non-profit organization to give back to the community & the underprivileged
Source: www.adultfyi.com by Gene Ross
Porn Valley- Cytherea has launched a new company called XXX Hugs, www.xxxhugs.com , a non-profit organization.
"This is the porn industry giving back to the community, announced Brian on KSEX, www.ksexradio.com Thursday night. "What we intend to do is shoot a movie a month and I will absorb the cost of shooting. Myself, Cytherea and our partner Gary will absorb the cost of shooting and duplicating the movie. Talent and other companies will provide scenes to us. And all the proceeds made by XXX Hugs on the website will go to various charities supporting underprivileged kids."
Pointing out the tragic events in southeast Asia in the last week as an example, Brian said, "You can go from living and smiling to dead in about two and a half fucking minutes." Brian is hoping that with the production of one movie per month, the company, in the form of hugs, can give roughly $15,000 to $25,000 back to the community. "The people who so desperately need it." It was noted that there would be no bullshit about administrative costs, that 100% of the money would be going to charity. "It's not going to be one of those sham charities." Brian said the website should be launched in a couple of days.

Janet Jackson's 'wardrobe malfunction' was all the ammo American puritans needed to launch another ice age ... and the chill was felt all across the entertainment biz
Source www.canoe.ca By JIM SLOTEK
Call it history foretold. On Jan. 28, mtv.com plugged its upcoming Super Bowl halftime show with the headline, "Janet Jackson's Super Bowl Show Promises 'Shocking Moments.' " But history is not just a series of events, it's a series of conditions, simmering resentments and blood feuds, etc., waiting to be unleashed. The "events" are merely catalysts.
Think of it in terms of that "chaos theory" butterfly whose tiny wings beating in China lead to a hurricane in the Caribbean.
And come to think of it, didn't that "nipple shield" that Jackson was wearing that fateful Super Bowl Sunday look kind of like a butterfly? Or was it a spider?
But while blame for last season's Florida hurricanes is kind of a stretch, Jackson's breast clearly affected the choice of the Leader of the Free World and helped split the U.S. into its now famous Blue and Red halves ("the United States Of Canada and Jesusland," according to a widely circulated Internet map).
To watch the fallout of Janetgate -- in which Justin Timberlake ripped off a piece of Jackson's top during the song Rock Your Body and exposed her breast to a hundred million football fans -- was to see American culture in all its contradictions.
Or as comedian Lewis Black said, summing up the results of the Nov. 2 election, "Americans remain free to pursue their dreams, so long as that dream doesn't make Midwesterners feel 'icky.' "
The U.S., a country paradoxically founded by freedom-seeking Puritans, is the world's biggest consumer of "adult entertainment," to the tune of $10 billion a year.
At the same time, it plays host to the most prurient strain of Fundamentalist Christianity in the world, a hellfire-obsessed "sex for procreation only" message of self-control and self-denial that has found an unprecedented voice in the current U.S. administration. Look no further than then-Attorney General John Ashcroft, who had the exposed breast of the famous statue of Blind Justice covered with a sheet for photo ops.
Janet's boob pretty much put in overdrive the career of one previously little-heard-from Republican -- Michael Powell, chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (and the son of Colin Powell). It was a confluence of events and personality that could inspire Tom Wolfe to write another Bonfire of the Vanities. On the day in question, Powell says, he watched the Super Bowl with his family and was taken aback by a "classless, crass and deplorable stunt."
Almost forgotten in the furor over Jackson and Timberlake was the fact that there were other artists on the bill, including Kid Rock (who wore an American flag poncho) and the crotch-grabbing Nelly. Powell didn't overlook them though. "The whole performance was onstage copulation," said the FCC boss, who launched an obscenity investigation of the entire halftime show.
In September, the results of that investigation came down. Federal regulators fined CBS a record $550,000 for those few seconds of boob -- the maximum of $27,500 against each of the network's 20 owned-and-operated stations. It opted not to fine any of more than 200 affiliates which are not owned by CBS's parent company Viacom (which also owns MTV).
But clearly, Powell and Co. would have fined CBS more if they could. A few weeks after the Super Bowl, contrite execs from Viacom and the NFL were hauled in front of a House subcommittee on telecommunications and the Internet, which was considering a request by the FCC to multiply its fining abilities tenfold. That measure passed Congress the following month and sailed through the Senate (in a 99-1 vote) in June as the Broadcast Decency Enforcement Act. It gave the FCC power to fine a company $275,000 per station to a maximum of $3 million "per single act or failure to act."
Empowered, the FCC became busy little smut guardians indeed. In April, broadcast giant Clear Channel reportedly paid a $2 million settlement for indecency rulings against Howard Stern (whom the company had dropped from six of its stations in February), Washington morning host Elliott Segal and Florida deejay Bubba the Love Sponge.
And in March, at Powell's behest, the commission overturned an earlier ruling that NBC hadn't aired an indecency when U2's Bono accepted his trophy at the American Music Awards with the expletive, "F--ing brilliant!"
All this and the FCC still kept up with the small stuff, like a $7,000 fine against Infinity for the broadcast of a hip-hop concert on WLLD-FM in Holmes Beach, Fla.
But the real impact came in the area of "self-policing," as obscenity-chill settled in almost immediately post-Super Bowl. Timberlake's 'N Sync pal, J.C. Chasez, was dropped as a halftime act at the Pro Bowl the following week (they replaced him with a Hawaiian theme featuring hula dancers and conch blowers). Janet Jackson either bowed out or was axed from the Grammy Awards, which imposed a five-second "enhanced" tape delay on the program for the first time. The Oscars quickly followed suit, announcing their own tape delay.
On NBC, the network quickly excised a shot of an 82-year-old woman's breast from an examination scene on ER.
And last month, 66 ABC affiliates refused to air Saving Private Ryan on Veterans Day. Seems a group called The American Family Association objected to the graphic violence and 21 uses of the F-word. One complaint (and sometimes no complaint at all) is all it can take for an American broadcaster to find itself looking at millions of dollars in fines.
In Canada, the it-can't-happen-here reaction to Janetgate was epitomized by Alanis Morissette, who came out to emcee the Juno Awards "naked," wearing a body suit with painted-on nipples and pubic hair. Her opening words: "I am overjoyed to be back in my homeland, the true North, strong and censor-free."
True enough, as a country we don't seem to be fazed much by nudity or cusswords. But broadcast-chill was in the headlines here, too. Don Cherry went one "Chicken Swede" too far when he opined that most NHL players who wear visors "are Europeans or French guys." The comment prompted an inquiry by Canada's official languages commissioner and led to the imposition of a seven-second delay on Cherry's Coach's Corner segment of Hockey Night in Canada. "(CBC) categorically rejects and denounces the personal opinions Mr. Cherry expressed," network exec VP Harold Redekopp said in announcing the decision.
An overreaction? Maybe. On the other hand, the CRTC served notice in the summer it wouldn't be bluffed when it rescinded the licence of CHOI-FM, Toronto's most popular radio station. The main offender: Morning man Jean-Francois Fillion, about whom the commission says it received 47 complaints between 1998 and 2001, mostly in the area of racist commentary.
Fillion would get a sympathetic ear from Howard Stern, who went from pro- to anti-George Bush the week Clear Channel dropped him from six markets. With his main syndicator, Infinity Broadcasting, also facing more than $1 million worth of indecency fines in his name, Stern decided to bolt the public airwaves altogether. In October, he signed a $500-million deal, effective 2006, with Sirius Satellite Radio -- the radio equivalent of pay-cable. Typically humble, he hailed the deal as "the death of FM radio and the death of the FCC."
If Stern does turn out to be the X factor in satellite radio's success, it could rewrite the rules in the broadcast world.
Score another one for Janet's nipple.

