Warner Home Video's Batman Begins shot to first place on both the preliminary national sales and rental charts. It ranks as the top-selling DVD so far this fourth quarter, with nearly 4 million copies sold in the week ended October 23.
"George A. Romero's Land of the Dead" from Universal finished a distant second on VideoScan's First Alert chart.
On trade publication Home Media Retailing's rental chart, Batman Begins also scored an easy victory, generating an estimated $11.36 million in rental revenue for the week.
Empire Online got an update from Batman Begins director Christopher Nolan about how his meeting went with Warner Bros. Pictures about the sequel:
Jeff Robinov at Warners was quoted as saying that you tell him what the sequel is going to be. Is that the case?
Well, he's very polite to put it that way! I have marched into his office and I have told him what David Goyer and I think the story is, and they seem to like it a lot. I think the success of Batman Begins, in my terms, in it being a film that I wanted it to be, is very much due to a collaboration with the studio. It wasn't really one or the other telling the other what it should be, so I think he's poking fun
Sounds like great news. Nolan will first direct "The Prestige," starring Batman himself, Christian Bale, and Wolverine, Hugh Jackman.

No wonder Fashion Bomb believe they can actually get a break!
This is something terribly upsetting to someone wh has based his career around the music industry for 20 plus years. The world knows she ws busted lyp synching on "live" TV, and she walked off in shame. SNL had her back and now so has America so it seems. WHAT'S WRONG WITH PEOPLE??? IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT MUSIC ! Not something sugar coated singing over a producers track with lyrics and music she didn't create.
Sometimes, art does imitate life: Take this week's album chart, which finds Rod Stewart chasing after a younger blonde woman--Ashlee Simpson.
Jessica's lip-synching sibling managed to hold off the advances of Stewart's latest for-the-fogies compilation of standards, Thanks For the Memory...The Great American Songbook: Volume IV--along with buzzed-about new releases from Martina McBride, Stevie Wonder, Bun-B and Depeche Mode--to notch her second straight chart-topper.
Simpson's I Am Me sold 220,000 copies for the week ended Sunday, while Stewart's Songbook moved 193,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan tracking. It's the sixth week in a row that a new album has debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.
Still trying to live down her SNL debacle from last year, the younger Simpson reappeared on the NBC late-night show to prove she can sing without the help of prerecorded vocals. She followed that up with a relentless promotional schedule that included pit stops on TRL, Ellen, Good Morning America, Live with Regis & Kelly and The Tonight Show. Her lead single, "Boyfriend," is in heavy rotation on both the radio and video charts.
Still, her Milli Vanilli moment has apparently cost her fans. I Am Me sales were well below that of her debut album, Autobigraphy, which opened with 398,000 in sales last year. In any case, she still holds family bragging rights--sister Jessica has yet to top the album charts.
And while Stewart couldn't top Simpson, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's fourth and--he swears!--final collection of reworked classics continues to exceed all expectations. In just three years, the four volumes have sold a combined 13 million copies and have given the singer his first number one album this side of the Carter administration. And last year's third volume, Stardust, which reentered the charts this week at 119, earned him the first Grammy trophy of his decades-long career.
Country chanteuse McBride rode in at number three spot as her latest, Timeless, sold 186,000 discs. The self-produced album, which is atop Billboard's country chart, features McBride's reworking of classics by the likes of Hank Williams, Buck Owens and Loretta Lynn.
Speaking of classic artists, Wonder's first studio album in a decade, A Time to Love, sold nearly 121,000 copies at number five. The iconic artist, who has sold more than 100 million career copies, last released a studio album in 1995 with Conversation Peace.
Rounding out the Top 10 bows this week, UGK rapper Bun-B sold 117,000 copies of his solo effort Trill to open at six, while the comeback-minded Depeche Mode's Playing the Angel moved 99,000 copies at seven. The band's cut "Precious" also took over the top of the singles chart.
Country singer Billy Currington just missed the Top 10, with his latest, Doin' Something opening at 11 with 54,000 copies. O.C. punk faves Thrice also made a solid showing at 15 with Vheissu, while the jazzy Chris Botti followed at 18 with To Love Again.
Another country artist, Tracy Lawrence, opened at 35 with his Then & Now collection, while Bad Boy Entertainment rapper Black Rob debuted at 40 with the Black Rob Report.
Other notable releases included Bryan Adam's Anthology at 65, Mest's Photographs at 116, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland soundtrack at 148, the soundtrack to Showtime's Masters of Horror at 161 and Wu-Tang Meets Indie Culture's Think Differently at 190.
Here's a recap of the top-selling albums for the week ended Sunday:
1. I Am Me, Ashlee Simpson
2. Thanks for the Memory...The Great American Songbook: Volume IV, Rod Stewart
3. Timeless, Martina McBride
4. All the Right Reasons, Nickelback
5. A Time to Love, Stevie Wonder
6. Thrill, Bun-B
7. Playing the Angel, Depeche Mode
8. Monkey Business, Black Eyed Peas
9. Unplugged, Alicia Keys
10. Late Registration, Kanye West

CHICAGO – The brashly eclectic rock Chicago band $UPERMER¢ADO will release
its debut, “Scary Baby,” on Dark Star Records this fall.
The band will hold a record release party at Logan Square Auditorium in Chicago
on November 6, followed by an in-store performance and signing at Tower Records
on November 15 in Bloomingdale, Ill.
“We are proud of the CD and can’t wait for people to be able to finally get
the music on a disc,” said vocalist Matt Mercado. “The record release show
at the Logan Square Auditorium will be great not only because we have never
played that stage, but also because we will showcase the entire album, plus
more, LIVE on stage.”
Led by the proverbial $UPERMER¢ADO mastermind Matt Mercado, the core of the
band has played together for years through the course of a couple bands –
Pivotman and Erotic Universe - hitting its stride with $UPERMER¢ADO’s
convictive blend of melodic rock, soul vocals, precision guitar metal, and low
gut-crunch groove.
Prior to those bands, Mercado led the early ‘90s with Chicago band Mindbomb,
which scored a seven-figure deal with Mercury Records and toured the US and
Europe with legends such as KISS and Rob Halford. Mindbomb was also featured
in many major motion picture soundtracks, including the classics “Cliff
Hanger” starring Sylvester Stallone, and “Kalifornia” starring Brad Pitt.
Mindbomb disbanded in the late ‘90s.
“$UPERMER¢ADO is close to all my roots, Mind Bomb and Pivotman, but it’s
more diverse in that we use several genres of music to pull from,” said
Mercado. “Pivotman stayed on a techno metal course, while Mindbomb was just
simply ahead of its time. There is a shorter bridge between Mindbomb and
$UPERMER¢ADO than Pivotman.”
$UPERMER¢ADO features the lineup of singer/guitarist Matt Mercado, drummer
Gregg Potter, bassist John Skender, guitarist Michael Ray Garrett, and
rapper/soul singer Cliff “Killa Kat” Hunt. Potter, a one man drumming
extravaganza who has also had experience in the major label world, and Skender,
a rock veteran with intricate bass licks and solid grooves, have played with
Mercado since 1998. Garrett, a working man’s shredder and G.I.T.,
in-your-face fret master, and Hunt, a soulful-voiced singer with an urban
street feel, are the newest recruits, completing the band’s diverse sound.
Live dates:
11/06/05 Sun. Logan Square Auditorium, Chicago, IL
11/18/05 Fri. Tower Records, Bloomingdale, IL

