BACK COVER
With a story that is a parody of 50 First Dates and the girls are on the prowl for the male star identified simply as Diablo and every morning he wakes he forgets the names and the escpapades of the girls who ply him with passion nightly for just under 2 months. As a victim of amnesia, Diablo is serviced by the women that want to refresh his memory. Every scene features hot 3 way sex and climaxes in one massive orgy of proportions unseen since the 70s. The twist is in the end; Amy played by Talia Juliette loses her memory. Could a sequel be far behind? Depending on how the DVD is received Zander does not rule it out.
The 2-hour plus feature is going on sale next Tuesday and was shot primarily on location in Las Vegas as well as Chicago, with principle photography by Karlton. All Ultra ViXXXen Pictures DVD's will include industrial rock soundtrack music with a music video as a bonus. The music video for Forgetful Fuckin Amy was shot in Chicago by director Phellon Bayle and was written by Alex Zander and performed by the duo Cured By Porno. AZ really wants to ad a new twist to hardcore by combining original rock music and no hold barred intense gonzo style sex. With the ever growing connection between rock and porn Ultra ViXXXen Pictures promises to incorporate both genres into the productions with future contributions by industry favorites Bile, Zeromancer, and Too Dark Mark as well as members of other soon to be named rock bands.
The steaming sex scenes are enhanced by wicccan and pagan imagery, bloodletting and evil tainted themes into storylines.
"I wanted to make films that look like my dreams and nightmares which are bent on eroticism., states the director. Besides, I get to work closely with the ladies I appreciate the most and that alone are rewarding enough.

The Voodoo Organist (Scott Wexton) is touring the states in support of his third CD, Holy Ghost Town, was released February 15, 2005 on his newly renamed label, Voodoo Man Music, and is again being distributed by Dead Teenager Records.
Its his most potent album to date, with 13 tracks that samba and slither through a decadent palette of musical styles. Using a whiskey-soaked growl, a vintage organ with bass pedals, a theremin and various rhythm devices, Wexton tells tales of sin and temptation, drugs and debauchery, murderous stalkers and lonesome highways; and through it all you will want to dance like the Devil.
Review from MK Magazine:
Return Of The Voodoo Organist
www.voodooorganist.com
Every once in a great while you get a CD from an act youve never heard of, and when you hear the first song you know its going to be an instant favorite. This is one of those CDs. And I dont get them very often. From the first song Breakdown 2003 the Voodoo Organist (Scott Wexton) very unique organ style is the sound of a Sunday morning church service in Hell, in a very light manner. His vocal stylings are like that of Mojo Nixon, Tom Waits and Nick Cave wrapped up in one package. It has a very 50s b-movie soundtrack aura sounding as if it would be something that could very well be Tim Burtons dream lounge lizard.
All organ and vocals over drum tracks and Maracas this is going to be party music for my events for a long time to come. Some of the songs sound like a fire and brimstone Pentecostal Bible thumper is going to scare the bejesus out of you and sometimes as in the Pitchfork Man just makes you want to put on a costume and dance around a candle lit room with your mushroom eating friends. Today is Not the Day has a southwestern flavor that urges you to get up and snap your fingers, clap your hands and click your feet.
But to clearly get the message I get every time I play the Voodoo Organist has to be heard to understand. Take it from me, no matter what youre into, you cannot help but get into the music and cant help but play it over and over. Everyone Ive played it for agrees, and there is no way Im lending this one out, as I may never get it back.
This CD receives MKs highest recommendation for purchase so far this year. Alex Zander

Launch Radio Networks is reporting Trent Reznor has sold the New Orleans mansion that he lived in for 10 years for $1.8 million, according to the Associated Press. Reznor put the Garden District house up for sale last September and moved to Los Angeles after a contentious split with longtime friend and manager John Malm, with whom he co-founded Nothing Records. Reznor has also parted ways with the label amidst a storm of lawsuits between himself and Malm. Their cases are pending in federal court.
The house, located at 2425 Coliseum Street, was visited by over 100 potential buyers, although the realtor began screening them to weed out fans looking for a glimpse inside Reznor's home.
The four-bedroom house, originally built in 1850, covered 4,900 square feet and also featured three-and-a-half baths, an outdoor pool and sound system, a two-car garage and numerous renovations. The interior decor was described as "Gothic/Victorian."
Although the final price was less than the $1.975 million Reznor was originally seeking, he still reportedly made $500,000 on the sale. The buyer was a "high-profile" resident of New Orleans whose name was not revealed.
The new NINE INCH NAILS album, "With Teeth", arrives in stores on May 3. There is a listening party for the entire album tonight at Chicagos Club Metro 3730 N. Clark. As of 1 PM this afternoon there was already a line. Doors open at 6PM.

After last year's cancellation, touring summer concert grows roots.
After scrapping an entire tour last year because of poor ticket sales, Lollapalooza is plotting a comeback this summer as a "destination" festival on a par with Coachella and Bonnaroo.
Instead of hitting amphitheaters as it has in summers
past, the pioneering touring festival of the 1990s will grow roots and scale back to a two-day event in Chicago's Grant Park on July 23 and 24, according to an event spokesperson.
Organizers have not yet announced the lineup for the festival, which they expect to reveal near the end of April.
Following five years off, Lollapalooza returned to amphitheaters in 2003 with a lineup that featured Queens of the Stone Age and Incubus. Last summer, organizers scrapped the entire tour due to slow ticket sales for a roster that included Morrissey, PJ Harvey, Modest Mouse, the String Cheese Incident, the Flaming Lips and Sonic Youth.
Festival co-founder, former Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell, is once again on board as a creative consultant for the Chicago dates.

According to Revolver magazine, Glenn Danzig recently completed the screenplay for "Gerouge", a voodoo-horror tale set in 1904 New Orleans and based on a Verotik title (Danzig's comic company). The film will mark Danzig's directing debut as well. "It's a period piece, so it's not just a horror movie," he told Revolver. "There's a lot going on in it. But there are some really gruesome scenes, too. The singer-turned-multimedia-menace is hoping for a theatrical release, but confesses, "I'm just going out to do a good movie, and whatever happens after that, I've gotta live with it."
In his big screen debut, Glenn played the role of Samayel in The Prophecy II (1998) starring Christopher Walken.
Danzig is also preparing to release "Black Aria II", the sequel to his 1993 venute into classical composition. "It's based on the story of Lilith, the first wife of Adam," he said. "I've had it written for four or five years. Finally I made time in my career to do it. I'm just happy to get it out my system and on CD.

HOLLYWOOD - Courtney Love is attached to star as Linda Lovelace in a film based on her life tentatively titled Lovelace, according to a report in todays Daily Variety.
The project is being developed through Jason Blum's Blumhouse Productions and will trace Lovelace's life from 17 until she died in 2002 at 53, the report said.
Inside Deep Throat producer Brian Grazer originally wanted to produce a Lovelace film. He optioned her autobiography, "Ordeal," but eventually rejected that approach as too depressing, according to the news magazine. Directed by Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, Inside Deep Throat has earned just under $600,000 since its release Feb. 11, Daily Variety reported.

Porn Valley- With certain exceptions, the porn documentary has been this ongoing kiss of death proposition. I know because I used to see the whole dead man walking vibe in play. The porn documentary was porn's black hole of Calcutta. Bore me to death projects came, bore me to death projects went, few were actually ever seen, and a lack of interest pretty much took care of the rest. Every time I'd turn around there was a new documentary being shot, or being hyped, or being pitched.
Why most of these attempted looks at porn failed or just got lost in the shuffle are probably stories you could, well, devote a website to. But there are also the exceptions as well. Like the Johnny Wadd documentary about John Holmes- a highly controversial subject made legendary by Holmes' ambiguous pulp fiction lifestyle. It's really good stuff, and it didn't hurt to have solid writing and a colorful cast of characters assembled together to spin gripping post mortem Holmes yarns and anecdotes, either.
Whereas the marvelous Holmes documentary assesses the man, Inside Deep Throat, www.xxxdeepthroat.com, the newest docu on the block, looks at an era in an attempt to assess how a mob-financed movie about cocksucking manages to become the most summoned motif for a generation devoted to thumbing your nose at authority. Let me guess. Lavish cocksucking, Sammy Davis Jr., Nixon and the mob being the operative words here.
And then you have Desperately Seeking Seka, far less lavish in scope than either Wadd or Inside Deep Throat, but pretty good, just the same, at rinsing the washcloth of nostalgia. Hey, and the subject is still alive which is a pretty good plus, though I can't say the same for some of the other participants involved in this venture.
Desperately Seeking Seka, which is being released this week from The Disinformation Company, is really Seka finally coming to grips with being interviewed. Seka, over the years, at least from some of the fireside chats I heard in the past, never seemed to get the hang of smooth.

Rob Zombie's upcoming The Devil's Rejects, the spin-off to House of 1000 Corpses, is not only headed to theaters this summer (July 22)- but it's also coming to your local comic shop too! Not only has Rob Zombie begun working on the comic, which will debut at the San Diego Comic Con, but he is working on A Director's Diary: The making of The Devil's Rejects, a book he is writing. Read on for details on both!
Rob writes in his blog:
"Well, it never ends. As we speak I am writing stories for the Devil's Rejects comic book. This will premeire at the San Diego comic con. These will be stories taken from the characters bios that you can find on the official site. So keep an eye out.
Also in the works is A Director's Diary: The making of The Devils's rejects. This is a book about the making of the film, but instead of doing the typical film book I am compiling around my own script rare photos, blueprints, designs and other stuff no one ever sees. The script is my personal script with all my handwritten notes and changes wihile shooting. I think this will be a really cool thing for anyone into film and what goes on behind the scenes."

HOWARD Stern is planning "the biggest tailgate party in the history of this country" to serve as a "farewell tour" when he abandons conventional radio later this year or sooner.
"I'm coming to town. I'm ready to go. Let me out of here," Stern told listeners Friday, promising a coast-to-coast motorcade of buses bearing "the hottest chicks in the country" and various rock bands.
"It's gonna be unbelievable I'm telling you, the day they throw me off, it happens the next day," Stern said, referring to speculation that his current employer Viacom's Infinity Broadcasting won't wait until his official satellite-radio start date of Jan. 1 to take him off K-Rock and 38 other stations.
"It's a brilliant publicity scheme P.T. Barnum couldn't have done better," Inside Radio editor Tom Taylor told The Post.
"Stern understands promotion like no one in the country," Taylor said.
"He knows he's an anti-authority brand and the more outrageous the better in terms of publicity for his new employer [Sirius Satellite Radio]."
Stern, who'd been on good behavior in recent weeks after Infinity pounded him for incessantly promoting the enemy he now refers to Sirius as "uh-uh-uh" exploded with enthusiasm as he detailed his "farewell tour."
"I'm not gonna sleep in hotels, I'm gonna sleep in people's homes," he said, resulting in immediate calls from listeners offering lodging and one volunteering to help with security.
"I'm really gonna be with the people, and any hot chicks I meet on the road are allowed to be in the buses, and I'll collect them all over the country.
"By the time I get to California, it'll be busloads of, like, 5,000 of the hottest chicks in the country," Stern vowed.
"It could go on for weeks, and I can see all the local papers and local TV people covering it," said Inside Radio's Taylor, "because Howard's one of the few people who can generate that sort of following."
Indeed, "Access Hollywood" producer Tara Birney asked for permission to air exclusive daily updates and, when told by Stern that she'd basically have to take a number, said, "Remember, we were the first to ask."
Stern said he'll award exclusive coverage to "whoever provides the hottest entertainment reporters."

Word has it that ALICE COOPER drummer Tommy Clufetos has joined ROB ZOMBIE's touring lineup for this year's Ozzfest. Joining Cluefetos and Zombie in the new formation will be former MARILYN MANSON guitarist John 5. It is not presently clear who will be handling bass duties for Zombie's band at this summer's festival.
Clufetos has reportedly laid down the drum tracks for the new ALICE COOPER album, "Dirty Diamonds", but wil be replaced on COOPER's upcoming tour by returning skinsman Eric Singer (KISS).

NINE INCH NAILS frontman Trent Reznor spoke to Canada's Chart Attack last week about the group's new album, "With Teeth", and NIN's current tour of more "intimate" venues.
Nine Inch Nails fans who were lucky (or rich) enough to snap up tickets for the sold out North American spring club tour will be treated to an "off the cuff, bombastic" live show, according to NINs Trent Reznor.
Speaking to ChartAttack in Los Angeles last week about his new album, With Teeth, Reznor admitted the intimate venues were chosen partly because he didnt know how much demand there was for NIN in 2005.
"We wanted to do it because its fun, I like playing those size shows," he explained. "But also we really werent sure how big a venue we could play. We were kind of seeing how tickets went for this and if it warranted coming back."
Since tickets for the tour which features The Dresden Dolls and hits Torontos Kool Haus May 9 and 10 sold out in mere minutes its pretty clear that demand remains high for Nine Inch Nails even after a lengthy absence. Reznor has already announced a larger North American tour after their summer European dates.
"I would imagine on the fall tour it will be more thought out, and probably the production will be up several notches, but thats all hypothesis," he said.
With Teeth is the long-awaited follow-up to 1999s double album, The Fragile. Produced by Reznor with Alan Moulder, it features guest drumming by Foo Fighter Dave Grohl and Jeremone Dillon. The first single, "The Hand That Feeds," has started spinning on alternative rock radio this week. The track is a heavy jolt of electronic menace that satisfies this finicky long-time NIN fan, but its immediate appeal had some listeners worried about a new mainstream direction. Reznor suggests they settle down.
"Well, there are no songs like that on The Fragile," he laughs. "Hand That Feeds has an immediacy to it. The good part of it is, is that you can latch onto it. The bad part of it is that thats what burns out the quickest. Someone leaked it on the internet and I made the mistake of being led to some fucking discussion boards of people bitching about what it sounds like. Fuck you. Out of the context of the album, its probably the most accessible thing Ive done, so I understand your concerns. But the copy that got out was off a cassette and it sounded terrible. Having a smattering of stuff that goes from accessible to things that are more unusual, more interesting, I think thats good. It wasnt a calculated attempt to get on the radio."
With Teeth is scheduled for North American release May 3. "The Hands That Feeds" will be available as a U.K. single on April 18 and is now available to download in Canada.

Nine Inch Nails' warmup show in Reno Thurday night was a virtual who's who of the concert industry. In attendance were heavy hitters Michael Rapino, President of Clear Channel, Coachella promoter and Goldenvoice owner Paul Tollett, the Hollywood Bowl's Andrew Hewitt, Avalon Attractions' Brian Murphy and Another Planet's Gregg Perloff. Who knew all these guys were such big NIN fans?