The Doors have joined about 40 residents of the Morrison Hotel in Los Angeles who are taking action against their 'Slumlord' for allowing their residence to become a rat infested hole.
The Morrison Hotel, at 1246 Hope Street in Los Angeles, was used by The Doors as the name and cover of their 1970 classic album which featured 'Roadhouse Blues'.
"A slumlord took it over. It was a gentleman's hotel back in the old days" Doors member Ray Manzarek tells Undercover News. "There are lots of Hispanic people living there and the slumlord is not keeping the place up".
The help raise funds for the tenants to take legal action against the slumlord, The Doors plan on putting some music up on the internet. "The Doors are going to join a protest and do some work" he says. "Robbie Kreiger, myself and my son Pablo are going to do a remix of one of the songs from Morrison Hotel and put it up on the internet and give the proceeds to legal fund for the tenants of the Morrison Hotel".
The 111 room building has been neglected for decades according to reports. Now 40 tenants are taking action claiming the manager has failed to "repair the unsafe, unsanitary and uninhabitable conditions".
The Doors are considering which song to use to help the residents. "We are talking about a couple of different things" Ray says. "Indian Summer is definitely one of the songs which is up for consideration. You Make Me Real is a possibility too. It will be one of maybe four songs".
Forty residents have taken the action against the owner Hope Pico Co and Sauli Danpour, the hotel's manager.
An arraignment has been scheduled for January 26, 2005.

* Ray Manzarek Hopes The Doors Will Again Soon Be The Doors
The Doors of the 21st Century may soon be able to call themselves The Doors again before they arrive in Australia for the Melbourne International Music Festival.
Founding member Ray Manzarek is hopeful the current court-case actioned by original drummer John Densmore will rule in their favour. "The law suit still has to be decided. Perhaps by the end of January we will hear something from the judge as to what the final disposition of the case is" Manzarek tells Undercover News.
For Manzarek, the court case has been a waste of time. "It's been long and ridiculous" he says. "You know what it is, when a rock band stays together long enough someone in the band will lose their mind and sue the other members. That's what happened - Beach Boys, Pink Floyd - somebody has got to sue".
Regardless of the name, the live set for the upcoming Melbourne International Music Festival will feature classic Doors. "In my mind we are The Doors, we will play Doors and regardless of the actual name, we will play the same songs like 'Light My Fire', 'Break On Through' and 'When The Music's Over'" Ray says.
The Densmore court action has destroyed the friendship with Ray. "It made it one of intense antagonism" he says.
The Densmore legal action is just one of the cases The Doors are facing. The other came from former Police drummer Stewart Copeland who for a brief moment was with The Doors and sued after discovering he was out of the band when he read about it in a magazine article. "Stylistically it didn't work out. There is a certain style that works for Doors songs and music and it did not mesh. That was a lawsuit too. If Ty (Dennis) ever leaves hopefully he won't sue. I'm getting sued by drummers".
The Doors will perform their first ever Australian shows in February 2005.
They will perform in Perth at the Moonlight Music and Wine Festival in Perth on December 19, Sydney Entertainment Centre on February 23, Brisbane Convention Centre on February 25th and the Melbourne International Music Festival on February 26th.

Erasure frontman Andy Bell confirmed that he is HIV positive. The singer made the admission to a Finnish newspaper and later released a statement via the band's official website. Bell has been with his partner Paul Hickey for 20 years and made the revelation ahead of a book Hickey is writing, which is scheduled to be published in the UK next year. In his statement the 40-year-old Bell writes:
"Thank you to all the fans for their concern expressed on the Erasure forum over my HIV status. I found out I was HIV positive in June 1998 when I had a bout of pneumonia in Mallorca. Since then, I have been taking combination therapy and I am feeling fine— in fact, I have never felt better. Being HIV does not mean that you have AIDS. My life expectancy should be the same as anyone else's so there is no need to panic, there is still so much hysteria and ignorance surrounding HIV and AIDS. … let's just get on with life i.e. making music, doing a live tour and generally having a good time.
Lots of love,
Andy."
Erasure, one of the most successful ‘80s pop duos in British history, are set to release a new album in January entitled Nightbird, the band's first release of new, original material since 2000's Loveboat. Erasure also released a critically embraced collection of covers in 2003 titled Other People's Songs.
Erasure and Bell have been active campaigners to raise HIV/AIDS awareness for years recently performing at one of the biggest German AIDS charity events, Red, Hot & Dance. Bell has also said in interviews promoting Nightbird that he's feeling better than ever. "The last couple of albums were a bit moody and down," Bell said in a statement announcing the album last month. "I'm so much happier with everything now … You can hear it in the music." Erasure is planning an extensive tour in 2005 to support their new album. Current dates are scheduled in the UK and Germany with an American tour looking to kick off in April or May. Stay tuned

Shares of Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. rose sharply yesterday after the company said that it had surpassed a year-end goal of attracting one million subscribers.
Shares of Sirius, the second-biggest pay-radio company, jumped as high as $8.48 during the day, before closing at $8.10, up 15 cents.
XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc., the biggest satellite-radio company, said it met its year-end goal of 3.1 million customers. Shares of XM Satellite fell 19 cents yesterday, to $39.73. Sirius is trying to lure users with programming and has spent more than $720 million in the last 12 months to gain new attractions, including National Football League games and Howard Stern. Sirius, which hired Mel Karmazin, the former president of Viacom, as chief executive in November, said holiday sales of portable receivers that plug into home and car stereos raised its subscriber numbers.
"We've been caught up in the hype of the satellite business," John LaForge, a fund manager at FA Asset Management in Sarasota, Fla., said in an interview. Sirius's stock "is way, way over its head."
Mr. LaForge said he had shorted the shares of Sirius, based in New York, betting the stock price would fall.
Neither XM Satellite nor Sirius, both of which offer nationwide digital signals, has posted a quarterly profit.
Sirius's shares have more than doubled since the company signed Mr. Stern to a five-year contract on Oct. 6. XM Satellite shares have gained 37 percent since then.
Sirius and XM Satellite are trying to lure customers to buy units in retail stores and persuade automakers to install receivers as factory options. The companies need more subscribers to pay for programming like Mr. Stern's show, Mr. LaForge said.
Together, Sirius and XM Satellite "need 40 to 50 million subscribers to make the model work," Mr. LaForge said. The subscriber counts announced yesterday do not "change the economics of the game."

Erica Durance, who is playing Lois Lane in The WB's Smallville, told the Sci Fi Pulse Web site that she'd love to reprise the role in the show's fifth season. "I would be interested in coming back, of course,” Durance told the site. "That would be wonderful, to be able to be on this show for another season."
The Canadian Durance was signed to play Clark Kent's (Tom Welling) future love interest in 13 of the current fourth season's episodes. As for next season, she said, "I think they're working on that right now and deciding how much of next season Lois might be back and where they could take the character. I know they'd love to bring her back, but there's the film coming up [Superman Returns] and there are all sorts of things in the upper echelons that I don't know reasons for, but I'll probably know what's happening for in [the] next couple of months."
Durance next appears in the Smallville episode "The Recruit," which airs Feb. 9. Smallville airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m.
ET/PT.

With KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer overseeing it, as he has with most of the group's full-length videos in years past, "Kiss - Rock The Nation Live!", the new live KISS two-disc DVD set will feature the hottest songs from the Washington, D.C. and Virginia Beach, VA concerts, filmed this summer in high-definition video, according to a posting on the group's web site. The song list is vast and features a collection of KISS gems, many performed and recorded live for the first time in many years. The DVD will also include KISS Powervision interactive bonus features that include Select-A-KISS, allowing the viewer access to separate channels for each of the four band members. At any time the viewer can watch the main concert program, or switch to different cameras focusing just on Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer or Eric Singer. The DVD will be loaded with additional behind-the-scenes, life-on-the-road footage and interviews, giving the viewer a virtual all-access pass to soundchecks, the famed KISS dressing room and other rare glimpses into the world of KISS. The DVD is tentatively slated for a spring 2005 release.