New installment a kinder, gentler sequel to swashbuckling 1998 hit.
"Looks like I'll be waiting for the DVD release godammit!" - AZ
The mask looks familiar. So does the charismatic leading man, the beautiful damsel opposite him, and the trademark Z being swish!-swish!-swished! into the bad guy's posterior. To make "The Legend of Zorro," however, Antonio Banderas and Catherine
Zeta-Jones had to do much more than simply sharpen their swords.
"A lot has happened, both personally and professionally," Zeta-Jones acknowledged, referring to her Academy Award, marriage to Michael Douglas, A-list industry status and everything else that has made her a very different woman from the virtual unknown cast as eye candy in "The Mask of Zorro," one of 1998's highest-grossing successes. "Obviously, as we grow and the years go by and we get more life experience, you hope you would be able to put those experiences and emotions into your work. So I hope I have grown as an actress. And I feel by doing movies like 'Traffic,' 'Chicago' and the other movies I've done, that I have."
Banderas, meanwhile, has gone from smoldering leading man to "kid-friendly guy," starring in the "Spy Kids" trilogy and stealing "Shrek 2" as the voice of the Zorro-like Puss in Boots. "They don't have anything to do with each other, except that they carry a cape," Banderas laughed. "There was a certain mockery in Puss in Boots, but Puss in Boots is a totally different type of person. He's more dangerous than Zorro," he added with a disarming grin.
Banderas' new cred with the SpongeBob set suggests why "Legend" is considerably more kid-friendly than "The Mask of Zorro." Set several years after the previous adventure, the movie opens with Alejandro (Banderas) and Elena (Zeta-Jones) now married and enjoying life with their 10-year-old son, Joaquin (Adrian Alonso). Putting the "fun" in dysfunctional, Dad runs off into the night to fight bad guys, Mom puts pressure on her husband to hang up the cape and Junior reflects his lineage by engaging his teacher in swashbuckling schoolroom ruler battles.
"There's just as much fighting," Rufus Sewell, who plays evil French aristocrat Armand in the film, assured fans. The difference, he explained, lies in "whether you're going to dispatch someone by cutting their throat or by bonking them on the head. There might be a little bit more head-bonking now."
For Banderas, the chance to bring Zorro to a younger audience was reason enough to return for the sequel. The first masked hero in modern American fiction, Zorro inspired the young Banderas, too. "I was a kid like many thousands — millions — of kids in the world who saw the [1950s] TV series starring Guy Williams. I used to sword-fight with my little brother on the terrace of our house in Malaga, with plastic swords."
Introduced in a 1919 novel, Zorro has long inspired those who hope to grow up to be similar suave defenders of the common man. Banderas insisted the character is like James Bond or Superman, only more realistic. "He's more human than those guys," he reasoned. "[Zorro] doesn't have supernatural powers, though he is very flamboyant in his performances, especially when he's providing justice to people, just jumping around like a Cirque du Soleil act.
"But at the same time he's more elegant," Banderas continued. "You've got a sly thing going with him that I like. He's imperfect, a little bit clumsy, and jealous and drunk. All of that humanizes the character and makes him very approachable. Everybody in the audience can recognize a little bit of themselves in him; and then everybody roots for you to be the guy he's supposed to be. That's the part of the movie I enjoy the most, all the comedy."
With the family element, Banderas' Zorro becomes more of a Mr. Incredible-type character trying to live up to his legend without ignoring his parental duties. And instead of simply running around in busty period costumes, Zeta-Jones was written as an Elastigirl-like wife. She may not always be happy with her husband, but she can help him throw down whenever necessary.
"I was happy I wasn't left on the balcony waiting for Zorro to come home," Zeta-Jones grinned. "I was inspired by the fact that I wasn't standing behind Zorro but rather standing right next to him."
And just in case Sewell really does turn out to be the leader of a super-secret organization with plans for world domination, like his character in the movie, the stars report that, after two Zorro adventures, their real-life action-hero skills are almost equal to those onscreen.
"I can do the horse and the sword, it's all me in the movie," Banderas said proudly. "I feel very comfortable with horses. The sword thing is tough because you have to train a lot. It's just repetition after repetition after repetition."
"I'm pretty good as long as my sword was handy," Zeta-Jones laughed. "The punching was hard for me because I punch like a girl. I had to learn to look as if I'm physically really whacking the stunt man. But if a scrap broke out, I think you'd be pretty impressed by my skills."

With the release of his new sex tape, and his subsequent parole from rehab, Tom "Scagnetti" Sizemore has begun a tireless promotional whirlwind to push sales of the lurid viewing material that centers around having Vivid put out "word on da streetz" that he was once in flagrante delicto with none other than Paris Hilton, the twat de jour to the stars. The press release for the sex tape boasts that Sizemore hits skins with up to four smoking hot fuck dolls at a time, and largely insinuates that his stamina defiantly questions the manhood and virility of lesser known "self-proclaimed" sex gods like Sting and Gene Simmons.
In response to these allegations, Paris Hilton quickly took the cock out of her mouth, hung up her cell phone, and denied having ever met Sizemore, suggesting that he was simply using her name like other men use her vagina, to get attention.
Vivid has since sent shock waves through the mainstream industry with pictures of Paris Hilton with porn's newest celebrity male porn star, getting chummy pre-coitus. At the time of this preposterous posting, no reply had been issued from the Hilton's revising her previous statement, and there is no reason to believe there ever will be.

You see people, pictures speak louder than words, because the proof is in the pudding, and really, no one cares at this point who Paris is or isn't fucking because they are too busy being shocked that Jennifer Aniston kissed Vince Vaughn in an airport. With one well timed press release showing them cavorting like sex crazed bunnies Vivid effectively put the proverbial 'kibosh' on Miss Hilton's attempts to impugn the character of a man who once dated the greatest Madam of our generation, Heidi Fleiss, before giving her the most ruthless beating of her life.

We'll be back Tuesday. Thanks for dropping in.

One thing everyone who visits Sedona agrees on is the tremendous energy of the area and the extraordinary effects it has on people. Many report feelings of euphoria or contentment, and a common result is that most seem to need less sleep, food and liquids during their stay. Increased physical stamina was another experience, and some even found that the energy sometimes seemed to transfer into inanimate objects, especially metallic of the variety. Those who live in Sedona eventually seem to attune to the energy so that they are able to "normalize" their behavior.
These are just some of the many reactions to the energy of Sedona and the vortex areas.

Los Angeles, CA (October 10, 2005): For years, women in the sex industry were little more than the eye candy used by the adult entertainment industry to sell men movies, magazines, and other sex products. But the times, they’ve been a-changing. Marking a first in the publishing world, Naked Ambition (Carroll & Graf, $14.95) gives voice to the new generation of women shaping not only what sexual material we consume, but how we think and talk about sex.
“The whole concept of the book is to demystify the myth that women don’t watch or enjoy sexually-oriented material. They’re not just watching and enjoying it, they’re selling, making and writing about it, too,” says editor Carly Milne. “Porn has long been a provocative social force that many have espoused as being dangerous and degrading to women, but thirty-one women have contributed stories saying otherwise in my book.”
Those thirty-one contributors share their personal histories, thoughts, and passions to underscore the profound influence that porn has had in liberating a newer, younger generation of women by claiming their sexual lives on their own terms. For the first time ever, featured writers include porn star Nina Hartley, Theresa Flynt of the Hustler empire, porn star turned writer and director Stormy Daniels, Village Voice sex columnist Tristan Taormino, porn star Tera Patrick, author Violet Blue, webmistress Joanna Angel, internet entrepreneur Danni Ashe, web curator Hester Nash, Variety’s Dana Harris, Wired’s Regina Lynn and Stuff Magazine’s Laura Leu, among many others.
“It’s really hard for me to pick a story that’s my favorite,” Milne says. “Some of the most provocative tales come from women who are nowhere near the camera’s eye, such as Lainie Speiser, the publicist for Penthouse, Joy King, who has worked behind the scenes in the industry for 18 years and is now a higher up at Wicked Pictures, or Holly Randall, who is following in her mother’s footsteps by becoming an erotic photographer for some of the top men’s magazines in the world. That’s not to say that those directly working in the industry don’t have amazing stories, however. Mason, a director, tells a tremendous tale discussing her decision to make porn over finishing her law degree, and Jewel De’Nyle writes her transition from performer to company owner as her father, a former politician, gets defamed by his co-workers and the FBI because of what his daughter does for a living. It’s quite a provocative story.”
Speaking of provocative, was there any kind of casting couch process used to determine the contributors?
“Though I’ve seen some of them in their birthday suits, no, none of them went there with me,” laughs Milne. “Seriously, though – I know each of these women and the work that they do courtesy of the time I spent in porn as a publicist so that I could do a book on the subject that showed a different side to the industry. And this is that book.”