Nine Inch Nails leader Trent Reznor told Rolling Stone during last year's Grammy weekend that he was "coming back to combat all the shitty music out there." Well, it took thirteen months, but, last night, Reznor brought the fight back to his most effective battleground, returning to the stage at the William Saroyan Theatre in Fresno, California.
Backed by the newest incarnation of his ever-evolving band, Reznor debuted material from the group's long-awaited, With Teeth, due May 3rd, and delved liberally into his back catalogue for a ferocious eighty-minute set.
A buffed-up and black-clad Reznor took the stage at nine to a standing ovation from the capacity crowd, most of whom were also in black and wearing NIN shirts from past tours. He opened with a one-two punch of two new tracks: "Love Is Not Enough" and the brutal "You Know What You Are," a song whose venom recalls John Lennon's "How Do You Sleep." Despite the fact the majority of the crowd hadn't heard the new material, they quickly picked up on the latter track's refrain of, "Don't you fucking know what you are," turning it into one of the many of the night's sing-alongs.
The energy in the theater mounted with a savage "March of the Pigs" -- although Reznor, performing for the first time in more than four years, wore a huge grin as he sang the line, "Doesn't it make you feel better." Reznor acknowledged his absence from the stage simply by saying, "It's been a long fucking time," to a roar of cheers. He added, "This is an old favorite -- of mine, that is," before launching into "Burn," from the Natural Born Killers soundtrack.
Before the new album's title track, a scathing look at a relationship's broken promises, Reznor approached the microphone like a prize fighter, psyching himself out with a yell and jumping up and down as the four musicians behind him began the opening notes. The song moves from a booming rock beat to a tender keyboard interlude, with Reznor singing repeatedly, "I can't go through this again."
Among the other new songs debuted were "The Hand That Feeds," which mixed Reznor's snarl with an infectious pop beat that even prompted a few women in the audience to start dancing, and the distortion-laden "The Lines Begin to Blur." As for classic material, NIN offered up "Closer," "Terrible Lie," "Piggy," "Wish" and "Starfuckers, Inc.," among other hits.
The crowd stayed with Reznor and mates in the softer moments as well, breaking out lighters old-school style for a sing-along rendition of "Hurt," which found the frontman behind a keyboard at center stage.
The night ended at 10:30, surprisingly sans encore, with a raucous performance of "Head Like a Hole." Actually, no encore was necessary, as Reznor and band had made their point: Nine Inch Nails are back.

Welcome Pilgrims. Listen here to my tale about the Duke that couldve been a Diva. This is my theory of John Wayne an American Icon.
I can remember back when I was a kid and my dad taking us to the drive in. I felt like we HAD to watch every John Wayne movie ever made, in the 70s at least. But something about his image just never seemed right to me about this big, tough, and macho man who had a passion for rawhide and leather. For JW wearing leather chaps and handkerchiefs around his neck wasnt uncommon. But as a young pre-teen and even into and through my adolescence I didnt see any significance. This wasnt until early last year when I was browsing through my video guides did I notice John Wayne movie titles that seemed a little, we; should I say homosexual. (Not that theres anything wrong with it.) When I looked further into his film titles I found there were 66 titles that could very well make good titles for Gay Porno films.
Maybe it just a hunch, or just a funny thought, or maybe he was a closet duke. Use your own judgment by viewing the selected titles listed here and decide for yourself.

For the first time in 13 years, the entire "Among the Living" lineup of ANTHRAX Joey Belladonna (vocals), Frank Bello (bass), Charlie Benante (drums), Scott Ian (guitar) and Dan Spitz (guitar) will gather together in one room to discuss new music releases, as well as the future plans for this monumental ANTHRAX reunion.
This history-making ANTHRAX global press conference and luncheon will take place on April 1, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. EST/11:00 a.m. PST at Sirius Satellite Radio in New York City. This media blitz, which will broadcast simultaneously on Hard Attack/27, Sirius Satellite Radio's extreme heavy metal station, has a dedicated telephone line, (866) 510-5377, available for overseas and out-of-state journalists to call in their questions and speak directly with ANTHRAX.
The ANTHRAX global press conference and luncheon will officially kick off "Spreading the Anthrax Weekend" on Hard Attack/27, where millions will hear it first.
At the conclusion of the ANTHRAX global press conference and luncheon, ANTHRAX will make an important statement regarding the U.S. Government and the Anthrax Vaccine. ANTHRAX has teamed up with Slave to the Metal Foundation to bring public awareness to the dangers of the Anthrax Vaccine. The newly legislated "BioShield Act" (July, 2004) allows the Department of Health and Human Services to inject American citizens with Anthrax Vaccines and other untested and unapproved substances without informed consent, using our military as first line guinea pigs. Experts will be at the conference to discuss this with attendees.
Twice Grammy-nominated, MTV/VMA nominees and multi-platinum- and gold-awarded music veterans ANTHRAX have sold over 10 million records worldwide over the course of nine studio albums, two live albums, three greatest hits, and two DVDs. Touring pros ANTHRAX performed on over fifty tours spanning the globe in 32 countries on five continents, including Europe, North America, South America, Australia and Asia.
ANTHRAX's "Among the Living" lineup has scheduled the following dates:
Apr. 30 Chicago, IL @ House of Blues
May 01 Chicago, IL @ House of Blues
May 07 Hellendoorn, NETH @ Dynamo Open Air
Jun. 09-11 Sölvesborg, SWE @ Sweden Rock
Jun. 11-12 Bologna, ITA @ Gods of Metal
Jun. 11 - Donington Park, UK @ Download
Jun. 24-26 Le Mans, FRA @ Fury Fest
Jun. 24-16 Tolmin, SLO @ Metal Camp

Billboard.com is reporting that NINE INCH NAILS has drafted Photek and DFA to remix tracks from the group's upcoming album, "With Teeth", due May 3 via Interscope. Photek has remixed first single "The Hand That Feeds", while it is unknown what tracks DFA has tackled.
"I met Rupert [Parkes of Photek] during the mixing of 'With Teeth'. I've always loved his work and [he] was the first person I thought of when the top of remixing came up," NIN's Trent Reznor wrote on the band's official web site. He added that DFA is "doing the most interesting production work out there, in my opinion."
Reznor also revealed that "With Teeth" will be available as both a regular CD and a DualDisc, the latter of which will feature "higher resolution stereo mixes as well as surround mixes I was involved in." The video for "The Hand That Feeds" will also be included.
"As far as the packaging, we're doing something that feels right to me but deviates from the norm," Reznor said. "I have always thought the format of the CD effectively put an end to album artwork. [So] we designed something that feels in touch with how people experience music in 2005. We will be opening ourselves up for criticism here but I assure you when you see the big picture, it will all make sense."

MOTÖRHEAD will be issuing a 30th anniversary DVD on July 4 via SPV Records. The two-disc set will feature the band's December 2004 concert in Düsseldorf, Germany on one disc and a documentary feature on the second disc. More information will be made available soon.
MOTÖRHEAD are planning to commemorate the milestone with a concert at London's Hammersmith Odeon on June 16. Female metal group GIRLSCHOOL will also be on the bill. Frontman Lemmy told Launch Radio Networks that the rest of the lineup is still tentative, although he'd like British metal band SAXON to be on the bill.
As previously reported, MOTÖRHEAD's legendary "Ace of Spades" LP is the focus of Eagle Entertainment's latest installment of its "Classic Album" DVD series. Released on Tuesday (March 22), "Ace of Spades: Classic Album" sees bandmembers Lemmy, "Fast" Eddie Clarke and Philip "Philthy Animal" Taylor talking candidly about the writing and recording of the album and the goings on inside the MOTÖRHEAD camp at the time. Watch "Fast" Eddie as he demonstrates how the riff for "Ace of Spades" came about, and see the trio (with the help of modern technology) together on the same stage once again. Each song on the album is discussed and tales from the studio/road are remembered. Bonus material consists of live instrumental versions of "(We Are) The Road Crew" and "The Chase Is Better Than The Catch", performed exclusively for the DVD, and "A Piece Of Lemmy's Mind" interview from Hollywood's Rainbow Room. Extended interviews with Slash (GUNS N' ROSES, VELVET REVOLVER), Lars Ulrich (METALLICA) and Dave Brock (HAWKWIND) peek deeper into MOTÖRHEAD's songwriting process, the man that is Lemmy Kilmister and the story of how he was "relieved of his position" as bassist in HAWKIND. "Ace of Spades: Classic Album" has a list price of $14.98 and a total running time of 50 minutes plus bonus footage.

Former MARILYN MANSON guitarist John 5 has announced that he will be playing guitar for ROB ZOMBIE on the Hot Topic Second stage at this year's Ozzfest.
"I'm totally estatic about having the opportunity to play with Rob on Ozzfest!" John 5 said in a statement. "He has been one of my favorite artists for the longest time. I had the opportunity to play with him a few weeks back, and never thought that I would have the chance to share the stage with him playing the ZOMBIE songs we all know and love!"
When asked what this meant for LOSER, John's new band, he said, "This will not affect LOSER in any way. We are still pressing forward with writing new material for our debut album."
Commented Zombie: "I haven't really officially said this yet but once again I will be hitting the road with Ozzfest. This time I've decided to headline the second stage. Main is a drag, man. It's so uptight that it is almost a bore. I can't wait to get away from the fucking seat and play to all the maniacs that are always trapped up on the lawn. This should be insane.
"There are some lineup changes this time around. John 5 of ex-MARILYN MANSON fame will be handling guitar duties this time out. I'm totally stoked about this because this guy is a fucking shredder. I played 'Thunder Kiss 65' with him at The Arrowhead Pond Arena for a benefit a couple weeks back and it never sounded so fucking good."

* Photo gallery
* Lyrics
The LP (vinyl) version of the album is scheduled to come out a week earlier, on April 26.
According to a post on MTV.com, beginning on March 26 in Los Angeles, fans will be able to attend special NIN-sponsored listening parties in 13 metropolises across the U.S., where they will receive a "limited edition" gift. And if you preorder the album at one of the listening parties, you'll also get a seven-inch vinyl single featuring the first single, "The Hand That Feeds", and "Home", a nonalbum track. A full list of cities hosting the parties can be found on NIN.com.
In other news, Audiohead.net has posted a new article/interview with Trent Reznor regarding the recording of "With Teeth". Specific topics regarding the recording process of "With Teeth" are engaged. A sample quote from Reznor follows: "The idea of trying to work with tape is stupid to me, seems archaic and is not something I want to embrace. But I do think you can take the aesthetic of humanity and imperfection and spontenaity, and use it with computers. And that's in kind of a rough, raw way one of the things we've stumbled into with this record."

I LOVE RICH are proud to announce that they are having our record release show this Wed March 23rd @ the Double Door in Chicago. It's going to rock you like a hurricane, so we would advise you to go unless you want to miss out on rock and roll history .
Armed with new song titles such as. If Loving Me is Wrong (You Don't Wanna' be Right") and "Make Out City", "The Year Of The Rich" is poised to be the biggest return to glam rock since The Darkness, only ILR does it better, has done it longer and makes it a lot more fun than the European platinum selling band.
Formed by vocalist/bassist Rich (just Rich as in Cher and Madonna) and drummer extraordinaire Drew Blood, I Love Rich immediately took to the fans with a sound that was a unique blend of The Ramones, KISS and early 80's Hanoi Rocks. With songs that were catchy as well as kitschy, and an energetic stage show that is more 80's cock-rock than pop punk, ILR gathered a fan base that still follows them today and continues to grow. Since their debut on the scene, the bands music has been raved by press the world over. The band has gone on to open numerous shows for such notable national acts the likes of Nashville Pussy, Night Ranger, Pretty Boy Floyd, Electric Frankenstein, The Quadrajets, The Queers, Cheetah Chrome, Boris the Sprinkler, Sloppy Seconds, The Meatmen, The Murder Junkies, Antiseen and many others
"The Year Of The Rich", is the much anticipated follow up to 2001's "The Greatest Rock N Roll Album Of All Time" which followed the bands 1996's live debut "Live, Wet, Drippin' With Sweat", a 12-song collection supposedly recorded live in Cambodia and rumored to be the biggest selling cassette in that countries history. Upon the release of the album the first leg of the "Make Out City Tour" will begin.
The new album is out now on Sonic Wave International and on sale at such stores as Best Buy, Tower, Borders, Wherehouse, FYE, Sam Goody, Amazon.com, CD NOW, Music Boulevard, CD Universe, Sonic Wave America on-line stores, and many regional and independent retail chains. You can also order it at www.sonicwaveintl.com
The band also have completed their new video for the single "Let's Get It On Tonight" which was shot at Darkroom by Paul Baio. Look for it online and on some of your local cable TV music video programs very soon.

Call them ambient world beat; call them goth; call them pop. If you never could figure out which genre best describes Dead Can Dance, you've got another chance to see them live and perhaps decide where they fit.
The duo of Lisa Gerrard and Brenden Parry have been playing shows around Europe since the second week of March and will be bringing DCD to the United States in September. This is the first tour the group has done in nearly a decade.
DCD will finish up the European leg of their tour in London, playing a show at the Barbican Concert Hall and then at the The Forum on April 6 and 7, respectively.
The North American tour starts in the fall when DCD hits the Paramount Theatre in Seattle for two shows on September 17 and 18.
From there, they will work their way South, playing a number of dates in California and then doing one show in Mexico City at the Auditorio Nacional on September 29. A few dates will follow in Canada and then on to New England and Washington, D.C. The tour wraps October 10 at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago.
Dead Can Dance began in 1981 when Parry and Gerrard met in Melbourne, Australia. Shortly thereafter, they moved to London in search of a record contract. They were signed by iconic 4AD Records founder Ivo Watts-Russell in 1983 and released their eponymous debut the following year.
They're music was quickly associated with modern gothic music like Joy Division and Souxsie and The Banshees but DCD themselves have expressed frustration with occasionally being labeled a "goth band."
Over their 17 year career, DCD developed a style of music that had as much in common with music of the European Renaissance and the Middle East than that of the nightclubs '80's London. They never completely reliquished modern technology but incorporated it into their music - so something like the droning of a hurdy-gurdy over electronic music was hardly foreign to them.
Eventually, Parry moved to Ireland and Gerrard returned to Australia. In 1998 - two years after their last tour - DCD announced their break-up.
During that time, Parry worked on various solo projects. Gerrard, who had previously done work scoring music for the movies, continued composing for a number of films, including 2000's Gladiator, for which she received a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination.
DCD are documenting the current tour through Europe. Each show is being recorded and the live CDs are released in limited quantities of 500 per show. No announcement yet as to whether or not the North American dates will be recorded.

Robert Rodriguez, who co-directed the upcoming comic-inspired Sin City, defended the film's violence in comments to reporters over the weekend. "It is so over the top and stylized, like in the book, that's what helped temper it," Rodriguez said in a news conference. "It was so black and white, so abstract, so representative, that it's ... easier to watch, I think, than if ... it was realistically rendered. It's the tone of it, I think, that really changes it."
Sin City is based on the series of noirish graphic novels by Frank Miller, who co-directed the movie with Rodriguez (Desperado, Spy Kids). The film faithfully depicts several scenes of violence, including shootings, dismemberments, decapitations and beatings. But like the comic, the violence is rendered in stark black and white and often in silhouette.
Rodriguez said that the violence is stylized in the manner of his earlier films, including Desperado. "I never got any flak for Desperado . ... At a time when people would criticize guys like Quentin [Tarantino] for violence in films for cutting an ear off, off camera, I was mowing down people in my movies and no one ever said anything because of the tone," he said. "And I think that's the same thing for this, that as violent as it is, like in the comic, it felt tempered by the stylization. And that's why we didn't have any trouble with the MPAA [which gave the movie an R rating] or anything, because it was so stylized that they just went, 'This is all right. ... You don't have to cut a frame of it.'"
But Rodriguez agreed that Sin City isn't for children. "Young people shouldn't see it," he said. "It's a rated R movie. ... I'm not making it for that [family] audience. ... I made this an R. I didn't try and trick people into making it a PG-13. ... If parents let their kids in, that's their decision. But that doesn't mean that I'm going to change how we're going to make the movie. Frank made his thing in a vacuum, ... and I wanted to do the exact same thing for cinema and suffer the consequences. If people don't go see it because it's R, that's fine. It's not appealing to the mass audience. It's really just about making the movie we want to make and telling the story that we want to do. " Sin City opens April 1.

