MINISTRY: Anthology To Include Remixes, Brand-New Song
MINISTRY's Al Jourgensen is currently working on remixes for an upcoming MINISTRY anthology, tentatively dubbed "Rantology", due before the end of the year. In addition, the collection will feature a brand-new MINISTRY track called "The Great Satan", Jourgensen revealed during an online chat on Monday (May 30). Songs scheduled to be remixed for the upcoming set include "NWO", "Bad Blood", "No W", "Stigmata", "Jesus Built My Hotrod", "Unsung" and "Bloodlines". MINISTRY and its offshoot project the REVOLTING COCKS will be teaming up for a summer 2006 U.S. tour. More information will be made available during the coming months.
REVOLTING COCKS' current lineup includes Jourgensen alongside Phil "Phildo" Owen (SKATENIGS), John Monte (M.O.D., MIND FUNK, DRAGPIPE), Mike Scaccia (RIGOR MORTIS, MINISTRY) and Mark Baker (ex-FEAR, HELLIONS, SHADOW REICHENSTEIN).
Al stated that the working title for the upcoming Ministry album (to be
released around April '06), is Rio Grande Blood (a take on an album by
ZZ Top called Rio Grande Mud).
The upcoming Best of Revco release (from Rykodisc) should be out around
September/Octobor '05 and will be called "Cock and Loaded".
Regarding the upcoming Revco release: six tracks are done, and Gibby
Haynes sings on all but one.

Not the Ramones Set to Rock Whisky

HOLLYWOOD - In what will no doubt go down in the annals of Los Angeles rock spectaculars, Kurt Lockwood’s Pornopalooza featuring Not the Ramones will take place June 11 at the Whisky A Go Go on the world famous Sunset Strip.
The very special evening will combine two of the greatest things known to man: Ramones songs and pornography. The band (which features multi-AVN Award-winner Kurt Lockwood, as well as AVN publisher Tim "I only voted for him in one category" Connelly and AVN production coordinator Ed Webb) will devote the night to honoring the quartet from Queens, with special appearances by the legendary Ron Jeremy, plus sex biz stalwarts Taylor Wane and Tabitha Stevens. Okay kiddies seems at least every day someone comes up to me or emails me and asks what's going on with our favorites and yours the band called MINISTRY. Well Al's wife Angie the lovely Mrs. Jay wrote to me this morning and gave me the okay to share the following facts and happenings with you. This is an MK exclusive.
Mrs Jay writes:
"Al's back in the studio focusing on the new RevCo. Gibby Haynes came out in Feb, did some songs with Al and is coming back in July to finish the record with Al. we'll be touring Minsitry/RevCo in May-July 2006, with the Gibster as the lead singer of the Cox.
A Best of RevCo will be out on Rykodisc this fall, with a sneak preview of 2 new RevCo trax.
As well, Sanctuary renewed the Ministry option and Al will be starting the new Ministry in August, delivery by Xmas with a release probably in early April 06. working title: "Rio Grande Mud"
so the boyz are back in town in hell paso. Mike Scacca has moved to hell paso. Gets his place this weekend, with his PREGNANT girlfriend, Jenny (she and i are working on a new clothing line - her b/g is fashion in LA, where she had her own company). darrell James (our keyboardist) is also here, and Mark Baker (drummer) will be punching in around mid-July.
We're gonna have an AMAZING line-up for Ministry's tour next year, but I cannot tell you yet til it's signed on the dotted line. next tour is gonna be KiLLaH!

Tarantino and Rodriguez's 'Grind' Up the Weinsteins!

Vaguely announced in the prior post is the Weinstein Bros. release of Grind House for which Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez each will direct a 60-minute horror tale. Grind House will be made in the spirit of old Hollywood presentations, including trailers and short extra materials between Quentin Tarantino, whose "Pulp Fiction" helped turn Miramax Films into a powerhouse, and Robert Rodriguez, whose "Spy Kids" movies have been a lucrative franchise for Miramax's genre arm Dimension, are teaming up to make a film for Bob and Harvey Weinstein's new Weinstein Co. The film is scheduled for a spring 2006 release as part of a rapidly evolving release slate, further details of which the Weinsteins announced Wednesday.
Tarantino and Rodriguez will each write and direct a 60-minute horror film, and the two films will be packaged together under the overall title "Grind House." The film, which is planned for a spring 2006 release, also will include its own trailers, bonus materials and added extras from other filmmakers that will be packaged together between the two horror flicks in a tribute to the old, big-city movie houses like those on New York's 42nd Street that earned the moniker grindhouses for programming genre pics back to back.
An aficionado of grindhouse, Tarantino sampled grindhouse genres in his recent "Kill Bill" films. He said "Grind House" could be the first in a series of films. In a statement, the Weinsteins said, "We couldn't imagine anything more exciting than a film being made together by the two godfathers of our companies, Quentin and Robert."