MTV.com is reporting that a source close to the "Rock Star" TV show has claimed that the core VAN HALEN trio — brothers Alex and Eddie Van Halen and bassist Michael Anthony — will be auditioning potential frontmen and women for the show's still-hypothetical second season. The winner would be stepping into the shoes previously worn by David Lee Roth, Sammy Hagar, and (briefly) former EXTREME singer Gary Cherone.
The news follows weeks of rumors concerning potential "Rock Star" second-season bands, with VAN HALEN and even ALICE IN CHAINS being the popular frontrunners. Earlier this week, a spokesperson for ALICE IN CHAINS guitarist Jerry Cantrell scoffed at the notion that the band would even consider appearing on the show.
On Tuesday (Oct. 18), "Rock Star: INXS" co-host and former JANE'S ADDICTION guitarist Dave Navarro declined to discuss the show's future or confirm whether he's been approached to reprise his role for a second season. However, he did say, "VAN HALEN would be awesome — I'd just love to sit and hang with Ed."

HOLLYWOOD, CA – Some say that birds of a feather flock together but in the case of
Sex Z Pictures’ latest alternative porn movie ‘The Decline of Western Civilization Part
69: The Porno Years’, what’s good for the goose seems to be good for the gander.
The first time director Kurt Lockwood wrapped shooting on his very ambitious
alternative style porn movie that combines aggressive rock ‘n roll music, a wild
superstar or bust mentality and enough sex, partying and rock ‘n roll to last a
lifetime.
The resulting footage is spectacular, but pointless if the movie isn’t edited in the
vision expressed by the director.
Enter Eon McKai, porn’s resident leader of the alt-porn movement whose impressive
resume sparkles with some of VCA Pictures’ most successful titles such as ‘Kill Girl
Kill’, ‘Art School Sluts’ and the yet to be released modern version of ‘Neu Wave
Hookers’.
“I needed an editor that thought like a director and I was lucky enough to have
worked as talent for Eon when he directed Kill Girl Kill, Neu Wave Hookers and just
about all of his titles and the topic came up and things just clicked.”
Never at a loss for words, McKai expressed some positive opinions on Lockwood
and said, “Kurt has a punk rock background that really came out in Kill Girl Kill. He
was really active in the hardcore punk and rock scene back east so it was pretty easy
for us to look down a similar path and see the same things. The fact that he’s really
great with the girls is a huge plus. I’m also a big fan of the Decline movies so it was
totally cool to help him out on this one and be a part of this for Sex Z Pictures.”
Sex Z Pictures primarily known for their all-sex gonzo movies and their attractive
feature presentations made this movie knowing that they were breaking company
boundaries.
“When I first talked with Kurt, I knew that this would be an adventure for all of us
because I knew that he could bring great things to the table. Anytime you combine
sex, live club music and a wild lifestyle, you get something special and we can’t wait
to put this movie out at the Vegas show,” stated Sex Z Pictures’ maverick owner Bo
Kenney.
For his part Lockwood is excited to be working once again with McKai albeit in a
different dynamic and said, “I’m really happy to have Eon who is considered a leader
of this alt-porn movement working on this project with me. He shares my love,
respect and admiration for the original LA punk ‘Decline of Western Civilization’
movies and he totally gets what I’m expressing.”
It’s not everyday that a movie editor gets such high praise before a movie is
released, but in this case McKai’s talents are directly connected to the overall
success of this project for Lockwood and Sex Z Pictures.
“This movie needs love and can’t just be slapped together,” Lockwood preaches.
Look for ‘The Decline of Western Civilization Part 69: The Porno Years’ in stores in

also had sex with Paris Hilton
--PR Newswire
LOS ANGELES--After Wednesday, October 19th, tough guy actor Tom Sizemore, who won praise for his roles in such movies as Saving Private Ryan, Natural Born Killers and Black Hawk Down, may be better known as the star of "The Tom Sizemore Sex Scandal" DVD and a single night of passion with Paris Hilton.
Vivid Entertainment, the leading adult film studio, is releasing a DVD comprising over 70 minutes of uncut and uncensored video of Sizemore having inexhaustible sex with up to four young women at a time.
Vivid has added a candid audio interview in which Sizemore talks about his early admiration for his ex-girlfriend former "Hollywood Madam" Heidi Fleiss and a night of raw sex with Paris Hilton in 2001.
Of Fleiss he says: " She captured my imagination; she comported herself with great dignity and earned $20-million in the sex business by the age of 27. Come on; that girl has talent."
He also claims that a few years ago he had a party at his house and that after the guests left, he heard the repeated clicks of a cigarette lighter. Following the sounds he discovered Hilton by herself in his gym. He says she walked over to him and suggested quite explicitly that they have sex together. "She knew what she could do to people," says Sizemore. After a sex-filled night, Sizemore says, Hilton abruptly left in the morning, climbing into a long limousine with the parting words: "Goin' to Sundance. See you next week." He does not relate whether they got together again.
Sizemore reveals that he has been suffering from massive depression and fighting legal proceedings. In 2004 he was tried and convicted of battering and making harassing calls to Fleiss. He was also found guilty of being under the influence and in possession of crystal methamphetamine, which he claims he was taking to relieve his depression. He was ordered to an inpatient drug rehab clinic in Los Angeles County. On Monday, October 17th, the court put him on probation for three years.
Sizemore is a self-proclaimed sex addict who says he has a condition known as priapism, which causes an involuntary prolonged erection that allows him to perform intercourse for unusually long periods of time.

Kiss Kollector Online has posted the following recap of original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley's at the third annual Sober Teens Festival on Sunday (Oct. 16) at Carmel High School in Carmel, New York:
"[On Sunday], Ace Frehley visited the annual Sober Teens Festival at Carmel High School in Carmel, NY, to co-sign contracts of teenagers who signed a contract to remain sober until they’re 21 years old. Obviously, Ace's appearance attracted some KISS fans. A handful of fans showed up to meet Ace, and got a few items signed by the original Spaceman. The contract signing took place at the Celebrity Stage from 1 – 4:30 p.m., with Ace showing up around 2 p.m. Ace and bodyguard arrived in a limo at the back of the school, and once Ace got out of the car he signed a dozen items before heading for the Celebrity Stage. When Ace was done co-signing the teenagers' contracts, he casually walked out of the school to be picked up by the limo again. Before he drove off, he signed some more KISS items for the few fans present."
Early last year, Kiss Kollector Online reported that the former KISS axe slinger had seriously started focusing on getting and staying clean and sober again — and that he had already stayed away from the party scene at that point for over half a year. Frehley has now reportedly managed to stay sober for about two years and has kept a low profile for all that time. He only popped up once in a while here and there — including jamming with PEARL JAM very recently.

