11" violate campaign finance law regulating when commercials may feature a presidential candidate.
The Federal Election Commission might take months to issue a ruling on the complaint, making it unlikely the commission would act in time to affect the film's ad campaign. The two-hour documentary, which depicts President Bush (news - web sites) as lazy and oblivious to warnings in summer 2001 that al-Qaida was poised to strike, opens nationwide on Friday.
The group Citizens United contended that commercials for "Fahrenheit 9/11" fall under federal campaign finance law. Regulations prohibit the use of corporate money to air ads identifying a presidential candidate in the 30 days before his party's nominating convention and the 60 days before the Nov. 2 election.
Bush will be nominated by the GOP during its New York convention Aug. 30-Sept. 2. Citizens United argued that "Fahrenheit 9/11" ads that identify Bush and are paid for with corporate money should be banned after July 31.
Moore called the complaint "a blatant attempt on the part of a right-wing, Republican-sponsored group to stop people from seeing my movie." He said he would fight the complaint, and members of the Congressional Black Caucus appearing with him at a news conference near the Capitol promised to help.
"It's a violation of my First Amendment rights that I cannot advertise my movie. It's a movie," Moore said. "I have not publicly endorsed John Kerry. I am an independent, I am not a member of the Democratic Party."
An exemption to the law frees a wide array of media organizations from the ban on the use of corporate money for ads identifying federal candidates close to elections. Moore, an Oscar-winning documentary filmmaker, and the film might be covered by the media exemption.
Citizens United contends that "Fahrenheit 9/11" is propaganda and doesn't qualify for the media exemption. It is among conservative groups that have tried to mobilize the public against the film, arguing that Moore's portrayal of the Bush administration is inaccurate.
The group's complaint names Moore; companies involved in the film's marketing and distribution, including Lions Gate Entertainment Corp., Cablevision Systems Corp., Viacom International; and brothers Harvey and Bob Weinstein, executives at the film company Miramax who formed a separate company to find a way to distribute Moore's film.
The complaint also contends that because Lions Gate is foreign-owned, the ads are subject to a ban on the use of foreign money for ads identifying presidential candidates close to elections.
"Fahrenheit 9/11" won the top honor at last month's Cannes Film Festival. Moore and his distributors lost their appeal Tuesday to lower its rating from R to PG-13.
The FEC issued a decision Thursday on ads involving another film, but commissioners said it doesn't address Moore or ads promoting "Fahrenheit 9/11." In that ruling, the FEC told an Arizona man he couldn't use corporate money to run ads promoting his documentary film and identifying Bush and congressional candidates close to the election.
David Hardy, president of the Bill of Rights Educational Foundation in Tucson, Ariz., had asked the commission for its advice on whether he could use foundation money for the ads. Hardy didn't ask the commission whether his ads would qualify for the media exemption.

ENCINO, CALIFORNIA (June 23, 2004) … Filmmaker Kevin Smith will be presented with the first-ever DVD Visionary Award during the Opening Session at the Video Software Dealers Association's (VSDA) Home Entertainment 2004, organizers of the show announced today. The Opening Session will take place at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, July 14 at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
"Kevin Smith is the ideal first recipient of this award because he understands what it is like to be a film lover," said VSDA President Bo Andersen. "In addition to creating works that reflect his deeper understanding of the complexities of work, relationships, religion, and family, Smith exhibits his commitment to his fans by creating some of the best supplemental materials available on DVD. His commentary and extra footage is full of humorous anecdotes and allows the viewer to have a closer look at the filmmaking process."
Kevin Smith's entrance to the independent film community began with his 1994 release of Clerks. Financed by the sale of his personal comic book collection and loans from friends and family, Clerks was met with critical acclaim and awarded the Filmmaker's Trophy at Sundance, the Prix de la Jeunesse and the International Critic's Week Award at Cannes. The ten-year anniversary version of the film, Clerks X, will be an exclusive Miramax Collectors Series 3-disc DVD set that will include the original theatrical version, an extended Sundance cut, and a new documentary. Clerks X will be released in stores on September 7, 2004.
Smith's second film, Mallrats, was panned by critics and did not fare well in theaters but went on to be extremely successful on home video. Critics and audiences warmly received his third project, Chasing Amy. Dogma, a faith-based comedy, generated a great deal of controversy due to its pragmatic approach to religion, but thrived despite pressure from religious groups. With the aptly titled Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back, Smith wrapped up his five-film "Jersey Trilogy" and headed for more grown-up territory with the March 2004 release of Jersey Girl. The Miramax film stars longtime Smith collaborators Ben Affleck and George Carlin, as well as Jennifer Lopez and Liv Tyler. Jersey Girl will be available on home video September 14, 2004.
Smith has even made a name for himself in cyberspace, establishing two widely popular websites, www.viewaskew.com and www.moviepoopshoot.com. Both are common bookmarks among film lovers. Although Smith relinquished his prized comic book collection to get his start in filmmaking, Smith's successes have allowed him to open his own comic book store, Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash, in downtown Red Bank, New Jersey. Graphic novels are not only sources of inspiration but also viable projects as he has written for the seminal superheroes Spider-Man, Green Arrow, and Black Cat. Smith is currently working on the big screen adaptation of the comic book and television superhero The Green Hornet.

Reports have been coming in from Chicago, Boston and New York that this double bill will blow your mind. The pairing of these two bands came to be when Skinny Puppy handpicked Tweaker for its first tour in almost a decade. The expansive, industrial band has always been revered by fans of the genre and beyond around the world. Tweaker is the alter-ego project of Chris Vrenna, a Grammy award-winning artist and founding member of Nine Inch Nails who is now a record producer/remixer/collaborator for artists including U2, Weezer, David Bowie, Smashing Pumpkins and Marilyn Manson.
The tour is a dream-come-true for serious industrial fans most of whom also adored early Nine Inch Nails (circa 1989) when Vrenna was instrumental in the band. Both bands have incredibly adventurous, hard spirited new albums out at the moment and are reported to be playing loud and large to audiences across America. Skinny Puppy's album The Greatest Wrong of the Right has been met with critical praise this summer, as has Tweaker's gentler, yet poignant and still hard, 2 a.m. Wakeup Call.
In an exclusive chat, Vrenna told Virginmega.com just before leaving on tour, "We're totally psyched to go with Skinny Puppy for our first Tweaker tour. We've experimented with lots of different ways to bring the albums to life on the road and we decided to present it just as a band. Clint (Walsh, Tweaker guitarist) and I were lucky enough to get one of the new album's guest vocalists, Nick Young from A.I. (who's on the song ‘Sleepwalking Away') to do the whole tour with us and sing every song.” Rounding out the band is William Faith on bass from the band Faith and the Muse.
If you're lucky enough to live in the middle of the country and the West Coast, you might still be able to catch this killer double bill. See the below dates. As fate would have it, the first NIN tour was opening for Skinny Puppy on their Vivisect Six tour. Adds Vrenna, “Seeing that this will be Tweaker's first tour as well, it's a huge honor that Skinny Puppy has asked us to be its opener. And since many fans will be wondering, there's no tape or sequencers with this show!"
Remaining dates are as follows:
Jun 23, Philadelphia, PA, Electric Factory
Jun 25, Atlanta, GA, Masquerade
Jun 26, New Orleans, LA, House of Blues
Jun 27, Houston, TX, Verizon Theatre
Jun 29, Denver, CO, Odgen Theatre
Jul 1, San Francisco, CA, Grand Ballroom
Jul 2 & 3, Los Angeles, CA, Henry Fonda Theatre
Jul 4, Anaheim, Calif, The Grove