Nevada- Heidi Fleiss, the infamous Hollywood Madam, says she wants to open a spectacular new brothel in Nevada, one that could even benefit her competitors. To do so, she will have to convince rival brothel owners, elected officials, and the public that her multi-million dollar idea would be good for everyone.
It's a tall order, but Fleiss can be a convincing saleswoman. She revealed details about her Nevada plans exclusively to George Knapp of the I-Team.
Heidi Fleiss said, "I've never approached a girl. They approach me. They come to me in droves, even now."
She's been out of the prostitution racket for more than a decade, but nearly every time she appears in public, former Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss says she is approached by women who ask about working in the business.
In the early 90's, before her operation was busted, her working girls were dispatched to the richest people in Hollywood. These weren't seasoned hookers, but rather, beauty queens and wannabe starlets who decided to make a pile of money in a short period of time. It's the same sort of work force Fleiss says she will recruit to work in her Nevada brothel.
Heidi Fleiss says, "I get the finest. I get the cover of Seventeen magazine, the pageantry winner, the most beautiful girls on earth. I get everyone's dream girl. I get your dream girl."
If she can get a Nevada brothel opened, Fleiss says she will go on a worldwide recruiting tour, looking for fresh faces who are willing to work in a brothel for a short time, then use their earnings as a springboard to something else.
"I don't recommend prostitution as a career. If I had a daughter, which I don't, I wouldn't want her to be a prostitute. But look at these girls -- they go out all night, sleep with different guys every night. Why not? Hey, I guarantee you, living in Hollywood you have a better chance of getting into the movies through my White House brothel in Nevada than through CAA," Fleiss states.
She has a long way to go before her brothel becomes a reality. Fleiss has spent months looking at other bordellos and properties in Nevada, from Reno to Pahrump and in between. Because of her criminal record, she will need to latch on with an existing licensee for a period. She's talked to several but hasn't reached a deal.
Interviewed at her Little Shop of Sex in Hollywood, Heidi hinted that her customer base would likely include names from her little black book, names she never made public even during her legal troubles, customers who might pay a huge membership fee for her brothel.
The steep fees mean she would not be a direct threat to other brothel owners. "They're smarter than me. With what they're selling, everyone can afford. I cater to a very elite market. Not everyone's going to be able to afford a $5,000 entry fee, but everyone else can afford what they're selling."
Fleiss knows that government officials in rural counties will have their doubts. It's why she's quietly been meeting with many of them, to let them know her intentions. "My lesson was learned. I paid a very high price for the crime I committed. I did learn a lesson. I'm going to do it legally, not illegally."
In order to stand out from other brothels, and from the all-but-legal hooker rackets in Las Vegas, Fleiss has a grand design in mind -- a replica of the White House. She'll even call it the White House, but isn't trying to make a political statement, just a marketing one.
"It will work. They have the Eiffel Tower there, the Pyramids. So it's time for the White House. You build the White House and it will work. You want something the way it should be. Natural, beautiful, and that's what it is. It's just sex."
Fleiss says she has backers who are willing to invest millions of dollars in her venture, but she hopes to launch the business with her own money. She was expected to meet Tuesday with Nye County officials but has not yet decided if she will build her place in that county because she's been offered land and a building up near Reno.

GUNS N' ROSES Frontman Ordered To Pay Cleopatra's Legal Fees In Dispute Over Early Recordings
For the third time in 12 months, Los Angeles-based Cleopatra Records has prevailed in court against GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose, who tried to sue the label in June 2004 for releasing an album entitled "Hollywood Rose: The Roots of Guns N' Roses". The album featured the singer and other members of the infamous rock band during their pre-GN'R days. During the earlier part of the case, Rose lost his bid for an injunction to prevent the label from releasing demos of the band he formed prior to GUNS N' ROSES with ex-guitarist Izzy Stradlin, also known as Jeffrey Isabell. Later, in November 2004 and April 2005, the court made two related rulings in favor of Cleopatra and against Rose on all of his other claims, and entered summary judgment in favor of Cleopatra.
This week, on May 23, 2005, Judge Gary Allen Feess, Judge of the United States District Court for the Central District of California, awarded Cleopatra Records' request for attorneys' fees and costs in the amount of $24,176.38. .
Cleopatra Records was represented by Evan S. Cohen and S. Martin Keleti of Cohen and Cohen.
Cleopatra Records home of bands such as The Electric Hellfire Club and Razed In Black and other of teh labels artists were featured in MK ULTRA / MK in the 90's more than any other label.