Lydia Criss, former wife of original KISS drummer Peter Criss, has launched her official web site at www.lydiacriss.com, The site, where you will be able to purchase a deluxe hardcover edition of her forthcoming KISS book "Sealed With A Kiss", features never-before-seen photos, a bio on Lydia and Kiss Kollector's exclusive interview with Lydia, conducted after she did a very successful auction of her private KISS collection through online auction firm Backstage Auctions (the entire interview — along with several never before published photos — appeared in the February 2005 issue of Kiss Kollector magazine, while a sneak preview of the interview appeared on Kiss Kollector Online in December of 2004).
Lydia's book will contain over 1,500 rare and previously unpublished photos, memorabilia and memories from the early days of KISS.

blowing cash on alcohol and strippers
--Boston Herald
BOURNE, Massachusetts – Hurricane Katrina evacuees hastily handed $2,000 in federal relief money last month have been living it up on Cape Cod, blowing cash on booze and strippers, a Herald investigation has found. Herald reporters witnessed blatant public drinking at a Falmouth strip mall by Katrina victims living at taxpayer expense at Camp Edwards on Otis Air Force Base. And strippers at Zachary's nightclub in Mashpee, a few miles from the Bourne base, report giving lap dances to several evacuees.
"They were tipping me $5 a pop,'' said a Zachary's dancer named Angel. "I told them I felt bad taking their money. But I still took it.'' Another dancer said a large group from the military base was in Zachary's recently and she gave lap dances to several of the victims. "Some spend good money, but others don't,'' she said. An assistant club manager, who gave his name only as Michael, acknowledged yesterday that the strip joint is popular with people from Camp Edwards. "It's no different for someone who lives at Camp Edwards or is stationed at Camp Edwards. As long as they have the proper ID they can go in,'' he said. On Oct. 5, the Herald observed a virtual parade of evacuees from a bus stop in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Falmouth to nearby liquor stores. Some emerged and openly swilled from brown-bagged containers, while others poured booze into jugs or plastic cups and casually sipped drinks at the Wal-Mart bus stop. The refugees have access to daily trolley service from Camp Edwards to the Falmouth Mall. One elderly man poured a bottle of Ruble vodka into a water bottle and spent the afternoon sipping the liquor outside the Wal-Mart. Two other men were seen buying 32-ounce Coors Light cans at George's Liquors and drinking at the bus stop. Last Tuesday, one 52-year-old evacuee, who told a reporter he was originally from Cuba, stood in the rain outside Wal-Mart for several hours drinking gin and orange juice from a thermos. The same day, a female evacuee bought ice at a supermarket and roughly $30 worth of hard liquor before being driven in a car back to Camp Edwards. Evacuees are banned from bringing booze onto the base.
One Camp Edwards source said evacuees swiped liquor off shelves at the U.S. Coast Guard store on the base and drank it in the aisles. The Federal Emergency Management Agency has issued more than $1.5 billion to 607,000 Katrina victims in the form of individual cash handouts of $2,000. There are no restrictions on how the money can be spent, FEMA officials said. Gov. Mitt Romney and the Legislature approved a $25 million emergency aid package to feed and house 235 of the evacuees at Camp Edwards. As of mid-September, the Red Cross had doled out another $25,000 in debit cards for victims sent to the Bay State.
The Camp Edwards residents have been treated to Red Sox and New Orleans Saints games, Boston Duck Tours, a chowder fest, concerts, and free cell phone and Internet service, as well as cookouts sponsored by Romney and U.S. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.). Since the Sept. 8 arrival of the original 235 evacuees, a handful of unruly drunks have been taken into protective custody, according to law enforcement officials. More than half the evacuees have left Camp Edwards for other housing, and 114 refugees remain at the encampment, which is slated for shutdown Thursday. Falmouth police Chief David Cusolita said police cracked down on public drinking at the Wal-Mart after complaints last month but he reported no recent incidents. Barnstable Sheriff Jim Cummings said some of the intoxicated refugees were taken into custody by state police, while others were escorted to their dorms.

Following Internet speculation that a feud has broken out between key members of MURDERDOLLS, guitarist Joey Jordison and vocalist Wednesday 13, the pair spoke exclusively to Britain's Kerrang! magazine to set the record straight.
According to Wednesday 13, the self-styled shock-rockers will record another album "only when the time is right."
On this last European tour, I did three or four shows with SLIPKNOT and it was the first time I'd even sat in a room with Joey in a really long time," says 13. "We really didn't get into a plan of attack.
"Everyone's been spreading the rumor that MURDERDOLLS are no more," he adds. "As long as SLIPKNOT exists, it will always be a side-project that can't function 100 percent. Something will always get in the way. I'm doing my own stuff right now, but one day it will happen."
The band's debut album, "Beyond the Valley of the Murderdolls", was re-packaged with a bonus DVD and enjoyed a re-release through the American arm of Roadrunner Records in late 2003. Since then, Jordison and 13 have channeled their efforts into their respective bands. Jordison, however, is vague about his glam-rock side-project's future.
"There are no plans to record a MURDERDOLLS album in the near future," Jordison tells Kerrang! "Wednesday compiled a lot of material while I was recording the last SLIPKNOT album. Basically that music has just been sitting around waiting for us if and when we are able to get to it. We have to get together and work out if it's something we still want to pursue. To tell you the truth, I'm more into SLIPKNOT now than I've ever been in my life. I want to concentrate on SLIPKNOT and SLIPKNOT only."

(Associated Press) Marty Casey didn't win the televised competition to become the new lead singer for INXS, but he's still going on the rock band's upcoming tour.
Casey was the runner-up to J.D. Fortune on CBS' "Rock Star: INXS." The band held the reality show competition to find a replacement for their former lead singer, Michael Hutchence, who committed suicide in 1997.
INXS has announced that Casey and his band, the Lovehammers, will open their Switched On tour, which is set to begin January 18 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
"Being the opening act is really the best possible scenario for me," Casey said in a statement. "I've been with my band for 15 years and now I get the best of both worlds."
Other stops on the INXS tour include Denver, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Detroit, Washington and Philadelphia.
Casey says he respects the band's choice of Fortune, "and I have more admiration for INXS by giving Marty Casey and the Lovehammers a chance. People are going to be blown away.

Star Trek star James Doohan's cremated remains will be launched into space in accord with his last wishes, the Reuters news service reported.
Commercial space flight operator Space Services Inc. will launch the late actor's remains into space aboard its Explorers Flight on Dec. 6, a company spokeswoman told the news service.
Doohan, who played the U.S.S. Enterprise's chief engineer Montgomery Scott on the original Trek series and subsequent films, will be among more than 120 others whose remains will be aboard the flight, including those of an unidentified astronaut and Mareta West, the astrogeologist who determined the site for the first spacecraft landing on the moon.
Doohan died in July at age 85. To mark the flight, Doohan's family will hold a service for fans on a 60-acre site near Vandenberg Air Force Base north of Los Angeles the day of the launch to pay tribute to him.
Doohan's cremated remains will be packed into a special tube that is ejected from the rocket and expected to orbit Earth for about 50 to 200 years before plunging into the planet's atmosphere and burning up.
Fans can post tributes to Doohan at the Space Services Web site www.spaceservicesinc.com. Those messages will be digitized, packed with Doohan and blasted into space.