Jessica Alba offered details about her character, scientist Susan Storm/The Invisible Woman, in Fox's upcoming Fantastic Four movie. "Fantastic Four is a family movie. I play a scientist who has a problem expressing her emotions, and her DNA was altered, so when she does express her emotions she goes invisible," Alba said in a news conference to promote her next film, Sin City. "So when she's screaming, she goes invisible. When she's having a meltdown, she goes invisible."
The film is based on the Marvel Comics series of the same name, and Alba's character is one of four astronauts who become superheroes after their space mission encounters mysterious waves that alter their bodies. Alba said of her character, "she's completely frustrated. And the man that she's in love with ignores her, then she goes invisible. So it's very frustrating. ... [The film is] very big, and it's a huge, huge movie for Fox, and there's a lot of pressure that it does well."
In Sin City, Alba (TV's Dark Angel) plays an exotic dancer who finds herself targeted by a deranged criminal. Sin City opens April 1.

HANOI ROCKS frontman Michael Monroe has posted the following message on his official web site:
"We just got back a couple of weeks ago from our European Tour which was quite a success. We played in over 10 different countries and made a lot of new friends and fans, plus had a lot of fun since having Conny Bloom and A.C. in the band is the best thing that's ever happened to us. Now this band truly rocks and just keeps getting better all the time!
"Now, about the change of the website address: Due to certain past circumstances, the address 'hanoirocks.com' is owned by undesirable individuals ultimately set out to hurt us. Like now for example, just as were starting to do well with a brilliant new album coming out and a killer live band they shut down the site claiming there are unpaid bills, when in fact not one bill has been sent to us yet!
"Unlike our previous 'damagement' we believe in paying our bills. This is all very predictable and reminds me of what my one time dear old friend, the late great Stiv Bators used to say: 'The closer you get to a real good thing, the more the 'Little Demons' try to mess with you!'
"So hereby we eliminate the 'hanoirocks.com' with all its problems and the new only official HANOI ROCKS website address tentatively starting this Tuesday, the 22nd of March is www.hanoiproductions.com.
"Spread the word, my friends!"

A 42-year-old KISS fan from Frankfurt was dismissed from the German reality TV show "Big Brother" because his tattoo of the original KISS logo was deemed too similar to the symbol used by Nazi stormtroopers during World War II.
In an official statement, RTL 2, the German TV station responsible for producing the "Big Brother" show, said, "'Big Brother' is family entertainment. When RTL 2 has reason to believe that wrong implications or inferences could be made in connection with this show, or that our viewers could be offended by the program, we have the responsibility to act."
To avoid being banned from touring or selling records in Germany, KISS were forced to change their logo on all German releases beginning with 1980's "Unmasked" so the lightning-bolt "SS" didn't resemble the Nazi logo, according to KISS fan site SKKK. KISS members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, both of whom are Jewish, took great offense to the allegations that KISS were Nazis. Gene was born in Israel and his mother spent some time in a Nazi concentration camp during World War II. Ironically, at a show in Milan, Italy on September 2, 1980, a group of skinheads stormed through some barricades and descended on the band believing them to be their allies.

Marvel Studios' Avi Arad told SFX Magazine new details on a proposed Silver Surfer movie.
Asked whether Galactus might appear in a Fantastic Four sequel, Arad said "Galactus is going to be in the Silver Surfer movie, which we're starting our journey towards."
But he said that there may be some franchise cross-pollination. "First we want to do the origin of the Silver Surfer and the Galactus story. But because it's the same studio, one day you'll probably have our version of Alien Vs. Predator - only a much, much better version."

Alex Zander

Filming took place at the end of February over two nights in sub zero temperatures at a disused RAF base. The shoot went off without a hitch, apart from the local constabulary despatching a helicopter and patrol cars to see what all the commotion was about. With their curiosity satisfied the police withdrew leaving the bemused band and crew to complete the shoot.

The New Congress' scorecard: no steroids, no cable TV, no radio, no porn, no cheerleading; plenty of terrorist
--Associated Press
AUSTIN, Texas The Friday night lights in Texas could soon be without bumpin' and grindin' cheerleaders.
Legislation filed by Rep. Al Edwards would put an end to "sexually suggestive" performances at athletic events and other extracurricular competitions.
"It's just too sexually oriented, you know, the way they're shaking their behinds and going on, breaking it down," said Edwards, a 26-year veteran of the Texas House. "And then we say to them, 'don't get involved in sex unless it's marriage or love, it's dangerous out there' and yet the teachers and directors are helping them go through those kind of gyrations."
Under Edwards' bill, if a school district knowingly permits such a performance, funds from the state would be reduced in an amount to be determined by the education commissioner.
Edwards said he filed the bill as a result of several instances of seeing such ribald performances in his district.
J.M. Farias, owner of Austin Cheer Factory, said cheerleading aficionados would welcome the law. Cheering competitions, he said, penalize for suggestive movements or any vulgarity.
"Any coaches that are good won't put that in their routines," he said. And most girls cheering on Friday nights were trained by professionals who know better, he said.

Rehearsal video footage of the new NINE INCH NAILS lineup performing the group's new single, "The Hand That Feeds", has been posted online at www.nin.com/visuals/thtf_hi.html (Quicktime, 35 MB).
"The Hand That Feeds" single will be released in Europe on April 18. It will be available as a two-track slimline and a limited-edition four-track digipack package. The digipack (cover) will only be available for the first two weeks of release. This single will not be released in North America. A limited number of digipacks will be available to order from NIN.com during the coming weeks.
NINE INCH NAILS's new album, "With Teeth", is slated for release in the U.S on May 3 (one day earlier internationally). The CD, which is said to be "more song-orientated" than 1999's "The Fragile", was recorded in part at Sound City Studio in Van Nuys, Ca.
Trent Reznor and the new NINE INCH NAILS lineup guitarist Aaron North, bassist Jeordie White (A PERFECT CIRCLE, ex-MARILYN MANSON), keyboardist Allesandro Cortini and drummer Jerome Dillon will kick off a North American theater tour in April.

MOTÖRHEAD frontman Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister spoke to Jon Bream of the Minneapolis Star Tribune about winning his first Grammy after 30 years in the hard-rock wars.
"It's about bloody time," said Kilmister. "Nobody deserves it more, although I'm too modest to say it."
Of course, the irony is that the trophy for best heavy-metal performance isn't for MOTÖRHEAD's 21st and latest CD, "Inferno", but for a METALLICA song ("Whiplash") that the British trio recorded for a tribute CD. That's OK Kilmister isn't complaining.
"I don't mind it," said the singer-bassist, "but it would mean more if it was one of our numbers."
For a full-tilt trio that pioneered speed metal and prides itself on sex, drugs and relentlessness, a Grammy isn't going to make MOTÖRHEAD respectable.
"There's not much chance of that; don't worry," said Kilmister, who will turn 60 on Christmas Eve. "It's too late for this band."
Kilmister said he thinks that the Grammy will have no impact on MOTÖRHEAD's career. He has had mainstream recognition before: "We did 'The Tonight Show' many years ago, and our sales went down."

A review of the DVD release of the Showtime hit FAMILY BUSINESS (second season) is now posted in our DVD review section.
As a part of our association with the people behind the scenes we are offering a contest with the DVD as a prize.
The first person to respond with the correct answer to the following question wins The Complete Second Season of Family Business on DVD courtesy of Showtime entertainment and MK Online. Answer should be emailed to alex@mk-magazine.com
"What was Adam Glassers occupation before he began directing adult films?"
Deadline is 10 PM tonight Thursday March 17. Good Luck and thanks for visiting.

10 years ago MK ULTRA became possessed by a rockin' Industrial band from Kenosha WI by the name of The Electric Hellfire club. Since then the band has gone through many changes as far as musical styling but a few things remain constant. The band center around front man Thomas Thorn, they are purely evil, their music is intense and they have a pretty goddammed good sense of humor.
In the late 90's the band was featured in Jef Hickey's Dirrty Magazine (Jef is now head of publicity at Kick Ass) and that trend seems to have continues in the new millennium . In the new issue of OUI there is a lengthy (six pages of text/photos) feature on the Electric Hellfire Club in the current issue of OUI magazine. Lots of nifty pics of topless babes cavorting with Mssrs. Thorn and Ravensbruck. This issue has Sin City contract girl Hannah Harper on the cover.
OUI is the only heavy metal adult publication of it's kind. Grab a copy of the latest while they last!
In 1996 EHC made the cover of MK ULTRA's one year anniversary issue as band of the year. Inside gossip has it the band "may" be poised for a comeback, showing Motley Crue once and for all who is really down with the devil.

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - The Season 3 premiere of Showtimes original series, Family Business, beat last years premiere numbers by pulling a 1.43 Nielsen rating in its 11:30 p.m. time slot on Saturday.
The rating indicates that over 1.6 million households tuned in, an increase of about a half million from the Season 2 premiere. The reality series focuses on the life of Adam Glasser, a.k.a. Seymore Butts, his family and his business.
I am extremely pleased with the opening numbers and I know the people over at Shapiro/Grodner Productions and Showtime are excited as well, Glasser said. I think our success will only further expand our industrys acceptance into the mainstream and encourage others to take similar risks with our industry and the people involved in it.
Family Business airs Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights on Showtime including a double-header, one-hour block on Friday nights.
Season 3 extensively features the making of Seymore Butts Home Movies and Cousin Stevies Pussy Party series, both of which are distributed by Pure Play Media.

Los Angeles, CA Nocturnečs new full-length album, Guide to Extinction,
will be released on April 19, 2005. The band hits the road for the
month-long Free For All Tour, with Pigface, Sheep On Drugs, Voodou and The
Enigma (Human Marvels, Jim Rose Side Show Circus) on April 14, in Palatine,
Illinois. The tour ends on May 22, in Chicago, Illinois. Space 380 is
handling radio promotion and Triple X Records will handle retail promotion
and marketing. The label is distributed through Navarre in the U.S.
Guide to Extinction was produced by Chris Telkes, Nocturne co-founder,
guitarist and programmer. The album was recorded throughout 2004 at Studio
666 (the bandčs private studio in Dallas, TX). Front woman and co-founder
Lacey Conner enthuses "I am very excited about the new album. It is our
third full-length and I think that it is by far the best Nocturne album to
date. It certainly has the main "Nocturne" ingredients, being dark, heavy
and guitar driven -- with a dash of industrial-style programming."
The album unfolds as an aggressive metal record with shades of classic Nine
Inch Nails industrial stylings. It creates an intense atmosphere and the
lyrics both shock and provoke. Nocturne, however, do not use the term gothč
to describe their sound. "I always liked darker songs because they create a
mood but generally I'm a happy person" Conner smiles. "Dark Music is a
powerful thing and I like the intensity of it" she continues. "But we're
not a Goth band" adds Telkes "we don't go overboard, putting crucifixes up
on stage and wearing lots of make up. The band draws influences from artists
like The Cure, Nine Inch Nails and Ministry.Č
Fans all over the country have seen Nocturne's sexy and energetic live
shows. The band has headlined three national tours and have shared the stage
with Ministry, Pigface, Thrill Kill Kult, Ohgr (Ogre of Skinny Puppyčs side
project), The Genitorturers and Godhead. Nocturne toured the U.S. last year
with the legendary metal icon King Diamond and Swedish death metallers
Entombed. In 2003 the band went on the road with Bile for The Demon Machine
Tour. In 1999 they opened for Ministry in Dallas on the Dark Side Of The
Spoon Tour and more recently in Dallas and El Paso for the Evil Doers Tour
in 2004.
Conner was recently invited to sing on the 2003 Pigface release Easy
Listening for the track "Closer To Heaven," along with Thrill Kill Kult's
Groovie Mann. She has also been featured on tour with Pigface performing as
one of their live vocalists. She will perform with them again on the Free
For All Tour, as well as with Nocturne. Martin Atkins (Ministry, NIN)
formed Pigface in 1991. The band features a revolving door of formidable
musicians including artist such as Trent Reznor (NIN), Ogre (Skinny Puppy),
Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Edsel (Dope), Jason Miller (Godhead) and Paul
Barker and Chris Connelly of Ministry.
Nocturne exploded onto the metal/industrial music scene in 1999 with the
release of Twilight, their debut album (released by Triple X Records - the
Los Angeles based label best known for releasing Jane's Addiction's first
record). Nocturne is essentially Lacey Conner and Chris Telkes, the two
co-founders and main songwriters. Nocturne's live shows, however, have
always been comprised of a variety of different members, which usually
consist of four total performers on stage including Rotny on bass and newest
edition Ben Graves (Murder Dolls popular side project band of Joey
Jordison from Slipknot) on drums.
Nocturne and Conner have been honored with various awards and nominations in
recent years including Best Female Vocalist of 2003 and 2001 by radio
station KEGL 97.1 FM, (a Dallas, TX based awards show that is decided by
listeners). Dallasmusic.com awarded Nocturne Best Band Of 1999. Nocturne's
songs have been featured in independent horror films like łThe Attic
ExpeditionsČ starring Seth Green (Austin Powers, The Italian Job), and
"Wishcraft."
The Dallas Observer wrote "Pulsating electronics and mega-distorted guitars
blend together with Conner's half sung/half shouted treated vocals to create
a hybrid that recalls Nine Inch Nails and early Skinny Puppy without aping
them." And InMusicWeTrust.com adds "Nocturne, fronted by the powerfully
provocative Lacey Conner, blend heavy industrial grooves with metal and Goth
counterparts to create a wicked, skull-splitting sound that is as loud,
heavy, and aggressive as they come." Outburn Magazine sums it up opining "If
you like your women sexy, loud, and aggressive and you like your music hard,
grinding and intense, you'll want to return to Nocturne again and again."
Guide to Extinction features Lacey Conner on vocals and guitar, Chris Telkes
on guitar, bass and programming, Gotti on drums. The thirteen tracks on the
album are 1. łShallow,Č 2. łI Lie,Č 3. łAlibi,Č 4. łPassion,Č 5. łWalk
Away,Č 6. łIndulge,Č 7. łClass War,Č 8. łNothing,Č 9. łDirty Sanchez,Č
10.
łNo Way Out,Č 11. łDead Man,Č 12. łCocaine SexČ and 13. łTheyčll Never
Find
Your Body.Č
Visit the band online at www.nocturne.cc.
A sideline to the touring element for Nocturne is that Conner's two dogs, a
Siberian Husky rescued from a shelter and an Hungarian Vizsla are always
along for the ride. True road dogs -- the Husky and Vizsla love life on the
road.

CLEVELAND - Wedgie, a teenager's locker-room nightmare, has made it into the dictionary. Webster's New World College Dictionary based in Cleveland said wedgie was among its new additions to its latest edition.
The new edition will carry this listing: wedgie: noun. a prank in which the victim's undershorts are jerked upward so as to become wedged between the buttocks.
The dictionary also carries the tradition wedgie definition of a type of shoe.
"`Wedgie' was always a part of the high school terminology that you sort of never thought about later," said Editor in Chief Michael Agnes.
"It never really entered the mainstream until the '90s. It broke out of high school and, boy if you don't know what it is, you're absolutely at a loss."
The new edition will reach bookstores by May and has 58 new entries, plus another 20 new senses of existing words (such as wedgie).
The additions include Al Qaeda, blog, cargo pants, irritable bowel syndrome and partial-birth abortion.