KISS guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley this week underwent a second surgery on his hip to correct problems that arose following his hip replacement of October 12. After an undetermined period of rest and physical therapy, he is expected to make a full recovery.
Stanley had previously said that his left hip degenerated from years of high-energy performances with KISS.
The surgery was supposed to happen about three years ago, but Stanley put it off, even though he knew it would have to happen eventually.
"I wound up postponing my hip surgery and, you know, it's like reading in the newspaper your own death, you know, when you keep reading about your hip surgery, and I haven't done it, but I'm just postponing it for awhile," he said. "I have, you know, every intention of continuing doing what I've been doing, but little by little I'm turning bionic."

VH1 unveils the first "New Year, New You" transformation on New Year's Day with the premiere of "Remaking", a series of specials that is dedicated to improving the careers and lives of artists through various forms of transformation.
MÖTLEY CRÜE frontman Vince Neil is the first artist to "face the music" on VH1's "Remaking: Vince Neil" premiering on Saturday, January 1 at 9PM ET/PT. Throughout the hour-long special Neil will undergo a facelift, work out with a personal trainer and most importantly, kick his drinking habit. Following his physical transformation, Neil will then team up with some of the music industry's top producers to record a new single, "Promise Me", proving that true music legends never die.
Throughout each special, every artist will go through 90 days of hands-on interaction with a specially selected team of experts who will take them through the sometimes comic, emotional, but always intense transformation which could involve anything from therapy to plastic surgery, exercise, style renovation or musical reinvention. Upcoming episodes include Taylor Dayne and Vanilla Ice.
The Remaking of Vince Neil begins at a dingy club, in a strip mall in Minnesota, where Vince is performing solo to a small, aging, but loyal audience. The former frontman from Mötley Crüe has become significantly overweight, has maintained an escalating drinking habit, and is struggling to come up with new music to keep his sound current.
Vince Neil is presented with the opportunity to remake himself in preparation for one ultimate goal: a grand finale concert that could re-launch his career.
Over the next few months, Vince Neil will face his issues, battle his demons and will be tested on every level.
Visiting a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon could wash away years of wear and tear. A personal trainer seeks to correct Vince's bad habits and help him lose those extra pounds. Fabulous stylists direct Vince toward the proper threads and a more contemporary hair-style. Recording a new song with a legendary music producer could prove to be a hit or a flop. A brand-new Vince Neil is within reach, but will Vince accept the challenge?
No matter how much he trips and falls, whether he succeeds or fails, the experiences Vince encounters along the way will build the person he will become. See what happens when a dedicated and driven team of professionals joins forces, in an attempt to re-launch, rejuvenate, re-master and remake Vince Neil.

JENNA JAMESON JETS TO NEW YORK TO HELP RING IN THE NEW YEAR; HER BEST SELLING BOOK GETS YEAR-END PRAISE
NEW YORK CITY – (December 29, 2004) – Jenna Jameson, the world’s leading adult star, flies to New York City this week from her Arizona home to help ring in the New Year at two top nightclubs. Meanwhile, her career as a book author is getting year-end praise.
Ms. Jameson will host a three-room New Year’s Eve party (from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.) at the Club Avalon (20th Street and Sixth Avenue; [212] 807-7780, www.avalonnewyorkcity.com). Avalon will also feature videos of the midnight countdown at Times Square, 22 blocks north of the club.
Avalon co-owner Fedor Banuchi says he’s super-excited to see Jenna at the club again and always looks forward to the crowd she draws. Advance tickets are $65, with an open bar from 9 p.m. to midnight.
After Avalon Jenna moves across town to VUE Nightclub (151 East 50th Street) for The Voyeur’s Ball (from 1:30 a.m. to 3:30 a.m.). She’ll be decked out appropriately for the masquerade party, black tie optional. In addition to special late night guest hostess Jenna the party will feature DJ Skribble (MTV & KTU) & DJ Rob Swift (formerly of the X-Ecutioners) along with DJ M.O.S. and DJ Julian who are geared to provide an unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration.
Meanwhile, book reviewers are chiming in with their year-end wrap-ups of the book publishing industry, and Jenna plays a prominent role. FHM magazine says Jenna is the “top author of 2004.” Robert D. Richards and Clay Calvert, professors of communications and law at Penn State University and co-directors of the Pennsylvania Center for the First Amendment, note in The Boston Globe that 2004 “witnessed the continued mainstreaming, popularity, and proliferation of adult entertainment -- its detractors simply call it pornography -- in American culture. The success of adult video star Jenna Jameson's best-selling book, ‘How to Make Love Like a Porn Star,’ is testament alone to the popularity of this material. The memoir detailing the trials and tribulations of the world's most popular adult actress was such a hit this year that people stood in line for 2 1/2 hours at a book signing in San Francisco. According to Publishers Weekly, the book already has had three press runs, with 100,000 copies in print.”
Tristan Taormino, writing in New York’s Village Voice, gives Jenna the “Reverse Cowgirl Award” noting that “the ubiquitous Jenna Jameson scored a record 14 pieces featuring (or plugging) her in The New York Times; this doesn't include her book's appearance on the paper's bestseller lists.”
The December 2 issue of People magazine mentions Jenna's book in the Top 10 Picks 2004 Books section, as does Entertainment Weekly.
And reviewer Charles Taylor, writing in Newsday, one of the leading New York newspapers, called the book one of his “favorite books of 2004.” He said that while some critics “who bothered with (the book) could barely disguise their contempt” he felt differently: “With the help of co-writer Neil Strauss, Jameson came off as a real person, and her wildly entertaining, quintessentially American story of porn stardom insisted on a stubborn truth that didn't kowtow to any platitudes about porn, pro or con.”
About Jenna Jameson: According to Rolling Stone Jenna Jameson is the actress who "put the star in porn star." New York Magazine says she's a "cultural icon." She is recognized by Adult Video News as the leading female adult star of all time and she has won virtually every honor the adult industry bestows. Her book about her life and sexual adventures from the ReganBooks imprint of HarperCollins, How to Make Love Life a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale, rose quickly to The New York Times bestseller list. Ms. Jameson has debated at Oxford University in England, been profiled by The E! True Hollywood Stories in one of its highest-rated shows, hosted E!'s Wild On program and made countless television appearances. She controls her own film production company and is the chairwoman of ClubJenna, Inc., a product licensing and Internet management firm that handles the Web activities for more than a dozen top adult stars, operates ClubJennaMall.com, a popular online retail store and has a free non-explicit Website, www.justjennajameson.com. Vivid Entertainment Group has selected Jenna as a Vivid Girl and films produced by her own production company are distributed by Vivid. Ms. Jameson, who began her career as a Las Vegas showgirl, has appeared in thousands of magazine articles and on hundreds of magazine covers from Playboy, New York, Esquire and Penthouse to Glamour, Paper, Cosmopolitan, Allure and Jane. FHM ranks her as one of the 100 Most Beautiful Girls in the World and VH1 says she is among the “100 Hottest Hotties.”

Starr Power Elizabeth Starr and Ringo Star
LOS ANGELES - Adult film company Starr Productions released word on Christmas Eve that a trademark filing of their company name in a black and white logo has been challenged by music personality and former member of the Beatles Ringo Starr.
According to Starr Productions CEO Elizabeth Starr, the dispute now being made public stretches back almost a year, to when she first filed for the trademark in late 2003. How Starr found out about the company had less to do with legal filings and more to do with public billboards.
“Supposedly he was driving down Highland and saw my sign and wanted to know what was going on. Mr. Starkey's attorneys contacted my attorney. The attorneys were friends; they knew each other.”
According to Starr, negotiations between the two camps throughout the year led to pressure from the musician’s lawyers to give up seeking the trademark and to alter her company’s name for business purposes.
“I felt I was strong-armed to give up who I am, and they expected me to roll over for him; I basically told him I won’t do that.”
The day before the trademark probationary period had expired, the musician’s lawyers filed for a 30-day continuance. It was at this point Elizabeth Starr became upset and went public. “They can keep filing continuances, and they don’t have a leg to stand on,” she says.
The company feels the suit is entirely groundless.
“He feels that Starr Productions will somehow cause children and young adults to confuse the business with Ringo Starr. It’s ridiculous.”
In addition to the two Starrs working in different fields, the CEO points out that the musician has never applied for a "Starr Productions" trademark.
“I don’t think it’s fair,” she told AVN.com. “He has six trademarks. He’s never had any interest in a ‘Starr Productions’ trademark. ‘Ringo Starr’ is his trademark.”
In fact, business names and trademarks with some form of the word “Starr” are numerous. A quick Internet search performed by AVN.com revealed an entertainment endeavor in Maryland by the ‘Starr Productions,’ as well as several other companies with names derivative of Starr Productions, such as a theatrical agency called All-Starr Productions.
The search engine of the US Patent and Trademark Office reveals 185 patents that include or have included the word "Starr," including "Brenda Starr, Reporter." According to those listings, there are six trademarks listed for Ringo Starr held by the musician, in a variety of areas related to music and musical performance.
Elizabeth Starr is adamant she will hold her ground, and feels that doing so in public is merely a continuation of the battle she’s fought privately up until now.
“I wasn’t going to be bullied,” she said. “I re-financed my home to pay for this company.”
Although in operation for a little more than a year, Starr Productions offers a sizeable catalog anchored by the acquisition of the Fetish Films/Mother’s Productions lines.
Just as Starr plans on growing her company, she wants to keep her chosen name in doing so.
“I’m not going to back down; I’m definitely not going to back down.”

