Blabbermouth reports:
NINE INCH NAILS have apparently set "With Teeth" as the title of their new album, tentatively due in March 2005. The follow-up to 1999's "The Fragile", which previously carried the working title of "Bleedthrough", is currently being mixed with Alan Moulder (THE CURE, SMASHING PUMPKINS) and the final track listing is being discussed and determined, according to a posting at the group's official web site. A photo taken during the mixing sessions on Thursday (Oct. 28) has been posted online at this location: www.nin.com/visuals/10-28-04.jpg
"With Teeth" was recorded in part at Sound City Studio in Van Nuys, Ca., and features a guest appearance on drums by former NIRVANA drummer/current FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl.
As previously reported, NIN mainman Trent Reznor called his collaboration with Grohl "one of the most inspiring and exciting experiences I've had in the studio," adding that Grohl helped the tracks "come alive in a 'better-than-I'd-even-hoped-for' type way."

"Over the last few months we’ve been mentioning 'Into The Void... With Ace Frehley' a few times before (and already back in early 2002 we mentioned the book in our KISS Kollector magazine), but every time the publication date got pushed back. Until now, as finally Pitbull Publishing www.pitbullpublishingllc.com/home.html in New York (the same publisher who brought us the 'KISS & Tell' books by Gordon Gebert) put out a 'limited first edition' of Wendy Moore's 220-page 'tell-all' book. Wendy was friends with Ace (and for a while even one of his girlfriends) for about two years — starting in February of 1998 and ending in March of 2000, around the time of the KISS Farewell Tour. If you're only into the music and/or image of KISS/Ace and don't wish to discover the man behind the rock star, this book is not your cup of tea — but if you want to learn about everything and anything that goes on in the professional and especially private life of one of your idols, than this book is a must have! You'll learn more about Ace Frehley than you ever imagined or wished for.
"When she was 28 years old, Wendy Moore (now 34) ran into Ace Frehley at the Key Club on Sunset Boulevard, where Ace was with Eric Singer (at that time the drummer for ALICE COOPER). It was Ace's first night in L.A., as he had been moved out temporary to the West Coast by KISS' management because the band had to record the album that would become 'Psycho Circus' and later on they would be rehearsing for the 'Psycho Circus' tour in LA. Ace and Wendy hit it off immediately and she ended up spending the night at Ace's temporary condo in the Westview Towers in West Hollywood. Wendy ended up hanging out with Ace (who hardly did anything else than lying on bed drinking beer or using drugs with his friends) for a few days and became his cleaning lady. Although Wendy had never done any drugs and hardly drank alcohol, she was easily pursuaded by Ace to do cocaine together with him. Long story short, Wendy as quickly became addicted to cocaine as she became Ace's Personal Assistent and girlfriend.
"The only times Ace would sort of clean up his act was when his daughter Monique, who was living with her mom (who still is Ace's wife, despite all of his girlfriends) in New York, came over to visit her dad for a few days every once in a while. Ace was doing cocaine and/or pills every day, and never seemed to travel anywhere without his coke. The only 'secret' on Ace that Wendy didn't want to reveal in her book, is how/where he hides his stash of coke while traveling. But other than that, you'll find a lot of dirt on Ace (and sometimes the rest of KISS, especially Gene) in 'Into The Void... With Ace Frehley'. While reading all the — mostly drug-induced — stories, you might wonder why Wendy Moore wanted to publish these tales from the private life of both Ace and herself, and share with the readers so many details of, for instance, their sex and drug life. On the other hand, if you really want to know everything about Ace Frehley, you probably don't want to put this book down until you've finished reading it from cover to cover. Throughout the book you'll also find a lot of (black and white) photos of Ace and Wendy — at home, at parties (including Gene's birthday party in '98 ), concerts, a KISS photo shoot, in a Las Vegas casino, etc. etc. — which gives you a pretty good idea too of what goes on in the real life of Ace Frehley.
"Like the 'KISS & Tell' and 'KISS & Tell More' books, some details of Ace's private life kind of make you feel embarrassed to be even reading it (like his insecurities in regards to his love life, or worse yet his sex toys), and if not that, then you just can't help but to think of Ace as a pathetic and sad junkie most of the time. And if you weren't already feeling for Paul and Gene to had to have been involved with Ace on a professional level, you surely will understand why they don't want to be working with Ace anymore after reading 'Into The Void... With Ace Frehley' (if you weren't already convinced of that after reading 'KISS & Tell', or the books by former KISS bodyguards Andre 'the Giant' Augustine and Michael 'Starman' Francis). A lot of Ace fans blame Paul and Gene for the fact that the original band isn't together anymore, but this book is prove (once again!) that it's impossible to work with Ace for a longer period of time (if for any period of time at all). Here's a man in his late 40s (at the time the book was written, now Ace is in his early 50s of course) who can't function without drugs and spends his days/nights using cocaine, pills and beer, who can't keep a relationship (neither with his wife nor his girlfriends), who turns his (or a girlfriend's) house into an incredible mess within only a few days, who never keeps a promise, who never shows up on time, who cheats on (girl)friends or band members, etc. etc.
"After a while you start feeling sorry for all the people he cheats on and fucks with, and at the same time you can't believe how someone like Wendy Moore didn't wake up earlier instead of hanging on to him for so long during all that shit. She went out of her way to support Ace and run many errands for him, but never ever did he show any appreciation for all she did. In fact, he often gave her a hard time when he couldn't find his drugs and accused her of stealing it. From a healthy woman, she turned into a skinny, sad junkie who went from a cocaine addiction to a heroin addiction while losing a lot of friends in the process. And Ace, of course, believed he was hiding his drug abuse for the outside world but always get very nervous when he accidentally ran into Gene or Paul at a rock club where he would always be high on coke or booze.
"The book also describes how paranoid both Ace and Wendy became because of all the drugs (this book might be a good educational tool to keep children, or anybody for that matter, staying away from drugs). And in between all the drug-related stories, you'll get a bit of an impression of how things within the KISS organisation are functioning as Wendy also joined Ace sometimes when he had to actually 'work' with KISS, being it a photoshoot, recording session, tour rehearsal, concert or party. Probably more than any other KISS (related) book, 'Into The Void... With Ace Frehley' shines a light on the inner band relationships. And believe you me, it's not all gold that glitters in the flashy rock business. You might not agree with Wendy's decision to publish these tabloid like private tales in a book for the entire world to read, but once you've read the book you can only conclude that you know quite a bit more about Ace Frehley (and KISS) than you ever thought you would. And you will definately understand why Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley have such a problem working with their original Spaceman. (As for Wendy Moore, she no longer speaks to Ace but is doing well again after being admitted to a drug-rehad treatment facility thanks to Musician's Assistance Program, which, according to Wendy, is an organiziation supported and partly funded by KISS)."