WASHINGTON - Faced with public ire over racy language, explicit scenes and skin-baring outfits, the Senate overwhelmingly agreed on Tuesday to fine radio and television broadcasters and personalities as much as $3 million a day for airing indecent entertainment.
After the uproar stoked by Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake's "wardrobe malfunction" at this year's Super Bowl, the Senate rushed the bill through on a 99-1 vote without floor debate.
GOP Sen. Sam Brownback of Kansas said the issue had been debated enough. Lawmakers have continually criticized broadcasters for airing what they say is increasingly coarse programming that can be seen or heard by children.
"People are tired of this indecent material on over-the-air public broadcast, particularly during prime time when people's families are watching," said Brownback, the bill's sponsor. "We're going to have to take action because the broadcasters won't police themselves."
Under the measure, the maximum fine for both broadcasters and entertainers would increase to up to $275,000 per indecent incident, up from $27,500 for license holders and $11,000 for personalities. The fines would keep increasing for each incident until a maximum fine of $3 million a day is reached.
The House passed a similar bill that would set fines at $500,000. Differences between the two bills must be worked out.
The Senate moved the measure without debate as part of the massive defense bill expected to be approved later this week. The only senator to vote against the measure was Sen. John Breaux, D-La.
Breaux said he opposed the bill partly because "it deals with communications and media issues and should not have been attached to a national security and defense bill."
Federal law and FCC rules prohibit over-the-air radio and television stations from airing offensive material that refers to sexual and excretory functions between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m., hours when children are more likely to be tuned in. No such restrictions exist for cable and satellite TV or satellite radio.
The FCC currently has no power to regulate those channels, which are available through subscription to the 85 percent of the 108.4 million U.S. households with televisions.
Introduced in January, after FCC Chairman Michael Powell demanded higher fines, the bill wound up on a fast track to passage after the Feb. 1 Super Bowl halftime show that ended with Timberlake partially exposing Jackson's breast for an instant to 90 million viewers.
The incident generated more than 500,000 complaints to the FCC.
If the legislation isn't approved as part of the bill to authorize spending for the Defense Department, Brownback said he would try to find another way to get it through the Senate. "This is something the public wants," he said.
The Senate also approved a provision that would delay for one year the FCC's media ownership rules that allow, among other things, companies to own both newspapers and broadcasting stations in the same market.
Breaux said that measure also made him oppose the bill. "It repeals the FCC's media ownership rules using what I have argued is a flawed and inaccurate measurement of network television viewers," he said.
But a consumer group cheered the move to delay the rules.
"Once again the Senate has demonstrated its objection to weakening rules that keep massive media conglomerates from swallowing up local media outlets and ignoring community values," said Gene Kimmelman, senior public policy director of Consumers Union, publisher of Consumer Reports.
Brownback said he wasn't sure that those provisions would make it into the final legislation that emerges from the Senate-House conference committee.

LOS ANGELES - When famed motorcycle builder Jesse James and Vivid Girl Janine, arguably the most beautiful woman to have ever worked in adult video, broke up after a whirlwind courtship and marriage, both parties decided to express their feelings in their own way: Jesse James chose to document the relationship on the Discovery Channel, and Janine re-signed with Vivid Video, agreeing to do boy/girl scenes for the first time.
Motorcycle Mania Number 3, a two-hour special that debuted last Sunday on the Discovery Channel shows James version of events. The show will air four more times this week.
While officially the show is about James and Kid Rock heading across America on their motorcycles, James relationship with Janine takes center stage.
The special opens with James and Janine in a pick-up truck in New England. James professes his undying love Janine, and that she is the woman that he intends to spend the rest of his life with. Then James says in a voice over, “It didn’t work out that way.”
The courtship, the wedding including celebrity guests Kid Rock and Tera Patrick, and Janine’s arrest for spousal abuse for throwing a vase are all captured, including their eventual breakup, or as James says, when he gives her a “pink slip.”
The show ends with James having a tattoo of Janine’s name removed from his hand.
After the breakup, Janine returned to Vivid and agreed to perform in her first ever boy/girl scenes. No doubt her scenes will offer insight to her side of the story.
Her first video, in which Janine performed in a boy/girl scene with Nick Manning, will be released on September 15. Originally titled Janine Rising, the video has be renamed Maneater.
We just finished moving to the new server, so please be patient as we're working out the kinks.

LOS ANGELES — Rob Zombie is midway through shooting his "House of a 1000 Corpses" sequel, "The Devil's Rejects," and he's still adding to his motley crew of actors.
Ginger Lynn, a legend in adult films, is the latest to join a cast featuring Natasha Lyonne ("American Pie"), Danny Trejo ("Spy Kids"), Tyler Mane ("Troy") and William Forsythe ("The Rock"), among others.
"It's funny because our budget is moderate to say the least, but our casting has gotten out of control," Zombie said. "It's great. We have a fortune in casting ... and a lot of people that we pulled from the past."
By the past, Zombie means icons from classic horror films, such as P.J. Soles ("Halloween," "Carrie"), Ken Foree ("Dawn of the Dead), Steve Railsback ("Helter Skelter") and Mary Woronov ("Death Race 2000").
The cast should be seen as a sign of where Zombie is heading with the sequel. "Everything from the script to the way it's cast, it's very different than the first film," Zombie said. "It's much more real, much more gritty. The first film was very ... I mean it's bloody and it's nasty, but there's sort of a surreal element to the first one. I hate the word 'campy,' because that's not what is, but there's almost like a bloody 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' [quality] to the first one, and this one is a very bleak, stark, very real film.
"The thing I hate about sequels is they just sort of do the same thing again and that's always a drag," he continued. "So this one is very different. It's the same characters continuing on in the story, but with a very different feel."
"The Devil's Rejects," a title taken from the media's nickname for the Firefly family that dwells in the "House of 1000 Corpses," picks up seven months later with the focus on Sheriff John Wydell (Forsythe), whose brother, Lieutenant George Wydell, was killed by the Fireflys.
"He's avenging his death, so it's sort of like the tables are turned in this one," Zombie explained. "All the bad people are more on the defensive. That was always the trick in this one because all my leads are evil so somehow now you have to feel sympathy for all the horrible, disgusting characters.
"There won't be a dry eye in the house, trust me," he joked.
That's not to say Mother, Baby and the others have been toned down. In fact, quite the opposite is true.
"If you look at any series of horror-movie sequels, say 'A Nightmare on Elm Street,' Freddy Krueger is this terrifying character in the first, but as time goes on he becomes this fun-loving character that little kids want to dress up as for Halloween," Zombie said. "Same with Michael Myers [from 'Halloween']. And I didn't want that to happen, so I took the humor away so the characters kind of go in the exact opposite direction. They become meaner and more horrible, rather than familiar and fun-loving."
Zombie, who has scratched recording plans to focus on "The Devil's Rejects," said the tone of his first movie got away from him, but in the process he learned how to keep it darker for the second.
However, while the sequel has been another learning experience, the director's third project will not be another "Corpses" movie.
"When I wrote the first movie I had the second one in mind because I thought, 'OK, if it's successful, they'll want a sequel,' so at least I would like to see that through," Zombie said. "But no, two is enough. Two seems to work, three never works."
Zombie's not sure where his film career will take him next, but the avid comic collector has no interest in adapting a comic for the big screen.
"I'm already sick of comic-book movies, truthfully," he said. "They've remade everything."

Batman on Film has some great scoops today on the superhero flick.
First up some of the smaller but crucial roles have been cast. Linus Roache and Sara Stewart will play Thomas & Martha Wayne, Gus Lewis takes on the role of the young Bruce Wayne, and Richard Brake stars as the one and only Joe Chill.
Their scooper says of the sets in which these actors would mostly perform - "They've built inside the hangars, several streets of Gotham. They are full of supports. Metal gurders everywhere. It reminded me of [The] "French Connection", there's even apparently a chase underneath the monorail, which could be similar to the one from FC. Everywhere was painted dark green. And the alleyway they are shot in looks the part, dirty and grimy".
The coolest news of the day - a trailer description: "We see a man slip on a strange looking gas mask. Very German/Nazi WW2 looking for the design of the mask. Probably the Scarecrow. A black screen, Batman standing on top of a building then jumping falling down towards the screen. Flashes of a fast moving train, What looks like a huge black tank and a helicopter and police cars. A few more flashes of some fast paced car action...Bale's eyes appear over the skyline, Which fades into Bale's face in the Batman mask" .
Finally, the same Newsweek article which had two photos last week online also had two extra photos in the print issue including our first look at Neeson as 'Ducard' in the movie:

What do you do when your cheaps as chips to make English horror film earns a loyal cult audience and around $70 million in worldwide box-office sales? You greenlight a sequel of course.
Variety reports that Fox Searchlight is putting together a sequel to 2002's Danny Boyle-directed "28 Days Later". For now the studio would confirm only that a sequel is in the works, sources said the tentative title is "28 Weeks Later" and that the studio is circling Rowan Joffe ("The Killing Fields", "Last Resort") to write the script.
Boyle is not expected to direct the sequel, though he and screenwriter Alex Garland likely will take producing roles alongside the first pic's producer, Andrew Macdonald. The first film's star Cillian Murphy is currently playing the villainous 'The Scarecrow'