Official Batman Begins Soundtrack Release

Warner Sunset Records has now officially announced the Batman Begins CD soundtrack to be released on June 14th:
On June 15th, Warner Bros. Pictures' "Batman Begins," from director Christopher Nolan, the summer's most anticipated theatrical release, opens nationwide featuring a score that will immediately make music history -- a unique collaboration between two of the screen's most honored and respected composers, Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard, working together for the first time. Warner Sunset Records will release the CD for "Batman Begins" on June 14th. The soundtrack contains 12 tracks composed by Zimmer and Howard and is 60 minutes in length.
"Watching this unique collaboration between two great talents has been constantly fascinating and exciting. Their contribution to 'Batman Begins' has been immeasurable," said Nolan.
"Collaborating on this project has been a lot of fun. Since 'Batman Begins' is a character driven story, we wanted to give Batman credibility through the music. We've created a score that tried to stay true to the duality of the character, capturing the motion, energy, darkness and rage of Batman," said Zimmer and Howard.
"Batman Begins" explores the origins of the Batman legend and the Dark Knight's emergence as a force for good in Gotham. In the wake of his parents' murder, disillusioned industrial heir Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) travels the world seeking the means to fight injustice and turn fear against those who prey on the fearful. He returns to Gotham and unveils his alter-ego: Batman, a masked crusader who uses his strength, intellect and an array of high tech deceptions to fight the sinister forces that threaten the city.
Zimmer is one of the most respected and talented composers in the business with over 100 film scores to his credit highlighted by his Oscar winning score for "The Lion King" as well as scores for Oscar winning films including "Gladiator," "Rainman," and "Driving Miss Daisy." Zimmer's credits also include "The Last Samurai," "Black Hawk Down," "Thelma and Louise," and the upcoming DreamWorks release "Madagascar."
James Newton Howard, a six time Oscar nominee, is best known for his spine tingling scores for M. Night Shyamalan's "The Village," for which he received an Oscar nomination, as well as "The Sixth Sense," "Unbreakable" and "Signs." Howard's list of credits includes over 90 films including "The Fugitive," "The Prince of Tides" and most recently "The Interpreter".

Philadelphia: Candlelight Records with Regain Records confirms June 14 as the stateside release date of Lunar Strain and Subterraean, the first two recordings from Sweden's In Flames. When Faith was getting out of her contract with JKP, she shot an Internet scene, but those come equipped with asterisks in the record book. Meanwhile, Cytherea, who's shooting Squirtwoman 3, apparently had her nose put out of joint by MTV's Trishelle on Sunday's edition of The Real World. NINE INCH NAILS To Headline VOODOO MUSIC EXPERIENCE
According to Billboard.com, NINE INCH NAILS have been confirmed as the first headlining act for the seventh Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans. Festival executive producer Steve Rehage says the Oct. 29-30 event will feature upward of 80 bands spread across seven stages. The full lineup will be announced June 24.
NINE INCH NAILS leader Trent Reznor owns a home and studio in the Big Easy, which has long made him a target of Voodoo organizers. "With Trent's history with New Orleans, we're looking for a big homecoming," Rehage says. "He's been to the festival for years, and we've always approached him about performing. We're very excited about it/.

According to Monsters and Critics, the soundtrack album to "The Devil's Rejects", the follow up to Rob Zombie's gritty, violent smash horror hit, "House of 1000 Corpses", will be released on June 28, 2005. Written and directed by Zombie, "The Devil's Rejects" reunites the homicidal members of the Firefly family, tracing their bloody flight from an outlaw sheriff hell-bent on revenge...
Deftly blending classic western violence with macabre humor and terrifying suspense, "The Devil's Rejects" is a shocking portrait of outlaw justice and the soundtrack album is as twisted and fascinating as the film itself — bringing together '70s rock classics, tracks from long-forgotten rocker TERRY REID, country and blues gems, and a rarity from BANJO & SULLIVAN, the country duo who disappeared following a grisly murder committed by killers depicted in the film. Lions Gate Films will release the film on July 22, 2005 nationwide.