This is the design of the forthcoming CD by I LOVE RICH titled "The Year Of The Rich", and was created by Karlton for the band and AZ Media Relations.
As previously reported I LOVE RICH are now signed to a worldwide distribution deal with SONIC WAVE INTERNATIONAL. Click below for complete press release.
RICH$TORY Is Written: Chicago band I LOVE RICH Release third album and set to embark on "Make Out City Tour"
"Worlds Sexiest band or transvestite junkies the from Mars."
Though their credentials include having gone through more guitarist than KISS has and as Spinal Tap has drummers, and recorded "The Greatest Rock N Roll Album Of All Time", the true legacy of Rich is now about to begin with the release of "The Year Of The Rich", on Sonic Wave International. No it's not a story of the Dubya Bush era but more of a testament to the vocalist and self-proclaimed "Worlds Greatest Lover" that the band is named for.
Armed with new song titles such as. “If Loving Me is Wrong” (You Don't Wanna' be Right") and "Make Out City", "The Year Of The Rich" is poised to be the biggest return to glam rock since The Darkness, only ILR does it better, has done it longer and makes it a lot more fun than the European platinum selling band.
Formed by vocalist/bassist Rich (just Rich as in Cher and Madonna) and drummer extraordinaire Drew Blood, I Love Rich immediately took to the fans with a sound that was a unique blend of The Ramones, KISS and early 80's Hanoi Rocks. With songs that were catchy as well as kitschy, and an energetic stage show that is more 80's cock-rock than pop punk, ILR gathered a fan base that still follows them today and continues to grow. Since their debut on the scene, the bands music has been raved by press the world over. The band has gone on to open numerous shows for such notable national acts the likes of Nashville Pussy, Night Ranger, Pretty Boy Floyd, Electric Frankenstein, The Quadrajets, The Queers, Cheetah Chrome, Boris the Sprinkler, Sloppy Seonds, The Meatmen, The Murder Junkies, Antiseen and many others
"The Year Of The Rich", is the much anticipated follow up to 2001's "The Greatest Rock N Roll Album Of All Time" which followed the bands 1996's live debut "Live, Wet, Drippin' With Sweat", a 12-song collection supposedly recorded live in Cambodia and rumored to be the biggest selling cassette in that countries history. Upon the release of the album the first leg of the 2-year long "Make Out City Tour" will begin.
In the words of lead singer Rich , "We want to bring our rock everywhere it's wanted and quite frankly; probably to a few places that don't want it".

Superhero Hype attended the "Melbourne On Screen" event at the ACMI in which "Ghost Rider" director Mark Steven Johnson and producers Bennett Walsh and Gary Foster talked about the anticipated film:
"LA based company Imageworks was confirmed as the effects house for the production and the casting of Nic Cage was effectively confirmed, although apparently no official announcements have been made. Johnson stated that he will be keeping as faithful to the comic book concepts as possible, while trying to make the concept of a demonic character fighting evil more plausible within the logic of his story. To this end, he is approaching the Ghost Rider as a "Bounty hunter for the Devil", and he described the feel of the film as a modern day western with supernatural elements.
The story will feature the Johnny Blaze version of the Ghost Rider and will also feature Mephistopholes and Blackheart as villians, and was described as a "faustian" tale. It was confirmed that CG effects will be used for the Rider character (no surprise given the flaming skull). Costume-wise the look of the Rider will continue to develop over the course of the movie, so we'll get to see him in stunt-rider gear as well as the chains and spike look from the 90's comics version. The film will start filming in Melbourne on January 31 in locations around Melbourne and Broken Hill - including a stadium shoot - quite probably for one of Johnny Blaze's stunt shows. An 80 day shoot is planned.

The MK ULTRASOUND radio program, arrived on the air in April 1999 broadcasting out of Elgin, IL on 94.3 FM WJKL Rebel Radio before being syndicated nationwide less than a year later.
MK ULTRASOUND became an offspring of the critically acclaimed, independently published MK ULTRA Magazine, now titled MK Magazine, which Zander first published in 1995. The magazine's main focus is "dark" rock music, which had been given the gothic/industrial tag over the years, yet unlike other publications, MK Magazine has covered this genre with a sarcastic sense of humor, cleverly poking fun at the mainstream. The show featured Techno/Industrial rock music, exclusive recordings and in-studio interviews with various Industrial-geared rock music performers including guests from the bands Pigface, Sister Machine Gun, Ministry, Godhead, Electric Hellfire Club, Veruca Salt, Emeralde Fear, Chainsaw Johnny, Vampire and more. The station, which is headed by Scott Davidson, received the honor of Gavin's 1997 & 1998 ROCK STATION of the YEAR.
In September of 1999 host, Alex Zander, struck a deal with Loud Radio DJ and Program Director, Guy Giuliano, known to listeners as the G-Ster. The Chicago area produced went on the air in Sedona/Flagstaff, AZ on 101.1 FM KLOD Loud Radio, 88FM in Guam, DSL/Cable and overseas on SWRS in Europe. Loud Radio was at the time in the process of purchasing more radio properties and should have all of Phoenix and Tuscon by Y2K. Zander became familiar with the Loud Radio Network that May during a cross-country road trip. He knew when he woke up at 6 am while camping in the mountains of Flagstaff and hearing the station play Type O Negative and Rammstein that he had found a perfect outlet. The Loud Radio Network played MK ULTRASOUND from 9-10 PM on Sundays in the southwest.
So it became the MK ULTRASOUND Radio Network and when Loud Radio and was part of a radio merger into nationwide Syndication it took MK ULTRASOUND with it. Thus making it a nationally syndicated radio hour.
Shortly thereafter Zander dismissed original sidekick Chris Harris aka DJ ODD and teamed up with Mike "The Madman" Jakubow, as his co-host and associate producer to produce the program. It became a wild ride of mayhem from thereon. The chemistry between the two almost turned the show into a comedy hour with Zander playing the part of the "out of control rock maniac" and Jakubow as his "wise cracking straight man". Jakubow brought a new flavor to the show with spontaneous sound effects and samples catching his host off guard. The show remained syndicated nationwide through Spring of 2001.
Seemingly without warning late in 2000 Rebel Radios flagship station WJKL was sold and the rocking metal station moved to Northbrook IL onto 1240 and 1470 AM and MK ULTRA SOUND departed from Rebel. Through early 2001 MK ULTRASOUND remained on the LOUD RADIO until the network was acquired and disbanded in Spring of 2001.
In the end the show was broadcast by Zander and sidekick Phellon Bayle who now broadcasts the show online, and takes the old show into an all new realm.
Mike Jakubow is still a weekend DJ on Rebel Radio AM and works for Victory Records as a representative.