Porn Valley- Howard Stern yesterday morning played a clip from a radio interview with Larry Flynt who was on a Baltimore station. Flynt was asked his opinion about the FCC's ongoing war with Stern. Stern said the table for the Flynt clip.
"He sums it up," says Stern. "He's outraged at what's happening to the First Amendment. It's not about me. These fines are the same as the Mafia shaking down a small operator. These fines that are unconstitutional that have never been tried in a court, this muscling in on these large companies and telling them that their licenses will be revoked unless they pay up is so outrageous. But what Larry Flynt points out he goes for Colin Powell's son to be given this kind of power is absolutely freakish."
A caller-in named Mike asked Flynt how he felt about the ongoing Stern censorship.
"I think it's a travesty," said Flynt. "It just boggles my mind. Powell's kid can set up the FCC and call all the shots in terms of how much to fine people. This is the biggest attack on Free Speech that we've had in our century.
"The First Amendment is intended to protect offensive speech," Flynt continued. "It's intended to protect the thought you hate the most and not the thought you love the most." Asked if Stern will come out of this or whether the government will succeed in getting him off the air, Flynt said he's hoping Stern will come out of it.
"If there's a new administration in, I think there will be a new attitude about censorship," Flynt said. "Bush and his cronies play hardball."
Stern agreed about the hardball part and said Bush has four more fines coming out against him. "I'm telling you I love it," Stern said. "I like the fact that they have targeted me. I don't mind if this company takes me off the air. I'm ready to go. And I'm ready to become the sacrificial lamb to prove that Bush is out of control. This is unfriggin' believable- what's going on with the war in Iraq; what's coming out in all these books; the interviews on 60 Minutes and this is what they're worried about."
Meanwhile, folk in the VCA building, a Larry Flynt property, are worried about their futures. The latest rumor going around is that with the building lease up the end of the year, the company's fortunes are hanging in the air. Spurring those rumors was the letting go of Jim Nitz, the company's general manager, this week. Nitz had replaced the thought- irreplaceable Don McDonald, a Flynt hail-fellow-well-met. Not so hail and not so well met, apparently.

Orridge to return to active duty making music following the “termination” of Throbbing Gristle, the seminal Industrial ensemble the latter had fronted. One day, he found P. Orridge’s poem “Just Drifting” lying on a water heater and challenged his friend to form a band with him if he could successfully set it to music – which was done within 24 hours. Adding Peter Christopherson, the group commenced a career of creating profoundly influential, highly innovative, and unflinching provocative music, with the details of its packaging, marketing and lifestyle of the musicians creators being crucial components of the aesthetic package.
Over some 14 odd years, Psychic TV recorded and released dozens of live and studio albums. Just recently they retrieved ownership to all this material and are currently preparing a systematic re-issue program as well as releasing previously unavailable material. When Psychic TV was terminated in turn in the mid 90’s Genesis would pursue further musical goals with like Thee Majesty, Cottom Ferox and so on. Recently, P-Orridge reunited with the other members of Throbbing Gristle working on a variety of new recordings, new compositions as well as reconstructions of older repertoire.
The full history of Genesis Breyer P. Orridge and his varied musical exploits of the past 3 decades as well as his socio-cultural (or should that be politico-sexual? Or all the above!) adventures would fill a book (in fact last year Soft Skull published Painful but Fabulous:
The Life and Art of Genesis P-Orridge ).

By forming the group Throbbing Gristle in the mid 1970's, Genesis P-Orridge created one of the most influential groups of the last 30 years. If you haven't heard their music, you will certainly have listened to someone who has. Their pioneering industrial sound and self-sufficient approach to record distribution set them apart from their more conventional contemporaries.
Adding the philosophies of influences such as the writer William S. Burroughs, poet and painter Brion Gysin, legendary occultist Aleister Crowley and various underground authors, thinkers and film makers, TG produced some of the most unsettling and thought provoking music of all time.
They made a number of fascinating albums and singles, often printing the sleeves themselves and releasing them into the wild in limited quantities. Their concerts were far from dull affairs, often resulting in direct confrontations between band and audience members. All of these live performances were recorded for posterity and still retain their impact to this day.
Deciding in 1981, that 'the mission is terminated', the members of the group went their separate ways. Keyboardist Chris Carter and brass specialist Cosey Fanni Tutti formed Chris and Cosey, while electronics expert Peter 'Sleazy' Christopherson (later of Coil) and vocalist/noise-maker Genesis P-Orridge founded Psychic TV.
Although at the beginning, PTV's output could at times be compared to Throbbing Gristle's experimental wall of sound; their music would quickly evolve over time, refracting a great many musical styles along the way. With the singles 'Roman P', a cover of the Beach Boys' 'Good Vibrations' and the stunning 'Godstar', they even touched upon the UK singles chart. Dreaming of ultimately creating their own TV station, the group produced many videos along the way, some of which were made commercially available and are well worth seeking out. Often repulsive, often beautiful, the images contained within these films would mirror the musical atmospheres the band was creating.
Then, in 1987 PTV were in crisis both financially and productively. They were without a record deal at the time but had a legion of fans, all eager for some new material. The band solved this by announcing a new project: over the next two years they would release a live album on the 23rd of each month for the next 23 months. Although they never finished the series (17 albums were brought out), they did succeed in annoying the record companies and journalists, whilst pleasing many fans who had a new cut-price album to look forward to every month. The albums each contained a written message from the band, almost like a monthly newsletter, and featured concert recordings spanning PTV's entire career. A selection of these albums has now been re-released for the first time on CD by Voiceprint Records, each in a strictly limited edition of 1000. Each is individually numbered, and reproduces the original cover and written content of the LPs, with the addition of a newly penned insert from Genesis himself.
Psychic TV was founded by ALEX FERGUSSON and GENESIS P-ORRIDGE in Hackney, East London in 1981. The actual story is that Genesis was so disillusioned with even the independent music scene and being in Throbbing Gristle by 1981 that he quit TG in Los Angeles prior to their last 2 live gigs. Alex Fergusson, was previously co-founder of Alternative TV with Mark Perry (of Sniffin' Glue fanzine infamy). A little known fact is that G. P-O was the first drummer in ATV! Genesis and Monte Cazazza had been planning an agenda for a Psychic para-military occult group in secret for 2 years or so. Alex continually told Gen that he should still write songs and "not waste his lyrical talents." One day Alex noticed a poem on the water heater in Gen's kitchen over a cup of tea, literally! "Hows about I take that poem and IF I can turn it into a song you like we'll start a band combining our two names? Psychic and TV?" said Alex. To get him off his back Gen said OK. A day later Alex returned and played a stunningly appealing ballad to Gen accompanying himself on acoustic guitar. That song was "JUST DRIFTING". Both the romanticism, and anti-Industrial style hooked Gen's aesthetic and emotional attention. Perfect irony to go acoustic, let's add an orchestra he suggested. Psychic TV was born and "Just Drifting" was the first track on their first album for WEA in 1982-3 "FORCE THEE HANDS OV CHANCE". Because in Gen's mind Sleazy (aka P. Christopherson) was associated with bad memories of the demise of TG it was not until almost a year later that Gen and Alex decided to sound him out about joining PTV as a band member conditional on Gen owning the name and having full control in the event of any disagreements. Too often Alex Fergusson has been wrongfully relegated to a minor role in the story of PTV and it is IMPORTANT, especially in the context of VOICEPRINT where legacies are carefully preserved to be clear that without ALEX FERGUSSON there NEVER would've been PTV and HE was the co-founder with Genesis, closely followed intellectually by Monte Cazazza who played guitar many times in Psychic TV and who is the ONLY person to have done an entire gig as the PTV vocalist, in Rotterdam, Holland when Gen was too sick to play!
Genesis P Orridge NY July 2003
During thee last few y-eras we have fought long, and costly, battles to retrieve ownership ov all our various recordings and master tapes. Coumtimes licencing deals ran out amicably and our music returned to us happily. At other times we have been forced to hire attorneys to fight for us to put an end to sub-standard bootlegs, pirates, cowboys ov every possible shade ov dishonest and shabby, greedy and immoral. Often these despicable types are invisible to you thee fans. You have no way ov knowing which CD in your local shop is legitimate and which is a phoney where not a penny goes towards our activities and our desire to continue to believe thee world, culture and humanE behaviour can be transitioned into what is possible and divine in our species, instead ov that which is base in thee origins ov thee species. For example, (whilst it is obvious to us at a glance) would you ever have guessed that we had NOTHING whatever to do with "ORIGIN OF THE SPECIES VOL. THREE". We did not give our permission for its release, or choose thee tracks. Some tracks are not by PTV at all, but about half thee tracks were by other bands who were never consulted before their music was paraded as PTV ( eg.Glen Meadmore). One look at thee artwork shows it is not up to our standards or properly part ov thee jigsaw puzzles ov our ACID design, and where was thee 30 page booklet written by Genesis? Naturally we are always looking for amicable ways to discourage these last few anomalies so that you, our public where music is concerned, can be sure that each release you see is OFFICIAL, endorsed directly by Genesis and thee other people concerned like THEE MAJESTY, COTTON FEROX and so on. We want every CD to be as PERFECT and DEFINITIVE as possible. Sometimes we have only a vinyl copy from thee archives to begin with, but our resident maestro BRYIN DALL can take snap, crackle and pop and turn it into thee musick ov thee spheres! Bless him mightily.
SO..as thee stream ov knock-offs seems endless, their source ever changing like a river in flood cutting through fertile land...we have made an agreement with VOICEPRINT RECORDS in England to slowly but surely release all our back catalogue in it's best possible form so that we never have to concern ourselves with quality of sound or second-rate design again. Thee live series is often from cassette tapes, so it is patchy at times! However we try to choose thee significant, or unique gigs that a collector would want anyway, rather than just thee tightest performance or best sound on tape. In a very real way we release thee recordings that WE would want to have and that WE wish to have preserved, in however fragile an Astorical way. To make things simpler we have split thee releases into various series. Then if you are more into having a completist collection ov PTV live you can focus on THEE LIVE SERIES. At least 30 are planned, butter who knows? Only 1000 numbered copies ov each gig are made. If you want to follow THEE MAJESTY and thee great L-ov-E ov Genesis NOW! unfolding there is a SPOKEN WORD SERIES, already up to four releases by June 2004. Thee newest release is "WORDSHIP" by THEE MAJESTY and COTTON FEROX, recorded in Stockholm by Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, Carl Abrahamsson and Thomas Tibbert. All thee music and poems are new decompositions. Lady Jaye adores this so much she quite literally plays it every night as a ritual preparation for rest and sleep. Genesis feels that it is thee most precise prose poem S/he has received ever up until this T.I.M.E.