Power. It's all about perception. But perception is everything in Tinseltown. Hollywood runs on hot air fueled by publicists and the mainstream media, which is why we’re as miffed as you are that those "power" and "hot" lists published in "Entertainment Weekly" and "Premiere" are taken so seriously. No one cares about those lists except for the people on them.
Just so you understand how utterly meaningless these “power” lists are, try a little test. And you can do this test in the privacy of your own home. Just dig up an old issue of "Entertainment Weekly" and "Premiere" from, say, 2002. Then read the “power” list from that year. See what we mean? Meaningless!

With principal photography on the "Fantastic Four" film about to wrap, Cinescape now reports that the entire third act of the film has undergone extensive changes as a result of Pixar's CGI family film "The Incredibles". Seems after seeing the stretching effects of Elastigirl, the final battle sequence of FF needed to be beefed up, especially the similarly stretchable Mister Fantastic (Ian Gruffudd).
20th Century Fox apparently stepped up to the plate and coughed up more dough, anywhere up to an alleged $20 million in fact so Mister Fantastic could have more screen time to stretch across and some of the other characters may get some more action as well. On top of this, the third act has had to undergo a major rewrite. Writers and producers have been working overtime all through November and December as they thought about ways to better build up the film's final battles and the resolution.
This has lead to almost daily script changes in order to distance the FF ending from that of "The Incredibles". The changes aren't expected to affect the release date however with things still proceeding on course for a July 4th holiday weekend opening.

George Carlin's New Year's resolution is to get sober.
The dirty-word-dispensing funnyman announced Monday that he was voluntarily entering a treatment program to battle his growing abuse of booze and painkillers
Or as he put it: "I'm going into rehab because I use too much wine and Vicodin. No one told me I needed this; I recognized the problem and took the step myself.
"My levels of use are nowhere near the worst you hear about these days; I could easily have continued functioning at a good level...for awhile. But my use would have progressed, I would have been in deeper trouble, and I didn't want to tolerate that.
"I've never been in rehab before and I know it isn't easy, but I'm highly motivated, and will do whatever's needed."
Carlin, 67, did not specify how long he intended to remain in rehab--a typical stint is around a month--or where he would receive his treatment.
"When I get out, I will take a little time for myself before resuming my schedule," Carlin said. "Thanks. See ya soon."
Carlin has cleared his calendar and currently has no concert dates listed on his Website, georgecarlin.com. He had been making the rounds in theaters and bookstores in recent weeks to pimp his latest boundary-pushing book, When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops?, and was planning his usual 12-week run at Las Vegas' MGM Grand.
Earlier this year, he generated headlines when Wal-Mart declined to stock Pork Chops. Despite Wal-Mart's dissing, the title still reached the upper echelon of the New York Times bestseller list.
Carlin, who most recently appeared in Jersey Girl, also has voiced a part in Happily N'Ever After, an animated retelling of the Grimm fairy tales featuring the voices of Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sigourney Weaver. After is due out next year.

Digital Pictures will be working on the Ghost Rider special effects.
DESPITE rumours that cast doubt on his participation in the project, recently married actor Nicolas Cage will be in Melbourne in February to start work on the action blockbuster Ghost Rider.
Cage, 40, is expected to arrive in town early in the month to prepare for his role as Johnny Blaze in the movie which starts filming at Central City Studios, Docklands, on February 14.
There is no word on whether he will be accompanied by his latest wife, 20-year-old former sushi waitress Alice Kim.
Cage married Kim on July 30. He was previously married to Lisa Marie Presley and Patricia Arquette.
Directed by Mark Steven Johnson, who made the Ben Affleck-Jennifer Garner hit, Daredevil, the $51 million adaptation of the marvel comic book series will be the most expensive film shot in Melbourne.
The storyline follows Blaze, a circus motorcycle stuntman, who is tricked by Satan into becoming the Spirit of Vengeance.
The film is expected to shoot at various locations around Melbourne.
FILMING on the eagerly awaited Australian drama Candy has been pushed back after the film's director Neil Armfield was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Armfield is understood to have undergone surgery for his condition this week.
According to a spokesman for the production, he is expected to make a full recovery, but work on Candy has been postponed for five weeks. Pre-production will begin on January 31, with filming expected to start in Sydney in early March.
Armfield has assembled a powerful cast including Oscar-winner Geoffrey Rush, Heath Ledger, Abbie Cornish, and Garry McDonald to star in the adaptation of the Luke Davies novel.
The storyline follows the dramatic decline of a couple, who are not only in love with each other, but are equally besotted with drugs.
Noni Hazlehurst and Tom Budge have also been cast.
Despite the delayed shooting schedule, the production spokesman said the cast was still committed to the film.
The postponement will give Ledger the chance to enjoy his new Sydney home -- a $4.45 million, four-level, five-bedroom mansion he bought recently

Danzig To Perform Single Show in Hollywood With Special Guest Doyle
Key Club Welcomes Legendary Hard-Rock Legend Danzig Wednesday, December 29, 2004 for a Special Performance
(West Hollywood, CA) Key Club is proud to present Danzig for a special intimate performance on Wednesday, December 29, 2004. The hard-rockers will be performing with DOYLE for the first time on stage together in twenty years. Doors open at 7:00PM and tickets are $30.00. Glenn Danzig co-founded The Misfits in 1977. When the hardcore band broke up in 1983, Danzig formed the metallic, brooding Samhain in order to experiment with different sounds, but that project fizzled out as well. The band Danzig was put together in 1987, and quickly inked a deal with Rick Rubin's Def American label.
Following a falling out with the record label in the mid-1990's, Danzig changed the bands line-up. This fresh start led to the release of Danzig 6:66 Satans Child, a truly unique-sounding, hard-rocking record. Throughout their long and successful career Danzig has consistently produced some of the darkest metal albums ever, setting the standard in this genre. Danzig is currently touring in support of their latest album titled Circle of Snakes.
Key Club presents metal legends Danzig with special guest Doyle on Wednesday, December 29, 2004. Tickets are $30.00 and can be purchased by visiting www.ticketmaster.com or by calling the Key Club box office at 310-274-5800. Dinner reservations are also available by calling the Key Club.

From an open casting call in Los Angeles last Sunday for the "Pirates of the Caribbean" sequels and later interview with casting director Sande Alessi.
The agency is still looking for extras it seems for the March 2005 start of shooting date in Los Angeles where the shooting will alternate between the Californian city and St. Vincent.
According to the casting director, pirate crew extras are being selected early so they can complete training in sword play and other pirate skills before filming starts. Many female extras are needed, as well as people to play soldiers, marines, fishermen, and townspeople in Port Royal and other film locations. Extras of various ethnic backgrounds will be needed, especially if Chow Yun-Fats character needs crew members or other associates.
Meanwhile, "The Office" star Mackenzie Crook, who played a pirate constantly losing his wooden eye in the first film, was on T4 yesterday in the UK, where he confirmed that he would be returning for though didn't specify whether he would be appearing in one or both of the sequels.