Gauge (www.ilovegauge.com) did a photo shoot for the next cover and centerfold of MK Magazine and she will be interviewed by editor in chief Alex Zander as she stays in Chicago this weekend.
Gauge appeared on Chicago's B 96.3 FM on Wednesday night, and he weeks at the Admiral theatre has been extended till Friday night.
Saturday night Gauge and her beau of 4 years Jason will join MK's Alex Zander, Greg Miner and Karlton at the annual Pimps And Ho's Ball which is going to be hosted by Seymour Butts.
The photo shoot was done by Karlton, who is now MK's Glamour Photographer.

The first picture of Johnny Depp playing wacky sweet boss Willy Wonka has gone up at British tabloid The Sun. The 41-year-old Depp wears a top hat and large dark glasses for his role in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" currently shooting at the famed Pinewood Studios.

Halloween is traditionally a night to get dressed up and have some fun, but this year the citizens of Chicago will get more than just the usual trick or treat. That's because Seymore Butts will be at this year's Pimp & Ho Ball held at Chicago's Transit nightclub on Saturday, October 30th, and he'll be co-hosting the event with Shane!
"While some people would like to think this is some sort of reunion after an extended period of time, Shane and I have actually remained in contact and friendly over the years," says Butts. "Although we haven't done anything like this, I'm comfortable with the idea and quite looking forward to it."
With 100 of the sexiest adult dancers in Chicago and tons of partygoers dressed in their pimp or ho best, the Pimp & Ho Ball promises to be the most decadent Halloween Party Chicago has ever seen! Advance tickets are available for $25 online at http://www.pimpandhochicago.com, while the remainder will be sold at the door for $35. Not only will Showtime be taping the event for an upcoming episode of the hit reality series "Family Business," but AVN will be giving away two trips for two to the AVN Awards, January 8th in Las Vegas!
And as is the tradition with the Pimp & Ho Ball, Butts - and his "ho" Mari Possa - will be decked out in the appropriate fashion.
Says Butts, "I think Scott Fayner called me the worst dressed guy in the industry, so I don't think what I'll be wearing to the ball will be any kind of a stretch."

There's no way anyone is going to believe the latest excuse for the lip sync caught on live TV. Maybe someday eveyone will see the pop music charade for exactly what it is. But I doubt it - AZ
This just might be an incident Ashlee Simpson will want to omit from her autobiography.
The raven-haired popster was caught in a Milli Vanilli-esque moment during her performance on Saturday Night Live over the weekend. Ashlee Simpson claimed a chronic gastric disorder was the cause of her lip-synching miscue on "Saturday Night Live" this past weekend. The singer said that acid reflux disease caused her to lose her voice and rely on a backing tape for her performance.
As Simpson bopped around onstage at the start of her second performance of the night, her voice launched into "Pieces of Me," the song she had already played earlier in the show. Strangely, her microphone was nowhere near her mouth...which was closed.
It's so embarrassing," Simpson said when she called in to "TRL" Monday (October 25), "because it sucks. The total situation was a bummer. I made a complete fool of myself."
Simpson said she suffers from a chronic condition of "severe" acid reflux disease — a condition in which the stomach's liquid content regurgitates into the esophagus — and that it began acting up at around 6 p.m. on Saturday, causing her to "completely [lose] my voice." Her doctor advised her not sing, stating that she would damage her voice, and her father and manager, Joe Simpson, insisted she take it easy by using a backing track, a common (if seldom acknowledged) concert aid that allows singers to either lip-synch to, or sing along with, a guide-vocal track. "My dad was like, 'I'm sorry, you have to sing along with the backing track,' " Simpson said Monday.
Though Simpson's first performance in the show — her hit "Pieces of Me" — went off without a hitch, the second, "Autobiography," was derailed when a pre-recorded track of her voice (singing "Pieces of Me") began playing while Simpson was holding her mic to the side and had her mouth closed. When the track came on, Simpson tried to dance a little jig instead, but after about 30 seconds, she exited the stage as her band continued performing. The show cut to a commercial.
At the end of the show, host Jude Law tried to help Simpson brush the moment aside by shrugging, "What can I say, folks? Live TV." For her part, Simpson initially placed the blame on her band. "I feel so bad," she told the audience. "My band started playing the wrong song. And I didn't know what to do, so I thought I'd do a hoe-down. I'm sorry. It's live TV. Things happen. I'm sorry."
Joe Simpson, Ashlee's father and manager, told Los Angeles radio station KIIS-FM, "Just like any artist in America, she has a backing track that she pushes so you don't have to hear her croak through a song on national television. No one wants to hear that. Every artist that I know in this business has had vocal problems at some time, from Celine [Dion] on down. So you've got to do what you've got to do."
Ashlee said that she wasn't happy with the decision to use a backing track, and emphasized that it's not something she normally relies upon. She's performed live on television on previous occasions, including MTV News' pre-show to the Video Music Awards, "By the Shore," and the Teen Choice Awards. And in fact, Simpson had rehearsed "Autobiography" live on Thursday (see "Ashlee Simpson Preparing To Take On Tara Reid").
"I was so upset," she said, "because I have never done that before. But my voice wasn't strong enough. I couldn't even speak."
During the show, a further mishap made the backing track obvious to everyone when, according to her record label, a "computer glitch" triggered "a cut from her album" to play instead of a drum cue. Simpson placed the blame a little more squarely on her drummer, saying he was the one who "pressed the wrong button."
"I didn't know what to do," she said. "I just froze. My band kept playing the song, like they were always told [to do]. We all went into a state of shock. 'Omigod, what do I do?' So I did the hoe-down and then I ran off."
Simpson has since been widely attacked for the snafu, with an interview she gave to Lucky magazine coming back to haunt her. When asked what her take on lip-synching was, she had told the magazine, "I'm totally against it and offended by it. I'm going to let my real talent show, not just stand there and dance around. Personally, I'd never lip-synch. It's just not me."
Simpson's official Web site has been flooded with more than 12,000 posts, many of them negative. Initially, it appeared that Simpson was responding to the posts — blaming her hectic work schedule for wearing down her voice — but a spokesperson has since claimed that the posts were not written by the singer.
To make sure a similar snafu doesn't happen again when she performs live on Monday for the Radio Music Awards in Las Vegas, Simpson said she got a cortisone shot in her lower back "and I'm much better."
"I hope I get a chance [to return to 'SNL']," she added. "My voice is so much better now. Sorry about that."
The Radio Music Awards in Las Vegas are to be broadcast live on NBC at 9 p.m.