Each release in this series will include never before released extra tracks, alternate mixes and definitive edits from the specific project celebrated. There will be a lavish 20-30 page booklet packed with detailed anecdotes and rare, unpublished photos and images directly culled from the PTV archives. All music will be digitally rescued, de-clicked and re-mastered under the supervision of Genesis Breyer P-Orridge. The distinctive slip case design by Edward ODowd will be a different metallic color for each release with a Psychic Cross window cut in the center.
Thee first release in May 2004 will be "GODSTAR - Soundtrack to a Film Based Upon Thee L-if-E And Times Ov Brian Jones". This is a double CD with thee hyperdelic era PTV songs, instrumentals, previously unreleased sequences and rarities finally arranged as Genesis always intended in thee order they would be to illuminate each scene in thee film. There is a large booklet with never before seen photographs and facts about thee project, Brian Jones, why Genesis became obsessed with Brian and then how Brian came to represent one ov thee pantheon ov growing Icons ov PANDROGENY. This is an amazing release, If you are a fan ov BRIAN JONES, ov thee SIXTIES, ov thee STONES or anything to do with thee journey ov L-if-E revealed by Brian's tragedy and triumph. For thee first time too you can hear, first hand, Brion Gysin describe to Genesis Brian Jones' first visit to Jajouka and thee events that followed with Anita, Keith and thee others. A unique "publication".
THEE GENESIS P-ORRIDGE SPOKEN WORD SERIES:
This series aims to be the CD equivalent of Lawrence Ferlinghetti’s “Pocket Poets”books from the 60’s that made Beatnik poetry so accessible and influential. The first 4 CD’s center on THEE MAJESTY both itself, and in collaboration with Swedish experimentalists COTTON FEROX and WHITE STAINS. Three are definitive re-releases with the entire poetic text in each accompanying booklet as well as previously unpublished rare, related photos. The most recent release “WORDSHIP” is entirely new, original psychedelic ambient dub music with an amazing prose poem series that has been compared to T.S. Elliot’s “Wasteland” in it’s complex genius. Future releases will feature Beat poet Brion Gysin set to music by invited artists. Gradually more writers and poets will be added into this series combining spoken word and music uniquely curated by Genesis Breyer P-Orridge.
PSYCHIC TV – THEE LIVE SERIES
In the 1980’s Psychic TV’s own Temple Records label began to release a series of 23 live vinyl albums to combat the bootleggers and to give a service to their most loyal fans of the best possible sound quality combined with the most varied, anomalous and/or unconventional live performances. By collecting this entire CD series (which is not stopping at 23!) fans get all songs improvised on stage only once, spontaneous cover versions and instrumental jams will be preserved whilst giving maximum musical completeness to collectors. Each CD is a numbered Limited Edition of only 1000 copies. Edward ODowd has redesigned the distinctive original Red,Black and White sleeves as cardboard gatefolds. Genesis Breyer P-Orridge has supplied intimate journal notes and anecdotes from the period to add authenticity and depth to this unique journey alongside an everchanging band

from adultfyi.com / N.Y. Post
In a bombshell confession, Bill Clinton has told why he had a torrid affair with Monica Lewinsky: “Just because I could.”
“I did something for the worst possible reason — just because I could,” he said of his romps with Lewinsky. “I think that’s just about the most morally indefensible reason anybody could have for doing something — when you do it because you could," a contrite Clinton told CBS newsman Dan Rather in an interview about his hotly anticipated memoir that airs Sunday on "60 Minutes."
And I thought about it a lot, and there are a lot of more sophisticated explanations, more complicated psychological explanations, but none of them are an excuse.
"Only a fool does not look to explain his mistakes."
Clinton also called his Oval Office trysts with the Sexgate siren "a terrible moral error" that put him in the "doghouse" with wife Hillary and threatened to alienate daughter Chelsea.
The philandering 42nd president has publicly apologized numerous times for the scandal, which rocked the country and led to his impeachment in 1998 — but this is the first time he's revealed what fueled his presidential peccadilloes.
Rather told The Post yesterday that the 57-year-old Clinton seemed genuinely remorseful about the salacious affair.
"He said it was a terrible mistake — indefensible morally," Rather said.
In the wide-ranging interview, Clinton also said Hillary needed time to decide whether she would stay with him — and that only through counseling were they able to heal their fractured marriage.
"We'd take a day a week, and we did — a whole day a week every week for a year, maybe a little more, and did counseling," said Clinton.
"We did it together. We did it individually. We did family work."
Clinton called his impeachment fight a "badge of honor."
"I don't see it as a stain," he said. "Because it was illegitimate."
The "60 Minutes" interview is part of Clinton's massive publicity blitz for "My Life," the 957-page tome for which he was paid a $12 million advance.
The much-buzzed-about $35 book hits stores Tuesday — but come Monday, bookstores in New York and Washington are considering staying open until after midnight for the first official sales.
The book's publisher, Knopf, will release 1.5 million copies of the memoir — the all-time record for a work of nonfiction.
"My Life" is broken into two parts — one chronicling his hardscrabble childhood in rural Arkansas to his election as president in 1992, and the second covering his White House years and the Sexgate scandal.
"I don't try to settle a lot of scores in the book," Clinton said recently.
"I don't spare myself in the book."
Meanwhile, Lewinsky declined comment about Clinton's bombshell revelations when The Post caught up with her yesterday outside her posh West Village apartment building.
Clinton will appear in bookstores in New York Tuesday to autograph copies. Once it is released, Clinton will make the rounds on the news and talk shows.
For those who can't wait until Tuesday to find out what's in "My Life," AOL — beginning tomorrow — will offer audio excerpts of the tome as read aloud by Clinton, and Infinity Broadcasting Corp. will air excerpts on the radio.