Pirates biggest selling movie ever done?
--Chicago Tribune
Porn Valley- Chances are, most of you are still here, reading, and that partly explains the appeal of the adult film industry. Adult films exist for one reason and one reason alone: titillation. Name your particular kick or kink, and they offer just the thing for you. That's how it's become a multibillion dollar business.
But while the adult film industry has long paralleled Hollywood, with its big stars, big directors and big grosses (most earned on cable or home video), it's long been a leader technologically as well, especially when it comes to DVD. If the vast majority of skin flicks are quickly produced low-budget films, DVD has encouraged an ambitious minority to try and keep up with the mainstream with relatively lavish budgets, fancy effects and special edition DVDs.
"We're still battling the perception that porn has a certain quality level," says Ali Joone, owner of Digital Playground and director of the indeed surprisingly ambitious, months-in-the-making adult feature "Pirates," which was recently released on DVD. "The first reaction I get from people who watch `Pirates' is often, `Wow, I had no idea porn could look like that.' So it's a stepping stone for us to change people's minds and to expand our distribution. Not everything has to be the same. We can create movies that are adult themed and deal with subject matter that maybe Hollywood can't, and have an outlet for it."
"Pirates" premiered in September on the big screen at Hollywood's legendary Egyptian Theatre, a first for any adult feature, and advance DVD sales took Digital Playground and Adam & Eve--major players in the adult market who co-produced "Pirates"--by surprise.
"It's flying out the door," says Adam & Eve producer Meredith Christopher. "For Adam & Eve, it's the biggest-selling movie we've ever done."
You won't find "Pirates" in Wal-Mart, Blockbuster or on Amazon. Make no mistake: It's a XXX film. Yet it aims a little higher, throwing in some cool sets and costumes, more than 300 special effects and even a little humor. In fact, the film debuted on DVD in the same quality as any recent Ridley Scott special edition: on three well-packaged discs, including a high-def version of both the feature and the making-of footage, plus a commentary track.
Which demands the question: If it's titillation that draws people to "Pirates," who is sitting through a commentary track or making-of feature?
"I think that people, once they get involved in the movie, want to know as much about the movie as they can," says Steven Hirsch, CEO of Vivid Entertainment, probably the best known adult entertainment company. "`The New Devil in Miss Jones' [which contains three commentary tracks] is an interesting movie and serves its purpose, but they want to know all of the elements that went into creating it."
The original "The Devil in Miss Jones," directed by Gerard Damiano and released in 1973, rivaled his previous work, "Deep Throat,", www.xxxdeepthroat.com in both notoriety and profits. But "Devil" also had a real story and a dark edge more in line with Sartre than silly pizza delivery scenarios. Joone notes that the usual adult budget is between $20,000 and $25,000. Hirsch says that Vivid consistently spends $150,000 on a film, and that "The New Devil in Miss Jones" cost over $300,000.
"We're pretty sure what kind of money we're going to make from producing a typical adult movie," says Hirsch. " [But] there is a bigger payoff for bigger films. It's about building a brand, and to do that it takes many years of continuing to put out high-quality movies."
There's high quality, though, and then there's "Pirates," which features sea battles, marauding CGI skeletons and an entertaining script that could possibly even stand on its own, minus the sex. To that end, Joone and Digital Playground have been experimenting with alternate cuts of the film.
"I have a version with no sex in it, and it's 90 minutes long," says Joone. "I call it the NC-17 version--some nudity, a little sex, but very light. It'll be able to be sold in Blockbuster and all the normal distribution channels. As an artist, you want as many people to see your film as possible. That's why I put a lot of story and characters in it."
"If you take the sex scenes out and make them `Sex and the City' soft," says Digital Playground president Samantha Lewis of that show's boundary-pushing sex and nudity, "you've still got a great movie. We've got some mainstream studios interested in possibly distributing an R-rated version."

LONDON - Move over, Eros. Developers announced plans Friday to open a multimillion dollar sexual "theme park" near London's Piccadilly Circus, home to the much-photographed statue of the Greek god of love.
Backers say the London Academy of Sex and Relationships, due to open next spring, will not be a sleazy sex museum, but an educational multimedia attraction that will teach visitors to become better lovers and provide valuable information about disease and sexual problems.
Located within the Trocadero entertainment center — just around the corner from Soho, London's red-light district — the $8.3 million project will feature unspecified "high tech and interactive exhibits."
Alex Rayner, a spokesman for the project, said it was "committed to avoiding the sleazy image that the sex industry usually conjures."
"Titillation is not the goal," he said. "It's meant to be educational. It's meant to be informative."
The privately funded project has support from sexual health organizations including the Sexual Dysfunction Association and AIDS charity The Terrence Higgins Trust.
"It is long overdue that the U.K. faces up to its responsibilities in the sexual arena — we cannot simply avoid mankind's leading preoccupation and the issues that go with it," said the academy's director of exhibits, Dr. Sarah Brewer. "The academy is the perfect vehicle by which to address these important matters in an exciting, amusing and yet educational way."
Several cities around the world — including New York, Amsterdam, Barcelona and Paris — are home to erotic museums. Typically, they exhibit everything from pornography to high-minded paintings exploring local sexual attitudes and culture.

SEATTLE - The Coast Guard has tightened its rules for tattoos for the first time in 30 years in response to the increased popularity of permanent body art.
The goal is a more professional appearance for the military branch that has the most contact with the public.
"The 1940s, party-hard sailor is not the image we're going for," Chief Petty Officer Keith Alholm, a spokesman in the Coast Guard's Seattle-based 13th District, told the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
Recruiters have found an increasing number of applicants with "near 100 percent coverage on their arms and/or legs," according to the new policy, which went into effect over the summer.
Under the new rules, applicants whose tattoos cover more than 25 percent of an exposed limb will be turned away, the Coast Guard said. The previous standards were more general, prohibiting offensive tattoos but not naming a permissible amount.
So far, at least 26 applicants have been rejected under the new policy. There won't be repercussions for most Coast Guard members who already have tattoos.
"Our standards dated back to a time when tattooing was restricted to a very small portion of society ... Consequently, there was little need to spell out, in detail, the dos and don'ts of body art," said Cmdr. Wayne Muilenburg, the Washington, D.C.-based chief of the Coast Guard's Policy & Standards Division.
Other military branches also have tattoo policies. The Army has long prohibited tattoos that show when the soldier is in uniform. Last spring, it also banned offensive markings "regardless of location on the body." The Navy also bars visible tattoos.

As we previously reported:
ALTADENA, Calif. - Max Hardcore’s studio, Max World Entertainment, was raided approximately 10 a.m. today by FBI agents searching for five titles being investigated for obscenity by the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS) of the Department of Justice.
The titles under investigation are Pure Max 16: Euro Version, Max Hardcore Fists of Fury 3, Max Hardcore Extreme Schoolgirls 6: Euro Version, Max Hardcore Golden Guzzlers 5 and Max Hardcore Golden Guzzlers 6.
Hardcore is currently in Barcelona, Spain, Max World attorney Jeffrey Douglas told AVN.com.
Douglas relayed the following statement from Hardcore:
“Once again, the government is wasting tax dollars and otherwise invaluable law enforcement resources to try to force a minority view of morality on all of America. Five movies have been targeted by the Federal Prude Patrol. There is no indication of any crime to be alleged except obscenity. If indicted, I will fight to protect my liberty, as well as the liberty of consenting adults to watch other adults engage in lawful, consensual, pleasurable sexual action. Shame on the Bush Department of Justice. I am proud of the movies I make and proud of those who buy and sell those movies.”