"The Sound That Ends Creation" sees Society 1 expanding its musical and
lyrical vision. The band's trademark industrial-metal shock-rock stomp
is still in full effect ("It Isn't Me", "Lord"), but also rearing its
head is a more timeless, groove-laden rock approach ("No Father",
"Realms Of Bliss"), making it clear Society 1 is delving further and
further back into rock history for inspiration. Zane's psycho-sexual
occultist lyrics have always delivered stab wounds to the chest of the
conservative status quo, and on "The Sound That Ends Creation" Zane
spirals deeper and deeper into his twisted world, all the while exposing
the devil in us all with crystal clarity. With its theatrical,
aggressive, confrontational style and its heavy, anthemic sound, Society
1 is proving itself to be an heir to a long, exalted tradition of
incendiary, controversial rock outfits, from The Doors to Alice Cooper
to KISS to Jane's Addiction to Marilyn Manson.
Equally the most debaucherous AND disciplined band on the scene today
(on one hand, indulging in onstage and backstage antics only a porn
director could dream up; on the other hand, completing more tourdates
last year than any other Earache band, and making history with Zane's
unbelievable record-breaking suspension stunt), Society 1 is a true
anomaly on the face of modern culture. Instilling mortal fear in
conservatives, unbearable lust in schoolgirls, and blind loyalty in fans
across the nation, Society 1 are the real deal. While other bands
dabble in occult imagery for shock value or make false boasts of
backstage conquests, Society 1 are truly living the life -- and
polarizing the world into enemies and converts, along the way. Society
1 is a band of extreme people doing extreme things. Jump on board their
hellbound caravan or fester and perish in your self-imposed cage of
mediocrity.
THE FACTS:
-"The Sound That Ends Creation" is the follow-up to Society 1's Earache
debut, "Exit Through Fear".
-"The Sound That Ends Creation" was recorded by Wade Norton (Static-X)
at NRG Studios (Beck, Linkin Park).
-As well as being a confrontational rock singer, Society 1 frontman Matt
"The Lord" Zane is a porn tycoon, poet, thrill-seeker, occultist, media
icon, and all-around extremist described in the LA Weekly as an
embodiment of "Morrisonesque shamanics and Satanic self-determination".
-With a pounding industrial-metal pulse, ballistic guitar assault, and
Zane's debaucherous, occult visions, Society 1 have earned comparisons
to Marilyn Manson, Ministry, Alice Cooper and The Doors.
-The first pressing of "The Sound That Ends Creation" contains a bonus
DVD, "The Creation Of Sound", featuring blistering live footage and
uncensored backstage antics from Society 1's US and European tours.
-"The Sound That Ends Creation" features the debut of drummer Preston
Nash (Dope, Primer 55).
-Society 1's last video, "Hate", earned airplay on MTV2's Headbangers
Ball and Fuse TV's Uranium.
-Zane and Society 1 have earned massive press coverage in such outlets
as Details, Spin, Metal Hammer, Kerrang!, Revolver, Hit Parader and
Metal Edge.
-In 2003, Society 1 toured more than any other Earache band, completing
massive coast-to-coast tours of the US and Europe with such bands as
Dope, Twiztid, and Godhead.
-In March 2004, Zane made history at LA's Key Club by becoming the first
rock singer ever to perform at a live concert while "suspended" --
hoisted in the air, reaching heights of up to 30 feet above the stage,
supported only by six meathooks inserted in his flesh.
-Expect the unexpected!

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Busty blond Brit porn star Taylor Wane has gone all literary on us this Christmas season, penning a poem for friends and fans alike.
So without further ado, we bring you Taylor's Christmas greeting: (you must be at least 18 years old to click this link)
A Christmas Poem from Taylor Wane
Twas the night before Christmas fucking all through my house,
All the porn stars are squealing, I feel like a louse.
I felt being Christmas I should take the day off,
Till I saw one of them swallow without even a cough.
Their stockings were clipped to their garter belts with care
Their pussies were bald, not even one single hair!
Their asses were propped really high in the air,
Being stuffed with Christmas sausage without even a dare.
After multiple orgasms, I went straight to bed,
With visions of threesomes burned into my head.
Not long after napping, there arose such a clatter,
There was a gang bang aloft, her face was all splattered.
She was sucking on one dick and sitting on two,
All her holes were leaking with egg nog-like spew.
I was tired and exhausted but gave up the fight,
I decided to join in and fuck them all night.
There were 3-ways and 4-ways and 5-ways and six,
There was one horny girl sucking 12 different dicks.
Double anals and cream-pies were offered for dinner,
Three dicks in her ass, she was declared the winner.
The next day she wobbled, she limped and she crawled,
She couldn't stand up without the help of a wall.
My suggestion to you, is that it's kept nice and tight,
Merry Triple X Christmas to all and to all a good night

“Pornography is defined as written or pictorial matter intended to arouse sexual feelings. The word obscenity is not part of the definition, and the two words are linked only by those who seek to impose their narrow beliefs on the rest of society. The adult film industry has been referred to as the last bastion for free thinking entrepreneurs.”

There is one date confirmed for the 2005 tour of Queen with Paul Rodgers on vocals.
The band will perform March 19 in South Africa at Fancourt for the Nelson Mandela AIDS Awareness Concert.
The show will open a tour that travels through England and Europe in the spring and North America in the fall.
Rodgers, from the bands Free and Bad Company, impressed the remaining members of Queen when he joined them for several performances this year.
Rodgers and Queen guitarist Brian May performed Free's hit "All Right Now" at a concert in London to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Fender Stratocaster guitar earlier this year.
May and Queen drummer Roger Taylor then asked Rodgers to stand in for singer Freddy Mercury, who died in 1991, when the band was featured on a British TV channel's music hall of fame program.
In a note on his Web site, May said there had been "amazing chemistry" when he played alongside Rodgers, adding: "It seems blindingly obvious that there was something happening here."
Right now, it doesn't look like bassist John Deacon, the other member of the band, will join the tour.

New film draws on several versions of the story.
"Batman Begins" isn't supposed to be just a return to the "Batman" film franchise, but a return to the "Batman" comic book readers know and love. Screenwriter David S. Goyer — who also wrote the "Blade" series and directed the most recentinstallment, "Blade: Trinity" — said that he wrote "Batman Begins" with those comic book fans in mind. The question is, which comics?
Batman's story has been told and re-told over the years — even decades. Depending on the writer, characters in the Batman gallery have somewhat different origins — in one version, Catwoman's alter ego is a prostitute. So how do you tell a story about Batman's origins when you have so much source material from so many different mythologies, from so many generations?
"Blade wasn't nearly as well-known as Batman, so there weren't tons and tons of 'Blade' comic book fans out there who were going to come beating down my door if I screwed something up in the movie," Goyer said. "Batman is really well-known and has been around longer, something like 37 years longer, and you have to tread more carefully".
Goyer knew immediately which Batmans he wanted to reference. Consider it his Batman canon: Frank Miller's noir take on Batman's early career in "Year One," Jeph Loeb's "The Long Halloween" and its sequel, "Dark Victory" (which was written with Tim Sale), and Denny O'Neil and Neal Adams' 1970s work, which introduced the villain Ra's al Ghul. Those latter comics also depict a pre-commissioner Jim Gordon as an honest but hard-boiled cop, develop allies like District Attorney Harvey Dent into fiends like Two-Face, and feature familiar but deadly villains such as the Joker, Poison Ivy and Scarecrow.
They paint a picture of Gotham not run by the freakish rogues gallery, but by old-school mobsters like Carmine "The Roman" Falcone, and complicit in this are the corrupt cops on the force. This Gotham is a more realistic world where detective work becomes just as important, if not more so, than Batman's collection of toys. And because the cops have failed to keep the peace, this version of Gotham also demonstrates the necessity for the vigilante Batman to come into being, and Gordon to be his ally. But even those comics don't tell the full story, Goyer said, which is why "Batman Begins" will borrow from those stories but also create its own mythology.
"There are huge gaps in the origin of Batman that have never been explored in the comic books," he said. "And we get to fill in those gaps. We're telling a story that has never been told before, not in film, not in television, and to a certain extent, not even in the comic books."