Porn Valley- Cable and satellite operators watched from the sidelines last year while broadcast TV was roasted in Washington for Janet Jackson's and Bono's crimes against public taste. Now it is pay TV's turn in the government's line of fireand the result could cost the industry a lot more than an FCC fine and public scoldings on Capitol Hill.
With newly appointed Attorney General Alberto Gonzales making the
prosecution of obscenity cases a priority for the Justice Department, cable and satellite operators face a looming threat to their estimated $800 million in revenues from adult entertainment. But the landscape of cable and satellite programming itselffrom the bawdy humor on Comedy Central to the softcore fare on late-night HBO and Cinemaxis also subject to attack as Congress contemplates revising the rules that have essentially given pay TV carte blanche to show anything, at any time.
For social conservatives, who have been emboldened by their role in the reelection of President Bush, the rhetoric coming out of D.C. could not be more welcome. For the pay-TV industry, the coming confrontations present the formidable task of lobbying to protect its interests, avoiding the radioactive PR of seeming to defend pornography, and preparing to fend off legal barrages from federal prosecutors.
Broadcast television suffered Washington's wrath last year for the infamous transgressions of Bono and Janet Jackson. Now it looks like cable and satellite programmers' turn on the hot seat as Congress and the Justice Department contemplate steps that could terminate pay TV's free pass to show anything, anytime.
The industry's wide latitude is threatened on two fronts. First, many in Congress want to impose on cable the same type of restrictions that limit when broadcasters may air their sexiest and edgiest mainstream shows. The other worry for the cable industry is a rising sentiment to eliminate an extremely lucrative line of programming that no broadcaster would dare provide: pay-per-view porn.
If proponents fully realized their goals of restricting indecency and obscenity (the distinction is basically indecency = dirty words, obscenity = dirty pictures), it would have major implications not just for the economics of cable and satellite TV but for their programming itself. For instance, Comedy Central might have to move the profanity-laced South Park out of prime time, and HBO, Cinemax and Showtime likely would find it wise to abandon their late-night softcore programming. The Spice channel might survive only as the name of a cooking network.
But even though the current move to police cable programming appears to have more momentum than past clean-up threats, considerable obstacles remain to be overcome before cable and satellite operators could be forced to rethink their business plans.
Two weeks ago, new Attorney General Alberto Gonzales vowed to pursue aggressive prosecution of obscenity cases, an announcement many social conservatives interpreted as a sign the Justice Department is set to expand its anti-obscenity enforcement into increasingly prevalent forms of adult entertainment, such as pay-per-view on cable and DVDs. And indeed, Justice Department spokesman Brian Sierra cautions, Anybody trafficking in obscenity does so at their own risk.
Gonzales, a former White House lawyer, placed an obscenity crackdown on the same list of priorities as the war on terror, deterring violent crime, lobbying for victims'-rights legislation, reforming immigration laws and eliminating human trafficking.
Combating obscenity, Gonzales says, is critical to advancing the cause of justice and human dignity.
The campaign comes at a time when social conservatives, having helped President Bush to victory in the past two presidential elections, feel emboldened to press for action on their agenda. On the obscenity front, their concerns arise from what they see as media providers' whatever sells attitude toward sexually oriented and explicit content. In fact, groups such as the National Coalition for the Protection of Children and Families, as well as Concerned Women for America, have criticized the Bush administration for not doing more during the past four years.
Dan Panetti, the National Coalition's vice president for legal and public policy, believes that the Justice Department during the tenure of former Attorney General John Ashcroft would have pursued obscenity prosecutions if not for the unexpected demands of the war on terror. 9/11 changed everything, he says.
Now that the Bush White House has revived its social agenda, Panetti is encouraged that obscenity will be attacked on many fronts: We'd like for dozens of cases to be brought at one time in federal circuits across the country.
Although Sen. Hillary Clinton has not come out in support of the most wide-ranging proposals to rein in indecency and obscenity, she last week sharply attacked the entertainment industry for the exposure of children to sex and violence on television and in videogames. She joined a bipartisan call for a government study of the media's impact on young children and urged a uniform ratings system across various entertainment platforms so parents can better gauge what their children see.
The sight of the Democrat from New York alongside Republican Sen. Sam Brownbackwho is at the forefront of an anti-obscenity movement in the Senatetouting legislation to require the media-impact study, indicated the new tenor on Capitol Hill that could greatly complicate life for the cable industry.
For the past decade, both the Clinton and Bush Justice Departments focused narrowly on anti-obscenity enforcement, primarily on the trafficking of child pornography. But during his confirmation hearing in January, Gonzales pledged to prosecute more-prevalent types of pornography, as the Reagan administration did in the 1980s.
Including adult pay-per-view channels in a government anti-obscenity campaign would threaten what is by far cable and satellite operators' most profitable product line. Satellite and cable operators, according to Kagan Research, are pulling in revenue of just under $800 million a year from adult movie subscriptions and pay-per-view orders, roughly 40% of pay-TV on-demand revenue. That may not sound like much for an industry expected to tally $62 billion in revenues this year, but the take from adult pay-per-view is almost pure profit. Cable and satellite operators' margins for sex channels, according to several analysts' estimates, run between 70% and 90%. By comparison, cable and satellite operators get to keep only 40% of the retail price of theatrical movies.
Even for the strongest operators, profits from adult pay-per-view are essential to quickly recapturing the costs of building out their systems' digital capacity, an effort on which the industry as a whole has spent $95 billion since 1996. As more systems go digital and add video-on-demand services, according to Jupiter Research, cable and satellite providers will grow their adult channel revenue by 120% through 2009.
Jupiter's Todd Chanko says add-on services such as pay-per-view adult channels will be essential drivers of growth, now that 85% of Americans already subscribe to cable or satellite and new customers will be hard to come by. All operators have to rely on other ways to generate incremental revenue, he says.
Fighting a crackdown on porn would present an awkward challenge for cable. Despite the profits, adult entertainment is to the media business what nuclear waste is to energy producers: Nobody rushes to defend it in public. Indeed, last month, news reports about Adelphia Communications' intention to offer the most graphic form of hardcore porn (XXX, in the adult-entertainment business's calibration of the sex acts depicted) on its cable system in Southern California prompted so much criticism that the company quickly abandoned the plans.
Comcast, the country's largest cable company, referred B&C to the National Cable & Telecommunications Association for comment on the obscenity issue. Dealing with the hot-button topic is one of the first tasks faced by new NCTA President Kyle McSlarrow, a Republican with strong ties to party leadership. He says he is comfortable with the industry's decision to rely on channel-blocking technology, which he describes as a powerful tool that allows parents to shield their children from adult channels and other edgy fare without hindering anybody's viewing choices. I don't want to start making decisions about what other people watch, he says.
Playboy Entertainment Group, which provides 75% of adult pay-TV content though the Playboy, Spice and Hot Network channels, also declined to comment on the Justice Department's efforts. (The other top adult-channel producer is New Frontier, which sells The Erotic Network channels; the company did not respond to a request for an interview. Larry Flynt's Hustler TV is just getting into the business.)
Because porn is radioactive as a PR issue, cable operators and big hotel chains that carry in-room pay-per-view porn channels have largely left the job of defending the business in public to the adult-entertainment industry's trade group, the Free Speech Coalition. Executive Director Michelle Freridge won't identify members but says her group's efforts have the support of the cable and hotel industries. The coalition's more public allies include the ACLU, the Association of Club Executives (which represents strip clubs) and the First Amendment Lawyers Association.
A lot of organizations and specific companies don't want to attract the attention of their attackers, Freridge says.
Behind the scenes in Washington, however, cable and satellite operators are scrambling to use whatever influence they can to shield the pay-TV business. Brian Roberts, the CEO of Comcast, will have the opportunity to capitalize on ties he made as co-chair of Philadelphia 2000, the host committee for the Republican National Convention. But that is hardly Comcast's only useful Washington connection; the company's Washington office is led by Kerry Knott, ex-chief of staff for former House Majority Leader Richard Armey.
Although the general public may only be vaguely aware of the amount of money their local cable franchises can pull in from adult channels, conservative activists already are zeroing in on the major corporations' porn profits. Everything is in place to bring prosecutions against mainstream companies, says Panetti.
In the past four years, the Justice Department has added 17 attorneys to its Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section and doubled the section's budget to $42 million. Among the new prosecutors is Bruce Taylor, who returned to the department after working as an anti-porn activist. As a Reagan-era Justice attorney, he unsuccessfully prosecuted Hustler's Larry Flynt but won a string of lower-profile obscenity cases.
Gonzales' pledge to pursue anti-porn cases came the same week two top lawmakers vowed to bring pay TV under the same indecency restrictions as broadcasters. Sen. Ted Stevens, chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee, promised a showdown with the cable industry if operators continue to insist they are constitutionally exempt from FCC indecency restrictions on broadcasters' allowing objectionablebut not obsceneprogramming only between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., when children are least likely to encounter it.
I think we can put restrictions on cable, he told the National Association of Broadcasters last week. Stevens predicted that cable operators will lose in court if they challenge indecency restrictions on First Amendment grounds.
Rep. Joe Barton, Stevens' counterpart in the House, seconded the call for cable indecency restrictions. Rank-and-file lawmakers have voiced support for the idea, too. Last year, Rep. Nathan Deal appeared to have enough votes among fellow House Commerce Committee members to amend broadcast-indecency legislation with a provision that would make cable operators sell channels individually (or à la carte, as it's known in the industry), rather than in bundles containing channels some parents might not want their kids to see. Only after committee leaders convinced their members that restrictions on cable might not survive the court challenge did they back off.
Shedding their public shyness about defending their porn operations, the cable executives quickly responded to Stevens' and Barton's comments about indecency restrictions. Operators say channel-blocking technology and the fact that subscribers invite cable television into their homes are sufficient protection from new limits on pay-TV programming. The subscription nature of cable service, and the ability of cable customers to block unwanted programming, strongly differentiates cable from broadcasting, says NCTA spokesman Brian Dietz.
Because of well-established court rulings, Stevens' saber-rattling about imposing indecency restrictions seems less likely to threaten the pay-TV business as it exists today than would a Justice Department anti-obscenity campaign. Years of court rulings have spelled out at least modest First Amendment protections for programming that would legally be classified as indecent, incorporating such elements as profanity, bathroom humor and explicit references to sex. Cable and satellite-TV operators simply have to make channel-blocking technology available to subscribers who don't want networks that provide content they find objectionable. Indecency is not even banned from broadcast television, after all; it is just corralled by the FCC into those eight overnight hours.
Obscenity, on the other hand, has no First Amendment protections and may be outlawed under local or federal statutes no matter what the venue. The age-old problem, of course, is defining exactly what constitutes obscenity. In 1973, the Supreme Court found that, in order to be considered obscene, content must depict or describe sexual conduct in a way a local community would find patently offensive.
Recent cases have put serious roadblocks in the Bush administration's plans on this front. Congressional attempts to restrict online pornography have been rejected by the Supreme Court on First Amendment grounds. Most recently, a federal district court threw out charges against a distributor of movies simulating rapes and murder. The Justice Department is appealing.
But Justice spokesman Sierra predicts cases will go to trial as they are brought before judges in other districts. It's up to local officials and juries to decide whether there's been a violation of the law.
Tailoring its approach to the Supreme Court's concerns, Justice will leave the decisions about pursuing prosecutions to local federal district attorneysto ensure that local community standards are taken into accountand brought before local juries. The local prosecutions will be assisted by Justice officials in Washington.
The Justice Department has found support on Capitol Hill, from both Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch and committee member Sam Brownback. The senators have taken the lead in sponsoring anti-obscenity legislation in the first session of 2005, and both have called on the Justice Department to step up obscenity prosecutions. Brownback has sponsored legislation that would call for federally funded research into the possibly addictive effects of pornography (he maintains that pornography is indeed addictive and contributes to crimes such as child sexual abuse.)
The Free Speech Coalition's Freridge says Brownback is laying the groundwork for a broad attack on adult entertainment. She insists that porn-addiction theories have little credence among most researchers.
In order for the government to infringe upon free speech, there has to be a compelling reason, she says. We believe they are trying to create a record for legislation that would make adult entertainment illegal.
As far as the National Coalition's Panetti is concerned, however, most pornography is already illegaland it is time the government said so. The government can censor this material, he says. All we're asking is that the government brings these cases and asks juries whether this content should be protected by the First Amendment. Local communities are going to say no.
If that happens, cable accountants are likely to look at their ledgers and say Oh, no.

AFP has issued the following report via Yahoo! News:
Opera purists may call it a faustian bargain, but in the first on-stage merger of classical opera and heavy metal the tragic tale of Faust and his existential struggle between good and evil has found an apt musical expression in this small western Norwegian town.
"When it comes to the theme, Faust is perfect for heavy metal and vice versa," Kristiansund opera chief Jan Karstensen told AFP, pointing out that both the old tale of a man who sells his soul to the devil and heavy metal music address the eternal struggle between good and evil.
The approximately 300 people in the audience, including a large number of young people, appeared to agree, clapping and stomping wildly as the last, screeching guitar note caressed the bodies of Faust and his beloved Margerethe strewn across the black stage.
"This surpassed all my expectations," said Stian Kristiansen, 27, whose long hair and thick, black eyeliner gave him away as a metal fan.
"I've never been to the opera before, but this made me want to go again. I was actually moved a few times," he told AFP.
"It was dead cool," Torun Werswick, 65, agreed. "I just thought it was fabulous!"
The "Faust - Metal Opera", which premiered in this small coastal town of just 17,000 inhabitants on Friday, mixes music from Charles Francois Gounod's classic 1859 opera based on German author Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's tragedy which again was inspired by an age-old myth with heavy metal composed by a local band called PICA FIERCE.

The adult film star who once set the "gang bang" world record by having sex on camera with 300 men in one day has now gone mainstream. Jasmin St. Claire, who made her "mainstream" debut in last year's independent comedy "Communication Breakdown," has now been cast in a lead role in "National Lampoon's Dorm Daze 2: Semester at Sea," directed by brothers Scott & David Hillenbrand.
What makes the casting even more strange is David Hillenbrand's past resume, working on such family fare as "SpongeBob SquarePants" and "You're Invited to Mary Kate & Ashley's Sleepover." The former porn performer was originally cast in "Dorm Daze 2" in a small supporting role but were so 'blown away' by her acting, however, that they dumped the original lead actress and gave her the nod.
The National Lampoon brand includes such hit films as "Animal House," "Van Wilder," and the Chevy Chase "Vacation" series. St. Claire can also be seen hosting a DVD magazine series for Cleopatra Records entitled "Metal's Darkside: The Hard & The Furious." Filming on "Dorm Daze 2" is underway. "Communication Breakdown" is expected to hit theaters this summer.

AZ and Mary Carey in Vegas
SOURCE: AVN.com
LOS ANGELES - Kick Ass Pictures contract star Mary Carey will embark on a Safe Sex Tour later this month that will entail her going to several nightclubs and venues nationwide to spread the word on condom use.
The tour will kick off at the Ice Metaclub in Las Vegas on March 26. Carey plans to visit nightclubs and venues in college towns, speaking about the need to take safe sex seriously and discussing the value of condoms in preventing pregnancies, STDs and AIDS.
Carey will greet her fans and sign autographs before speaking and answering questions. There will be a full fishbowl of condoms at each event. Ironically, Carey recently celebrated her two-year anniversary as an exclusive performer with Kick Ass, a company that produces porn with no condoms. But she said this promotional tour has been set up through her mainstream public relations firm, Luck Media, and is separate from her contract obligations.
Going to a porno set and working when everyone is getting tested is one thing, and going out to a nightclub and hooking up with someone that you dont know is tested is quite another, Carey said. When Im at these clubs talking to fans, theyll listen to someone like me and take it more serious.
Carey said that her next videos from Kick Ass would be the interactive Mary Carey Experience and Totally Mary.