Four young unknown actors have won golden tickets in the form of co-starring roles in Tim Burton's upcoming remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Annasophia Robb, Jordan Fry, Julia Winter and Philip Wiegratz will join British actor Freddie Highmore, who plays Charlie, and Johnny Depp, as the infamous chocolate factory owner, Willy Wonka in the latest adaptation of the children's book by Roald Dahl.
Robb, who portrays the competitive Violet Beauregarde, appeared in the TV movie Samantha: An American Girl Holiday and Wayne Wang's upcoming feature Because of Winn-Dixie. Fry takes on the role of Mike Teavee, a brainy bully with a passion for television. Winter and Wiegratz will make their professional acting debuts in the roles of spoiled rich girl Varuca Salt and gluttonous German boy Augustus Gloop, the trade paper reported. The film is scheduled for release in the summer of 2005.

Alfred Molina, who plays the villainous Doctor Octopus in the upcoming Spider-Man 2, told SCI FI Wire that filmmakers created his four mechanical tentacles with a combination of on-set puppeteering and post-production computer animation. The puppeteers imbued each tentacle with such personality that they even gave them names, he told reporters in a press briefing. "We had a lot of fun, actually," Molina said. "We got very close, because we were working with each other every day. We actually gave the tentacles names. ... The two big ones, the two down here [gestures to his legs], were very kind of male. They were the ones that kind of broke through things. There was Harry, Larry [then indicating above his head] Flo and Mo."
Molina added, "It was a mixture of practical puppeteers, the arms, [with] CG and animation. Well, we had a fantastic team of puppeteers, 16 [or so] guys and one woman, and a wonderful choreographer, ... who sort of essentially designed the movement. ... And the puppeteers and myself, we worked together very closely over a series of weeks to try and develop a sort of--How can I put it?--a sort of vocabulary of movement, a sort of language, if you like. so we could do great big things, like push a hole through a building, but at the same time, do delicate things, like taking off a pair of glasses or lighting a cigar. Or even one shot we did--which I don't think we ever used it--but we actually had one ... of the tentacles actually came out and wiped away a tear. So we had a really wide range of possibility."

From MTV:
There were plenty of strange visitors dropping in on Ministry while the band was working on its new album, Houses of the Mole, in a studio in El Paso, Texas. Some got a little drunk and crazy and acted like they weren't from this planet. And, if you believe frontman Al Jourgensen, some really weren't from this planet.
"We had a couple of visitations that were pretty interesting," he said. "There were huge delta formations of spacecrafts making unfeasible, unbelievable maneuvers up in the sky. One of the little gray guys even paid us a visit one night."
Considering Jourgensen's drug-addled past, you might write his sightings off as acid-fueled hallucinations, and assume that he's returned to past haunts after the sober creation of 2003's bludgeoning Animositisomina. But Al insists that he's still clean, and that guitarist Mike Scaccia can vouch for the nosey alien.
"Mikey woke up startled and sat up, and the alien got even more freaked out than Mikey and went hauling ass out the door," Jourgensen said. "The dogs started barking, then the thing jumped up on the roof, scampered around and jumped off like something out of the movie 'Signs.' "
Stranger still, this encounter was Jourgensen's third run-in with beings from another world. The first took place when he was 5 and living in Havana, Cuba. "It was right before Christmas, and I thought, being of Spanish heritage, that I was being visited by the three wise men," he said. "I was in bed, and I saw these three really skinny, white-bearded guys. The next morning, my grandmother noticed I had this green triangle on my neck. It was like a tattoo, and it went away in a week, but it just freaked her out.
"The other encounter was when I was 17, but that would take about an hour to describe."
Houses of the Mole, Ministry's fastest, most acerbic record in more than a decade, comes out June 22 . The album can be heard in its entirety in streaming audio on www.VH1.com. Jourgensen worked on Houses with Scaccia, guitarist Brian Kehoe, bassist John Monte (replacing longtime member Paul Barker, who quit in January), keyboardist Darryl James and ex-Fear drummer Mark Baker. The musicians are currently in the studio — with ex-Skatenigs singer Phil Owen and Frankie Nardiello from My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult — working on a new album by Ministry side project the Revolting Cocks.
"It's pretty fucking juvenile," Jourgensen laughed. "There's a cover of [Jimi Hendrix's] 'Purple Haze' on there called 'Purple Head.' Other songs are 'Prunetang,' 'Too Small to Taste' and 'Beat It Till You're Tired.' It's so childish because we're having a gas. We're 45-year-old juvenile delinquents. It's good work if you can get it."

According to a posting at ReleaseMagazine.net, German industrial metallers RAMMSTEIN have set "Reise Reise" (which roughly translates to "Journey Journey") as the title of their new album, tentatively due late September. The tentative track listing for the effort is as follows:
01. Reise Reise
02. Amerika
03. Los
04. Wo Bist Du
05. Mein Teil
06. Dalai Lama
07. Keine Lust
08. Morgenstern
09. Amore
The album's first single, "Mein Teil" (written about the man who was willingly eaten by a cannibal in Germany), is set for a June 28 release and will feature a remix by the PET SHOP BOYS. Commented Release magazine contributor Johan Carlsson: "The album feels more natural, and the electronics – while still present – are taking a backseat. Strings and choirs beef up the sound at times, and even some blues can be found on one track. They haven't lost the heavy RAMMSTEIN sound though."

'Nicklogan' sent Superhero Hype! this exclusive look at a maquette of The Thing which was on display at the recent International Make Up Artist Trade Show in Pasadena, where it was announced that the team who worked on the Hellboy special effects would also be creating The Thing in Fantastic Four.
It is possible that the character in the film will look exactly, somewhat, or not at all like the maquette shown. Tim Story is directing the Marvel adaptation at 20th Century Fox for a July 1, 2005 release date. No cast has been announced yet.

An album is expected to be delivered in early '05.

The Ramones family is taking another hit.
Johnny Ramone, the lone surviving original member of the seminal '70s punk band, is dying of cancer in a Los Angeles hospital, drummer Marky Ramone tells RollingStone.com.
"Johnny's been a champ in confronting this, but at this point I think the chances are slim," his former bandmate says on the Website.
The 55-year-old guitarist, whose real name is John Cummings, was reportedly diagnosed with prostate cancer four years ago and has undergone extensive chemotherapy treatment in a losing battle with the disease.
"John never smoked cigarettes, he wasn't a heavy drinker and he was always into his health," says Marky. "It just proves when cancer seeks a body to penetrate, it doesn't matter how healthy you are or how unhealthy you are. It just seeps in and there's nothing you can do."
Marky Ramone (né Marc Bell) says he felt compelled to update the public about his longtime pal after receiving a flood of email from fans and news organizations concerned about Johnny's health; Marky says he felt Johnny would be too ill to respond.
"He went through many chemotherapy treatments," noted Marky. "Some of it worked better than others. At this point [the cancer] has started to go into other areas of the body."
Johnny's diagnosis is the latest catastrophic news to hit the hard-luck band. The band's other two founding members, frontman Joey Ramone and bassist Dee Dee Ramone, both died in recent years. Joey (born Jeff Hyman) lost his fight with lymphatic cancer in April 2001, while Dee Dee (aka Douglas Colvin) succumbed to a heroin overdose in June 2002.
Joey, Johnny and Dee Dee, who weren't related but adopted the same pseudonymous moniker for their act, formed the Ramones in Queens, New York, in 1974 as a trio. The band underwent several roster changes throughout the years, including adding Marky Ramone on the drums in place of Tommy Ramone, who stopped performing with the band in 1977 but continued to produce Ramones albums.
The Ramones revolutionized rock 'n' roll with such hard-charging two-minute, three-chord anthems as "I Wanna Be Sedated," "Blietzkrieg Bop," "Rockaway Beach" and "Teenage Lobotomy." They are considered pioneers of punk rock, influencing generations of bands from the Sex Pistols and the Clash to the Dead Kennedys and Green Day.
The group officially disbanded in 1996 following the release of their 14th and final studio album, Adios Amigos, and a farewell tour.
In 2002, the group was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame, with Johnny, Marky, Dee Dee, and Tommy reuniting on stage and paying tribute to Joey.

Tonight right after the SKINNY PUPPY concert in Chicago our favorite watering hole THE LIARS CLUB at 1665 W Fullerton Ave. (773-665-1110) will host an aftershow party. MK and SPV are providing some rare full color posters for the people who arrive while supplies last.
James B Eccentric will be spinning tunes so join us for an old school night of armor plated industrial beats.