WWW- That’s "Kane horror," not Kane Hodder, as in a new chiller coming from World Wrestling Entertainment starring WWE RAW Superstar Kane.
The grappler stars in the UNTITLED KANE HORROR PICTURE, which rolled last week in Queensland, Australia. Lions Gate Films has picked up distribution rights for the movie, which is being directed by music video (and adult film) veteran Gregory Dark. WWE honcho Vince McMahon is the executive producer, and the producer is Joel Simon, who says, "We’ve created the classic bad guy, the classic monster. We’re planning to create a villain franchise in the vein of Jason, Freddy and Pinhead."
Dark has won several VMA's including music videos for Christina Aguilera
Britney Spears had previously refused to work with video director Gregory Dark again after learning of his prior career as a porn director.
Dark, who also goes by the name Gregory Hippolyte, has already directed the promotional video for her single 'From The Bottom Of My Heart'.
Yet Britney - who is hardly averse to being scantily-clad herself - and her record company are eager to rid themselves of any connection with Dark and his former vocation.
Before giving up his job in the porn industry, the 51-year old director produced a number of films.
Dark is baffled by the fuss over his past and has said: "Her record company won't use me any more when it came out what I used to do. So I made some porno movies. Big deal. I didn't hurt anybody."

KUDOS CC!
NEW YORK - The nation's top decency cops could probably use a holiday.
In the home stretch of 2004, the Federal Communications Commission, the official enforcer of the nation's anti-smut standards, has so far received more than a million complaints about public radio and television programming. That's a record and so is the close to $8 million in fines levied, half of them against Clear Channel Communications and Viacom.
The numbers suggest a few things: the minds of entertainment industry honchos are getting a whole lot dirtier, Americans are fed up, and indecency watchdogs in Washington, D.C. are writing tickets faster than a traffic cop on a quota.
But things are never what they suggest.
MediaWeek, an entertainment industry trade journal, reported last week that just about 100 percent of the complaints filed in 2003 and 2004 (not counting the 530,000 official gripes over the Janet Jackson episode) were filed by the Parents Television Council, a 10 year-old group boasting more than a million members whose self-described goal is "to restore television to its roots as an independent and socially responsible entertainment medium."
To register a complaint through the council, all it takes today are a few mouse clicks on a near-complete form posted on the Internet.
The council has not only disputed the FCC data -- and since called for a Congressional investigation of the agency -- but it has also objected loudly to the implication that a "small minority of agenda-driven Americans" is using online activism to stoke the indecency fire.
"I'm sure they're stirring all these people up," said DePauw University communication professor Jeffrey McCall, referring to the Parents Television Council. "I'm not sure that the content is any more indecent now than it has been."
It may not seem that way, given all of the smut scandals that erupted in 2004. First Janet Jackson flashed a bare breast during her live Super Bowl halftime performance in February. Then raunchy radio star Howard Stern got fired from one gig, quit another and blamed conservatives. The opening ceremony of the Athens Olympics featured male performers depicting stone figures of young naked Greek men. "Desperate Housewives" star Nicolette Sheridan revealed her backside in a pro-football promo.
As these and other controversies erupted, the FCC issued fines in 11 cases totaling $7.7 million. The big whopper: $3.5 million that Viacom agreed to pay to settle a handful of ongoing investigations (excluding an ongoing probe into Janet Jackson's flash of flesh, which was broadcast on Viacom-owned CBS).
Compare these levels to a year ago, when roughly 200,000 complaints were filed and $440,000 in penalties were issued.
On top of who's actually complaining, it's worth noting that the bulk of FCC complaints filed every year are dismissed. In 2002, for instance, the agency logged 14,000 complaints, tossed 13,300 and had 660 pending at year-end.
So are headline-grabbing stories about an indecency crackdown all hype? Hardly.
McCall, the DePauw professor, says the volume of complaints don't matter. The 1978 U.S. Supreme Court case that established the FCC's right to regulate obscenity in order to protect children grew out of a single complaint over George Carlin monologue titled "Filthy Words."
That said, McCall said the federal government clearly stepped up enforcement in 2004. Politics, he said, played an important role. "It was an election year and, as we know now, values became very important," he said.
The early signs appeared in 2003, when U2 lead singer Bono said 'f--king brilliant' during the live Golden Globes broadcast that winter.
In March of this year, the FCC overturned its earlier finding that Bono's expletive was not illegal given the context. While the FCC did not issue any penalties in connection with Bono's speech, the agency said the f-word would no longer be tolerated on public airwaves.
Another turning point: in early 2003, the FCC indicated in a ruling that it would start to impose heftier fines. Instead of treating an entire show as one violation for purposes of calculating fines, the agency said it would start calculating each instance deemed obscene or offensive in a single broadcast as a separate violation.
Only Congress has the power to raise indecency fines. In September 2004, however, the FCC increased penalties, from $27,500 to $32,500 per violation, under a provision that allows regulators to adjust fines for inflation.
Meanwhile, a few federal lawmakers have been trying to turn up the heat on broadcasters.
Kansas Republican Senator Sam Brownback led a campaign throughout the year to raise the price of a decency violation ten-fold, to $500,000, and to hold for the first time entertainers individually liable for breaking the rules.
Political wrangling killed the proposal in 2004, but it's likely to be revived next year. What is more, conservative groups want Congress to pass a law extending obscenity regulations to cable and satellite broadcasts which, as subscription-based services, are immune from decency rules.
McCall, the DePauw professor, predicts that the indecency battle will be equally explosive in 2005 and beyond. "This issue isn't going away," he said.
But bare breasts on the Super Bowl broadcast undoubtedly are.

The Elvis Presley estate is getting all shook up.
Impresario Robert F.X. Sillerman said on Thursday he agreed to buy 85 percent of Presley's estate, including rights to the singer's name and the management of his famed Graceland mansion, in a deal worth $100 million.
Sillerman, who founded and later sold radio operator SFX Broadcasting and concert promoter SFX Entertainment, will acquire the stake in Elvis Presley Enterprises from Presley's daughter, Lisa Marie Presley. He called Elvis, famed as the "King of Rock 'n' Roll" the "most significant icon in American pop culture."
As well as running Graceland, Presley's home in Memphis, Tennessee, Sillerman will own his name and likeness, the rights to his photographs and revenue from his music, TV shows and films such as "Jailhouse Rock."
The title to Graceland and its surrounding property, including most of Presley's personal effects, will remain with Lisa Marie Presley. Graceland's visitor complex and "Heartbreak Hotel" across the street will be sold.
Presley, who died at Graceland in 1977, starred in 31 films and has sold over a billion records. More than 600,000 people visit Graceland each year. Elvis Presley Enterprises generated $45 million in revenue in 2003 and $38 million in the first three quarters of this year.
Sillerman said in a statement he would pay $53 million in cash, assume $25 million of Elvis Presley Enterprises debt and pay the balance in shares.
Lisa Marie Presley said she had sought a partner for several years to help expand Elvis Presley Enterprises and hoped the deal would preserve her father's legacy.
"My greatest responsibility to my father is to preserve and protect his legacy, and this is an exciting new structure that opens up an incredible array of opportunities," she said.
Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie's mother and Presley's former wife, will remain executive consultant to the business.