MARILYN MANSON was interviewed by Rolling Stone magazine for its Hunter S. Thompson issue, out on the stands now. The following excerpt was taken from MANSON's official web site, MarilynManson.com:
MARILYN MANSON got a call five years ago from Johnny Depp, who was partying at the Viper Room in Los Angeles with Hunter. "Get down here," Depp said. "You've got to meet this guy." After that, Manson and Hunter spoke regularly in late night phone calls.
We both kept extremely odd hours, and we would talk to each other endlessly. He would leave messages referring to me with a series of names that ranged from my birth name, Brian, to Bubba, which he used on everyone. He also called me Shit Eyes. I'm not sure what it means, but it's probably the greatest thing anyone has ever said: "Call me back, Shit Eyes, because I need an audience."
One time when I called he was very quiet. I said, "What's going on?" He said, "How do I say this? I'm in a romantic moment." I said, "I'm so glad for you. Call me tomorrow." I was really happy that there was still sex going on. Hopefully, it was with a person.
Once I was going to court on a fourth-degree misdemeanor when my cell phone started ringing at 6:15 in the morning. It was Hunter. I told him I was worried I'd be drug-tested when I turned myself in. "When was the last time you did drugs?" he asked. I couldn't be certain. "Get a rental car and flee the country," he said. He was dead serious. "Thanks for the advice," I said. "I love you."
Johnny Depp once told me, "Hunter fears you." I asked why. "Because he thinks you're not afraid to go all the way, to hit bottom, to go wherever he wants to go. And he likes that." That's a good basis for friendship. Or trouble. But that's what friends are for.
We were having dinner at the Chateau Marmont; I think it was Johnny's birthday. It was like the Last Supper, only with all the crazy people in Hollywood: Nick Nolte, the week of his famous hair picture, Mickey Rourke, Johnny, Benicio, myself. Hunter had a bandaged hand from punching holes in a window. After dinner we all went upstairs and he read from his book 'Kingdom of Fear'. Some drunken girl knocked on the door and he was so angry, he couldn't form a word. He just kept pointing his finger until she was removed. Then you had a roomful of rowdy fellows, very calmly sitting, listening to a bedtime story from a very cool grandfather, uncle, brother, whatever.
A day or two later he sent me 'Kingdom of Fear'. The inscription says, "Manson, beware the flag suckers. They will run you down and eat your flesh but not your heart or your brain, for they are unclean. Good luck."

Tim Connelly, the editor of Adult Video News, the adult film industrys most authoritative trade publication, says that porn is now a $13 billion-a-year industry, and everyone wants a piece of it, including Hollywood.
But Tinseltown likes to maintain a genteel distance from the notion of whoring attributed to the film industry on the other side of the hills, so when they need the facts, they come to guys like Legs McNeil. But, McNeil says, they dont listen. He and his coauthors Jennifer Osborne and Peter Pavia spent eight years and umpteen dollars convincing porn stars, vice cops, pimps, theater owners, and mobsters to spill their guts for their book, The Other Hollywood: The Uncensored Oral History of the Porn Film Industry. Like McNeils previous book, Please Kill Me, its a thick tome of quotes, full of apocryphal and often conflicting stories and unsupported suppositions. Its got dirt from the days of Bunny Yeagers pin-up photos to the mega-stardom of Jenna Jameson. Its also impossible to put down.
Years into his research, McNeil produced a three-hour special for Court TV which featured the last exclusive interview with Deep Throat star Linda Lovelace (she died in a car crash in 2002). Soon he found himself in talks with Imagine Entertainments Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind, currently making The Da Vinci Code), who was trying to cajole McNeil into giving him access to his roomful of floor-to-ceiling file cabinets (Ive seen them) for Grazers 2005 documentary, Inside Deep Throat.
First Grazers guys told him there wasnt any money then he went on to spend tens of millions on the film. McNeil found himself in exactly the same position as many of the stars in his book: ripe for exploitation. And it wasnt the first time. In town for a reading at Book Soup, he and his co-authors heap scorn on the exploiters.
CityBeat: How does your account of John Holmess involvement in the Laurel Canyon murders differ from Wonderland, the Hollywood version?
Legs McNeil: Well, Wonderland was a piece of crap. They had a script, and the director was this little prick. I said, Look, John Holmes was a jerk. Hes not a hero in this story. The only heroes and I had built up a really good relationship with them were Dawn Schiller, who was Johns 15-year-old girlfriend at the time, and Sharon Holmes. They turned around and sold their rights to this little creep. I thought, Theyre broke. They need the money. And they did include that in the movie, after my suggestion.
Jennifer Osborne: They basically tried to steal what Legs said that day at lunch. They didnt have their facts right. Had they been two guys who said, We really want to get involved with this and understand it, that would have been something else. They just had no respect for these peoples lives.
Did your book break any new info about the murders?
McNeil: Yes, but we had to choose our material. We went into a meeting with 15 FBI agents, I said, Listen, I can walk you through the murders. I knew every aspect of the murders. I knew who did it. I had spent five years researching this. I had every trial transcript. I had everything on [L.A. mobster] Eddie Nash. I had Eddie Nashs divorce papers. It was a very, very corrupt L.A. story. And I was, Okay, were doing a porn book. Do we want to do the corrupt L.A. story, too? Its a very far-reaching story, and we had to contain it.
You said in the New York Post that the makers of Inside Deep Throat stole your stuff.
McNeil: I made a Court TV special, and thats how I got the book deal. Because no one could see this book, and the Deep Throat parts were great, and it was funny, too. Our Court TV documentary was the highest-rated original programming in their history. Then these two guys come in, and theyre so smug, and they made a crappy movie. I mean, its funny, its camp, its got some nice scenes. They based it on I did the last interview with Linda Lovelace. Now, Deep Throat isnt the greatest movie ever made, but the wealth of material behind Deep Throat is astounding. I just said, You spent $20, $30 million and you made a shitty movie.
Tim Connelly: Grazer had these guys [producers] World of Wonder fronting for him, saying theres no money. Its a labor of love. Wed like you to share your archives. And Bob Ellison, who I was talking to the other day, said, This is what we call in Hollywood dry anal rape. [Everyone present howls with laughter] They offered something along the lines of minimum wage.
Osborne: Plus, he was going to make it based on Ordeal, from the early 90s, which we proved is mostly lies. I hate to speak ill of Linda Lovelace, but you cant corroborate whats in there.
McNeil: They made The Eyes of Tammy Faye. I think that you have to fall in love, a little bit, with everyone you interview. I think theyre giggling behind their backs. Theyre the reason that the porn industry hates Hollywood.
Do you think that you broke anything as far as the mob connections to porn?
McNeil: I was a little nervous when I started, because [Deep Throat financier] Butchie Peraino was still alive. He died during the book. A lot of them did.
Osborne: Although his son did call me one day, and ask, I hear youre looking for me. Heh. Wow, as a matter of fact, I am.
McNeil: But I found, with most of the guys, you could sit down with them, and say, Look, I dont want to go here. We were not trying to trap people. We werent trying to say, Did you go for these murders over here? We were just trying to follow our story, but, while doing that, we did go off on a lot of those other stories.
Are we in a new era of Porno Chic now?
Osborne: A lot of these earlier women considered themselves early feminists. They were having sex, they were talking about it, they were masturbating, they were sleeping with other women, and they were proud of it. They were like, You can be a woman and do this, and youre not a slut, youre not a whore, youre just a sexual person. And thats what was so cool about it. And thats whats not chic about right now, because, uh, that already happened. And it flew in the face of that backlash against feminism, where you had the Andrea Dworkins and the Catherine McKinnons putting women back in a box.
McNeil: In the very beginning, it was so open and no one was doing it it was loose, so anybody could do anything. I think that once Deep Throat made $100-600 million, they kind of shut everybody down. Made it like women have to be protected by men. Which infantilized women again.
Why did people trust you with their stories?
McNeil: I didnt want to come in as what they call a porn mark. You dont want to come in as a guy who loves porn; you also dont want to come in as a guy who wants to pick up all the women. I wanted to come in as a porn worker. [Porn producer] Jane Hamilton said, I hope youre not offended, Legs, but you became one of us. Jane hired me to write Still Insatiable, Marilyn Chambers comeback movie. Very few people knew who Legs McNeil was. So we lived pretty anonymously.

"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side."

Go Ask Ogre, a memoir written by longtime Skinny Puppy fan Jolene Siana, is now available for pre-order from Amazon. The book is a first hand chronicle of the unfortunately familiar but rarely discussed journey through the depths of teenage alienation, as told via the letters she sent to Ogre in the late '80s. Thankfully he saved them and recently returned them to her, forming the basis of this book. Interspersed throughout are Jolene's contemporary journals and artwork, forming a vivid and affecting portrait of the mind of a self-mutilating "cutter". This is not a book about Skinny Puppy per se, but it is a work with which almost every fan will identify on some level. This book will either speak about you or about someone that you know. It is set to ship in May. For further information see GoAskOgre.com.

KISS guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley checked in with KissOnline.com and chatted briefly about his upcoming solo album.
According to Stanley, the album should be done and ready to mix by mid-May.
Drumming on all the tracks to date is Victor Indruzzo who has toured and recorded with MACY GRAY, toured with BECK and appears on various recordings by the Matrix production team. Most of the guitars have been handled by Corky James, who also is heard on various recordings by the Matrix team, including AVRIL LAVIGNE. In talking about their contributions Paul raved, "Victor is just an amazing drummer who can bash with the best of them while keeping a great groove going." As for James, he added, "Corky just blows me away with his parts and sounds." As far as bass..."I've always been a big fan of Bruce Kulick's bass playing so it's great to have him on some of the album." Keyboards have been handled by Russ Irwin who has toured with both STING and AEROSMITH. "I've known Russ for over 15 years before the KISS/AEROSMITH tour happened and his being a part of the project seemed like a natural".Of course all the vocals are handled by Paul. A few of the tracks recorded include "Wake Up Screaming", "Second To None" and "Live To Win".
Paul has been collaborating with Swedish songwriter Andreas Carlsson (BON JOVI, DEF LEPPARD), and for the first time in 15 or so years, Desmond Child (BON JOVI, AEROSMITH). "It's magic," Stanley said of the collaboration. Paul went on to add, "From the songs to the playing and singing, everything about this album is consistent without compromise. The album is exactly who I am now and what I want to be doing. It's got all the sides of what I do, so it's not surprising that it's got elements of everything I've done plus a leap into the 21st century. I don't need to hype it. I'll leave that to everyone else who's heard it."

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - "Doonesbury," with a longtime character modeled on "gonzo journalist" Hunter S. Thompson, took note of the writer's suicide with a comic strip this week that had the Thompson-like figure's head exploding.
In the installment that ran Tuesday, Uncle Duke, the Thompson-like character, is seen checking his e-mail. He reads that Thompson is dead, and his head explodes with a "Ka-Boom!" His head reappears in the next frame as he says, "That can't be right. Better Google it." That is followed by another "Ka-Boom!"
Newspapers from time to time have pulled "Doonesbury" strips they deemed offensive. But the strip's distributor said Wednesday that it had received only two complaints and no reports that any of the 1,400 newspapers that carry "Doonesbury" had pulled it.
"Why should they?" said Alan McDermott, a senior editor at Universal Press Syndicate, based in Kansas City. "Uncle Duke has been kind of a wild character over the years, so how he's reacting to the death of Hunter S. Thompson is no different than his reactions to many things over the years."
An e-mail sent to "Doonesbury" creator Garry Trudeau's Web site by The Associated Press was not immediately returned. But in an e-mail in Wednesday's Washington Post, Trudeau said regular readers of the strip should not find Duke's exploding head all that unfamiliar.
"I've been exploding Duke's head as far back as 1985," he said. "I also had a rocket burst out of his head, a flock of bats, and during Duke's run for president, Mini-D, a tiny self that conducted Duke's business, even gave speeches when the candidate was incapacitated."

If you saw Rob Zombie's first horror movie, 2003's "House of 1000 Corpses," it should terrify you that the singer/director said the sequel makes the original look like a Road Runner cartoon.
"I hate to say 'sequel,' because it usually means retreading the same ground," said Zombie of "The Devil's Rejects" (out July 22), his horror-Western that Lion's Gate recently moved up from late August in light of "unbelievable" test-screening scores. "I kept the major characters that I loved and spun them in a new direction and revamped them. The first movie was more wacky and colorful and tongue-in-cheek; this one is more down and bleak and real."
"The Devil's Rejects" finds the return of several characters from the first film, including ultra creepy Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), Otis Driftwood (Bill Moseley) and sexy serial killer Baby Firefly (Zombie's wife, Sheri Moon). The film, set in 1978, pays homage to the blood-spattered Westerns of director Sam Peckinpah, as Sheriff John Wydell (character actor William Forsythe) tracks the men who killed his brother. "These are the real people and the last one was the cartoon version," Zombie said of the day-glo original, which mixed graphic, blood-spurting violence with groovy camera tricks, clown makeup and a bad-acid-trip vibe. "It's a Western with no horses."
Zombie again wrote and directed, but ceded the scoring duties this time to Tyler Bates ("Dawn of the Dead") so he could concentrate on the 29-day shoot in the deserts around Los Angeles. Though the film had a lower budget than the original, Zombie said it looks like it cost 10 times more. "I shot a lot of it in the bright daylight in wide open spaces because a lot of times horror movies are dark and spooky, but I think it's freakier to bring the violence into the blatant wide open. Nothing looks creepier than a bad car accident on a bright, beautiful day."
As a quintessentially Zombie example of what inspired the movie's look and feel, the singer recalled a scene from his childhood of bizarre daytime violence. "I remember this bright summery day when I was in high school, sitting in my parents' house, and we heard this screaming," he said. "We saw this naked guy who'd been stabbed many times running down the street in this nice, suburban neighborhood with sprinklers going off around him."
The movie is populated by character actors you might recognize from classic horror films: P.J. Soles ("Halloween"), Ken Foree ("Dawn of the Dead") and Michael Berryman ("The Hills Have Eyes"). And, instead of new songs like those in the original (such as Zombie's bizarro duet with Lionel Richie on the Commodores' "Brick House"), the "Rejects" soundtrack is full of period songs by the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers.
In addition to the official movie Web site, alert Internet browsers can find a whole unofficial ring of related sites for characters such as Foree's devious pimp, as well as an elaborate one for Banjo & Sullivan (banjoandsullivan.com), a country band that appears in the film and is now recording its debut album. "It's a weird Spinal Tap kind of thing," Zombie said of the group, fronted by actors Geoffrey Lewis (father of actress Juliette) and Lew Temple. "We made a movie with a fake band, and now they've made this great album coming out this summer, and they want to tour."
Zombie's got several other movie projects in the works as well, including his favorite, an animated movie called "El Superbeasto." Based on characters he created for his Spookshow International comic book, the movie follows the hero, an "overweight, alcoholic Mexican wrestler" on his wacky adventures through a world Zombie described as "Austin Powers meets the Munsters."
Working with the animators behind "The Simpsons" and "King of the Hill" and a writer from "SpongeBob SquarePants," Zombie is aiming for "Superbeasto" to be an R-rated animated movie for adults and "degenerate" teens. He hopes to cast voices before summer and have the movie in theaters in 2006.
And, not to worry, Zombie hasn't forgotten about his musical career. He's back in the studio trying to finish the unnamed album he's been working on in fits and starts for over a year, aiming for a summer release.
Among those who've contributed to the nearly 30 instrumental tracks recorded to date are drummers Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle) and Tommy Lee and guitarists Wes Borland (before he re-joined Limp Bizkit) and John 5 (ex-Marilyn Manson). Zombie is writing lyrics now and expects to tour this summer, though no dates have been confirmed yet.