SCUM OF THE EARTH, the new band formed by ex-ROB ZOMBIE guitarist Riggs, will embark on a nationwide tour supporting their Eclipse Records debut, "Blah…Blah…Blah…Love Songs for the New Millennium". The tour will commence October 26, the very day the albums drops, canvas most of the U.S. and venture into Canada. Riggs recorded "Blah…" with an all-star cast of friends including drummer John Tempesta (WHITE ZOMBIE, ROB ZOMBIE) and his brother Mike Tempesta (guitar, POWERMAN 5000) — marking the first time the brothers have played together on record — SYSTEM OF A DOWN drummer John Dolmayan, as well as Clay Others (bass) and more. On tour, Riggs will be flanked by ADEMA guitarist Ransom, POWERMAN 5000 drummer Adrian Ost and others.
"We're trotting out the scummier side of the SCUM family," Riggs said in a statement. "Lock up your daughters and small animals."
"Blah…Blah…Blah…Love Songs for the New Millennium" was was written by Riggs with collaborative help from his friends and recorded at Belt of Orion Studios in Los Angeles. Riggs produced the record, which was mixed by Frank Gryner (ROB ZOMBIE, A PERFECT CIRCLE) and Brandon Belski (VELVET REVOLVER, STAIND, STATIC-X).
In addition, SCUM OF THE EARTH has lensed a video for the single "Get Your Dead On" with director Rob Prior ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer"), based on his upcoming film "Shadow Walker", currently in pre-production. The unique horror film's main character will be the basis for the clip which, in an unprecedented move, will introduce the mythology of the Shadow Walker villain before its appearance in a film, comic book, or video game (each is scheduled for release next year). Prior conceived the Shadow Walker, a violent creature from New Zealand folklore that moves only within darkness, with groundbreaking comic book writer Paul Jenkins ("Origin: The True Story of Wolverine", "Spider-Man: Return of the Goblin", "The Incredible Hulk", "Darkness: Resurrection"). Prior, a renowned master of photorealistic comic book art (he crafted the creatures for the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel"), designed the Shadowalker.

It isn't easy being a Ramone.
With three of the bandmembers dead (Joey, Dee Dee and now Johnny), the remaining members are left to carry on a legacy that doesn't completely include them, since only one (drummer Tommy) was an original member. Still, Marky Ramone, who took over on drums after Tommy's departure and played with the band longer than any other non-original member, is doing his best to carry on for the band — mainly with a DVD he's put together about the group, called "Raw." And it couldn't have come out at a better time, Marky said. "Raw" is the happier-days antidote to all the obituaries of the last three years — and to the recent rumors about how the bandmembers actually hated one another.
"Contrary to what a lot of people thought, it wasn't just infighting. There were good times too," said Marky (real name Marc Bell). "And I'm grateful to have been in a band like that."
During the last eight or nine years he spent touring with the Ramones, Marky carried a Hi-8 camera with him everywhere he went, and he shot a ton of behind-the-scenes footage. He said that at the time, he hadn't been thinking about releasing it one day — it just seemed like a natural and non-intrusive way to document the band. "They weren't playing up to the camera or anything," Marky said. "And I had no commercial thoughts at all. I just thought I might give [the footage] to them as gifts one day. It just seemed like a good idea."
In all, Marky shot around 200 two-hour tapes. Eventually, over the course of nine months, he and director John Cafiero whittled the footage down to five hours. Then, in May, Marky brought Johnny Ramone in to work on the commentary track.
"He went to the studio, he watched it and then he made his comments," Marky said. "It was very simple. He didn't want to watch all the footage before the finished version. He wanted his reaction to be fresh on the first viewing. And he'd get so focused, going over those memories. I think he really enjoyed it."
Johnny's prostate cancer was taking a heavy toll on him by that time. "I'm amazed he had the energy to do this," Marky said. "And I'm grateful that he did this. I'm also grateful that I was able to give him something back, that it gave him a chance to relive those memories. And he gave us a huge compliment. He said this was exactly the way he remembered it, too."
Once Marky saw the condition Johnny was in, he decided that if anyone asked him about the guitarist's health, he would tell them the truth — that he thought Johnny was dying. That decision didn't make Marky very popular in the Ramones' circles, and it made Johnny's wife, Linda, very angry at the time.
"I got some flak for it," Marky said. "But it was the truth, and I felt a responsibility to say something. I wasn't being vicious. I was just trying to set the record straight. Some people were happy I told the truth. Johnny was OK with it, but his wife was a little upset. But it came from a positive place on my end, and we all made amends."
Marky says that "Raw" — as opposed to another Ramones doc called "End of the Century" — is (inevitably) from a more positive place. "End of the Century" directors Michael Gramaglia and Jim Fields focused on the dysfunction within the band, most memorably with a harsh scene in which Johnny explains why he never contacted Joey after the band's 1996 breakup — even when the singer was on his deathbed ("If I didn't like someone, I wouldn't want them calling me up if I was dying," he said). In addition, Marky said, "End of the Century" doesn't really capture the band the way the members remembered it themselves — or at least the way Marky does.
"It's good," he allowed. "It's a decent job, and everyone should go see it. But it's a straight-up documentary. 'Raw' is also true-life events, but it's more [our] experience of them. You're witnessing it with us versus looking at it after the fact. It's the closest to us that you can get."

Zack Snyder, director of the horror remake Dawn of the Dead, told SCI FI Wire that the upcoming DVD release will restore several scenes that were cut from the theatrical version. "The scenes are what we probably screened the first time for the studio before we cut the movie down," Snyder said. "[The cuts] had a lot to with the length and the running time. They always wanted the movie shorter. We went back, and they were like, 'You're going to get to do a director's cut. What do you want to put back in the movie?'"
The unrated director's cut DVD includes additional scenes with the group as they enter the mall, as well as an extra sequence in which a rescue team explodes a propane tank to escape Andy's gun shop. Snyder said that recutting the movie was more than a matter of simply restoring excised moments from several scenes. "I hoped that the movie as a whole would be a little bit more cohesive," Snyder said. "It was more of a matter of reassembling the movie. I ended up with the movie that they got into theaters, and that's why I put back in [scenes like] leaving Andy's. It was just stuff that I felt needed to be in the movie."
The Universal Studios Home Video DVD also includes extended versions of scenes that involve cameo performances from cast members of the original Dawn of the Dead. Snyder said it was important to restore their appearances for the director's cut. "When you're talking about what can go to make the movie shorter, [the studio] calls them extra, but I think they're important," Snyder said. "You're talking about the meat of the movie, but they're like, 'OK, what if we cut from here?' Those things aren't as important to them as they are to our fans or me." Dawn of the Dead: The Unrated Director's Cut DVD hits stores on Oct. 26. Universal Studios Home Video is owned by NBC Universal, which also owns SCIFI.COM.