By WOODY BAIRD, Associated Press Writer
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Lisa Marie Presley is keeping Graceland but selling the bulk of the Elvis estate, including rights to her father's name and image, in a deal worth approximately $100 million.
Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc. announced an agreement Thursday to sell 85 percent of its assets to businessman Robert F.X. Sillerman, founder of music and sports promoter SFX Entertainment.
The Presley estate brought in almost $45 million last year. Sillerman said more aggressive marketing, supported by capital raised through a new publicly traded company, can make Elvis an even bigger earner.
Presley occupies a unique place in American pop culture, and "I don't think there's much likelihood his influence is going to wane anytime in my lifetime," Sillerman said by telephone from New York, where he runs the Sillerman Companies.
As Presley's only child, Lisa Marie is the sole heir to the estate, most of which is now to become part of a publicly traded company that will be called CKX Inc.
The agreement will pay her $53 million in cash and absolve her of $25 million in debts owed by the estate. She also is to get shares in the new company expected to be worth more than $20 million.
Lisa Marie will retain possession of her father's home, its more than 13 acres of land and many of her father's "personal effects," an announcement on the agreement said.
"For the past few years, I've been looking for someone to join forces with to expand the many facets of (Elvis Presley Enterprises), to take it to new levels internationally and to make it an even greater force in the entertainment industry," Ms. Presley, also a singer, said in a statement.
Tours of Graceland, which gets 650,000 visitors a year, will continue unchanged. The throngs of fans drawn to Memphis each August on the anniversary of Presley's 1977 death will notice little different, Sillerman said.
Although Elvis already ranks No. 1 on the Forbes magazine list of top-earning dead celebrities, Sillerman said new markets and business opportunities may be available, including abroad.
"Does it make sense to invest in Elvis Presley enterprises in Japan? Does it make sense in Germany? Are there things that can be done in other jurisdictions in the United States?" he said. "The answer to some of the questions is obviously yes, we just don't know which ones."
Sillerman said the staff at Graceland will remain in place.
Elvis Presley Enterprises was created in 1980 by Priscilla Presley, the singer's ex-wife and mother of Lisa Marie, who was still a child then. She is to remain as a consultant to the new owners.
Sillerman founded SFX Entertainment in 1977 and ran the company until it was bought by Clear Channel Communications in 2000. He said he expected the sale to wrap up within two months, pending standard regulatory approval.

Glenn Danzig has completed the recordings for his "Black Aria 2" project, the material for which has apparently been written for five years. The album, which is currently in the mixing stage, is expected to be released in spring/summer 2005.
In other news, DANZIG are said to be considering a short U.S./European tour in the late February/March. The DANZIG-headlined "Blackest of the Black" U.S. tour, which was set to take place this past fall, has now apparently been pushed back to late 2005.
As previously reported, DANZIG and DOYLE (featuring ex-MISFITS guitarist Doyle) will be teaming up for three shows at the end of this month. Confirmed dates are as follows:
Dec. 28 – Las Vegas, NV @ The Joint (Hard Rock Casino)
Dec. 29 – Hollywood, CA @ Key Club
Dec. 30 – Los Angeles, CA @ The Wiltern Theatre
Glenn Danzig and Doyle are expected to perform a special MISFITS set at the shows, which will mark their first joint appearance in 20 years. "It's the closest thing to a MISFITS reunion anyone is ever going to see!" Danzig had previously said.

Jamie Gumbrecht of The Dallas Morning News is reporting that an arrest warrant for misdemeanor assault was issued for MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil Wednesday (Dec. 15) in connection with a beating at Gilley's Dallas in October. If convicted, Neil faces up to one year in jail and a fine of $4,000.
"I'm glad to hear it," says Michael Talbert, a Gilley's soundman who was knocked unconscious after a punch allegedly from Neil pushed him to the floor. "There's no reason, as far as I'm concerned, why anybody should act like that. I don't care if you're Vince Neil or John Doe."
During the Oct. 30 show, Neil motioned for more guitar volume but bolted across the stage as Talbert adjusted it, according to the police report attached to the warrant. He then jumped onto the soundboard and kicked at Talbert. Although the singer's foot missed, he then punched Talbert in the face, knocking the soundman unconscious for about 45 seconds.
A CAT scan showed a mild concussion, says Talbert, a 44-year-old Fort Worth resident.
Police gave the singer a criminal-trespass warning before he left the club and headed to Houston for a Halloween show.
Neil can contact authorities himself. If he doesn't, Dallas police and prosecutors said they probably will wait to act on the warrant until he returns to the area in March. His representatives did not return phone calls this week.
Earlier this month, MÖTLEY CRÜE members announced a reunion tour that will bring the band to Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie on March 17. Theater officials said this week they hadn't heard about the warrant and didn't know if an arrest could affect the show.
Neil missed the warrant by about two days; the singer was in town Monday for a private solo show at the Granada Theater. Attendees said it was a wild party but with no signs of arrests or CRÜE-style bad-boy antics. Event coordinators said he had already left town Tuesday.
"It was a pretty raging party," says Tyler Krueger, a marketing representative who planned the 600-person bash. "I had a lot of people tell me it was the best party of the year. Vince opened the show, did a great job, sounded great, just like back in the day."
MÖTLEY CRÜE's Performance On 'Video Game Awards' Was A 'Train Wreck': Video Available!
MÖTLEY CRÜE performed their hit songs "Girls, Girls, Girls" and "Dr. Feelgood" during an appearance on the Spike TV's second annual "Video Game Awards 2004" show on Tuesday, Dec. 14. According to one BLABBERMOUTH.NET visitor, "It was hilarious! During their second song, 'Dr. Feelgood', the pre-recorded background vocals (chorus) came in to the song way to early and interrupted the first verse causing one hell of a train wreck! The band didn't recover really 'till the end of the song... [Bassist] Nikki [Sixx] was shown singing and nothing was coming out, looked like his mic was off. I have always said the CRÜE relies WAY TOO much on sampled backgrounds instead of just singing it yourself. Tonight it was obvious and was embarrassing to watch." CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Due to the ever-increasing demand by talent for tickets to the AVN Awards Show, which are distributed free of charge, AVN is initiating a new policy starting with the 2005 gala.
AVN is obligated to prioritize tickets for performers who are currently active in the mainstream segment of the adult video industry. Whether newcomers or veterans, the emphasis will be placed on their having worked regularly for established companies within the last twelve months.
AVN regrets that seating everyone who has ever worked as talent in any capacity and at any time is no longer feasible.
“It’s just physically impossible for AVN to distribute free Awards tickets for any and everyone who has ever performed in front of an adult camera in a professional, semi-professional or amateur capacity,” said AVN Publisher Tim Connelly.
Active mainstream performers will have first access to the free tickets, which are distributed at the AVN booth on the Adult Entertainment Expo floor on the three days leading up to the Jan. 8 Awards Show. If, by the late afternoon of the Awards Show any tickets are left, they will be distributed to remaining talent.
“The reality is that we only have so many tickets for talent, and while we would like to accommodate everyone, we simply must give preference to those currently most active. This Awards show is about them and their work,” said AVN Managing Editor Mike Ramone, who distributes the free talent tickets.
AEE runs from Jan. 6-9 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas. The 22nd annual AVN Awards Show takes place Jan. 8 at the adjoining Venetian Hotel.
To ensure that they receive tickets, talent is encouraged to see Ramone at the AVN booth on the first and second days of AEE, and not wait until the third, which is the day of the Awards Show.

Producers are adapting Clive Barker's "Hellraiser" film series into an hourlong TV show according to Sci-Fi Wire. Larry Kuppin, whose New World Entertainment hatched the first two Hellraiser films, will executive produce with Eric Gardner.
In the series, a tabloid journalist stumbles onto a plot between the ghoulish Pinhead and a software magnate that would have dire consequences for mankind.
Dimension Films continues to own the movie franchise rights, but Gardner has represented the property since Kuppin reacquired the New World film library from Ronald Perelman in 1991. A show runner will be named shortly to script a pilot episode.