Our old pal John C from Heathen World who many of us knew and loved as the Reverend Furious Fury Strikes again. John sure can rant much like the way Elvis popped pills. Love it or hate it, we've missed John's take on current events. Now he's back and his target the powers that be and the powers that lacked around the recent tragedies in NOLA.
there are a couple facts worth mentioning ...
huge difference between a category 4 hurricane and a category 2 hurricane
army core of engineers in charge of new orleans flood barriers.. barriers in obvious disrepair in spite of army core warnings due to lack of federal money for many years. not a republican or democratic thing.. probably not a racist thing either.. we can thank the screwed up priorities of screwed up politicians elected by a largely uncaring public.
new orleans paper ran huge story about the potential disaster the year prior. the local newspaper was evidently more accurate than federal govt.
new orleans mayor took dumb risk by not ordering evacuation earlier
bush made money available to fema before the storm. on one hand, fema is no longer a cabnet level entity due to bush's reorganization, so the director had to go through more red tape to get the army there. on the other hand, the fema director was too stupid to do anything useful regardless of the situation.
bush was pummelled so badly after the first hurricane that he and everyone else did everything possible to insure texas was not a repeat. if houston had been hit by a category 4 first, it would have been bad.
regarding mayor of new orleans asking people to repopulate .. he quickly reversed himself when danger from the 2nd hurricane was obvious. a week later people were indeed coming back to town.
there was a lot of awful and herioc activity in new orleans.. basically only the negative was reported.
some of the awful activity was the fault of criminal residents .. some was the fault of paranoid neighboring communities. many new orleans residents were forced at gunpoint to stay in that awful situation instead of being allowed to walk along the highway to somewhere that at least had dry ground and food.
super dome chaos was insanely overblown by media. the only person shot there was a national guard member that shot himself in the leg. one guy killed himself and 5 or 6 others died of non-violent causes.
only the army was prepared for a situation of that magnitude with no working infrastructure. federal and local civilians were equally helpless.
now a bit of theory..
making this a democrat / republican thing is silly. that choice is like pepsi vs. coke. both made with secret recipes, artificially sweet, not good for us, and heartily drank by an evidently stupid public. we as a nation get what we deserve .. and lately that has not been pretty.
i guess it's natural for people to grab at intellectual crutches .. it's easy to get conspiratorial, racist, born again, satanic, nihilistic, angry, politically correct, criminal, survivalist, insane, conservative, liberal, anarchist, green, communist, nationalist, nazi, libertarian..
i've had friends over the years that fit all those descriptions .. all those friends watched out for themselves first, cared about others next, and looked down on people with different world views .. more alike than they realize.
let's face it. humans are not all that great at getting along with eachother.. the size of this planet helped for awhile.. now we're so damned clever we can fly everywhere and communicate with anyone, and we still suck at getting along.
on the other hand, my life is peaceful, and the variety of food and creature comforts avialable to my middle class salary is something the vast majority of humanity in all of history could only dream of. i don't know how long our little bubbles of prosperity will last. i just watch it all with amazement and try not to piss off anyone with a gun or a badge.
cheers to the crazy times,
john

BOISE, Idaho – One week into the Blackest of the Black Tour, the iniquitous
Norwegian industrial rock band Mortiis has been greeted by a fervent response
from American audiences.
“The response has been amazing so far,” said Mortiis’ frontman and
namesake. “We’ve been playing in front of about 1,000 people every
night.”
MK Magazine and NEO in Chicago will host an aftershow/DVD release party for Mortiis’ upcoming
“Soul in a Hole” DVD following this Monday’s show at that city’s House
of Blues. The party will run from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. There is no cover. NEO
is located at 2350 N. Clark Street, Chicago, Ill. 60614. (773) 528-2622
Mortiis began his journey down an ever-evolving path in the early ‘90s as a
singular mastermind who a decade later would be the namesake of Mortiis’
full-band incarnation. Mortiis – the man and the band - have traveled many
musical paths over the course of their career, with each release stepping
further away from the last and expanding into new territories. The Mortiis of
today takes the darkness of the earlier ambient creations and fuses it with
deep-seated anger and aggression. “The Grudge,” Mortiis’s latest
release, is a twisted mixture of electronics, fierce guitars, and hard-hitting
drumming.

October 2005 - Stevenson Entertainment Group has entered into an agreement with Bravado International for figural and statue rights to the infamous band Motorhead.
For the past 30 years, Lemmy Kilmister and his band Motorhead have seen and done it all and lived to tell about it. And what's more amazing is that they're still going strong. Not only did Motorhead pick up a Grammy in 2005, but they're still out on the road playing to sold out crowds around the world.
Viewed by his peers and the masses as the "Godfather" of hard rock music, Lemmy has become an indisputable icon that has etched his place in history as one of the best.
SEG is proud to announce it will be releasing a highly detailed figure of Lemmy Kilmister in the Spring of 2006 with a statue of the iconic Warpig logo in the Fall of 2006.

FROM WWW.NEWS.COM.AU POP mum Britney Spears was reportedly ducking for cover after an alleged x-rated home video with hubby Kevin Federline has surfaced.
The Sun online reports a member of Spears' posse allegedly recorded the video nasty while Britney was pregnant with the couple's son, Sean Preston. He is reportedly threatening to release it.
A source told US Weekly magazine: "He has threatened to release raunchy footage of the two taken before Spears looked pregnant."
It is believed the tape was copied from the singer's alleged private collection with Federline.
It wouldn't be the first time a celebrity has been caught out after filming a sex tape with a lover.
Earlier this year, Hollywood actor Colin Farrell blocked release of a tape he made with Playboy playmate Nicole Narain.
A British judge banned the broadcast of video showing model Elizabeth Jagger engaging in "sexual activities" with her boyfriend Calum Best - son of former soccer star George Best - in a London nightclub in March this year. The pair engaged in sexual activities just inside the club's doors on February 17. The couple were captured on a closed-circuit television camera they failed to notice.
Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst sued 10 website operators, also in March, for posting the rocker's homemade sex tape after it was stolen from his computer.
The three-minute clip of Durst and a former girlfriend was filmed in 2003 and began appearing on the internet this year.
In 2003, hotel heiress Paris Hilton starred in an infamous sex tape with boyfriend-at-the-time Rick Solomon.
Jennifer Lopez sued rap mogul Marion 'Suge' Knight in 2001 to stop him from showing a video on the internet reportedly of her having sex with a former boyfriend. Knight denied he had any such tape.
A home video of Baywatch star Pamela Anderson having marathon sex with her husband rocker Tommy Lee in 1997 became the world's hottest porn item.
It has sold more than 200,000 copies.
Closer to home, copies of intimate sex tape recorded in 1997 by Australian singer Debra Byrne and her ex-lover, Chris Bekker, found their way into video shops.
And Perry Farrell, frontman for Jane's Addiction and Porno For Pyros, won an injunction in 1998 to stop distribution of a tape featuring himself and a former girlfriend. Farrell's lawyer Ed McPherson also served as former Poison singer Bret Michael's lawyer in a similar case, where the big-haired rocker successfully stopped the release of a video capturing his exploits with Pamela Anderson.