Now that we're on a role and we have our year planned out, we would like to introduce you to the next 2 ViXXXens to follow Jesse Jane as our next cover girls and centerfolds.
Vicky Vette should be shooting her photos next week and Gauge will shoot hers this fall as she visits Chicago.
MK's AZ is very excited about Vicky Vette who is currently the most energetic person in Adult Cinema. She recently graced the cover of Xtreme, Xcitement and AVN magazines and was recently featured in MAXIM. And the fact that she got her start in the industry at 38 years old should serve as an inspiration for all women over 30 and 40. Not to join the industry but to feel more comfortable with their sexuality.
And Gauge is just hands down a pint sized bad ass. You can see it in her eyes, she looks like trouble. And Gauge on film, well, take our word for it and buy a DVD with her in it. Her most recent film is Gauge Unchained which broke METRO sales records it's first week of release.

WASHINGTON - Saying he wants to ensure no minors are used in sexually explicit books, films, magazines, and Websites, Attorney General John Ashcroft called June 14 for tougher records inspections for the adult entertainment industry.
The new proposal would tighten the list of acceptable forms of identification and scrap college ID and Selective Service cards, while also requiring forms of ID be accessible to government agencies to guarantee their legitimacy, according to a published report.
Ashcroft said new guidelines would be finalized following a period of public comment.
"These changes will put teeth into our efforts to ensure that children are not being used as performers in the sexually explicit productions of the media," he told a Washington press conference. "There will be no excuses for anyone who takes part in abusing children for sexually explicit productions."
Free Speech Coalition executive director Kat Sunlove said the group isn't likely to oppose the newly proposed regulations, though she maintained underage actors are not used in adult entertainment. "We don't need to," she told reporters. "There are too many 18-year-olds that knock on the door on their birthday."
The news of the newly proposed rules came as the Justice Department reportedly conceded they had performed no records inspections of the industry in the previous 12 years, despite rules allowing for them, one report said.
House Judiciary Committee chairman Jim Sensenbrenner (R-Wisconsin), who appeared at the press conference with Ashcroft, said he applauded the new proposals but said enforcement until now of the existing rules "across administrations from both parties, has been less than stellar, to put it mildly."

Few things are cooler than seeing Bruce Wayne's new ride from the upcoming film, Batman Begins. At a recent New York City event, Warner Brothers unveiled the new Batmobile to sounds of gasps and fainting, and we were there to capture it all on video.

Movies: Bat Out of Hell
By Devin Gordon
Newsweek
The only major cast member on the set of the new "Batman" movie who doesn't have his own private trailer with his name on the door is Batman himself, actor Christian Bale. Michael Caine, who plays Batman's trusted butler, Alfred, has one, as does Katie Holmes, who plays love interest Rachel Dodson. But what about Bale? If you're looking for him, try knocking on the trailer door with a sign that reads BRUCE WAYNE. (That's Batman's alter ego. But you knew that.) If it all sounds a bit Method-actor fussy, well, it is. But Bale doesn't come across that way. Between takes of a scene in the dank, monstrous Batcave—erected on a soundstage at Shepperton Studios outside London and complete with lagoon, waterfall and subterranean bachelor pad—Holmes tries to engage Bale, 30, in a quick rehearsal. "Is Sergeant Gordon your friend?" she asks, running one of her lines. "Yes," a fully costumed Bale answers in his thick, icy baritone. "He's very warm, very comforting. I like to be held." Later, Bale hums as a makeup guy gives him a retouching. "The next one'll be a musical?" the man asks. Bale grins. "Yeah, they'll call it 'Batman!' with an exclamation point."
Let's just see how this new movie pans out first, shall we? After all, the comic-book franchise does have a checkered past. The new chapter, which will hit theaters in June 2005, is called "Batman Begins"—presumably because "Batman Sucked the Last Time So We're Starting Over" was too clunky. After the cultural phenomenon surrounding Tim Burton's operatic 1989 original, which rang up $251 million at the box office and untold more in bicycle caps and Prince cassette singles, the series plummeted over three sequels, bottoming out with 1997's disastrous "Batman & Robin," featuring George Clooney in a Batsuit studded with rubber nipples. But now there is buzz once again around the Warner Brothers franchise, and it's all because of the new film's 33-year-old director, England's Christopher Nolan, the creator of "Memento." "Batman is an absolutely iconic character, one of the great figures in pop culture, really," says Nolan. "But there has to be a reason for making this film as opposed to just renting Tim Burton's version." The hiring of the Welsh indie actor Bale ("American Psycho") was a healthy start—especially given the crass, movie-star jamboree (Uma Thurman, Arnold Schwarzenegger) that mucked up the later "Batman" sequels.
Warner Brothers might appear to be rolling the dice by handing over a $150 million summer blockbuster to a man who's never directed an action movie before. But the real risk isn't Nolan. It's Batman. Seven years ago, moviegoers' interest in the character had flatlined. Even Nolan admits he's not certain enough time has passed for audiences to get excited about a new "Batman" movie. "But I know I am," he says, laughing. So was the studio. When Alan Horn took over Warner Brothers four years ago, "one of his mandates was to get 'Batman' back out there," says president of production Jeff Rabinov. "But it took time to find the right person to redefine the franchise." Nolan won the job by vowing to strip away the later sequels' bombast and return "Batman" to its roots in character drama.
As exhaustively as the "Batman" legend has been told on film and TV, one chapter has never received comprehensive treatment: the first one. As a boy, Bruce Wayne sees his parents murdered before his eyes and dedicates his life to avenging them. But how, and why, does he become Batman? Where do the suit and cape come from? (Burton's film glossed over these questions.) Or, as Nolan puts it, "How did this guy who has no superpowers acquire all of these capabilities? He lives in the real world—it's sort of New York on steroids, but it's our world." Nolan pored over 65 years of comics and came up with this story: after a long exile, Wayne, now a 25-year-old scion, returns to Gotham City intent on kicking criminal butt. His family's military subcontracting business, Wayne Enterprises, has been seized by shareholders, who've relegated the company's most ambitious designs—and their inventor, Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman)—to the scrapheap. Wayne befriends Fox, using his designs to create an alter ego. And not a moment too soon because, naturally, there's a villain on the loose named the Scarecrow (Cillian Murphy of "28 Days Later"), who's hellbent on poisoning all of Gotham.
It's a comic-book tale, but Nolan promises that "Batman Begins," which also stars Liam Neeson and Gary Oldman, won't look anything like a comic-book movie. In contrast to the gothic fantasia of Burton's creation, Nolan has opted for gritty urban realism. At a converted airplane hangar an hour north of London, his crew has built a full city block of Gotham, much of it based on the towering slums of Kowloon in Hong Kong, which were razed in 1994. But the starting point for his vision, the director says, was the new Batmobile. Last year Nolan holed up in his garage in Los Angeles with production designer Nathan Crowley and hammered out a design that would make sense for the story. What they came up with is a drastic departure. The vehicle's rear is stacked with four 44-inch Humvee tires, and the front is covered in jagged plates of armor. It looks like something Pablo Picasso might take to a monster-truck rally—a muscle car for a tortured soul. Perfect for Batman.
The Batmobile may have been step one, but on the set, nothing gets more attention than the Batsuit. Whenever Bale is in costume, two people trail him to keep it smudge-free; another person is charged with making sure his cape billows dramatically. On a converted parking lot at Shepperton, the crew has built an entire village of trailers, dubbed Cape Town, where chemists and costume art-ists churn out neoprene-and-foam-latex Batsuits by the bushel. In the movie, the suit is translucent at first: it's a futuristic military design complete with body armor and muscle-recovery devices. Wayne sprays it black to camouflage it. "Chris wanted a serious, matte finish—not shiny or gloopy," says costume designer Lindy Hemming. "We didn't want to depart from the classic silhouette, but we also didn't want to go too much in the homoerotic direction." Got it: no nipples.
On this particular day, Bale has been in the Batsuit for nine hours, and his brain is starting to boil. But he keeps up his good humor. After one take, Nolan instructs him to try a line again with more intensity, and Bale answers with a riff inspired by "This Is Spinal Tap": "How much more Batman can you get? The answer is: none. None more Batman." Later, freed of his suit, Bale plugs his nose with a handkerchief soaked in Olbas oil, a Swiss remedy for headaches. "This is obviously the highest-profile movie I will probably ever do," Bale says, taking a drag on his hand-rolled cigarette. "And sometimes on a huge movie like this, every take becomes an event. You can easily lose any kind of intimacy. But it feels as good as it can here, because at the core of this huge production is Chris Nolan." And if "Batman" is going to begin again, it's all up to the man at the top.