(NEW YORK) — Singer Ashlee Simpson's "extra help" may have been exposed when a "Saturday Night Live" audience heard her voice singing the wrong song while she held a microphone at her waist.
Her record company blamed a computer glitch and she blamed her band for Sunday morning's incident, which cut off her planned performance of the song "Autobiography" on the network comedy show.
Simpson had performed her hit single "Pieces of Me" without incident earlier in the show. When she came back a second time, her band started playing and the first lines of her singing "Pieces of Me" could be heard again.
She looked momentarily confused as the band plowed ahead with the song and the vocal was quickly silenced.
Simpson made some exaggerated hopping dance moves, then walked off the stage 35 seconds into the performance. NBC quickly cut to a commercial.
"What can I say?" guest host Jude Law said with Simpson standing next to him at the end of the show. "Live TV."
"Exactly," Simpson said. "I feel so bad. My band started playing the wrong song. I didn't know what to do so I thought I'd do a hoe-down."
Her record company, Geffen Records, said there was a computer glitch. Instead of some pretaped electronic percussion, the recording of "Pieces of Me" started mistakenly performing, the record company said in a statement.
But it sounded suspiciously like a guide vocal that's a common although almost always unspoken concert aid. Either the singer "lip synchs" by mouthing words to a backing tape or has a live microphone and sings along to the tape, making the voice sound more powerful than it is.
Such vocal tricks have been used before on the show, making "Saturday Night Live" not entirely live, said a show insider who spoke on condition of anonymity.
A Geffen spokeswoman did not immediately return a call for comment.
Simpson's walk-off joins the lore of other unexpected music moments on "SNL": Elvis Costello stopping and changing songs on live TV, and Sinead O'Connor tearing up a picture of the pope.

You've waited and now the wait is OVER mofo's.

Ozzy Osbourne's Bible
New 4-CD box set drops on February 8th, 2005.
October 20, 2004 - The first quarter of 2005 will kick off with a bang when Ozzy Osbourne drops his 4-disc box set entitled The Bible of Ozz on February 8th.
The 52-song set chronicles Ozzy's career via his biggest hits and most memorable collaborations, but the clincher is that the fourth disc of the collection features 10 newly recorded versions of his favorite songs by other artists. This means that Ozzy fans can here the madman's very own renditions of classics by the Rolling Stones, Mountain, Mott The Hoople, King Crimson, and others.
The Bible Of Ozz box set will be packaged in a weathered, collectable gothic book with new images of Ozzy taken by famed British photographer/artist Sam Taylor Wood. It will be packaged with a 60-page booklet that contains a complete career overview and rare Ozzy photos.
The first two discs in the set will encompass re-mastered versions of Ozzy's most popular solo smash hits. The third disc (which is entitled Oddities and Duets) is comprised of some of Ozzy's most unusual collaborations. NEW YORK (AP) - After his outburst on CNN's "Crossfire," "Daily Show" host Jon Stewart will have a few words for "60 Minutes." The comedian will be profiled on this Sunday's broadcast of the CBS news program. Though taped before Stewart's harsh comments of "Crossfire" and one its hosts, Tucker Carlson, he did have the subject of TV news on his mind.
You know ... what has become rewarded in political discourse is the extremity of viewpoint," Stewart says on the show. "People like the conflict. Conflict baby! It sells. Crossfire! Hardball! Shut up! You shut up!"
While many have questioned the veracity of the Fox News slogan "Fair and Balanced," Stewart thinks that frustration deserves to be leveled elsewhere as well.
"Well, CNN says, 'You can depend on CNN.' Guess what? I watch CNN. No, you can't!"
Otherwise, Stewart is mostly full of jokes. "Here's what I wonder about Dick Cheney, and the reason that maybe they keep him only in loyalty-oath audiences: If he becomes angry, I do believe he turns into the Hulk."
"60 Minutes" airs on CBS Sunday at 7 p.m. (ET/PT).

THE DOORS OF THE 21ST CENTURY, featuring former THE CULT singer Ian Astbury, are prepping a live DVD, according to Launch Radio Networks. It was recorded in Japan when the band played there in early August of 2003, and it was originally shown on MTV there. The group performed in Osaka one day and Tokyo the next, doing similar 12-song sets including hits like "Roadhouse Blues", "Break On Through", "When The Music's Over", "Love Me Two Times", "Alabama Song/Back Door Man/Five To One", "L.A. Woman", and "Light My Fire". It was all part of the Summer Sonic Festival. Neither a release date nor a tracklisting has been announced — just that this DVD is on the way.

VAN NUYS, Calif. - Digital Playground won two out of the three categories reserved for Americans at the Eighth Annual International Venus Fair awards show held in Berlin tonight.
Digital Playground’s exclusive Jesse Jane won in the Best Actress – USA category, and the company’s contract director Robby D was named Best Director – USA.
Elegant Angel’s film Compulsion won in the Best Movie – USA, category.
Samantha Lewis, president of Digital Playground, was ecstatic that her company had achieved such recognition at one of Europe’s largest Adult events. “I’m excited. This is just fantastic,” Lewis told AVN.com, just moments after she received a text-message from her partner Joone announcing the awards.
"We were a worried about the Best Actress award because Jesse was facing some tough competition," Lewis admitted, noting that Jenna Jameson, Carmen Luvana, and Jewel De'Nyle were also nominated for the award that Jesse Jane received.
Robby D shoots one feature a month for Digital Playground, but is perhaps best known for his work on Digital Playground's critically acclaimed episodic Adult comedy series Jack’s Playground.
“Jack’s Playground is kicking butt over there [Europe]. It was a little bit different than what we normally do, but its done very well,” Lewis said.
Venus awards are unique in the way that directors, performers, and titles from the same country compete for honors, while also remaining eligible for the European category and the International category.
For instance, a French performer can be nominated in the Best New Starlet – France category for a role she performed in a movie that has been nominated in both the Best Movie – Germany category and in the Best Movie – Europe category.
That’s exactly the case for Private’s Millionaire, a mega-budget feature that is nominated for 16 awards – in various categories from Germany, France, Italy, Hungary and Europe. The feature is nominated in both Best Movie – Germany and Best Movie – Europe categories.