Glenn Danzig, who's hard at work making toys, finishing his sequel to Black Aria and prepping his final tour, talked a little today about the feature film he's working on entitled Ge Rouge, a "voodoo zombie" flick he'll also direct for Rainstorm Productions.
Read more below.
This holiday season, won't you give the gift of Glenn Danzig? The quick-tempered, long-in-sideburn rocker has scads of merchandise on the horizon, including a 10-inch-tall Danzig doll scheduled to surface right before Christmas. The doll is the first
in a series Japanese toy manufacturer Medicom is calling "The Three Faces of Danzig."
"That first one's going to be the Misfits-era Danzig," explained Danzig, the former/founding frontman for the hardcore-punk cult favorites. "The second one'll be the Samhain version of Danzig, all covered in blood, and the third one will be [Danzig II: Lucifuge-era] Danzig, with the upside-down medallion and the belt buckle. They debuted at the San Diego Comic-Con this summer, and Medicom's booth was mobbed."
First, though, there's Danzig's Blackest of the Black Tour, which features a lineup handpicked by Glenn himself: Chimaira, Behemoth, Himsa, Mortiis and the Agony Scene, with Danzig headlining. Former Misfits guitarist Doyle Von Frankenstein is joining him onstage each night for a special 30-minute set of Misfits classics. The 22-date trek runs through October 29 in Los Angeles.
"It's something I've been working on for a long time, and we're finally getting to take it all over the place," Danzig said. "But I don't want it to be like Ozzfest. It's for bands that get ignored by radio and television but sell out venues that are either the same size or bigger than venues that, say, bands that get played a lot on the radio can't sell a ticket to save their lives. It's exactly like when Danzig and Slayer came up. No one would play us, but we would go in and sell out venues, to everyone's shock. The Ozzfest is a corporate buy-on, and this is my answer to it.
"The first year we did Blackest, it was Superjoint Ritual, Opeth, Nile, Behemoth, Lacuna Coil," he continued. "The next year on Ozzfest, a bunch of those bands were on the bill — that's no coincidence. I'm hoping [Blackest] will maybe expose these bands and help them get on some of those other mainstream festivals. But, again, it's not going to be like Ozzfest. I'm not going to be on it every year."
In fact, Danzig said Blackest of the Black will be his last tour — well, maybe. It's possible but not definite. We think.
"I'm done after this tour," he said. "Maybe I'll change my mind and do some local shows. I don't want to tour anymore. Unless I change my mind — I might just take a break for two or three years. I'm just burned out on it. I don't enjoy it anymore. I love being onstage. But the other 22 hours of the day, spent bouncing around on a bus — I don't know anymore. I'll still be doing music, because that's my first love. But no more tours. This is it."
Of course, Danzig's a man of many loves: He's a determined weight lifter and a certified teacher of Jeet Kune Do. And he's just finished penning the third draft for "Ge Rouge," a "voodoo zombie" flick he'll also direct, which is based on the comic he publishes through his Verotika firm; Rainstorm Productions will release the project. The film is set in New Orleans at the turn of the 20th century, and Danzig says he plans to shoot part of the movie in the storm-ravaged city.
"We had scheduled at least seven to 10 days down there before this whole Hurricane Katrina thing happened," he said. "But there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The French Quarter is not underwater, and that's where I need to shoot. Everything else I can fake here in Hollywood. But you can't re-create those French Quarter houses. So we'll have to go down there to do that."
Later this year, Danzig will release Black Aria 2, the sequel to 1993's Black Aria. He said it's been written for years but wasn't recorded until last year. "It's [a classical, operatic piece] based on Lilith," the mythological first wife of Adam, Danzig said. "It's different from the first record but similar in a lot of ways."
He's also been working on a two-disc Danzig box set. The collection will feature all unreleased material recorded between 1988's Danzig up to now.
"It's called The Lost Tracks of Danzig, and it's incredible," he said. "There'll be tons of old photos inside. There's a cover of Bowie's 'Cat People' that no one's ever heard. There's a cover of [T. Rex's] Marc Bolan's 'Buick Mackane' no one's ever heard, from the Danzig III sessions. Just tons of songs no one's ever heard, like 'Bound by Blood' and some other tracks. People will just be blown away." That should surface sometime next year and contain 25 tracks.
The two things Danzig's not planning on undertaking: Samhain and Misfits reunions.
"That's not going to happen," he said, laughing. As for the Misfits, "there's too much bad blood between [bassist] Jerry [Only] and me, and I think there's some problems between Doyle and Jerry that would have to be worked out as well. I don't keep in touch with any of those guys anymore. If I see [drummer Ron Reyes], he's a nice guy. I haven't seen [drummer Arthur] Googy in a while, but we don't have any problems with each other. I don't know about any of the other guys. I don't even know where the fuck they are."

Musican Greg Miner, Gauge and Zander After Photoshoot Chicago 2004
SOURCE: Gene Ross, AdultFYI.com
Porn Valley- Mr. Smith went to Washington but will Gauge be going to Tampa? That was the issue on the table Monday night when Gauge visited The Wanker Show on KSEX. Wankus more than assumed that Gauge would be going to Tampa, however Gauge weaved a tapestry of drama about airline tickets that put the Night Moves people in the hot seat. That's when Wankus got on the air with Night Moves' Tracy Allen. And that's when Wankus discovered that he wasn't going to be hosting the show which is what he was apparently led to believe. Allen told Wankus he'd be presenting an award, however.
During the conversation, Allen mentioned that arrangements could be made for Gauge to have the tickets flaked on by one of the talent. A quick two and two together suggested that Allen might have been talking about Alexis Amore.
Wankus also read the list of the stars that would be attending.
Gene sez: I spoke to Gauge as she was going to porn star karaoke Tuesday night. Apparently ensuing conversations between her and Tracy Allen have convinced Gauge not to go to Tampa.
"I guess I'm going to tell you about how fucked up Night Moves is," Gauge said. "Today it came to a big atomic bomb. It came to a head." Gauge said she had been invited to Night Moves a week and a half ago by Mark Perry. "I met him in Deja Vu a long time ago in Florida when I was down there. He originally invited me way back then." Gauge said some of the communications got screwed up because there was an attempt to contact her through xxxgauge which is not her website. Her site is www.ilovegauge.com.
She was finally contacted prior to her coming out to Los Angeles. Gauge was still all for going to the show.
"Then we started looking for tickets," said Gauge who discovered that tickets by then were more expensive. So it was agreed that she'd pay the difference plus the fact that she'd pay for her boyfriend Jason's ticket.
"It was going to be out of Arkansas," she explains. "In the end it was cheaper for me to fly out of Arkansas and have merchandise shipped out." According to Gauge, the travel agent, Vickie, got tickets and she was ready to go. But on Saturday Gauge says she got a call from the travel agent informing her that Allen wasn't approving the tickets or something to that effect. Gauge was told to call Allen and straighten things out.
"I called this lady Tracy over and over and over," say Gauge. "She never gets back to me. Then I call Vickie and tell her I don't know what to do. By this time it's Monday and nobody knew what was going on." According to Gauge, she finally got a call from Allen on Tuesday after Wankus ambushed Allen with a call on the air Monday night on KSEX.
"The point is I didn't know the fuckin' lady until she called me," said Gauge. "Then I got a real good taste of what she's all about. She's like, what's going on? 'I talked to Mark. I talked to Wankus. I talked to Vickie.' I tell her it's no big deal we'll get it worked out. But you guys didn't get back to me- all you had to say was, trust us, and we'll reimburse you back for your ticket. That's all anybody had to say. It's not personal. I would have gotten the tickets but I was told you guys would get the tickets and I'd get paid back. She says, well, let me see how I can say this without being rude or mean. She goes, well, I could care less where you have to be. And as far as boyfriends, I'm not responsible for boyfriends and, actually, they fuck up the whole show because the girls are supposed to room together.
"I don't want this stupid bitch to give a fuck about me or Jason," Gauge goes on to say. "I didn't ask her to. Then this is what set me flying- 'The only reason why we called you is because there was an empty seat because a girl cancelled.' Which is Alexis Amore. I said, okay, are you done? She [Allen] says I'm done. I go what you said is rude and mean. You're telling me you never wanted me there. You just called me that I was convenient and you had one extra seat open. You were just going to throw me second best behind Alexis Amore. I told her with the boyfriend-thing, who's going to take my Polaroids? Who's going to watch my fucking merchandise when I'm off talking to a fan and some dumb yahoo goes to steal my movies or something? Allen told me we have great security. We have the finest reputation and security people. Well, you know lady? I don't fuckin' trust anybody. I said you know what? I'm going to think about whether I want to come to Tampa or not since I'm second best. In the mean time why don't you think about not reproducing. I hung up. I was, like, fuckin' bitch. I was fuming."
Gauge said she calmed down but was tempted to call Allen back and really let her have it. After she had calmed down, Gauge called Allen back.
"I'm, like, as you know or figured out if you've got half a brain, I'm not fucking coming. I'm not going to be treated like this. You're not going to talk to me like shit. And you really didn't want me there. She didn't really care. She was, like, I don't like couples coming down here like it's a big party taking advantage of me. Whatever. I told her I treat people the way I want to be treated until someone's a fuckin' cunt to me. So if you want to play a game, we'll play a game. We can play let's go hide and fuck yourself."
Gauge said what irritates her the most is the fact that's advertised the fact that she was going and is now going to let her fans down.
"What's going to happen when the fans come up and go where's Gauge at? Oh, she's just one of those flakey bitches. Is that what you're going to say, Tracy? She's, like, I would never say anything like that. I said, you know what? You're a lying bitch. My fans are going to know I didn't flake out on them. I don't want my fans to think I bailed out and am one of these bitches that changes my mind every ten seconds.
"I told her I know you companies- the ones that don't like the boyfriends to come along are the fucked up companies that want a chance to take advantage of and manipulate the girls, because you know there'd be someone to take up for them. Don't treat me like I'm fuckin' stupid, Tracy. I was so pissed. I said other than that, have a nice goddamn show."I asked Gauge if she had gone to the Tampa Show in the past.
"Actually she made a comment on Wankus' show," Gauge replied. "She said, yeah, Gauge was supposed to be here two years ago but Metro had her double booked or something. Metro had me doing a signing. Two days before I'm leaving for the signing, they go, oh, you've got to be in Tampa in two days. I'm like, oh, I'm supposed to be at this signing in two days. I can't be in two places at once. Then they decided to call me a flake. She's [Allen], like, you flaked out on us a couple of years ago. Whatever, you dumb bitch, you were just on Wankus' show talking about how Metro totally fucked all of us over on that. Unfortunately that's what I get for working for fucked up companies which is another reason why I've decided I'm not coming to the show, because you're right in there with them. Nobody's going to talk to me like that. It's real fucked up."
What also disturbs Gauge is the fact that she wanted to go to Tampa to hang out with Wankus and Tyler Faith because she didn't have much of an opportunity to do that in Los Angeles. Plus she wanted to see her fans.
"I really wanted to go." Another kick in the ass, says Gauge, is the fact that her boyfriend found tickets on the Internet a lot cheaper than what the travel agent was going to give them to her for. Gauge said everyone was busting their balls to get her there and she started to stress out over the situation.
"Then I was, like, whatever happens, happens. I'm not going to worry about it. Sure enough, this shit happens. When I was talking to her [Allen] I was really nice and everything because I didn't know the lady. Then she was, like, boom-bam, I don't want to be rude or mean but I could care less where you have to be. A bitch-woman, dude. People like that don't need to reproduce and I want to find their parents and slap them for reproducing. The world would be a much better place.
"And the fact that she's shacking girls up like cattle? The chintzy motherfuckers. They're claiming they make no money at all? Which is funny because my fans tell me they have to pay $50 to get in to see us. I also told Tracy to go and have fun with all the fat, nasty bitches that are going to be there. Half them bitches have tities hanging down to their ankles. I don't give a fuck. There's a couple of hot ones but it's going to be a big stink-fest."