SKINNY PUPPY DVD COMPLETED AND MORE

We just wrapped up production on the new DVD for SPV called The greater wrong of the right LIVE. Directed by Bill Morrison. It is a collaboration between XYZ films in Canada and SPV Germany. 2 disks include the complete live show with encores in 5.1 or Stereo. Extras include live footage from Too Dark Park, Last Rights and 2 documentarys. One documenting the 1988 European tour shot by the band. Sleeve design by Steven Gilmore and Fodor. The show was mixed by Ken Hiwatt Marshall who will also join the band live mixing the European dates of the 2005 Greater right of the wrong Euro tour starting in August. Dates will soon be announced for this but we can announce the confirmation of Mera-Luna in Germany.
The new SP team has also started production of a new LP for SPV.
In other Puppy news: Remember that German television show that aired some clips from the Doomsday performance? Well, the Crazy Clip Show is putting out a DVD compilation entitled Into the Darkness vol. 2 which will feature live video footage of Puppy's performance of Worlock. This clip previously appeared on a VCD along with the magazine Sonic Seducer. This looks to be the only Puppy material they've used. Much of the other footage included hails from some of the festivals that Puppy have played or, perhaps, will play. Keep in mind that this disc will be in PAL format.
Cage Unbound By Ghost Rider

Nicolas Cage, star of the upcoming Marvel Comics adaptation Ghost Rider, told SCI FI Wire that he hasn't had any trouble dealing with the visual-effects aspects of his character, who transforms into a demon with a flaming skull for a head. "I've always enjoyed working with effects," Cage said in an interview on the set in Melbourne, Australia. "To me, it's just stimulating to be around it, to participate. ... After the production is finished shooting here, I want to go to where they're working on the effects and say hello and see what they're doing with all the painting and how they're going to make the fire work, because fire is, you probably know, the most difficult of all the digital effects to pull off."
Cage plays Johnny Blaze, a motorcycle stunt rider who becomes the devil's bounty hunter after striking a Faustian bargain in his youth. Although the subject matter deals with serious themes, Cage said he has tried to inject some lighter moments into the film that weren't in the script. "We've managed to really put a great deal of humor [in it]," he said. "That came naturally to me. I think that heavy material is inherently—I know this is going to sound strange—but it can lend itself very easily to humor. Because I think people, when they're in heavy occupations, you look at paramedics or cops, they have the blackest humor. But it's a way of coping with the situation."
Cage, a longtime fan of the comic, said the character has always appealed to him because he stood out from typical comic-book heroes. "It was dealing with very complicated spiritual issues," Cage said. "And for a comic book, that, to me, seemed different than all the others. I have a line in the movie that we worked on where I say, 'I'm the only one that can walk in both worlds.' And Ghost Rider really is that, when you think about it. Spider-Man doesn't go into the supernatural or the spiritual world. Superman doesn't. Batman doesn't. But Ghost Rider really walks this dimension between two different worlds, and to me that is interesting." Ghost Rider is scheduled for release in August 2006.

Tabloid Show Claims JIM MORRISON Is Alive

Launch Radio Networks reports: No, it's not another rerun of the 1983 film "Eddie & the Cruisers" — there's a new report that says late DOORS frontman Jim Morrison is alive. Last night's (Friday, May 20) episode of the tabloid TV show "A Current Affair" had a story that Morrison is alive and well, and living in the Pacific Northwest. The show aired footage shot by a "cowboy filmmaker" named Gerald Pitts, who said, "In 1998, Jim Morrison had showed up at our rodeos, here in southern Oregon, and we discovered him living on a ranch, raising show-quality Arabian horses and paint horses. And I shot some footage of my friend...(and) Jim got in the motion picture film. One thing led to another."
Also featured on the show is Cherri Woods, who owns the building in Hollywood where Morrison lived before he moved to Paris. Woods, who gives tours of and rents out the property, also sells the Pitts film. She claims to have spoken to Morrison, and she told the show, "I was given Jim's telephone number and address and the alias that the FBI gave him that he's been living under. I have all of the information. Pages and pages of notes, of information I have verified that has shown me that (the video) in fact is Jim Morrison."
There's more "evidence" to the story, but you'll have to watch "A Current Affair" to see it. The show is syndicated, so check your local listings for the time and channel in your area.
It should be noted that there's been no comment from Morrison's bandmates on the story. Previously, keyboardist Ray Manzarek told Launch that he was sick and tired of all the sensationalizing, which comes at the expense of Morrison's true legacy: "Certainly we wouldn't want to — we wouldn't want to talk about the art of Jim Morrison or the poetry of Jim Morrison, would we?"