LONDON - Morrissey, outspoken lead singer of '80s rockers The Smiths, has sparked an Internet storm with reported comments about President George W. Bush.
The Manchester Evening News said Thursday it had received a record number of hits after reporting on its Web site that Morrissey, 45, had interrupted a Dublin concert Saturday with news of former President Reagan's death, adding that he wished Bush had died instead.
Morrissey's record company, Sanctuary Records, could not confirm the remarks.
"We do not have a recording of the gig, but as far as we can tell, Morrissey was just alerting the audience to the fact that Ronald Reagan (news) had died," the newspaper quoted the company as saying. "He then simply followed that up with his comment about George Bush, which was his own opinion. He is no stranger to controversy."
A newspaper spokeswoman said thousands of people, 90 percent from the United States, had contacted the site to complain. A few expressed support for the remarks.
Formed in Manchester in the early 1980s, The Smiths had a series of British hits and a large cult following around the world, with songs including "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now" and "Shoplifters of the World Unite."
A longtime proponent of celibacy and vegetarianism who once wrote a song titled "Bigmouth Strikes Again," Morrissey drew criticism in the early 1990s when he appeared to flirt with right-wing British nationalism.
He now lives in Los Angeles and is touring Europe for the first time in a decade to promote his latest solo album, "You Are the Quarry."

PARIS (Reuters) - French actress-turned-animal rights activist Brigitte Bardot was convicted Thursday of inciting racial hatred and ordered to pay $6,000 -- the fourth such fine for the former sex symbol since 1997.
The Paris court sentenced Bardot, 69, for remarks in her book "A Scream in the Silence," an outspoken attack on gays, immigrants and the jobless that shocked France last year.
In the book, she laments the "Islamization of France" and the "underground and dangerous infiltration of Islam."
"Mme. Bardot presents Muslims as barbaric and cruel invaders, responsible for terrorist acts and eager to dominate the French to the extent of wanting to exterminate them," the court said.
France's 5-million-member Muslim community is the largest in Europe.
Bardot, who was not present for the verdict, denied the charges in a tearful court appearance last month, saying her book did not target Islam or people from North Africa.
She told the court France was going through a period of decadence and said she opposed interracial marriage.
"I was born in 1934, at that time interracial marriage wasn't approved of," she said.
"There are many new languages in the new Europe. Mediocrity is taking over from beauty and splendor. There are many people who are filthy, badly dressed and badly shaven."
In her book, she also attacks homosexuals as "fairground freaks," condemns the presence of women in government and denounces the "scandal of unemployment benefits."
Bardot's attacks on Muslims prompted anti-racism groups to launch legal proceedings against the former star, who turned her back on film after 46 films to concentrate on animal welfare.
Bardot, who in her 1960s heyday was the epitome of French feminine beauty, was fined $3,250 in January 1998 after being convicted of inciting racial hatred in comments about civilian massacres in Algeria.
Four months earlier, a court fined her for saying France was being overrun by sheep-slaughtering Muslims.

Premise/Synopsis: "Batman Begins" is an origin story describing how Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) became Gotham City's Caped Crusader. As a young boy, Bruce Wayne watched in horror as his millionaire parents were slain in front of him--a trauma that leads him to become obsessed with revenge. But the opportunity to avenge his parent's deaths is cruelly taken away from him by fate. Fleeing to the East, where he seeks counsel with the dangerous but honorable ninja cult leader known as Ra's Al-Ghul, Bruce returns to his now decaying Gotham City, which is overrun by organized crime and other dangerous individuals manipulating the system. Meanwhile, Bruce is slowly being swindled out of Wayne Industries, the company he inherited. The discovery of a cave under his mansion, along with a prototype armored suit, leads him to assume a new persona, one which will strike fear into the hearts of men who do wrong; he becomes Batman!!! In the new guise, and with the help of rising cop Jim Gordon, Batman sets out to take down the various nefarious schemes in motion by individuals such as mafia don Falcone, the twisted doctor/drug dealer Jonathan 'The Scarecrow' Crane, and a mysterious third party that is quite familiar with Wayne and waiting to strike when the time is right.

From Batman's Wild Ride
By NANCY DILLON DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER
Holy headlights! Batman has a new ride, and it's all bat-pimped out.
The new 2005 Batmobile, unveiled at the Javits Center yesterday, looks something like a cross between a Lamborghini and an armadillo with a jet-pack.
It cost millions to design and produce, and it actually works, its creators at Warner Bros. said.
"It has to get up to 220 mph to get airborne, but then it can jump 20, 30, maybe 40 feet," said Charles Roven, producer of the upcoming Batman movie.
Forty feet?
"We haven't filmed it jumping yet. That scene will be coming up in the next few weeks," Roven said.
Warner Bros. hired a 24-hour security detail to ensure the new Batmobile doesn't fall into the wrong hands, say those of the Penguin, Riddler or any of Gotham's real-life criminal masterminds.
Guard Frank Carbone wore a pinky ring and a scowl as he protected the Batmobile's powerful jet engine, radar-evading electric controls and oversized "super swamper" tires.
"It's much cooler than I expected," said Robert Emmer, 19, a student at the School of Visual Arts.
"It looks like a black toad," said Chris Tegeler, 38. "I'd like to see it jump something, maybe the Intrepid."
The upcoming Batman movie, called "Batman Begins," stars Christian Bale of "American Psycho" and will hit theaters next summer. The big-budget Warner Bros. flick examines Bruce Wayne's transformation into Batman after his parents are slain.
Studio execs said they weren't able to run live demonstrations yesterday because they had to drain the Batmobile's jet fuel for shipment.
Plus, said Warner Bros. President Dan Romanelli, "We might get a ticket. And I don't think it has air conditioning."

2004 marks the 20th Anniversary of KMFDM, proclaimed heralds of the Ultra Heavy Beat. For the past two decades, the archetypal cyber-rock band has defied tradition, unleashing albums progressively more nihilistic and aggressive than its predecessors. Last year, the band released its most formidable album to date, WWIII through Sanctuary Records, which REMIX Magazine deemed an all-out “electro-industrial assault”. Now, the label is proud to announce the release of WWIII Tour 2003 DVD & CD this Summer.
Recorded throughout their Autumn 2003 tour, the DVD & CD capture KMFDM at its most venomously entertaining. The Miami Herald acknowledged the tour as a “the virtual embodiment of raging industrial rock.” A visually stunning performance, KMFDM is renowned for its visceral live show as much as its unapologetic, innovative sound. Released on June 22nd, the DVD includes not only the white-knuckle concert performance, but a host of bonus features, culminating in more than three hours of mind-numbing KMFDM socio-politically charged entertainment. As The Pitch stated, “On stage, KMFDM is pure cyberpunk, serving up a futuristic visual extravaganza.”
The track listing for the DVD performance includes:
WWIII Revenge
From Here On Out Bullets Bomb Bigotry
Black Ball Light
Brute Juke Joint Jezebel
Stars and Stripes Intro
Pity For the Pious A Drug Against War
Moron
KMFDM ringleader Sascha Konietzko admits that this “new live material blows the old stuff completely out of the water.” Along with the potent live performance, the DVD offers numerous features that allow the viewer to glimpse the manic world of KMFDM, including After Show & Backstage footage, interviews with the band & crew, a tour photo slide show, a fan photo slide show, tour journal entries from the band & crew, KMFDM Horde fan club featurette, the animated Wild West Concert intro sequence, studio footage from the WWIII recording sessions, song lyrics, an interactive e-card, an electronic press kit, and a featurette allowing the viewer to embark on a whale-watching excursion with the band.
The CD counterpart to WWIII Tour 2003 is comprised of the same track listing as the DVD, but as a bonus, includes the exclusive track “Ultra”. The CD version will be released on July 27th.
With KMFDM, the work is never done, and thus they are soon embarking on a full world tour in further support of WWIII & the new live album/DVD. A warm-up US run will occur later in June. The dates include:
Saturday, June 19th Portland, OR Dante’s
Sunday, June 20th Ventura, CA Majestic Theater
Monday, June 21st Los Angeles, CA El Rey Theater
Tuesday, June 22nd Anaheim, CA House Of Blues
Wednesday, June 23rd San Francisco, CA DNA Lounge
Thursday, June 24th Sacramento, CA Empire Theater
Friday, June 25th Seattle, WA Fenix Underground
Thursday, July 1st Moscow, RUS Club Tochka
Friday, July 2nd St. Petersburg, RUS Port Club
Sunday, July 4th Berlin, GER Columbia Fritz
Monday, July 5th Hamburg, GER Grünspan
Tuesday, July 6th Frankfurt, GER Batschkapp
Thursday, July 8th London, UK Mean Fiddler
...and many, many more to be announced.
Following the tour, KMFDM is anticipated to return to the studio to begin crafting yet another psyche-invading electro-organic beast. To conclude with the words of Alternative Press Magazine: “KMFDM don’t just talk the talk; they’re in on the apocalypse.”