MK's Zander With Max 2004

Out promoting his DVD release of Land of the Dead, Bloody Disgusting caught up with George Romero to talk about a few things, including sequel(s) to Land of the Dead and his Stephen King adaptation. Here's a sample:
Question: Will there be a sequel to your current film, "Land of the Dead"?
Romero: If I live, I hope so. I'd like to wait until something else happens in the world to generate a new idea but with things the way they are now, it could be a dirty bomb and...that's all folks. But yes, my plan is for "Land of the Dead" to be the 4th of six films.
Question: I heard a rumor that the next film might be titled "World of the Dead". Any credence to that rumor?
Romero: That has nothing to do with me, never heard of it. But if you know who IS doing such a film, have him give me a call.
Question: I have heard that you may be adapting one of Stephen King's novels. What's the truth behind that rumor?
Romero: Steve and I go way back and he's a great guy and I wanted to do "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon", which is a wonderful story. I've actually already written the adaptation and wanted Dakota Fanning for the lead role. But Hollywood thought the story was "too soft", especially with my name attached to it so it's on hold for now. But we came VERY close to doing it! Perhaps one day soon.

Salt Lake City’s Deseret News reported yesterday that new DVD copies of the Mormon boy-band comedy SONS OF PROVO were accidentally sent out with the Italian gay melodrama ADORED: DIARY OF A PORN STAR encoded onto the disc instead of the family-friendly comedy. The packaging and label for the SONS OF PROVO DVD had the correct artwork and text, but viewers were surprised to see ADORED when the DVD began playing on their television screens. Apparently, the mistake was made by the third-party company contracted to do the DVD replication for both films. Neither Wolfe (the distributor of ADORED) nor Halestorm Entertainment (the distributor of SONS OF PROVO) was aware of the mistake until customers began to complain about the mix-up.
Kathy Wolfe, the founder and CEO of Wolfe Video, comes from a family that includes several Mormons, and says of the mix-up, “Of course our company has no responsibility or involvement in the mistake, but we are concerned that some families might have been upset by the sexual nature of the film.” And, she added with a wink, “But, if any of the adults in the audience enjoyed what they saw, we encourage them to check out the entire DVD of ADORED and some of the many fine films available from Wolfe.”

INXS' made-for-TV search for a new lead singer is over. Now it's time to see if J.D. Fortune can make the band a new sensation again.
The Aussie rockers on Tuesday announced the itinerary for the long-awaited world tour they've been promising since the beginning of their reality TV competition, Rock Star: INXS.
The first leg of INXS' Switched On tour will commence Jan. 18 in Vancouver and travel to theaters in more than 20 cities across North America before wrapping up on Feb. 18 in Washington, D.C.
Tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster the weekend of Oct. 15. A complete listing of tour dates can be found at INXS.com.
Before hitting the road, however, the veteran band will put the wraps on its first album with Fortune, Switch, which Epic Records plans to release Nov. 29.
The day after Fortune was crowned winner of Rock Star, the band issued the Fortune-fronted single "Pretty Vegas," its first studio release of any kind since original vocalist Michael Hutchence committed suicide in 1997.
INXS hopes the tour will build on the success of the Mark Burnett-produced American Idol-style reality contest on CBS, in which surviving band members Andrew, Tim and Jon Farriss, Kirk Pengilly, and Garry Beers auditioned 15 aspiring rock stars. The show increased its viewership throughout its 13-week run and helped propel The Best of INXS to the top of Billboard's Pop Catalog Chart last week.
To play to the TV fans, INXS has tapped runner-up Marty Casey and his band, the Lovehammers, as the opening act.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the 32-year-old Chicago-based Casey is currently working on new material and plans to play the track "Trees," which he debuted to much acclaim on Rock Star.
In addition to the tour, INXS will join the newly reunited Gang of Four and Dredg for an Oct. 17 performance at the grand opening of the new Virgin Megastore in Hollywood. The gig will mark Fortune's official concert debut.

PRONG will be headlining The Reaper's Ball, an independently produced metal festival making its first-year debut on Saturday, October 29, at the Station 4 nightclub in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota.
Created by Nathan Block of SwordLord Productions and Brian Huebner of Left Alone Creations, The Reaper's Ball will feature national and local acts headlining side-by-side.
"Brian and I were looking to do a festival that showcased local music as well as national talent," Block said in a press release. "We also wanted the concert to be affordable. There's nothing worse than having to pass on an amazing musical event because you don't have the cash to go."
Co-headlining the event is IMPALER, Minnesota's very own shock-rock band with a long and gloriously gory history in the Twin Cities. IMPALER will be performing their "Big Halloween Show" especially for this festival, which features an elaborate on-stage performance with actors, props and gallons of fake blood. Very comparable to the on-stage mayhem of a GWAR show, an IMPALER set is almost as visual as it is acoustical which means that even if the music isn't your thing, you'll have a great time watching them!
This year's special guest is SKULLVIEW, a cult underground sensation from Indiana. SKULLVIEW has a musical style very similar to heavy metal legend JUDAS PRIEST.
Supporting this festival are the best metal bands that the Twin Cities has to offer. Finishing off this year's festival line-up are COLD COLOURS, CWN ANNWN, FORGOTTEN SUN, UNDER EDEN and SEARED. All five of these bands are said to be Twin Cities-based musicians with "pure metal coursing through their veins."