Formed by vocalist/guitarist Padraic Ogl (Patrick Ogle) and Sam Rosenthal (black tape for a blue girl) back in the mists of time Thanatos released it's first CD, "This Endless Night Inside" in 1993, with the follow up disc "An Embassy to Gaius" following two years later. Both were built around acoustic guitar and electronics. In 1995 the band went live with William Tucker (Foetus, Chris Connelly Band, Pigface and a host of others) on guitar and Eric Polcyn (Godbullies) on bass. An EP was released for the second tour, "The Neighbor of the Beast"...with both live and studio tracks (the drummer on the live tracks was Sam Fogarino). Later Vince Grech played drums at shows. In 1997 the band released it's last record "Blisters"...this mainly featured William Tucker and Ogl on vocals and was more guitar and sample oriented. In April 1998 the band played it's last show at Lounge Axe in Chicago. Some of those tracks appear here. In 2003 the band released a disc under the moniker Illegalteenagebkini and entitled "I Am Not Job." The first show in 7 years will be at 9 p.m. Sunday, May 29 at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago (details in events). There may be a few (very few) other shows. There will be acoustic shows unless I change my mind and don't do them.....

‘Family Business’ Earns Fourth Season

LOS ANGELES - The Showtime cable network has green-lighted a fourth season of the risqué reality series, “Family Business,” which is based on the family life and business dealings of Adam Glasser, aka Seymore Butts.
Several details about season four are being finalized, but Showtime likely will begin taping footage for new episodes this summer.
The finale of season three is scheduled to air next week. Previous episodes this season have covered the making of Seymore Butts Home Movies and Cousin Stevie’s Pussy Party series, and an open casting call for male talent.

No Bail for Bozo / Clown to get it for sexual abuse

Chicago- A Chicago man who worked as a clown at children's parties was convicted Thursday by a DuPage County judge of molesting a 4-year-old former La Grange Park girl in 2000.
Timothy Merten, 52, who performed as Mr. Toy, was convicted after a two-day bench trial before Judge Robert Anderson.
"The facts of this case aren't complicated," Anderson said. "Clearly something happened to this girl, and Tim Merten did it."
Merten was driving the girl and her adult baby-sitter, a friend of Merten's, on errands on July 7, 2000.
While the woman visited another friend in Downers Grove and left the child alone with Merten, touched her inappropriately in the back seat of his car, said Assistant State's Atty. Liam Brennan.
That day, the girl told her father of the incident, and he took her to La Grange Memorial Hospital. Hospital personnel called police.
The next day, Merten's confession to police was audiotaped.
The girl, who has moved to Michigan, testified on Wednesday, stating she couldn't recall Merten or the incident.
Anderson found Merten guilty of aggravated criminal sexual assault and predatory sexual exploitation of a child based on the testimony of the girl's father, the emergency room doctor and police, all of whom testified that the girl told them separately within 24 hours about the molestation.
Merten testified on his own behalf Thursday, saying that the girl lied about everything and that he confessed to appease police.
"I was told that making the statement would help the little girl get help quickly," Merten said.
Also, two other young girls testified Thursday that when they were about 4, Merten fondled them.
Anderson will sentence Merten June 27.
Brennan said Thursday that because Merten had served a prison sentence in Texas for sexually abusing a young girl, he faces 15 to 120 years in prison.

Charles Band Forms Wizard Entertainment

(HOLLYWOOD, CA)---Charles Band, whose 250 plus films as founder of independent film sci-fi/horror studio, Full Moon Pictures, established the company as one of the industry’s most prolific labels, has announced the formation of Wizard Entertainment, a new company for which he will produce and direct six films annually. The projects will premiere directly to home video and ancillary markets and each will feature a unique creature/doll to be released in a limited edition by Wizard Toys. These action figures have been designed to appeal to the legion of Charles Band and Full Moon fans who made the PUPPETMASTER series of action figures runaway best sellers.
Wizard Entertainment’s debut film is Decadent Evil, will be released on DVD June 28. It’s a twisted tale about a fallen foot tall Homunculus named Marvin (part human/part reptile) who is imprisoned in a birdcage by a vengeful lover who is bidding to become the world’s most powerful vampire. Decadent Evil stars Debra Mayer as the vampire, Morella, and Full Moon veteran, Phil Fondacaro as Marvin’s demented father and vampire hunter.
Wizard Toys will debut in July with its release of Decadent Evil’s lead character, Marvin The Horny Homunculus. The second film from Wizard, Doll Graveyard, which is set for release this summer, will feature four signature ancient evil dolls that come back to life.
Charles Band plans to launch one of his patented road shows this fall, promoting the new company. The tour with planned stops in twenty markets across the U.S., will allow Band to screen his new movies in theatre settings, meet fans and introduce special guests, “screen test” lucky contest winners and offer special merchandise from Wizard Toys to a select audience. At the height of Full Moon mania, Band’s appearances often drew in excess of a thousand fans and attracted widespread press, television and radio coverage.