LONDON - "Star Trek" star William Shatner and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Dave Navarro are among thousands of people who want to fly on Virgin's proposed commercial space flights, company chief Richard Branson said Friday.
Branson said more than 7,000 people had registered their willingness to pay the $210,000 fare for the service, which promises to send passengers 70 miles above the Earth.
Speaking from California's Mojave desert, Branson told Britain's Press Association news agency there had been "tremendous take-up" of the idea since he announced it last month.
"We are extremely pleased because it just means in a sense that the gamble we took seems to have paid off," he said.
Branson, 54, said he had committed $110 million toward spaceships and ground infrastructure for the new service, Virgin Galactic. He also plans to spend up to 14 million pounds $26 million to license the technology of SpaceShipOne, the rocket-plane that made two successful suborbital space flights earlier this month to capture the US$10 million Ansari X Prize.
Virgin hoped to offer flights — lasting about 3 1/2 hours including six minutes of weightlessness — by 2008.
Branson said he would go on the first flight, along with family members including his father, now 86.
"My dad has put his hand up and will be 90 at the time, my kids definitely want to come and if there is room for my mum she will come as well," Branson told PA.
But he said his wife Joan "will have her feet firmly on the ground, I suspect, trying to encourage the kids to stay on the ground."
Branson is one of Britain's best known and most colorful entrepreneurs. His Virgin Group began as a record label, and now sells everything from soft drinks to bridal gowns, and even runs a train service and mobile phone network.

Comic books have been a cash cow for Hollywood for years. Now Tinseltown is repaying the favor.
Hoping to capitalize on the success of several popular comic-book films, including the Spider-Man and X-Men franchises, Marvel Comics is revamping its Avengers comic book to feature heroes who successfully crossed over to the big screen.
Gone from the team are Wasp, Hank Pym and She-Hulk. New cast members, featured here in an exclusive look at the alternative cover to the first edition of the New Avengers, include Spider-Man, Wolverine, Luke Cage, Spider-Woman and Sentry. A "mystery member" is also on the team, but he won't be identified for several issues. Suffice to say he's a Marvel favorite, a Hollywood hit, and the item in his hands is a big clue.
The only holdovers are Captain America and Iron Man, both of whom are favorites of Hollywood: Scripts are being written for both characters.
But don't look for an Avengers film anytime soon, comic book author Brian Bendis says. "We own all the comic-book characters, but different studios own their film rights. An Avengers movie would cost $700 million.

IGN FilmForce has learned that screenwriter David Hayter's latest draft of Iron Man has won over New Line Cinema and the studio is immediately going out with it to directors who can get the film up and running by early 2005!
Sources advised IGNFF that this draft of Iron Man is very Tom Clancy-esque in tone and involves the conflict between Tony Stark and his father Howard over Stark Industries. The Armored Avenger's origin has been updated from the Vietnam back story used in the comics.
Actors like Tom Cruise and Nicolas Cage have been mentioned for the project over the years but with Cruise now busy doing War of the Worlds and Cage prepping for Ghost Rider, New Line has several other movie stars in mind.
Iron Man is produced by Avi Arad and Kevin Feige of Marvel Studios, who are currently on the set of Fantastic Four in Vancouver, and Don Murphy of Angryfilms, who is also busy with DreamWorks/Paramount's live-action feature version of The Transformers, which is slated for a summer 2006 release.
Look to IGN FilmForce for more Iron Man news as it happens!

Not much there now, but a trailer is on the way. Keep your eyes peeled!

Despite being the bestselling book in the country, Jon Stewart's America doesn't appeal to the average Wal-Mart customer.
At least that's what the minds behind the retail behemoth have chosen to believe.
The chain canceled its order for the book after learning that page 99 features a doctored photo of nine naked bodies with the heads of the Supreme Court justices attached.
The book also contains cutout robes, and encourages the reader to "restore their dignity by matching each justice with his or her respective robe."
But Wal-Mart execs felt that the shock of full frontal nudity might be too much for the unsuspecting shopper's eyes.
"We felt a majority of our customers would not be comfortable with the image in our stores," Wal-Mart spokeswomen Karen Burk told the New York Daily News.
America was still available at Walmart.com at 45 percent off the $24.95 list price. "[W]e still wanted to give [customers] the option of buying it from Walmart.com," Burk explained.
Burk did not return E! Online's repeated calls for comment.
Stewart's spoof of a textbook (full title: America (The Book): A Citizen's Guide to Democracy Inaction) has ranked number one on numerous bestseller lists for two consecutive weeks.
Jamie Raab, a publisher for Warner Books, producer of America, said she was "disappointed" in the store's choice not to stock the tome.
"They're within their rights, but I think it's best to let the customer decide," Raab told USA Today.
Co-author and Daily Show executive producer Ben Karlin was also miffed by Wal-Mart's decision.
"We even have an American flag on the cover," Karlin griped to the Daily News.
The chain has a history of doing away with products it deems offensive. Blacklisted items include Maxim magazine and any albums with sexually explicit or violent lyrics. A pregnant doll was yanked from the shelves in 2002; Sheryl Crow's self-titled album got the boot in 1996 because of a song that suggested Wal-Mart sells guns to children.
Raab said she didn't think that Wal-Mart's decision would hurt America's sales. The book, which is promoted on The Daily Show is "selling itself," she told USA Today.
Stewart has enjoyed more attention than usual this week since his appearance last Friday on CNN's Crossfire, when he got into a well-documented exchange with conservative host, Tucker Carlson.
Carlson, frustrated by Stewart's serious attitude on the show, remarked that the comedian was "more fun" on his own show.
"I think you're as much of a dick on your show as on any other," Stewart replied.
We're guessing that kind of language isn't Wal-Mart appropriate either.

In a bizarre casting rumor, Yahoo!'s U.K. site reported that Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp has persuaded Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards to join the cast of the sequel films. Depp has previously said he based his quirky performance as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl in part on Richards. Now, Richards has agreed to play Sparrow's father in both of the hit movie's forthcoming sequels, which will be shot simultaneously, the site reported.
Richards has reportedly already had a costume fitting in preparation for filming, which is due to start at the end of February and could continue for 11 months.

South Florida Sun-Sentinel Reports:
Former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson has banned her ex-husband Tommy Lee from his bringing his porn-star girlfriend near her children.
The actress is disgusted at her former husband's hot dates with blonde porn queen Jesse Jane -- who at only 24-years-old is a veteran of more than 40 adult films.
Anderson, who recently has been reading Bible lessons at the Sunday school where she takes sons Brandon, eight, and Dylan, six, has warned their 42-year-old rocker dad, "Don't bring your new girlfriend when you visit our kids."
"Pammie may have posed nude many times but she doesn't want the children anywhere near an out-and-out porn star," a friend of Anderson said.
Fayner Says: First off, I must say it's quite faggy to name your kids after the two stars of Beverly Hills, 90210. I mean, Dylan was cool 'cause he did smack and rode a motorcycle and read Kerouac and Salinger, but Brandon's hair sucked and he was too much of a goody-goody. I wonder if it was on purpose...
I'm thinking the article made a mistake with the number of flicks Jesse has done, I looked and it's like 11 or 12, depending on the shape of your vision. I saw 12.
Pam's a fucking slut and should not be judging anyone for doing porn and hanging around their kids. I know Jesse a little, and I'd rather have her watching the kids than Tommy who's quite known for being somewhat of a kid himself. Hell of a fucking drummer though....
AZ sez: Scott Fayner got the joke that I did when sPamela named those kids. I've been saying that for years. I'm relieved to know someone else out there agreess. And YES it's true, JJ has done a lot less films than South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.