ASPEN, Colo. - Johnny Depp (news) and Bill Murray, who both portrayed Hunter S. Thompson in films, joined Sean Penn, Jack Nicholson and others over the weekend to remember the gonzo journalist at a private memorial.
Depp, who played the part of Thompson in "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," read a passage from the book in which Thompson rues the end of the '60s, according to a Rocky Mountain News reporter.
The reporter was given permission by Thompson's family after Saturday's memorial to report on the event.
The eccentric Thompson, 67, shot himself at his home near Aspen on Feb. 20 after weeks of pain from a host of physical problems that included a broken leg and a hip replacement.
At the memorial, neighbor and actor Don Johnson remembered once asking Thompson: What is the sound of one hand clapping? Thompson responded by slapping Johnson across the face.
Bohemian cool in a goatie and black newsboy cap, Johnny read a passage from Hunter's classic Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. A police badge pinned to his jacket paid tribute to the author's failed bid for sheriff in 1970, when he ran his election campaign from the bar at the Hotel Jerome.
The memorial also saw eulogies from actors Sean Penn, Jack Nicholson, John Cusack and Johnny's co-star in Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas Benicio Del Toro.
Benicio and Johnny will team up once again in the Hunter S. Thompson penned film The Rum Diary which is scheduled to hit cinemas later this year.

If you have a cannon and don't mind blasting a member of the media, the friends and family of the late Hunter S. Thompson need your help.
Thompson died on Feb. 20, and as a final request in his bizarre life, the self-described "gonzo" journalist wanted his cremated ashes blasted into the air over his farm in Woody Creek, Colo., as loudspeakers play Bob Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man."
Johnny Depp -- who portrayed Thompson's drug-addled alter ego in the 1998 film "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" -- is among the friends hoping to cannon-ize the outrageous writer. Step one, of course, is finding proper military ordnance.
To help the family out, Thompson's local newspaper, the Aspen Daily News, is organizing a "Cannon Blast-Off Contest," asking entrants to answer, in 100 words or less, "Why should your cannon be used to blast Dr. Hunter S. Thompson's cremated remains into the sky?"
The paper is looking for cannons with historic value or possibly one from Kentucky, where Thompson was born. Photographs must be included. The entry deadline is March 13.
The fact that the 67-year-old writer died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound isn't dissuading friends and family from this unusual memorial. Perhaps the only surprise to Thompson's hard-core fans is that he didn't already own his own cannon. Over the years, strange blasts and the crackle of high-powered guns frequently brought police to his door.
In his 1989 book "Generation of Swine," Thompson recalls blowing up a Jeep with high-powered explosives, purely for his own amusement.
"The explosion shook the whole valley and sent chunks of red shrapnel flying over the house and all the way back to the White River National Forest," he wrote. "All traffic stopped on the road and the elk heard scattered in panic.
"But not for long. It was over in 22 seconds. Nobody was injured and no animals were killed ..." In recent years, Thompson wrote a weekly column for ESPN.com, where, among other things, he advocated "Shotgun Golf," a sport he invented, which involves shooting balls out of the air rather than hitting them with clubs.
"It will bring a whole new meaning to the words 'Driving Range,' " his friend Bill Murray remarked in one column.
Clearly, Thompson's writing was not for everyone. But he had a cult following. At a private memorial service in Aspen on Sunday, Depp and Murray were joined by such Hollywood headliners as Sean Penn, Jack Nicholson and Benicio Del Toro.
Guests say celebrity speakers recalled Thompson's days riding motorcycles with the Hells Angels, his reportage as national affairs editor for Rolling Stone, and the wild tales that made him legendary.
The event surely would have pleased the author, who had a viciously dark sense of humor and a strange reverence for ceremonies.
In 1994, after the death of former President Richard Nixon, who was the central figure in Thompson's "Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72," the journalist wrote:
"If the right people had been in charge of Nixon's funeral, his casket would have been launched into one of those open-sewage canals that empty into the ocean just south of Los Angeles. He was a swine of a man and a jabbering dupe of a president. Nixon was so crooked that he needed servants to help him screw his pants on every morning
His body should have been burned in a trash bin."
It should be noted that while Thompson was often identified as a hero of the left, he often savaged Democrats, including President Bill Clinton. "It's almost embarrassing to talk about Clinton as if he were important," Thompson wrote. "I'd almost prefer Nixon. I'd say Clinton is every bit as corrupt as Nixon, but a lot smoother."
The humor in Thompson's overboard style might have been lost because of his sad end. Nothing is funny about suicide. Still, many writers, including Ernest Hemingway, one of Thompson's heroes, have also taken their own lives -- and their work is no less revered. Perhaps that's one reason why Thompson's loved ones plan to follow through on his final request.
"If it can be done, we will do it," said Thompson's longtime lawyer, George Tobia Jr. " 'Maybe it will be part of a public thing, or maybe one night a shot will ring out and people will know." But as the call for a cannon goes out, it should be noted that Thompson's requests aren't that far out of line with the times.
Cremation, now the funeral choice of 26 percent of Americans, has been steadily gaining on traditional burial for three decades.
Human ashes are largely stored in urns. But a growing number of companies are offering spectacular services. Cremated remains are now being blasted into space, mixed with fireworks, blasted into space and even crushed into diamonds.

Guitarist Koichi Fukuda has officially rejoined STATIC-X. In a statement posted on the group's official web site, STATIC-X frontman Wayne Static said, "Koichi was with us back in the club days here in Los Angeles, played on our first record, 'Wisconsin Death Trip', and did the first two years of touring with the band. He's been in the studio with us since October working on the new record and this feels like a very natural transition.
"The first shows with Koichi will be at the Galaxy in Santa Ana on March 25th and at the Key Club in Hollywood on March 26th. We'll be releasing details very soon about more extensive touring plans as well as the title and release date for the new record.
"Tony, Nick, and I want to thank all of you for your continued support...you guys have never let us down. Thanks!"
Koichi Fukuda rejoins STATIC-X as the replacement for Tripp Eisen, who was dismissed from the group late last month following reports that Eisen was arrested by authorities in two states on charges that include kidnapping, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. The charges stem from two separate incidents involving sexual relations with minors.

Oaks, PA- Music Video Distributors and Cherry Red are pleased to announce the home viewing release of EinstĂŒrzende Neubauten â Halber Mensch for US distribution on DVD.
This is the first ever DVD to feature the one the major bands of the Industrial Music scene, Germany's EinstĂŒrzende Neubauten. It features the full-length film that was made by the band to showcase the album. Basically a full-blown promo for each song on the audio release, "1/2 Mensch" is a stunning work of visual art, bought to DVD for the first time, and will be very popular amongst the band's legions of fans.
Along with Cabaret Voltaire and Throbbing Gristle, EinstĂŒrzende Neubauten (meaning "collapsing new buildings") helped pioneer industrial music with an avant-garde mix of white-noise guitar drones, vocals verging on the unlistenable at times, and a clanging, rhythmic din produced by a percussion section consisting of construction materials, hand and power tools, and various metal objects.
The band recorded several well-received albums through the 1980's and were renowned for their visually magnificent live performances and creative video work. The "Halber (or œ) Mensch" album was released in 1986, and was both critically acclaimed and amongst their most commercially popular releases, going to number two in the Independent Chart.

Once upon a time as a very little kid, around the age of 7 or so, I was visiting my Grandfatherâs house in Chicago, he was a mean old bastard that happened to have a collection to make most of us drool, he had what I think was every Playboy magazine ever published! Now, even though I was crazy young, I knew I wasnât supposed to look at them, so of course, I would sneak away and check out the naked lady pictures⊠Thus began my career as a soft-core coinsurer.
Fast forward to my 30th birthday party, I have a house full of guests partying and a few people are looking over my DVD collection, when someone points out that I have entire shelves filled with these silly horror and tits movies made by Seduction Cinema. After taking much abuse by a few friends I explain to them how much fun they are! I donât mean in a âjerking off to pornoâ kind of a way but in a âhey lets watch this crappy movie with lousy acting, terrible plots, and tons of fun anywayâŠand we get to see gobs of boobs!!â
So now I look forward to all these crappy movies, which are often better viewed as a trailer than as entire feature length viewing. Honestly, most people just write these gems off as Cinemax after hours crap. But, unlike the gems that they normally play after midnight, Seduction Cinema has brought in a element of horror and gore. Now let me clarify that: There is nothing scary about these movies, with the exception of some of the bad boob jobs and super gifted acting, but there is a whole world of comedy hidden underneath such classics like Mistress Frankenstein, Vampire Seduction and who could forget Playmate of The Apes!
I will freely admit, that while I particularly have a love and fascination for these movies, most of them are barely watchable. With the exception to some of the films, they are pretty much cookie cutter spoofs on popular movies that take our favorite girls and put them in sketchy situations to somehow lez out with another girl or two, in a very R rated way, rarely does it venture into X rated territory. They then move onto the next scene with some more great acting and then more macking down. Occasionally you get to see a bit of the pink, but for the most part its all boobs all day. Fine by me. So with that said I will be bringing you a regular feature here at Bloody âDisgusting so you horror freaks can know which quality sh-tty boobie movie you should shell out your hard earned bucks for.
Here is a list of some of the titles that you should get your slimy hands onto.
Remember these grades are not based on your conventional quality, this is just plain good old fashioned smut, meaning that I know what it is, and so do the films⊠so donât expect that because I gave Satan School for Lust 4 stars for good boobs and script, doesnât meant that itâs a good movie, it means that itâs a good TNA fest worthy of your time, this is no Exorcist or Titanic (2 genuinely scary movies).
A quick word of warning, if you do go out and buy these, they come with 2 versions. The one you buy at Best Buy or Suncoast is a cut down tamer version than you will get directly from their website. Sometimes they even throw in a coupon to get the dirtier version through the mail for free (plus shipping). So do the right thing and get the smuttier and filthier version for your permanent collection.
The Sexy Adventures of Van Helsing
Boobs: *****
Plot: ***
Gore â 0
Overall: In a Oscar worthy performance, scream queen Darian Caine wows us all with her endowments and fine acting. I really do like her.
Worth viewing for the lack of CGI that its more popular counterpart has way too much of. The plot is far remover from the other movie also. On the plus side there is plenty of good boobs and some really funny stuff by actress Erika Smith, doing her best âComic Book Geekâ impersonation. A fun waste of time.
Playmate of the Apes
Boobs: **
Plot: *
Gore â 0
Overall: Crap donât bother
Lord of the G-strings... or Lord of the Strings? (I am not sure which is which)
Boobs: *
Plot: ***
Gore â 0
Overall: Terrible, even if you want naked lezbo action. Fantastic if you want bad acting, kinda funny spoof, with a decided lack of tits, but I think this one has been playing on late night cable so wait for it there and save your hard earned bucks for the
Screaming Dead
Boobs: **
Plot: ***
Gore: ***
Overall: OK, so we have Misty Mundae, who looks like she is 15, which kinda rules, then I feel all guilty for being a dirty old man, but come on⊠who didnât want to bang around with this hot chick when you were in high school?? Shit, who wouldnât want to now⊠well if it was legal? Problem is, I am a breast man. Meaning the bigger the better, which is why this a+ cup girl doesnât do much for me. But tits aside, (ahem) this movie actually has a plot, some genuinely funny moments and gore.
OK thatâs it for the first installment of the Smut Factor, in the cum-ing weeks I will have more reviews and hopefully an interview or two with the fine actresses of seduction cinema and other smut worthy horror films.

Hard rock supergroup Velvet Revolver will graduate to arena-level shows on its spring tour, which begins March 19 in Phoenix and will run through late May. During a short break in mid-April, the quintet will begin preproduction work on its sophomore RCA album, which it hopes to have ready for a Christmas release.
"The crowd is becoming more aware of the material as time goes by," guitarist Slash tells Billboard.com of how Velvet Revolver's live shows have evolved over its first year of existence. "The energy has become a little more up close and personal, and the band responds accordingly."

NEW YORK â In a land that time forgot â before Paris, before 50, before TV got real and punk went pop â giants roamed the earth ... leather-clad titans, rampaging from arena to arena, leaving a trail of empty bottles and
spent women in their wake. They trafficked in thundering racket, and their decibels were matched only by their pyro, with flames seemingly meeting every fist pump and cymbal crash.
Excess was their business, and business was good.
But then, as forcefully as they came, they were ushered from view, obscured by smaller sounds and smaller shows. Message replaced mayhem, brooding replaced bravado and purpose replaced pyro. Suddenly, "too much" was no longer "not enough" but simply, well, too much.
But on Thursday, as Mötley CrĂŒe's Rock and Roll Circus Tour rolled into New York's sold-out Madison Square Garden (for the first time in 15 years, by the band's count), years melted away, rock got big again and the CrĂŒe were once again the biggest, baddest band in the land â at least to the 20,000 packed into the home of the Knicks (check out photos from the show.).
A lot has changed since the CrĂŒe scorched the earth at the apex of their popularity. Fortunately, the one thing that hasn't changed is the band itself, still loud, rude and tattooed as ever.
Opening for themselves (who better?), the CrĂŒe served up an early set of early material that fittingly reached deep into their debut, Too Fast for Love and their breakthrough second album, Shout at the Devil. Returning to the stage after a short intermission astride roaring custom choppers, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, Vince Neil and Mick Mars (the lone pedestrian in the group) immediately ripped into a vintage Mötley set that seemed torn from the group's 1989 Dr. Feelgood Tour. Thick with anthems from that album as well as 1987's Girls, Girls, Girls, the band delivered a late set that served up the hits and kept everyone â from freshly minted hipsters to aging metalheads to cubicle-dwelling closet headbangers â shouting along to every word.
All the while, the CrĂŒe bashed away, Vince ready for battle in denim and a sleeveless army shirt, Mick playing the smirking lord of the underworld in head-to-toe black topped by a skull-and-crossbones top hat, Nikki fresh from the Thunderdome in tattered leather, and Tommy ready for, well, anything in a black thong.
The band slid from "Girls ..." into "Wild Side" and then on to the Feelgood hit "Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)," a track that likely had more to do with the bandmembers themselves than any two-timing woman who ever wandered through their lives. But on Thursday there were no signs of the animosity and ill-will that has marked the CrĂŒe's sordid history. Mick and Nikki playfully slapped at each other between riffs while Tommy and Vince marveled as the crowd bellowed the first several verses of "Home Sweet Home" â "That was fucking amazing," Tommy gushed.
Indeed, instead of tension there was a surprising amount of love in the room, not just among the CrĂŒe, but also among the fans, each seemingly glad to be transported to a time when rock was big and bummers were few. Grown men in Dockers and sweater-vests stood alongside tattooed hulks in leather and ripped jeans. While some held lighters aloft during the band's ballad "Without You," others opted to hoist their illuminated Blackberry pagers. Maybe it was the rock, maybe it was the pyro or maybe it was the "tittie-cam," Tommy's voyeuristic toy that made minor stars out of audience members willing to bare a little flesh (don't worry, ladies, Tommy eventually returns the favor by displaying the most recognizable tallywacker on earth).
Beyond the flashing, beyond Nikki's pyro-fueled theramin experiment and beyond Tommy's drum solo (fans well know that it's not what he plays, but where he plays, and this time out he's about 40 feet above the stage), the CrĂŒe trotted out groove-heavy anthems built for big rooms (and big shows). "Dr. Feelgood," "Same Old Situation," "Kickstart My Heart" and the new tracks "If I Die Tomorrow" and "Sick Love Song" helped to keep the energy high and the metal horns flying. The CrĂŒe eventually wrapped their encore with covers of the Beatles' "Helter Skelter" and the Sex Pistols' "Anarchy in the U.K.," the latter featuring a stage full of patent-leather bikini-clad fire eaters.
It was big, loud and dirty ... all things that rock was at one point. And Mötley â and their fans â wouldn't have it any other way.