GO ASK OGRE Jolene Siana was an alienated teenager from a depressed neighborhood of a dying Midwestern city. Her mother was single, alcoholic, and abusive. In this unstable environment, Jolene grew suicidal and became a cutter someone who cuts their skin to feel relief from emotional pain. Jolene found solace by obsessively drawing and painting, and immersing herself in dark and foreboding music that began to emerge in the late 80’s: industrial, goth, and post-punk indie rock. This love for music and making art, mixed with the feeling that no one understood her, led her to begin writing revealing personal letters to Kevin Ogilvie (a.k.a Ogre), the front man and vocalist of Skinny Puppy, a groundbreaking industrial band. Nivek Ogre seemed a kindred spirit to Jolene, and he soon began to receive a flood of elaborately illustrated letters, collages and journals filled with Jolene’s thoughts, dreams, and challenges, as well as the day-to-day minutiae of being a teenager in Toledo, Ohio. ROB ZOMBIE To Complete New Album After OZZFEST

ABC ePrep reports: ROB ZOMBIE says he's hoping to wrap up work on his next album after he finishes this summer's Ozzfest tour. He says he had originally wanted to finish the disk before the outing, but he simply doesn't have time.
Among the people who have played on the record so far are LIMP BIZKIT guitarist Wes Borland, MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee and A PERFECT CIRCLE drummer Josh Freese. Former MARILYN MANSON guitarist John 5, who just joined Zombie's touring band, will also contribute to the album.
Zombie will headline the second stage of this summer's Ozzfest, beginning on July 15 in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
Zombie's second movie as a director, "The Devil's Rejects", opens in theatres on July 22.

Writer David Goyer talks about possible sequels and says (spoilers ahead), "The next one would have Batman enlisting the aid of Gordon and [Harvey] Dent [aka Two-Face] in bringing down the Joker... but not killing him, which is a mistake they made in the first one." Confessions of a Pedo Priest