Here's to you, Darrell
The staff at ton.net are shocked and speechless at the senseless loss of Darrell and the rest of the victims from Tuesday Night...we would like to express our deepest regards and sympathy to their family and friends in this confusing and troubled time.
Johnny asked to have this posted:
I'm not really sure what to say or how to put it in words to describe what I'm feeling at the moment. The world has lost a genuine person, one of the true greats. We've lost a great friend, some have lost an idol, but more tragic than any of that, a father lost his son & Vinnie lost his brother. Since Type O Negative first toured with Pantera in 1995, both bands have remained close friends. No matter how much time would pass, whenever we would get together it always seemed like we had just seen each other the night before. Touring with them was an amazing experience that I still talk about ten years later. I have so many memories of Darrell and all of it included laughter. Hanging out with Darrell, Rita, Vinnie, Pantera and Damageplan was always an adventure. You never knew what was going to happen but it usually wound up with your stomach hurting from laughing so much and a really nasty hangover in the morning.
I know that Darrell was an amazing guitar player and many know him just for that. I would have to take a step back every once in a while to see him for that because that wasn't how I knew him. I knew him to be a very enthusiastic, generous, animated and one of the funniest guys that just happened to be one of the greatest guitarists of our time. He had a way with people that after you met him, you became a part of his family. We always considered him family and we're devastated.
Heaven definitely has its hands full now that Darrell's shown up.
Even though I have written this about Dime, I want to send our condolences to the families and friends of the others that were so senselessly taken away from us on Wednesday night.
Johnny

The family of slain DAMAGEPLAN/ex-PANTERA guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott has requested a "Kiss Kasket" for Abbott to be buried in, KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons revealed during an appearance on Fox News' "The Big Story Weekend Edition with Rita Cosby" on Saturday (Dec. 11). The coffin features the faces of the four founding members of KISS, the KISS logo and the words "Kiss Forever". A transcript of Simmons' appearance on the program follows:
Rita Cosby: Gene, it's great to see you, my friend. I wish it was under better circumstances.
Gene Simmons: Thank you, thank you.
Cosby: Now, I understand there was something special. This just came down recently. Darrell Abbott's family requested something sort of special tied with your band. Tell us about it.
Simmons: Well, I wasn't really prepared to talk about it, but the family requested, as a personal issue between the family and the grieving people who are going to be there, to send a Kiss Kasket. We initially did it as a promotion. And you know, I think it meant a lot to Darrell when, you know — when he was alive, he gave lots of people great joy. I mean he had the band tattooed onto his chest. He was a major figure in rock and roll. He's going to be greatly missed. And the family wish — you know the one last wish they had was that he be buried in a Kiss Kasket. And I think it's a private matter for the family and the fans actually.
Cosby: No, and I think that's beautiful that that's happening, too, because I'm sure, it obviously, as you said, meant a lot to him. How big of a shock was this? You know this guy really was a legend and so well respected in the industry. How big of a shock was it to you, Gene, when you heard what happened?
Simmons: You know it's about as shocking as it can get. The unfortunate thing is that the media will tend to sort of look at the visuals, you know, the flying hair and the crazy look and all of the over- the-top stuff, which is what performing is all about. But people forget that underneath all of that, actually, Darrell was a very, very sweet guy, very upstanding, very quiet in his own way, immensely talented. PANTERA was a very, very important band. And I'm sure all the fans are going to miss him very much. I know I do.
We — KISS played at the stadium in Argentina and we invited PANTERA to join us. And it was one of the highlights of any of the tours we have ever played. Darrell was just a sweet guy.
Cosby: Gene, how vulnerable are you guys to fanatical fans like this mad man who did this horrible act?
Simmons: You know people often forget that the word "fan" actually comes from the word "fanatical". Most people are very nice. Most people respect your privacy. But here's no secret, most celebrities check into hotels under pseudonyms and the reason is not because I don't love the fans but because you've got to be able to keep everybody at arm's length because every once in a while you're going to get a nut job. The only justice, as far as I'm concerned is that this nut case is no longer around to do this to anybody else.
The unfortunate thing about the judicial system, if you'll allow me, is that, if he were caught, somebody would bring up the point he had a troubled childhood and that we should rehabilitate him. And I'm not a fan of that, I have to say. Whether he was troubled or not, if you resort to violence and you kill somebody, you should be taken off the face of the earth.
Cosby: No, and it is — absolutely, I agree with you. How do you protect yourself, Gene? I mean you talk about this balance — you got so many wonderful fans, you in particular, you know, folks — and you want to have that access, you want to have that one-on-one. But then there's that wild one all of a sudden who does something horrible. How do you find that balancing act?
Simmons: You've got to be able to separate the fact from the fiction, the stage histrionics from the private life. When you walk down the street, you've got to be aware that everybody is not necessarily your best friend and then — you know, sometimes somebody is going to have an ulterior motive, which is why when you check into a hotel, you have to do it under an assumed name. And when you go some place big and public and where there are lots of people, you've got to take security with you both for legal issues. I mean if I did something with this fist to somebody who was getting in my face —- and I'm 6-foot-2. I'm not shy. If you get in my face, I'll take you out. You literally can't do that. You've got to be able to have a buffer, somebody else between you and somebody who's — you know who's being improper.
Celebrity is not everything that everybody believes it is. It is a precarious position in life. But, you know we do it because we love it.
Cosby: And Gene Simmons, we love you and thank you so much for coming here and talking about this. We appreciate it.
Simmons: I just want to say one last thing, which is.
Cosby: Yes, real quick if you could, Gene.
Simmons: Our hearts and our best wishes go out to the family. He was a great guy. He's going to be sorely missed.
Cosby: Thank you, Gene, very much, and he definitely will. And we appreciate you're coming here. Thank you, Gene, very much.

Shawn Ashmore, who played Bobby "Iceman" Drake in the X-Men movies, told SCI FI Wire that he's contractually obligated to reprise his role in a third film, but doesn't know the status of the sequel. The sequel went into limbo when X-Men and X2 director Bryan Singer dropped out to helm Superman Returns. "I'm signed to do the film," Ashmore confirmed in an interview while promoting his latest project, SCI FI Channel's upcoming original miniseries Legend of Earthsea. "But I have no idea what the script is like or who the director will be."
Whenever a third X-Men movie comes together, Ashmore said he hopes that the film will expand on the growing rivalry between Drake and John "Pyro" Allerdyce (Aaron Stanford). "I think that's a great opportunity for the two elements," Ashmore said. "Also, I like the relationship with Rogue [Anna Paquin]. I think it's not a typical teenage love story, because there is so much against them. They are in a relationship that they can't rush, so the tension there is a lot of fun."
Ashmore also had thoughts about Singer's decision to leave. "I think it's difficult, because he really crafted the first two films," he said. "It will be difficult to lose someone that had such a huge influence on the movies. [But] I also think it will be interesting to get some new blood in, [someone] with a different vision, as long as they stay true to the original comics. I don't think they should jump too far from Bryan's films, because people will think it's weird if they [make a new film that's] totally different from the first two. Bryan definitely set up a great franchise."

(Chatsworth, CA): He’s been known for wrecking rectums the world over and showing his more sensitive side in his Showtime reality series “Family Business,” but Seymore Butts has taken on a new role in his ever-expanding career. Meet Seymore Butts: Movie Star in the upcoming mainstream movie Slaughter Party!
“I played detective Donovan, who was investigating a series of murders with his partner detective page, played by Rick Drayzen, who is an ex professional wrestler. I think I was involved in about 9 – 12 scenes. It was a role I felt I could sink my penis – I mean, teeth – into. So they had me running around in 110 degree heat in the desert chasing bikini clad women. I won’t tell you why I was chasing them.”
So it wasn’t that much of a departure.
“Exactly,” Seymore laughs. “And while I don't want to give it away, I will say that I'm very proud of the finale.”
Chris Watson, the producer of Slaughter Party, felt that Seymore was a natural for his role in the flick, which is about a mad doctor who created a killer midget that’s murdering scantily-clad hotties.
“I was a big fan of ‘Family Business’ and had a lot of admiration for what Seymore had done and is doing in the adult business,” says Watson. “He fit the role well. We’re all impressed with the job that he did.”
So how does Seymore feel that his mainstream career compares to his adult entertainment career?
“Well of course in my movies there’s never any lines to memorize, and considering the fact that I’ve spent a lot of time in Amsterdam my short ter