10/19/2004 - Pam Anderson Drama
well this morning I found out on the Ryan Seacrest show that Pam threatened Tommy saying he cant see the kids while dating me because Im a porn star.Apparently its all over websites. What I dont understand is why its a problem now since she knew weve been dating for months. Is it because of Kid Rock now who knows.I had great times with Tommy and the kids.I would never bring anything adult oriented around kids.Plus she does nude stuff, and lets not forget her infamous video. If she didnt want it out when it was stolen, she wouldve prevented the sales instead of signing a deal to continue sales. So dont worry Im not seeing Tommy anymore Ive moved on,and Im sorry you feel that way.You would think people wouldnt be so closed mindef especially since"he technically has done the same thing. By the way whoever said I did forty movies, you are fucking retartedIve done ten.Learn how to count dumbass.

Pierce Brosnan confirmed to the Toronto Sun newspaper that he did not quit his most famous role as agent James Bond: He was fired. And there is no going back, he told the newspaper. "It's over. It's over. It's absolutely over," Brosnan said.
Brosnan said that he was willing and eager to do a fifth and final Bond, adding that 007 producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson had asked him to return, although no contracts were signed. Brosnan's last Bond movie, Die Another Day in 2002, was the 20th official installment in the franchise, which started with Sean Connery in Dr. No in 1962, the newspaper reported.
"They invited me back right before I went to present that film, before I went on the road with Halle Berry to sell the movie," Brosnan said. "They said: 'We're so happy with the success. We want you to come back!' I went on the road a happy man, you know? I thought we'd get a fifth and no more. That would be it, really. I'd done it. You get bored. You get older. You give of yourself to something and then you have no more to give. But I thought a fifth would be good. And then one day the phone rang—I was here [in Nassau, Bahamas, shooting After the Sunset]—and my agents told me that the goalposts had moved and that they had changed their minds."
Brosnan added, "It's very hard to find the truth in that town [Hollywood] or in this business at times. But it was their prerogative to change their minds. They can do it." And they might have done it "to go younger," Brosnan added. "It was disappointing. It was surprising. And I accepted the knowledge after 24 hours of being in shock.

You've heard the hilarious, psychedelic covers of Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds and Mr. Tambourine Man. You've heard his lounge-lizard act on those Priceline.com TV ads. And you've heard ... his ... halting ... delivery ... on a million Star Trek reruns.
Now you can hear it all at once. On Has Been -- his first album since 1968's awesomely awful Transformed Man -- William Shatner adds another thick slice of cheese to the giant ham sandwich of his career. While piano-pop wiseacre Ben Folds (who recruited Shatner for his 1999 Fear of Pop album) tickles the ivories, the 73-year-old blathers away as only he can, ruminating on mortality (on the gospel-flavoured You'll Have Time), fear (on the lounge-pop of It Hasn't Happened Yet), fame (on the spaghetti Western title cut), love (on the Bacharachish Together) and even the 1999 drowning death of his third wife (on the disturbing What Have You Done).
He and Folds don't do it alone -- Joe Jackson helps out on a rocking cover of Pulp's Common People, Henry Rollins trades quips on the curmudgeonly rant I Can't Get Behind That, and guitarists like Adrian Belew and The Posies' Jon Auer help with some of the heavy musical lifting.
Sure, sometimes it's hard to decide whether they're all laughing with Shatner or at him. But if he's a joke, at least he's in on it.

1. Common People (featuring Joe Jackson)
2. It Hasn't Happened Yet
3. You'll Have Time

A private voter-registration organization with offices in several key battleground states has been accused of misrepresentation, tearing up registration forms filled out by Democrats, and misleading potential voters to register as Republicans.
Voters Outreach of America — an organization reportedly run by Nathan Sproul, the former head of the Arizona Republican Party — has run registration drives in Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, Florida and Nevada. These registration drives are often run under the name "America Votes," which is a problem, since America Votes is an actual nonpartisan political organization.
"Voters Outreach is not in any way, shape or form associated with us. They called themselves America Votes when they were registering voters," said Carrie Sandstedt, the Nevada director of America Votes. "We've actually sent out a letter to Sproul & Associates [Sproul's Arizona-based political consulting firm] asking them to stop calling themselves America Votes."
The letter, written by America Votes President Cecile Richards, accuses Sproul & Associates of running a registration drive in Nevada under the name "Voters Outreach for America (a.k.a. 'America Votes')" and of "destroying registration forms completed by Democrats." In Nevada, Sproul & Associates employed as many as 300 part-time workers to register voters outside of malls, grocery stores and government buildings. One employee said he witnessed a supervisor rip up and throw away registration forms filled out by Democrats.
"We caught her taking Democrats out of my pile, she handed them to her assistant, and he ripped them up right in front of us," former Voters Outreach of America employee Eric Russell told Las Vegas CBS affiliate KLAS-TV. "I grabbed some of them out of the garbage and she tells her assistant to get those from me."
In West Virginia, Lisa Bragg, a temporary worker hired by Sproul & Associates through a personnel service, told The Charleston Gazette that she felt her employers were "misleading the public."
She explained that she was hired to approach customers at One Stop convenience stores and ask them if they favored George W. Bush or John Kerry for president. If the answer was Bush, she was told to inquire if the person was registered to vote and to offer them a voter registration card. If the answer was Kerry, then she was told to thank the person for their time and not to offer a registration card unless asked specifically.
"Is that the way it has to be?" Bragg said. "People have to be sneaky for $9 an hour?"
Nathan Sproul did not return phone calls by press time. However, when a reporter for The Mail Tribune in Jackson County, Oregon, was investigating a claim by a librarian that Sproul & Associates had contacted her claiming they were working for Vote America and wanted to set up a registration booth in the library, Sproul denied that his organization meant any harm when it chose the name Vote America.
"You telling me that they even exist was really the first time I'd heard it," Sproul said. "If they even just pick up the phone and call ... we would change it in a heartbeat."
Sproul went on to say he was just trying to get more people registered to vote, and was not promoting any issue, candidate or party.

Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have returned to the franchise which helped make their careers - 1998's "The Mask of Zorro" - by shooting the sequel in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, through December.
USA Today reveals that in "The Legend of Zorro" directed by Martin Campbell ("Goldeneye", "The Mask of Zorro"), dashing Alejandro and sultry Elena are married and have a 10-year-old son, Joaquin (Adrian Alonso), who knows nothing of his dad's secret swashbuckling identity.
Besides, the missus would be thrilled if Mr. Z kept his sword sheathed once and for all. But when greedy villains threaten to halt California's statehood, it's Zorro to the rescue once again.
Zeta-Jones insist their character's passion is still flaming - "Being married has only enhanced their feelings for each other". The actress has to retrain a bit for her swordfighting skills. The paper also has the first picture from the movie seen above right.

Warner Bros. Pictures has updated the official Batman Begins website batmanbegins.warnerbros.com with three new images from the Christopher Nolan-directed adaptation hitting theaters June 17.
At the site you can check out Ken Watanabe as the villainous Ra's Al Ghul, Linus Roache as Dr. Thomas Wayne (aka Bruce Wayne's father), and Tom Wilkinson as Carmine Falcone.
The movie explores the origins of the Batman legend and the Dark Knight's emergence as a force for good in Gotham. Christian Bale stars as Bruce Wayne/Batman; Michael Caine as his trusted butler Alfred; Gary Oldman as Lieutenant James Gordon, a detective on the Gotham police force; Katie Holmes as a childhood friend of Wayne's; Liam Neeson as Wayne's mentor, Henri Ducard; and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, a former board member and sidelined employee of Wayne Enterprises.
Christian Bale, who stars in the upcoming comic-book movie Batman Begins, told SCI FI Wire that he shot early scenes in Iceland, which was a cold, lonely experience. "We were in a little wooden hotel with miles of nothing on either side," Bale said in an interview. "I would go running, and there was nothing but these incredible glaciers. It's an amazing country, the actual structures, the mountains, the sea and how rough the whole place is."
Bale, who plays Bruce Wayne and his alter ego, Batman, said that the environment provided some unique opportunities for the production, as well as some unique hazards. "These really beautiful glaciers were this incredible blue color, and we were filming a scene where we had to get out there and run around on it," Bale said. "We were out there, and it was splitting as we were on it. There were big cracks appearing down it, and we all had to stand still and not break it. By the next day there was all this water again. It was a very nice, enjoyable beginning to Batman, because it was something very different from what I think traditionally making a movie like that would have been."
Batman Begins is the fifth film in the Warner Brothers franchise, based on the venerable DC Comics series. Bale said that he feels that he brought something fresh to the caped crusader, who has been played by actors from Michael Keaton to George Clooney. "Often you hear actors saying that, and you're like, 'I'm going to check that out.' And you look at it and go, 'What did you really do? Is there anything different there?'" he said. "I do feel that, but we're going to have to wait and see if I managed it. If I didn't, then there'll be someone else in there for number two, if it ever happens." Batman Begins is scheduled for release June 17, 2005.

NEW YORK -- Top-ranked shock jock Howard Stern said Wednesday that he will abandon his syndicated morning radio show to join Sirius satellite radio in 15 months, freeing him from government regulators and allowing him to "bring my fans my show my way."
"I've decided what my future is," Stern told his millions of listeners in announcing his five-year, multimillion-dollar contract. "It's not this kind of radio any more."
Stern, who battled for years with the FCC and the religious rights over his salacious show's content, will move to the national distributor of commercial-free music and sport programming when his contract with Infinity Broadcasting expires in 15 months. The deal will allow him to reach every market in the country.
"I'm tired of the censorship," said Stern, whose show was dropped by media conglomerate Clear Channel Communications in April after the Federal Communications Commission proposed a $495,000 fine against it for comments made by Stern.
"The FCC ... has stopped me from doing business," Stern said. "Clear Channel, you (expletives), I will bury you."
Like cable television, satellite radio is not subject to federal indecency scrutiny because it is available only to paid subscribers.
Stern's show, corners the radio market among males 18-49 years of age and ranks No. 1 in many of the 46 major markets where his show is broadcast.
"It has been my dream to have the top-rated show in radio since I was five years old," Stern said in a statement. "Sirius -- the future of radio -- will take this dream to a whole new level as I bring my fans my show my way. It will be the best radio they will ever hear."
Sirius CEO Joseph P. Clayton called Stern "an entertainment force of unprecedented recognition and popularity in the broadcast world." Both Clayton and Stern predicted the shock jock will change the face of satellite radio and boost listenership.
"Sirius said to me, 'You're our Michael Jordan, you're everything, you're our cornerstone,"' Stern said.
Shares of the satellite radio company surged 18 percent on the news.
A call to Infinity for comment was not immediately returned.
In July, Clear Channel sued Infinity for more than $3 million, claiming Stern broke their contract by violating federal indecency regulations. The lawsuit came in response to a $10 million suit filed by Stern and Infinity after Clear Channel dropped the shock jock.
Sirius reaches more than 10 million DISH Network satellite TV and Sirius Satellite Radio subscribers nationwide, providing listeners with over 120 channels of commercial-free music, sports, information and entertainment.
Infinity, a subsidiary of Viacom Inc., has about 185 stations in 40 U.S. markets, according to Hoovers.com.
Shares of Sirius rose 60 cents to $3.95 on the Nasdaq Stock Market. Viacom shares fell 49 cents to $34.96 on the New York Stock Exchange.

LOS ANGELES - Rodney Dangerfield, the bug-eyed comic whose self-deprecating one-liners brought him stardom in clubs, television and movies and made his lament "I don't get no respect" a catchphrase, died Tuesday. He was 82.
Dangerfield, who fell into a coma after undergoing heart surgery, died at 1:20 p.m., said publicist Kevin Sasaki. Dangerfield had a heart valve replaced Aug. 25 at the University of California, Los Angeles, Medical Center.
Sasaki said in a statement that Dangerfield suffered a small stroke after the operation and developed infectious and abdominal complications. But in the past week he had emerged from the coma, the publicist said.
Clad in a black suit, red tie and white shirt with collar that seemed too tight, Dangerfield convulsed audiences with lines such as: "When I was born, I was so ugly that the doctor slapped my mother," "When I started in show business, I played one club that was so far out my act was reviewed in Field and Stream," and "Every time I get in an elevator, the operator says the same thing to me: `Basement?'"
In a 1986 interview, he explained the origin of his "respect" trademark:
"I had this joke: `I played hide and seek; they wouldn't even look for me.' To make it work better, you look for something to put in front of it: I was so poor, I was so dumb, so this, so that.