In a chillingly frank account, a former Roman Catholic priest, promoted 20 years ago by Roger M. Mahony, recently described his decades-long career as a pedophile, including his sexual tastes and how he groomed his young victims for abuse.
In a 15-hour videotaped deposition in March, Oliver O'Grady described how his heart raced when one of the slim, playful boys he preferred toweled off after a swim. He also said he liked to lift little girls' skirts and peek at their underpants. Asked to demonstrate how he would lure one of his estimated 25 victims into his arms, the 59-year-old Irish native softened his voice, flashed an avuncular smile and looked directly into the video camera.
"Hi, Sally," O'Grady improvised. "How are you doing? Come here. I want to give you a hug. You are a sweetheart. You know that. You are very special to me. I like you a lot."
If his hug met no resistance, O'Grady testified, he would take the child's compliance as "permission" to molest.
The deposition came in connection with lawsuits filed against the Stockton Diocese over alleged abuse by clergy. Mahony, who was bishop of Stockton from 1980 to 1985 before heading the Los Angeles Archdiocese, inherited O'Grady, who had admitted years earlier to molesting an 11-year-old girl. In 1984, police investigated a therapist's report that O'Grady had molested a boy.
After police declined to file charges, Mahony transferred O'Grady to a rural parish and later promoted him to pastor there, where he allegedly molested three more victims, including a baby girl who suffered vaginal scarring, according to plaintiffs' lawyers. Mahony has said he was unaware of any molestation reports. The additional victims were molested after he left the diocese.
"The cardinal acted on the information he had, just as the police investigator did," church attorney Don Woods said.
Costa Mesa-based plaintiffs' attorney John C. Manly conducted the deposition in Ireland. The now-defrocked priest, an Irish citizen and native of Limerick, was deported from the U.S. in 2001, after serving seven years in California state prison for sexually abusing two brothers. He lives in Thurles, Ireland.
A transcript of the deposition was filed Tuesday in Alameda County Superior Court, where the Stockton Diocese is defending four lawsuits alleging that the church failed to protect parishioners from abuse. Manly filed the transcript in opposing a church motion to dismiss one of the suits.
O'Grady, on the video, asked why church officials did not remove him from ministry after he committed the molestations.
"I think it probably would have been best if, back in 1984, they said, 'Look, we need to put a halt to this. We need to take you out,' " O'Grady told lawyers during the questioning. "But even the 1984 situation, as I understand it, was handled as best it could have been handled at the time."
Woods said Tuesday that O'Grady "was not trying to say what should have been done. He's saying I wish it could have been done differently.
"It's a lament from hindsight," he said.
An attorney for the Stockton Diocese, Paul Balestracci, declined to comment, noting the open lawsuits over O'Grady's misconduct.
O'Grady's deposition offers a far-reaching, and often disturbing, glimpse into the mind of a convicted pedophile. Still, there were times during the marathon question-and-answer session when he was less than candid.
He refused to name any of his 25 victims, invoking his 5th Amendment right against self-incrimination. He at first denied molesting one little girl, then the next day admitted that he had lied and that he had abused her. He said his abuse ended in the mid-1980s, but in his criminal case he had pleaded guilty to molestations as late as 1991.
Although O'Grady voiced remorse for his abuses, he often appeared to be enjoying his videotaped performance. At one point, he winked into the camera.
O'Grady testified that he was molested as a child by two priests in the sacristy of his church. The first occurred when he was 10 and an altar boy, he said.
The priest "began the conversation by asking how I was, what I was going to do for the day, and I remember he was — he called me over to him and he began to hug me, you know, in a kind of gentle way, first of all.
"Then he turned me around … which means I had my back to him with him standing behind me, and then the hands would come down and hug me here and then went lower."
When he was growing up, he testified, he was involved in molestation within his family, both as perpetrator and victim. And when he was a teenager, he added, a priest touched him sexually. "It was not a very pleasant experience on some occasions, but it was a very normal thing. Nobody talked about it," he said. "I did not consider it a very serious criminal matter."
O'Grady testified that his own sexual attraction to children began before he was ordained a priest in 1971.
"The only thing I understood religion to say at the time was that anything … to do with sexuality was sinful, and that is where a lot of my conflict came," he testified.
His first assignment as a priest was to the Stockton Diocese in 1971. Five years later, O'Grady testified in an earlier deposition, he fondled an 11-year-old girl he had met at a summer camp and invited to sleep over at the rectory.
"I remember going into her bed, and I tried to caress her and fondle her, and I sensed her objections to that, nonverbally, and I stayed for a little while more and then decided not to continue. So I left and went back to my own bed," he told lawyers during the March deposition, estimating that he had spent no more than 20 minutes in the girl's bed.
The girl's parents complained to then-Bishop Merlin Guilfoyle, who preceded Mahony in Stockton. O'Grady testified that the bishop, who is now deceased, confronted him and he confessed.
O'Grady wrote the family a letter of apology, angering Guilfoyle, O'Grady said. The letter was in O'Grady's personnel file when Mahony assumed the bishopric, according to court records.
O'Grady said he suffered no repercussions for his transgression.
"Life just continued," he testified.
Court records show that in 1984, four years after Mahony became bishop of Stockton, O'Grady told his therapist he had fondled a 9-year-old boy. The therapist alerted child welfare officials, and police opened an investigation.
O'Grady took the 5th Amendment when asked during the deposition what he told his therapist. But he testified that Mahony was out of town at the time, so he told the bishop's second-in-command about the investigation. He said the official sent him to talk to the diocese's lawyer.
The child, who had been asleep during the alleged molestation, said he was unaware of any abuse, and police declined to file charges. Court records show, however, that police said an attorney for the diocese promised that O'Grady would be transferred to a job where he would not have contact with children, and that he would be sent to therapy.
O'Grady testified that Mahony sent him to a psychiatrist for an evaluation, which the cardinal has acknowledged was the church's standard operating procedure at the time for handling pedophile priests. Almost immediately thereafter, O'Grady said, Mahony transferred him to a parish in San Andreas, about an hour outside Stockton. Mahony later promoted him to pastor.
There was no school at his new assignment, but O'Grady testified that he supervised hundreds of students who came in on weekends and after school to study Catechism.
Mahony has testified in court that he never saw the letter of apology O'Grady wrote to his female victim's family. He also said that he did not know the details of what O'Grady had told his therapist and that once police declined to file charges in connection with the 9-year-old boy, he saw no reason to investigate further.
O'Grady "was in counseling at the time," Woods said, "and the second opinion that the diocese obtained said the counseling was satisfactory and he should continue with it.
The second opinion did not recommend that he be removed from ministry, nor did the [evaluation] render any diagnosis of pedophilia."
After years of therapy, O'Grady said, he's embarrassed and ashamed of his sexual attraction to children.
But asked to describe his "type," he gave an animated response. "Generally, a boy who was — spontaneous, affectionate, playful, generally around the age of 10, 11, and who seemed to maybe need somebody to care for him. I'm not saying that he necessarily had family problems but seemed to identify with me as somebody who he could trust, who he could come to, who was willing to take care of him."
The priest searched his congregation for submissive children. "If they demonstrated affection, by hugging and that sort of stuff, it sort of awakened within me urges to be affectionate in return," O'Grady testified. "If I got comfortable doing that and felt he was comfortable with me hugging him, and I had thoughts or feelings that I wanted to go further, I might at that time explore that possibility," he said.
"I might have to do a little planning … to be sure that the boy was there, to be sure the boy was alone, and that there was not any hurry on him leaving."
O'Grady testified that he had sexual relationships with two mothers of children he molested. He also said he occasionally wore women's lingerie he found among donated clothes left at his church.
"Perhaps I was trying to use external things to arouse myself," he said.
A Stockton jury in 1998 awarded one of O'Grady's victims $30 million, later reduced to $7 million. Jury members told The Times they thought Mahony was untruthful on the witness stand, that he had allowed O'Grady's pattern of abuse to continue.
Mahony said he thought the jurors were wrong and that he took extraordinary steps to protect children.
Over the years, O'Grady said, he tried to understand and possibly curb his appetite for children — reading books about his disorder, touring a residential treatment center for pedophile priests and eventually opening his parish to secret Sex Addicts Anonymous meetings so he could attend.
After O'Grady was released from prison and returned to Ireland, the Stockton diocese paid for him to undergo three years of outpatient therapy, he said, and also agreed to pay him $800 a month for 10 years starting on his 65th birthday.
"I would have liked somebody in the diocese or somebody to have intervened as early as possible in helping me confront this situation as a very, very serious one," he said, "and help to educate me to the very serious nature of the problem that I had and was causing."
Each time he reached into a child's pants, O'Grady said, he knew his conduct was wrong, "definitely a sin." But there was "another part of me saying, 'I can't seem to control these desires, thoughts, feelings when they come.' "
After a molestation, O'Grady testified, he always went to a priest and confessed his sin.