NEW YORK - Poor Adriana: Scuttling on all fours across dead leaves in a forest until Silvio, Tony Soprano's consigliere, popped her with two shots. That was Adriana's ghastly end on the most recent episode of "The Sopranos," underlining how business is business in a mob family — even for Ade, a terribly reluctant FBI informant whose own fiance, Soprano soldier Christopher Moltisanti, set in motion the hit Tony ordered.
"The Sopranos" airs its fifth-season finale Sunday at 9 p.m. EDT on HBO Then 10 more episodes in 2005 will close this magnificent saga.
Exactly what awaits Tony, his New Jersey mob and the family at home is known to only one man: series creator David Chase. But mounting evidence ensures that few, if any, of these characters will dodge some measure of damnation. Or deserve to.
Just consider their accelerating moral slide this season.
Early on, Tony (James Gandolfini welcomed back from prison his cousin Tony Blundetto (Steve Buscemi) who resolved to go straight, but quickly caved. Then, after joining the Soprano mob, he betrayed that cause, too, by settling a grudge against a member of another gang. "Tony B." has now put "Tony S." in the grim position of sacrificing him to appease New York boss Johnny Sack (Vince Curatola).
The season found Tony in turmoil over his separation from wife Carmela (Edie Falco), while their sulky teenage son, A.J. (Robert Iler), sank further into life as a hump. Spoiled daughter Meadow (Jamie-Lynn Discala) became engaged to Finn, a squeaky-clean fellow college student whose health has already been endangered by his ties to her.
And in the most recent episode, Tony made a successful bid to reconcile with Carmela, vowing that "my mid-life crisis problems will no longer intrude on you anymore." Dubbioso. Nonetheless, Carmela has reclaimed her place in his world just in time, it seems, to join him as he swirls down the drain.
Ever since the show's first episode, when he had a panic attack beside his swimming pool, Tony has lived on shaky ground. This season, viewers got new information why.
He's been plagued by guilt since missing the heist that sent Tony B. away for 15 years. And, worse, his absence wasn't from a mugging hours earlier that put him in the hospital, as he always claimed, but, shamefully, because he had a panic attack after an argument with his mother — then collapsed and cut his head.
He is still pained by memories of high school sports, which inspires one of the season's most touching moments: He tries to reason with Alzheimer's-afflicted Uncle Junior (Dominic Chianese), who keeps bringing up Tony's failures as a jock.
"Why does it gotta be something mean? Why can't you repeat something good?" Tony asks. "Don't you love me?"
And he discovers, to his shock, that his cherished childhood dog ended up in the home of his father's mistress and her kid, after his monstrous mother made his father get rid of it.
One measure of the greatness of "The Sopranos" is how Tony's increasingly stark image as a fiend is counterbalanced by these new revelations into what shaped the fiendishness.
From the beginning, Tony has wrestled with his tortured psyche in therapy sessions with Dr. Melfi (Lorraine Bracco). But during a memorable episode this year, his psyche was laid bare in a 21-minute dream sequence that, among other startling sights, found Tony in his living room astride the racehorse that last season perished in a fire. From the sofa, Carmela laid down a condition for his moving back home: "You can't have your horse in here."
This season, as usual, "The Sopranos" has been rich with violence and blood, and, even more, with brooding tension. But, as always, it's been funny, too.
Poor Adriana (Drea de Matteo), tormented by her status as a snitch! She fretted herself into a case of irritable bowel syndrome. Sad — but funny.
Meanwhile, not-so-wise-guy Paulie Walnuts (Tony Sirico) was good for an inadvertent howler, such as when he counseled Tony B. against doing business with Koreans: "Word to the wise: Remember Pearl Harbor!"
And maybe the funniest line of all came from serial screw-up Christopher (Michael Imperioli). Summoned by his Uncle Tony for a reaming, he came armed with excuses, but for the wrong offense: "This about the Easter baskets?"
"I don't even know what THAT is," Tony sighed. "And to tell you the truth, I don't want to know."
What is awaiting Tony this Sunday, and beyond, that he doesn't want to know? Viewers are itching to find out!

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Shock jock Howard Stern, given to frequent on-air fits of desperation and rage, said on Tuesday his radio days are "really numbered" with the abrupt resignation of his chief benefactor, Mel Karmazin, as president of Viacom Inc.
"He's my backup here," Stern lamented as he opened his nationally syndicated morning show lamenting the news that Karmazin, for whom Stern has worked for 18 years, was stepping down as Viacom president and chief operating officer. "This is definitely the nail in my coffin."
But a key executive at Viacom, newly named co-president Leslie Moonves, told reporters that he would do his best to keep Stern and other top radio talent.
Stern's radio show, syndicated by Viacom-owned Infinity Broadcasting, is currently carried on about 30 radio stations around the country.
It was Karmazin who rescued Stern's career by hiring him in the mid-1980s after the ribald radio host was fired by WNBC in New York and helped transform his show into a national broadcast sensation.
"If NBC was a concentration camp, then Mel was my Schindler," Stern told listeners, alluding to the German war profiteer who saved more than 1,100 Jews from the Nazis by employing them in his factory.
The man who brought "Lesbian Dial-a-Date" and "Stripper Jeopardy!" to radio also credits Karmazin with steadfastly defending his show against periodic attacks from federal regulators.
Even as Stern's show was dumped from six Clear Channel Communications stations earlier this year and Karmazin himself vowed to crack down on indecency, Stern was permitted to keep his program intact, though he has complained bitterly about more frequent bleeping of content.
It was hardly the first time that Stern has taken to the airwaves to forecast his own demise. The radio host has made similar gloom-and-doom statements in the midst of tough contract negotiations and during past feuds with the Federal Communications Commission .
Stern's agent, Don Buchwald, declined to comment on the current situation except to say, "Mel's been a loyal supporter for Howard for many years."
Stern said he first learned of Karmazin's departure from a voice message left by CBS Chairman and Chief Executive Leslie Moonves, who was named to the additional posts of co-president and co-COO of Viacom.
On his show last week, Stern predicted that Karmazin would leave Viacom, adding he would leave Infinity if Karmazin quit.
On Tuesday's show, he seemed to soften his stance, saying he was contractually bound to remain at Infinity for now.
Moonves told reporters one of his first tasks will be to patch up relationships with Stern and other Infinity talent. (Additional reporting by Kenneth Li and Brendan Intindola in New York)

Hey, here is a brief synopsis of our experience in Dallas.
On the morning of May 27 we arrived at a Holiday Inn in downtown Dallas Texas for our gig that night at Trees in Deep Elm. The parking situation was weird for our van and trailer, but we were instructed by the security guard at the hotel to check out the lot across the street, advised that it was safe. Waldo our road manager, checked it out, talked to a lot attendant who showed him a spot that was supposedly under surveillance.
When we woke after a few hours of sleep after driving all night we found the trailer broken into. All 6 of our guitars:,a white Gibson SG with a 666 sticker on it, 3 black Schecter c-1 ex baritone guitars, 2 Schecter s-1's (a black and a red) 2 Warwick basses (a natural finish and a black one), a kick drum with a Scorpio Rising cover art front skin, in case, a floor tom, a rack including an Alesis Adat machine with 4 Whirlwind direct boxes, 250 assorted Prong T-Shirts, and a box of 200 Scorpio Rising CD's, were stolen.
After consulting with a homeless dude in the vicinity I managed to get info on pawn shop in South Dallas were I was able to pay 100 bucks to recover one of the basses, the black Warwick.I then proceeded to get in a cab and check out a dozen or so other shops to no avail.
Having no other guitars other than the Schecters we were carrying in the back seat of the van for radio station promotion, we quickly restrung and set them up in the nick of time in the dressing room for the show at Trees. We pulled it off. We are now using supplemental guitars and basses sent immediately overnight kindly by Schecter.
Maybe if word gets out we can locate some of our loss.