The last piece by HST published by Rolling Stone was "Fear and Loathing, Campaign 2004"
Some of the great text is as follows.
Did you see Bush on TV, trying to debate? Jesus, he talked like a donkey with no brains at all. The tide turned early, in Coral Gables, when Bush went belly up less than halfway through his first bout with Kerry, who hammered poor George into jelly. It was pitiful. . . . I almost felt sorry for him, until I heard someone call him "Mister President," and then I felt ashamed.
Richard Nixon looks like a flaming liberal today, compared to a golem like George Bush. Indeed. Where is Richard Nixon now that we finally need him?
That river is still running. All we have to do is get out and vote, while it's still legal, and we will wash those crooked warmongers out of the White House.

They can't let a good idea be. Another remake of a classic TV show! This is past the point of being, ri godamn diculous.
Irish actor Stuart Townsend is ABC's new Kolchak in the drama pilot "Night Stalker" with Gabrielle Union also joining the cast. Townsend is most remembered for his roles as Lestat in "Queen of the Damned", the devious Dorian Gray in "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" and appearing alongside girlfriend Charlize Theron in the films "Trapped" & "Head in the Clouds". His only TV credit to date was his one-off appearance last week as a sexy 'pansexual' pastry chef who seduces both Will & Karen on NBC's "Will & Grace". "Kolchak" follows a reporter investigating various supernatural and supranatural creatures, ranging from aliens to vampires to Aztec sacrificial cults.
Kolchak starring and narrated by Darren McGavin was originally two made-for-TV movies that aired in the early 70's, and featured the adventures of Carl Kolchak, a down-on-the heels reporter who ran afoul of a vampire in Las Vegas and an alchemist in Seattle. These movies proved popular enough that they were spun off into a series, which placed Kolchak in Chicago with the Independent News Service. Each week for 20 weeks he investigated various supernatural and supranatural creatures, ranging from aliens to vampires to Aztec sacrificial cults.
Although it only lasted one season on ABC, Kolchak has remained a cult favorite and been kept alive through the efforts of creator Jeffrey Grant Rice, Mark Dawidziak, and the folks at Moonstone Comics, who have two Kolchak comics going (see Links). There's an anthology of Kolchak stories coming out this year and discussion of a new Night Stalker (2005) series produced by The X-Files's Frank Spotnitz for ABC.
The original series now airs on Sci Fi.
Darren McGavin is best known for his role as the father in the classic "A Christmas Story".

Gawker.com describes Durst's anatomy as "unimpressive."
Limp Bizkit lead singer Fred Durst struck back at the Web sites that posted X-rated video clips of him romping with an ex-girlfriend with an $80 million lawsuit yesterday.
"The Video was never intended by either participant to be shown," the lawsuit states.
Durst, who explained in court papers how he "held the camera," said computer hackers stole the video from his hard drive and posted it without his permission.
Secret Service agents looking into Paris Hilton's cell phone hacking are also conducting "an elaborate investigation" into the Durst incident, the papers state.
Among the sites being sued is the Manhattan-based Gawker, which featured the Durst dalliance in a Feb. 25 posting.
Gawker founder Nick Denton said they took down the link three days before they heard from Durst's lawyers.
"We don't get it - we complied before you even got around to wasting paper on us," he wrote.
Maybe it's because Gawker described Durst's anatomy as "unimpressive."
The Smoking Gun posts: One week after a sex video starring Fred Durst began circulating on the Internet, the Limp Bizkit front man has filed a $80 million lawsuit against web sites that posted the footage and stills from the singer's X-rated romp with a former girlfriend.
In a federal copyright infringement/invasion of privacy complaint filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, Durst notes that he recorded the racy video around 2003 (with the consent of his partner) and that it was "never intended to be shown to the public."
In a declaration filed with the lawsuit, Peter Katsis, Durst's personal manager, states that he was contacted last December by the "owner of a pornographic video company" who claimed to have access, via a third party, to a video showing Durst having sex. Katsis said he rejected the individual's offer to sell the video and share the profits. Katsis said that he eventually spoke directly with the third party, who is not identified, and again rejected proposals to commercially exploit the video.
In his declaration, Katsis noted that he was aware of the existence of a Durst sex video, but believed that it was stored safely on the hard drive of the performer's personal computer. However, on February 25, Katsis said that the third party told him that Durst's computer had been hacked and that stills from the video had been posted online (the third party, Katsis reported, told him that "the same individuals who hacked into Paris Hilton's cell phone" had stolen the video from Durst's computer).
In a declaration filed in support of a motion for a temporary restraining order against the web sites, Durst lawyer Edwin McPherson stated that Secret Service agents were investigating the Hilton and Durst hacks as "connected" events. Below you'll find an excerpt from Durst's TRO application, which provides a detailed account of the Durst video scandal and the singer's beef against Internet service providers and sites like captaincum.com, slightlystoopid.com, and several members of the Gawker Media blogging stable.

From an interview with Danny Boyle for his wonderful new film, Millions:
He had a lot to say about his film career and his upcoming movies, including his next feature, Sunshine. It's a science fiction film about a spaceship sent to the sun because a section of our local star is going out - and they need to re-ignite it with "a bomb the size of Kansas." There's a deeper mystery element as well, since a similar mission went there seven years earlier - and was never heard from again. At the end, our heroes meet the creator of intelligent life in the universe - "Certainly that's worth your ten dollars?" he asked.
The other interesting future project he spilled about was 28 Weeks Later, the sequel to his 28 Days Later. While he won't be involved beyong an exectutive producer credit, he does know what it's about: "It's a very strong, simple idea again," he said, "England has basically been abandoned, and there's been no life there for six months. The Americans arrive to start it back up again, to reboot it. Especially the franchises that are going to waste!"
He also mentioned that he still wants to do Porno, the sequel to Trainspotting, but not for years. "It's like what they're like in twenty years time when they're middle-aged, but it's a long-term project way down the line. The challenge for those actors will be to come back to characters that they've played and then to play them with twenty years of your own experience laid on top of them. It should be interesting. The idea of it is not to attract a new audience to Trainspotting - it's to play it to everybody who watched it when it first came out, because they also would have that twenty years of ups and downs and what have you."

The official site of heavy metal guitarist OS aka Marc Osorno is now up at www.projectos.tv and has a link to his forthcoming new project LOS PINCHEROS www.lospincheros.com which will be a Chicago based metal band more in the vein of Testament and KISS as opposed to his most recent projects Monkeys With Handguns and Fashion Bomb.
Marc states on his new site: "Finally, I'm able to play what I want to play, what's on my mind. One day I woke up and realized I was surrounded with bands that idea step their talent by dressing all pretty. The days of me participating in commercialized garbage are over. Although I do believe in showmanship and performing well for the audience, substance is what makes the difference."
You can view and join his my space profile at:

While still in their infancy stage and rehearsing, LOS PINCHEROS are slated to release their first effort later this year.
Monkeys With Handguns is reportedly re-forming with core members JSIN MUEDT and JEFF WINDISCH. More info will be forthcoming.

Los Angeles, CA--On March 15th, Magnolia Pictures and Rhino Home Video will release END OF THE CENTURY: THE STORY OF THE RAMONES on DVD, a portrait of the seminal New York punk rock band. Considered by many the gods of rock 'n' roll's fundamentalist fringe, the Ramones are a band whose influence reaches over several generations of musicians and fans alike. END OF THE CENTURY is both a celebration of their music and a mesmerizing document of the group's road to near success, pitted with emotional power struggles and substance abuse. The film debuted in New York on Friday August 20th, 2004 followed by a national rollout in theaters around the country.

New York City was caught off guard in 1974 by the angry scream of punk. Raw and unrestrained, it was a sharp contrast to the banality of soft rock and disco. At the forefront of the scene were the Ramones, headed by Joey; who was often accused of geekiness but later on went on to redeem countless others from that agony, troubled bassist Dee Dee; burdened by the weight of his own genius, guitarist and master drill sergeant Johnny; and drummer Tommy (who was followed by a parade of other drummers, including Marky and Richie Ramone). Looking like extras from THE WILD ONES with their black leather jackets, bowl haircuts and Converse sneakers, they ripped through three-chord songs about sniffing glue, the neighborhood, teenage sex and angst. They were a gang of misfits from Forest Hills, Queens, united in the belief in salvation and deliverance through the power of rock 'n' roll.
It was a rocky road for the pseudo-brothers: the success that always seemed around the corner continually faded in the distance, as British bands they inspired were crowned the âoriginators of punkâ by the mainstream music press. The film's title refers to their 1980 album of the same name, produced by the infamous, gun-toting, hit song guru Phil Spector, an endeavor that strained the already tenuous relation between band members. Poor record sales turned dreams of rock glory into gigging as a means of employment. All the frustration they felt against an industry that gave up on them and abandoned their cause divided them further as they seemingly turned their anger against each other.
New York-based filmmakers Michael Gramaglia and Jim Fields share a life-long love of punk music and their passion is evident in this candid portrait of a band torn by internal struggles and consequences of the lifestyle. END OF THE CENTURY moves from the band's CBGB and London heydays, the decade-long silence between Joey and Johnny caused by a dispute over a girl, through to the deaths of Joey and Dee Dee Ramone and their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame in 2002. Together with unseen live and studio footage, extensive interviews with ex-band mates, family, friends and figures from New York City's punk scene, END OF THE CENTURY not only documents an important chapter in music history, but also chronicles the bonds of childhood friendship and their gradual breakdown.

USA Network's highly rated SF series The 4400 will begin production on its second season soon and returns to the cable network in June, Zap2It reported. The show, about 4,400 people presumed missing or dead who return to Earth looking exactly as they did when they disappeared, is scheduled to premiere June 5.
When it comes back, The 4400 will pick up six months after the events of the first season, with Homeland Security agent Tom Baldwin (Joel Gretsch) having been reinstated to his job and continuing to investigate the returnees with partner Diana Skouris (Jacqueline McKenzie).
Meanwhile, would-be 4400 leader Jordan Collier (Billy Campbell) has published a book about the abductees containing some rather controversial allegations about the group, the site reported.
Other cast members returning for the show's second season include Patrick Flueger (Shawn Farrell), Mahershalalhashbaz Ali (Richard Tyler), Laura Allen (Lily Moore), Chad Faust (Kyle) and Conchita Campbell (Maia).
The 4400 tells the stories of 4,400 alien abductees after they are returned to earth. In the words of the executive producers, these are stories of people dealing with traumatic changes, driven by the mystery of what happened and why. Some of them have been affected in mysterious ways, and some will have certain abilities, both good and bad, so part of the drama will be watching them adjust to these changes within themselves.
The series kicks off with a ball of light sailing toward Earth, but rather than the expected catastrophic event, thousands of returned abductees are left with no memory of their otherworldly experiences. Each has been gone anywhere from a few months to several decades but hasn't aged a day.
Most critics have described the show as Close Encounters Of The Third Kind meets X-Men.

We've got several new items on writer/director Mark Steven Johnson's Ghost Rider, which stars Nicolas Cage, Wes Bentley, Eva Mendes, Matt Long, Sam Elliott, Peter Fonda, and Donal Logue. First up is 'Maarten' with a report from the Melbourne set:
A mate of mine and I went down to the Lt Lonsdale Street set to see the crew set up all the various equipment. We were there for about an hour and a half before we recognised any familar faces, like Mark Steven Johnson and Bennett Walsh.
I overheard Bennett Walsh mention that Ghost Rider would turn left into the alleyway, to begin the scene, and just where the camera should be postioned.
We also had the stunt cycle ride past us, and man is it loud! It's low ridden, with a huge front end and exhaust on the rear. I'm not into motorcycles, but damn do I LOVE this bike!
We saw a stand-in in a large black trenchcoat, whose job it was to stand in the middle of the alleyway of the set, facing the bike. He was dressed in denim jeans, the trenchcoat and black shirt. I'm thinking he was the stand-in for either Blackheart or Caretaker, but I cannot be sure.
Also we saw all the crew's tags which allow them access onto the set. The Ghost Rider logo is the same as the 1990's GR comic book logo. Nice!
I'm going back there tomorrow night so hopefully I'll get to see some of the cast this time.
Meanwhile, 'Robert' has sent some interesting bits, starting with a report from the 20th Annual SPAA Conference:
Digital Pictures Network is making huge inroads into the Hollywood film market with a growing list of US film titles to its credit. In fact, Digital Pictures Melbourne has begun the year with three major US feature film projects on its production slate, Charlotte's Web (Paramount Pictures), Ghost Rider (Columbia Pictures Entertainment) and Fred Schepisi's Empire Falls for HBO.
Digital Pictures is also transferring the HD rushes for the Marvel comic adaptation, Ghost Rider which began shooting on 14th February. Ghost Rider will shoot for five months at Melbourne's Central City Studios at the Docklands as well as regional and metropolitan locations. Ghost Rider is based on the motorcycle-riding comic book character Johnny Blaze, who becomes possessed with the spirit of a demon in exchange for the safety of his true love. Mark Steven Johnson (Daredevil, Elektra) wrote the screenplay and will direct the film, starring Nicolas Cage and Jon Voight.
Digital Pictures is sending electronic daily rushes and AVID files to Los Angeles for Ghost Rider and Charlotte's Web.
Speaking of special effects, the Animex International Festival of Animation had this interesting bit:
In August of 2003 Rachelle joined the recruitment team at DreamWorks Feature Animation and helped bring in artists on such projects as Shrek 2, Shark Tale, and Over the Hedge. She currently works with the Digital Character Group at Sony Pictures Imageworks, where she is recruiting animation talent for feature films including Open Season, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Surfâs Up, Monster House, Ghost Rider, and Spider-Man 3.
He also says the following impressive list of crew members are confirmed:
-(3 time Oscar nominee) Richard Francis (Air Force One, Se7en,Shawshank Redemption) - Editor
-Kirk Petruccelli (Blade, Tomb Raider 1&2) - Production Designer
-(Oscar winner) Lizzy Gardiner (The Adventures of Priscilla, M:I-2, Stealth) - Costume Designer
-(Oscar winner) Kevin Mack (Fight Club, A Beautiful Mind, Big Fish) - Visual Effects Supervisor
-Marko Anttonen (Peter Pan) - Set Designer
-Christine King (Star Wars 3, Stealth) - Casting Director
-Catherine Bishop (Stealth) - Production Manager

Los Angeles, CA (March 1, 2005) â If you didnât catch the traveling freak show that is Mötley CrĂŒeâs spectacular âRed, White & Crue Tour 2005⊠Better Live Than Dead,â youâre in luck.
Tomorrow morning, the bad boys of rock will announce an additional 55 shows on Howard Sternâs nationally syndicated radio show. The new dates, which follow their tour in Europe and Asia, start on July 26 in Los Angeles, CA and run through October 16 in Sioux City Iowa. A pre-sale of these dates will begin Wednesday (March 2) on AOL CityGuide (www.AOLcityguide.com), with general tickets on sale March 5.
These new dates, dubbed âCarnival of Sins,â will include some festival-style amphitheatre and arena dates with special guests, fellow Island/IDJ recording artists Sum 41, The Exies and some of the hottest new rock bands in various markets, to be announced.
Program and Music Directors have responded strongly to âIf I Die Tomorrow,â which garnered Top 5 airplay at the Active, Heritage and Mainstream Rock formats. Clear Channel Regional Vice President of Rock Programming Jim Richards said: âRadio stations are getting a big response from CrĂŒe fans because they know they are part of something special.â
The bandâs tour, co-promoted by VH1 and VH1 Classic, has been drawing record crowds around the world, with the group eventually playing before an estimated 1 million in the U.S. Mötley CrĂŒe had offers from more than 100 cities for their summer run, many of them conducting âBring the CrĂŒeâ campaigns through local radio stations and media promotions that resulted in petitions being signed and a series of 55 dates added in the U.S. through the summer and fall. A similar promotion in Canada saw the bandâs new album, Red White & CrĂŒe, certified platinum, and several concerts north of the border added to the tour.
The reviews from the first few dates of the self-proclaimed âLoudest Show On Earth,â which includes fire-breathing midgets, aerial displays and assorted circus freaks and geeks, have been uniformly enthusiastic.
The Detroit Free Press proclaimed: âCertain rock bands are infamous for their sins. Ozzy Osbourne is known for his drug past and Van Halen for firing lead singers. Kiss was known for womanizing; Marilyn Manson is allegedly a Satanist. However, L.A. metal quartet Mötley CrĂŒe is legendary for all of these vices, and then some.â
âAll that was missing from this show was someone being shot out of a cannon!â raved the Toronto Sun. âGive them time, given the band is returning in the summer.â
The Toronto Star enthused: âSuddenly, a reunited CrĂŒe seems like the very embodiment of cool.â
The Cleveland Plain-Dealer said simply: âSpread the word: Mötley CrĂŒe is back!â
The bandâs New York stay includes, weather permitting, rolling up to the New York Stock Exchange in their custom-made motorcycles, ringing the final bell to close the market day and performing to a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden.
Mötley CrĂŒeâs new Island/UME greatest hits compilation debuted at #6 on the Billboard charts on the strength of three new songs, including the Top 5 Active Rock hit, âIf I Die Tomorrow.â
The first Mötley CrĂŒe world tour in six years officially launched Feb. 17 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. For more information, see www.motley.com.