Two Guitars were stolen from Hartsfield Jackson International Airport
They are both electric and both Black - one a Black SG 2001 with a black strap with 'NASHVILLE' printed on it. The neck pickup has been removed and there is only one knob remaining - the volume knob - the rest have been removed.
The Black Plastic Hard case alaso contained Ernie Ball Stings, many Nashville Pussy picks with the name "RUYTER' on them, String Winder, String Clippers and personal effects a photo of a nine year old girl wearing a NP shirt and a picture of Heidi Fleiss with a hot chick wearing a NP t shirt.
When stolen the guitar only had one string on it- the thickest, E string.
The other guitar is a 84 Black Hollowbody E - 335. Its Black strap is attached by a Heiniken bottlecap.
Effects in the case included a photo of Chuck Berry and an Autograph of Chuck Berry, Guitar Strings, a mini Smokey amplifier, Guitar cord and many Dunlop as well as a bunch of Nashville Pussy Picks.
Anyone knowing anything about the wherabouts of these guitars is encouraged to please contact the band or band management. These guitars are dear to the band and worth more to us than anyone else.
The cases themselves had a few stickers on them like BRAVES, SERIOUS, POULET BICYCLETTE, Both Cases are guitar shaped.

Jolene Siana was an alienated teenager from a depressed neighborhood of a dying Midwestern city. Her mother was single, alcoholic, and abusive. In this unstable environment, Jolene grew suicidal and became a cutter someone who cuts their skin to feel relief from emotional pain.
Jolene found solace by obsessively drawing and painting, and immersing herself in dark and foreboding music that began to emerge in the late 80’s: industrial, goth, and post-punk indie rock. This love for music and making art, mixed with the feeling that no one understood her, led her to begin writing revealing personal letters to Kevin Ogilvie (a.k.a Ogre), the front man and vocalist of Skinny Puppy, a groundbreaking industrial band. Nivek Ogre seemed a kindred spirit to Jolene, and he soon began to receive a flood of elaborately illustrated letters, collages and journals filled with Jolene’s thoughts, dreams, and challenges, as well as the day-to-day minutiae of being a teenager in Toledo, Ohio. Shortly after Jolene started writing to Ogre, a reply arrived from him by mail. Ogre’s interest led him to meet Jolene in person. He encouraged her writing and said that he had saved all of her letters, and one day, he would return them all. Over the next three years, Jolene evolved from being an extremely troubled high school senior into a college student who flirted with disaster by way of drugs and abusive relationships, into a young woman who had begun to discover a sense of her own worth. Nine years after Jolene sent her last letter, a large box arrived at Jolene’s door. Ogre’s promise was fulfilled. After sifting through 73 letters, 14 postcards, and five notebooks, Jolene found herself with an unintentional memoir. Go Ask Ogre is a fascinating collection of letters and artwork in an intense, intimate peek into the real-life world of a misfit, who, through the power of self-expression, found her own way out of the dysfunctional world around her. Recently my Axe bass was stolen from The New Jersey area. This particular bass is unique because I built it myself, from the ground up.
It looks exactly like The Gene Simmons Axe Bass, with just a couple of unique features. The blade is somewhat rounder on my bass and there is only one master volume knob, whereas the Gene Simmons Axe has two.