This DVD contains "The ResErection" documentary â a very personal 60-minutes documentary about the re-union of Turbonegro â and the complete live show of the very first live appearance after the re-union at the Quart Festival in Norway 2002. It also includes additional footage such as further live songs from the Hultsfred and Bizarre Festival in 2002, Pal Pot baking pizza at Pamparius Pizza Place, âHappy Tom sums it upâ and a Photo Gallery featuring Mambo Kurt playing âPrince Of The Rodeoâ!
For four years the unpredictable Beast of Oslo slept, and the behind-the-scenes story of this period and the redeeming resurrection that followed can be better understood after seeing "The ResErection". Even without drugs and makeup, Turbonegro is a fascinating band, far removed from the mindlessness of which their critics gladly accuse them.
After enjoying this DVD it's easy to understand once again why one loves this band so much, and why the conspiratorial religious community Turbojugend is so happy to have their icons within reach again.

ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - Hunter S. Thompson's body was found in a chair in the kitchen in front of his typewriter with the word "counselor" typed in the centre of the page, according to sheriff's reports.
The word was typed on stationery from the Fourth Amendment Foundation, which was started to defend victims of unwarranted search and seizure, according to reports released Tuesday.
It was not immediately known what, if any, significance the word had to the founder of "gonzo" journalism or to his family.
Juan Thompson found his father dead on Feb. 20 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. After reporting the death, Juan Thompson walked outside the Woody Creek home and fired three shotgun blasts into the air.
"Juan told me he had shot a shotgun into the air to mark the passing of his father," Pitkin County Deputy Sheriff John Armstrong said in his report.
Juan Thompson was allowed to go into the kitchen alone to drape a golden orange scarf over his father's shoulders, according to Armstrong. Jennifer Winkel Thompson, Juan Thompson's wife, said the family had purchased the silk scarf in Florence, Italy, and gave it to Hunter Thompson the night before.
The couple and their six-year-old son were in the house when Thompson, 67, took a handgun, put it to his mouth and fired.
A soft-sided gun case was found at Thompson's feet along with a spent shell casing, according to reports.
The family has cancelled plans for a public gathering in favour of a private service. A public event will be held at a later date. Plans also are in the works to blast Thompson's ashes from a cannon, which was one of the author's wishes.

Underground pioneers Glenn Danzig and Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein set aside decades of differences and got back to basics Monday night with a blistering, half-hour set of Misfits classics that harked back to the Hub's punk heyday.
The two former bandmates had played together just twice in 20 years before their onstage reunion at the Roxy - the first of three East Coast performances - which lived up to the hype.
Pale-faced and dressed in his trademark black T-shirt and pants, Danzig set the stage with a dark, muscular set of material culled from his eight solo records. Snarling and letting loose with his signature deep howl, the Revere native sounded as strong as ever fronting a power-packed band that included Prong guitarist Tommy Victor and Type O Negative drummer Johnny Kelly.
`SkinCarver,'' off his latest release, ``Circle of Snakes,'' was classic Danzig with its heavy metal chug and dark imagery. Similarly haunting was ``1000 Devils Reign,'' also from the new record. Some early songs were marred, however, by feedback and sound problems, as well as overall sloppiness.
The somber mood in the packed, 1,500-capacity venue was shattered when a shirtless Doyle hit the stage and the band ripped into the first of several Misfits punk anthems. Danzig shouted his horror flick-inspired lyrics while Doyle riffed like it was 1983 on ``Mommy Can I Go Out and Kill Tonight'' and ``Die, Die My Darling.'' Though not a full Misfits reunion, it was enough to satiate the mixed-age crowd's old school thirst.
Danzig finished up with a brash take on ``Twist of Cain,'' from his first solo album, and the angst-ridden crowd-pleaser ``Mother,'' from the same release.
Among the openers, Montreal's Kataklysm hit strong with an hour of pure deathcore that had fists pumping and the pit moving. ``Serenity'' was anything but, with a pummeling death metal grind that turned the popular dance club into a true headbangers' ball.
Though the Misfits set was starkly different than the rest of the night's metal menu, it was clear evidence of the early 1980s horror punkers' impact on not only punk, but also metal.

Former STATIC-X guitarist Tripp Eisen's bail has reportedly been set at $1 million on charges that include kidnapping, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
Eisen, whose real name is Tod Rex Salvador, appeared in Central Justice Center Court in Santa Ana, California, on Monday afternoon (Feb. 28) and is scheduled to make his next appearance at the Central Superior Court in Santa Ana on Wednesday (March 2).
Eisen was arrested in Orange County, California, for allegedly meeting and sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl two months ago in New Jersey. The 39-year-old musician allegedly met the Sayreville, New Jersey girl on the Internet, drove from Pennsylvania on January 7 to meet her, and assaulted her in a shopping center in Old Bridge, New Jersey. The girl's mother found out about the incident and alerted police.
Eisen faces a maximum of 30 years in prison if convicted on the kidnapping charge alone.
On February 10, Eisen was arrested on one felony count of crimes against children. Authorities from the Orange County (California) Sheriff's Department found the 39-year-old musician sleeping in a parked car with an underage female with whom he'd just had sexual intercourse, according to Bergen, New Jersey's The Record. Eisen was taken into custody and released on $100,000 bail several hours later.
Eisen's attorney, Mark Werksman, expressed confidence that his client's "name will be cleared."
Former Bandmate Jumps To TRIPP EISEN's Defense: 'Innocent Until Proven Guilty'
Former DOPE/PRIMER 55 drummer Preston Nash has spoken out in defense of ex-STATIC-X guitarist Tripp Eisen amid allegations that Eisen sexually assaulted at least two underage girls that he met online. Writing to STATIC-X's official message board, where the overall sentiment has been overwhelmingly negative towards Tripp ever since news of Eisen's arrest broke on Saturday (Feb. 26), Nash said, "I'm frankly sickened and disappointed by the response of so many people on this message board. Listen up: THERE'S TOO MANY HOLES IN THE STORY AND NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION AVAILABLE FOR ANYONE HERE TO BE JUDGING AND CRUCIFYING TRIPP RIGHT NOW!!! Yes, Tripp is in trouble, but exactly what happened is not fully known yet, and for anyone to be mouthing off and gossiping right now about this situation is stupid and unfair to Tripp and STATIC-X. I know Tripp probably better than anyone here on this board, and I can say this...I've lived with Tripp both in NJ and CA, and of course toured with him in DOPE for 2 years. I've never seen him or have known him to have any sexually physical interaction with underage girls.
"As a parent who finds kid-touching the ultimate in reprehensible behavior, I hope he's innocent. But more information needs to be brought to light. Hopefully there's an explanation for all this, but until we know for sure, lighten up, and try giving the benefit of the doubt to a man who is a great person and brilliant performer...
"Innocent until proven guilty, and gossip doesn't make someone guilty."

WASHINGTON - Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, speaking in Washington, DC Monday, said he aims to proceed aggressively in the prosecution of obscenity cases.
Gonzales spoke to a Washington meeting of the Hoover Institution, a public policy think tank based at Stanford University.
Mondayâs speech, Gonzalesâ first lengthy address since becoming attorney general in early February, put forth a broad agenda, which outlined the departmentâs coming priorities.
Notably, Gonzales said people who distribute obscene materials do not enjoy constitutional guarantees of free speech.
"I am committed to prosecuting these crimes aggressively," he said.
The Justice Department is appealing the dismissal of an obscenity case in Pittsburgh in which a federal judge said prosecutors went too far in trying to block the sale of pornographic movies over the Internet and through the mail.

Porn Valley- Of all the stars of the Golden Age of adult film, none loomed nearly so large as Seka. Today, some Swedish filmmakers look back at the career of Swedish Eroticaâs biggest name.
The porno scene of the late '70s and '80s has managed to garner a modicum of mainstream attention from both fiction and documentary filmmakers in recent years. From the slick Hollywood films Boogie Nights and Wonderland to the biographically-oriented Porn Star and Wadd: The Life and Times of John C. Holmes (easily the best of the bunch), properties dissecting the heyday of Americaâs prurient past are a fairly hot commodity.
When it comes to celebrities from the classic adult cinema era, there arenât many personalities whose careers grabbed enough headlines to give their name a household cachet outside of the explicit world that they typically inhabited. On the male side thereâs no question who Mr. Big was; the legend of Johnny Wadd stands tallest among the men who have lent their skills to the sex film industry. On the female side, there are a few more who have penetrated the consciousness of the public, with fresh-faced Marilyn Chambers and notorious minor Traci Lords well-known even to those who have never viewed a blue movie. But of all the starlets who moved through the licentious and libidinal world of late '70s celluloid sex, the platinum blonde born Dorothea Patton â known more commonly by her one name moniker Seka â is perhaps best known of all.
As a transitory figure from the days when pornography was making its move from the grindhouse to the living room, Seka had the good fortune to have her star ascend at a peak time of earning for figures of her ilk. But it was hardly mere luck that allowed her to become the most renowned adult actress of her day, as this woman was possessed of a powerful business-oriented mind that allowed her to capitalize on her fame and parlay it into stunning success. Coupling a manifest pride in her corporeal presence with a mental acumen sharp enough to trademark her personality, Seka rose to the top of her profession at a time when such celebrity was more lucrative than it has ever been.
Sekaâs impassioned performances as idol left a lustful legacy that still resounds some 30 years after its occurrence, and they are especially noteworthy because of the democratic Stepfordization that is videoâs endowment to the X-rated world. Given this towering stature, a trio of Swedish filmmakers has chosen to examine the starletâs life in full with the documentary Desperately Seeking Seka. The movie has played domestically thus far only at a festival or two, but has already been shown in Europe and elsewhere (though it was recently banned from appearing at the Singapore International Film Festival) and has just now debuted on a lengthy all region NTSC disk from Njuta Films.
The central item included on the disc is a nearly hour-long biographical examination of the woman born Dorothea Patton. This narrative is not without its flaws, as it employs a relatively annoying âpop-upâ style of graphic presentation that serves only to clutter its documentary framework. Thereâs also the problem of some wayward meandering, as part of the filmâs approach involves visiting with contemporary adult stars at a Las Vegas expo. The assumption here is that these bits are supposed to delineate the big business that the sex film has become and to imply Sekaâs role in building the industry, but in the main thereâs little insight given that would justify the minutes spent covering the subject.
The rest of the film, however, is a worthwhile picture of one journalistâs attempt to track down Seka today and interview her about her past. Along the way we meet various personalities who speak about the famous star and the era that spawned her fame, from well-known sleazeball Al Goldstein to former co-workers Bob Burge, Randy West and Veronica Hart (an intelligent figure who still directs today under her real name Jane Hamilton, and who also appeared as a judge in P.T. Andersonâs Boogie Nights). Though the filmâs trailer teases audiences about whether or not this fanâs quest will be successful, itâs hard to imagine that itâll spoil things by mentioning the outcome here. (But if this sort of thing concerns you, stop reading immediately.)
Ultimately, the filmmakers make their way to the Windy City to try and chat with the erotic legend in a contemporary setting. When they finally discover her whereabouts, the former star consents to their requests and proceeds to openly hold forth about her salacious career. Sheâs quite candid on a number of subjects that concern the halcyon days of XXX yore, covering a range of ground with perspective and insight. Overall the star looks comfortable and healthy, and though age has crept up on her (as it does to every one of us), her confident beauty still shines right through the years and her smarts are quite clearly intact.
This final portion of the documentary is what really makes it a valuable venture, for hearing Seka give her perspective on a number of topics is both interesting and historically significant. My personal favorite moment is when she reveals that she turned down a role in a particular mainstream film because they wouldnât pay her enough for a cameo - and then goes on to sneer at some adult industry figures for whoring themselves out because they wanted to be in a mainstream movie so badly. (Is there a truer example of the essence of exploitation than adult celebrities performing their act on the cheap in a Hollywood movie simply because they wanted to be in a ârealâ film? I think not.)
While the documentary itself is a solid work on the career of one of the greatest erotic film stars of all time, itâs the extra material included on the DVD that really fleshes out its subject. An entertaining commentary track, some excerpted scenes, a few outtakes, a photo gallery, a filmography, many production notes and publicity materials are all contained on the disk to complete the package. Also of note are tons of deleted and extended interviews, and though some are with lesser figures the extra information garnered from the likes of Jane Hamilton and Seka herself from these question and answer sessions is at times completely priceless.
With choice anecdotes and astute reminiscing peppered throughout the main event itself as well as the extra bonus material, the more minor gaffes of Desperately Seeking Sekaâs narrative are easily overlooked. The filmmakers choose quite wisely with regards to many aspects of the production, and its ideal musical backdrop (think boom-chikka-wow-wow) and carefully selected examples of the starâs classic work heartily evoke the era of the celebrityâs fame. Surely not an outing for the prudishly faint of heart (though there is purportedly also an edit of the film made suitable for television), this newest example of the pornumentary is a fitting examination of one of adult cinemaâs true Hall of Famers.
Few actresses who have worked blue have ever possessed either the beauty or the brains as the woman known as Seka at the height of her powers, and this lasting tribute to her legacy is both fascinating and archivally meaningful. Itâs unfortunate that at this point thereâs still only a European release to represent the risquĂ© life of one of the American adult cinemaâs authentic originals.
